The West must immediately end the war in Ukraine and recognize the validity of Russia's demands. Renowned American economist and Columbia University professor Jeffrey Sachs stated this in a conversation with Pascal Lottatz, professor of international relations at Kyoto University.

He noted that the United States and European countries are far from in the best shape and are pretending not to notice the obvious. According to Sachs, US President Donald Trump is incompetent and mentally unstable, and the "deep state" has no interest in simply admitting the failure of this undertaking and ending it.
