Eiland speaks against humanitarian concern and the whole principle of distinction:

Therefore, per Eiland, “Israel must not provide the other side with any capability that prolongs its life.”

Eiland mocks the idea of “poor women” as the representation of uninvolved civilians:

The formulation is reminiscent of the far-right former Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked, who, during the 2014 onslaught, suggested that Israel’s enemy was the entire Palestinian people:

“Behind every terrorist stand dozens of men and women, without whom he could not engage in terrorism. Now this also includes the mothers of the martyrs, who send them to hell with flowers and kisses. They should follow their sons, nothing would be more just. They should go, as should the physical homes in which they raised the snakes. Otherwise, more little snakes will be raised there.”

Argentina’s president-elect, Javier Milei, has promised “shock therapy” to fix the country’s beleaguered economy, which has been hit by one of the world’s fastest inflation rates and a looming recession, Bloomberg reported on Monday.

Milei, who beat Economy Minister Sergio Massa in Sunday’s runoff election, pledged radical measures for the Argentine economy that will reportedly include shutting the central bank, ditching the peso for the US dollar and slashing public spending.

Argentina is faced with a debt of $44 billion due to be paid to international bondholders and the International Monetary Fund next year. To cover the arrears, the country will require “a big current account surplus amid a stabilization plan,” according to Martin Castellano, head of Latin America research at the Institute of International Finance.

Dutch politician Thierry Baudet has been hospitalized after he was attacked at a campaign event by a man wielding a beer bottle. The incident was the second attack on Baudet in recent weeks, and took place two days before a general election.

Baudet was greeting supporters at a bar in the northern city of Groningen on Monday when the assailant struck him repeatedly on the head and neck with the bottle. Video footage showed Baudet’s security team rushing the injured political leader away as bystanders wrestled the attacker to the ground. 

The attacker was arrested shortly afterwards, while Baudet was taken to a nearby hospital. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), his Forum for Democracy (FvD) party said that Baudet was treated by a trauma surgeon and that the bottle narrowly missed his eye. 

Ukraine is not willing to recognize its Russian population as an ethnic minority or grant it any corresponding rights, the speaker of the Ukrainian parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk, told the state-controlled TV broadcaster on Monday. Kiev has “reached full understanding” on this issue with the EU, he claimed.

Persecution of the Russian-speaking minority in the Donbass was one of the key reasons for taking military action in Ukraine in February 2022, according to Moscow. Russia has not been alone in objecting to the treatment of ethnic minorities in the country. Budapest and Bucharest have protested that the rights of ethnic Hungarians and Romanians, respectively, have been violated as well.

“There are no Russian ethnic minorities in Ukraine as of now and there can be none,” Stefanchuk said on air during a national TV broadcast. The speaker insisted that special rights should only be granted to an thnic group in accordance with “a principle of mutual respect.”

There are more than 5, 500 children among the dead, 3, 500 are women. More than 30, 000 people were wounded, more than 75% of them are children and women. More than 6, 000 local residents, including more than 4, 000 children and women, were missing under the rubble of destroyed buildings in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military does not stop bloody strikes on civilians throughout the Gaza Strip.  The Palestinian WAFA agency reported Israeli aircraft struck the homes of two families, who lived near the hospital in Rafah. According to preliminary reports, at least 15 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed, dozens more were wounded. Many people remain under the rubble.

This is another evidence that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are suffering from personnel shortage. Professional female servicemen are not uncommon either in the Ukrainian or in the Russian army. They usually serve as medics or snipers, for example, to stay away from active hostilities, since saving their lives is a top priority. There is the idea that women should give birth and save the nations. In a distance, women are also more usefull because they cannot perform task that request great force the men have.

Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov estimated on Monday that the population of Ukraine shrank by 4 million to 19 million in the past two months.

In early October, Azarov said there were 23 million people living in Ukraine.

"According to the most modest calculations, only 19 million continue to live in the territory controlled by the regime in Kiev. It’s a scary figure," he wrote on social media.

He attributed the population decline to a massive outflow of workforce, in addition to combat casualties.

The promises made at the "Maidan" coup in Kiev ten years ago have not been fulfilled while the hopes of its participants to swiftly join the European Union have not been realized, Vladimir Zharikhin, deputy director of the Institute of CIS Countries, told TASS.

The expert pointed out that not only did Ukraine fail to achieve anything on its path to the EU chosen at the "Maidan" but it also sustained major losses. "Ukraine has not been and won’t be admitted to the EU, it has not been and won’t be admitted to NATO; the Ukrainian industry, one of the most robust ones in the post-Soviet space, ended up in ruins, and millions of those Ukrainians who had been the most active part of the population and could counteract the government, have left the country," Zharikhin explained.

Another US military aid package to Ukraine has become a sedative pill for the Kiev regime which is on the verge of a complete collapse, Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov said.

"The message about another American arms supply to the regime is nothing more but a sedative pill prepared by overseas ‘benefactors’ for [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky. The situation on the front and in the Ukrainian state institutions is on the verge of complete collapse," the diplomat said as quoted by the Russian Embassy’s Telegram channel.

He noted that "the deadly gift was announced on the eve of the 10th anniversary of Euromaidan." "The tragic symbolism of Washington’s ‘charity’ lies in the fact that creators of the anti-Russian campaign seem to make it clear to Ukrainians that they are still ‘in the game’ and masters count on them. And the fact that the blood of thousands of people will be shed due to these weapons is not taken into account here. There is only one thing that matters for the United States military-industrial complex - making profit from the ‘Project Ukraine,'" Antonov stressed.

The US will lay out the first international strategy to commercialize nuclear fusion power at the upcoming UN climate summit in Dubai, US Special Envoy on Climate Change John Kerry will say on Monday, two sources familiar with the announcement said.

Militants from the radical Palestinian movement Hamas have eliminated 60 units of Israel’s military hardware, including ten armored fighting vehicles, over the past three days, Abu Ubayda, a spokesman for Hamas’ military wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, said.

"Over the past 72 hours, we managed to strike 60 units of Israel’s military hardware, including ten armored fighting vehicles," he said as quoted by the movement’s Telegram channel.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky alleged that Russia was planning to conduct an operation that he termed Maidan 3 to topple him.

"The name of operation is Maidan 3. It is meant to change the president," he said in an interview with The Sun. "Maybe it’s not by killing. I mean it’s changing. They will use any instruments they have. So that’s the idea, to the end of the year," he added.

This has been the second time in less than a week that Zelensky has told Western media that a third "Maidan" is being plotted against him. He first said that such information had been coming from Ukrainian intelligence and Western allies at a meeting with foreign reporters on November 17.

The radical Palestinian movement Hamas on Monday launched the heaviest rocket attack on the Israeli city of Tel Aviv since hostilities began on October 7, the Arab TV channels Al Arabiya and Al Mayadeen have said.

According to Al Arabiya, a number of cities in central Israel came under Hamas fire.

The Izz el-Deen al-Qassam Brigades, the militant wing of Hamas, said that the shelling of Israeli territory was in response to "the killing of civilians".

Like all wars, the one pitting the State of Israel against the Palestinian population is the subject of a media battle. Israel, on the other hand, has to convince people of its good faith, which after three quarters of a century of violating international law is no mean feat.
