While a lot of the Syrian war has quieted down, one thing that consistently happens is Israel attacking targets in the country. Nominally these targets are “Iranians” they’re trying to hit, but often the result is just infrastructure damage.


Israeli Defense Minister Reveals Map Of Alleged Precision-Guided Missile Factories In Syria

On September 12, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz revealed a map of military facilities across Syria he alleged were used to manufacture precision-guided missiles for Iran and its allies in the Middle East.


The outbreak of cholera in Syria presents a serious threat to people in the war-torn country and the region, a U.N. official said Tuesday, adding that urgent action is needed to prevent further cases and deaths.

The statement by the U.N. Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Syria, Imran Riza, came after health officials in the country reported at least five deaths and more than two dozen cases in different provinces.


ISIS killed seven US-backed Kurdish SDF fighters on Monday as part of an ongoing operation at the camp housing tens of thousands of former ISIS fighters.

ISIS released a video showing the killing of six Kurds who had been captured in the operation. The six were all captured alive and executed later.


Israel continues to launch attacks on Syria under the pretext of disturbing Iranian weapons shipments meant for Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Late on September 6, a new Israeli aerial attack targeted the northern governorate of Aleppo. The attack was launched from the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, right off the coast of the city of Lattakia.


Chinese state media is reporting based on Syrian war monitors that the Pentagon has expanded its presence inside Syria by establishing a new hub of operations in the northeastern province of Hasakah this past weekend.

"The new military base was set up in the village of Naqara, 3 km southwest of the city of Qamishli in Hasakah province, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights" - as cited in Xinhua.


The US is reportedly growing its military presence in Syria this weekend, with the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights saying they have set up a third military base in northeastern Hasakeh Province.

The latest base is just 3 km from Qamishli, a Kurdish SDF city which also hosted a Syrian air force site in recent years. All three bases are in or near SDF territory.


Without legal authorization from Congress, the U.S. military launched a series of bombing campaigns this week against what American officials characterized as Iranian proxies in Syria, intensifying tit-for-tat violence that observers fear could spill into a broader and deadlier conflict.
