This country has been having a nationwide nervous breakdown since 9/11. A nation of people suddenly broke, the market economy goes to shit, and they’re threatened on every side by an unknown, sinister enemy. But I don't think fear is a very effective way of dealing with things—of responding to reality. Fear is just another word for ignorance.”

The ancient Othman bin Qashqar Mosque, located in the old town of Gaza City, was bombed by Israeli warplanes on Thursday, causing casualties among people and damage to nearby homes, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

The mosque was built in the year 620 Hijra (1220 AD), and it is one of the oldest mosques and archaeological sites in the Gaza Strip.

Deep in a Cambodian old-growth forest, Buddhist "ecology monks" wrap trees in saffron clerical robes before ordaining the trees into the Buddhist faith.

The practice is an example of "forest activism" that spread to Cambodia after Thai monks in the 1990s began ordaining trees as they would a new monk.

Ordained trees become sacred and protected from illegal logging because harming an ordained monk is taboo in the Buddhist religion.

The “extremist” march at Al Aqsa Mosque complex in Jerusalem on Thursday evening was aborted after police asked participants to leave.

According to a police spokesperson, given the racist chants and protestors disobeying police, it was decided not to allow the continuation of the protest "to prevent friction and maintain public order in the place."

"The Israel Police will continue to allow freedom of expression and protest within the limits of the law, but will not allow the violation of public order contrary to the law," the spokesperson said.

A new report issued Monday by the House Weaponization Subcommittee claims that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) “abused its counterterrorism tools” in order to target Catholics and pro-life supporters “as potential domestic terrorists.”

In recent years, Americans have learned about several troubling scandals coming from the FBI. Plenty of conservatives lost faith in the agency after it raided the home of former President Donald Trump.

We also learned that the agency had evidence regarding possible crimes committed by Joe Biden’s son, Hunter. Yet, the FBI refused to investigate, believing it would influence the 2020 Election.

The Anti-Defecation League (ADL) has issued a press release demanding the banning of the expression “God’s mercy” from social media. According to the ADL, the notion that God is merciful, and the associated idea that mercy is good, is “a direct attack on Jews and their beliefs.”

Israel's police has authorized far right Jewish activists to march on the Temple Mount/ Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem on Thursday evening to demand an end to control by the Waqf, the Islamic endowment which administers the holy site.

The activists are calling to "restore full Jewish control over the Temple Mount and Jerusalem," against Waqf control that has traditionally declared strong opposition to any Jewish religious expression there.

The march, limited to 200 participants, is slated to follow the Flag Parade route through the Damascus Gate and the Muslim Quarter.

As the Israeli army's brutality against civilians in Gaza continues, with attacks on schools, health centres and hospitals, a religious leader from the Iranian Jewish community made a bold comparison between the Israeli government and the extremist group ISIS.

Hundreds have gathered at a Christian church after the pastor was replaced with an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot for the service.

The Friday sermon at St. Paul’s Church in Fürth, Germany, was delivered by the AI chatbot ChatGPT.

The chatbot replaced the human pastor and was presented as a black man with a beard on a large screen above the altar of the evangelical church in Bavaria.

Claiming to be a steward of God, the AI chatbot told the packed congregation not to fear death, according to the Associated Press.
