Update (1650ET): So after today's big White House meeting with tech leaders, President Trump announced that they had signed a "morally binding" (lol) document governing the development of artificial intelligence. 

Following the luncheon, Trump told reporters that he's "seeing tremendous self-policing," and that the administration is looking to assemble a 10-person committee tasked with overseeing the AI industry.

Recent disclosures about China’s purported in-orbit servicing operations have intensified a quiet revolution in space, where the mechanics of satellite sustainment are swiftly becoming the frontline of great-power counterspace rivalry.

The Daily Caller News Foundation dug through Chinese government and state media reports and came back with findings that raise serious national security questions about a woman who served at the highest levels of the American executive branch for years.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the United States and China agreed to extend the so-called Busan Agreement until January 10. He described it as extra time to explore a “bigger deal” on the economic front. The truce was due to expire in November. The extension delays new tariff actions while both sides keep talking. The agreement frames ongoing talks under President Trump and aims to limit near-term shocks to prices and supply chains as the holiday shipping season winds down.

China’s reusable spaceplane the Shenlong has demonstrated a sophisticated sequence of orbital manoeuvres involving the repeated release, pursuit and recapture of a small satellite, providing new evidence of the vehicle’s ability to conduct rendezvous and proximity operations in space. Tracking data indicate that the spacecraft released the same object in June, retrieved it approximately three weeks later, released it again in August and then manoeuvred back towards it for another apparent capture in September.

The exchange began when Jesse Watters asked about reports of proposed laws that could expose AI developers to criminal penalties for violating new regulations.
