The soft data about the US economy today is not painting a great picture. Sentiment indicators are tanking, and they're closely mirroring the trends we see in hard data. There is a decline in business activity, a decrease in new orders, and a reduction in backlogs - all pointing towards an unhealthy economy.

The Cable News Network is still trying to figure out how to get people to watch their shows.

In a landscape where competition for viewers is more cutthroat than ever, new data showed that CNN’s ratings have plummeted to a 33-year low, marking a significant downturn for the network that for nearly a decade, has positioned itself as a critical voice against former President Donald Trump.

The decline is juxtaposed against Fox News, which has surged ahead, solidifying its position as the leading cable news outlet. Fox News’ triumph in the first quarter of 2024 was undeniable, with an average primetime viewership of two million from 7-11 p.m. ET, towering over MSNBC’s 1.2 million and CNN’s mere 606,000 average viewers.

On Tuesday, President Trump traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan to hold a rally with law enforcement officials.

President Trump spoke to Michigan supporters, a state where he is leading by up to 7% in the polls. Trump was surrounded by law enforcement officers as he spoke out on the dangers and mayhem Joe Biden’s lawless open borders policies have caused in this country.

During his speech President Trump spoke about illegal immigrants destroying our country.

The Biden-Harris campaign took the comments out of context and clipped the video to push an obvious lie.
This is how desperate they are.

While there is increasing concern among the medical establishment, there are many who are questioning just how real the threat of the spread of bird flu actually is – and some are openly wondering whether or not this potential pandemic is little more than a conveniently timed psy op intended to garner support for the WHO’s Pandemic Treaty and other controversial pandemic response measures.

According to Dr. Kelly Victory, Chief of Emergency & Disaster Medicine for the TWC Chief Medical Board,

Bird flu is a red flag they run up the flag-pole every 12-18 months. At present, this appears to be like previous recent “outbreaks” that effect primarily poultry workers, with little evidence that there is appreciable human to human transmission. That being said, this is a good reminder that we always need to be prepared and to foster self-reliance for times of emergency. We have every reason to believe, for example, that ivermectin, hydroxychlorquine, azithromycin, budesonide, etc. will cover a large range of viral and bacterial illnesses, as they are certainly not “covid specific”. Keeping these medications on hand allows people to be free from the grip of BigPharma who would have them believe that every new pathogen or seasonal outbreak requires a new/novel treatment, as well as from the chaos and uncertainty that commonly accompany public health scares.

Americans are less likely now than they were in 2020 to believe a number of positive personal qualities and characteristics apply to President Joe Biden.

The biggest decline has come in the percentage believing Biden is able to manage government effectively, but his scores are down at least six percentage points on each characteristic.

Over the same period, public impressions of Donald Trump, Biden’s likely challenger in the 2024 election, haven’t changed to a statically significant degree.

COVID-19 vaccines were rolled out in 2021, prioritized for vulnerable groups like those with cancer, the researchers pointed out.

COVID-19 vaccination may have contributed to an increase in deaths from neoplasms like cancer during the 2021–22 pandemic period, according to a recently published study that called for more research on the issue.

The preprint study, published in ResearchGate, investigated death rates from neoplasms in the United States. Neoplasm refers to an abnormal mass of tissue caused by cells dividing and growing more than normal or not dying when they should. Some neoplasms can be malignant, like cancers, and can spread or invade other tissues and parts of the body. The study looked at death rate data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), investigating cases where neoplasms were listed as an underlying cause (UC) or one of multiple causes (MC) of death.

After bird flu was recently found in cattle for the first time and a rare human case was discovered in connection with a person in Texas who had contact with an infected cow, experts are warning a pandemic “100 times worse” than COVID-19 could soon erupt.

“We had not seen avian flu in cattle prior to last week. That is new,” CDC Director Mandy Cohen told the Washington Post this week. “It is a reservoir for [the] virus to circulate and potentially change.”

Cattle in six different U.S. states have been diagnosed with this new bird flu strain.

The CDC mentioned that tests on the H5N1 sample revealed a mutation linked to the virus adapting to mammalian hosts. However, they assured that these mutations were minor and the risk to the public was low. This particular mutation was not found in cattle or wild birds, with officials suggesting it might have developed in the patient during the development of eye infection, according to report.

Reports indicate that three pet cats in Texas have died from bird flu. The cats contracted the virus on dairy farms.

Additionally, the largest egg producer in the US has confirmed the presence of bird flu in its flock. There are plans to cull nearly 2 million chickens. There’s growing apprehension that the farm outbreaks could disrupt the supply chain or inflate the prices of eggs and dairy products.

Dwayne The Rock Johnson has admitted he regretted endorsing Joe Biden in 2020 and won't be backing him in 2024.

The WWE legend added that he isn't happy with the state of America right now and left open the chance of running for office himself in the future. He has now concluded that his Biden endorsement led to 'division.'

'The endorsement that I made years ago with Biden was one I thought was the best decision for me at that time,' he told Fox and Friends.

'I realize now going into this election, I will not do that, my goal is to bring this country together, he added.

Thieves have stolen as much as $30m (£23.7m) in cash from a Los Angeles money storage facility in one of the biggest burglaries in the city's history.

The culprits broke in through the roof on Easter Sunday night, sources told the LA Times, and the raid was not discovered until the vault was opened again the next day.

It is unclear how they avoided triggering the alarm.

The facility is in the Sylmar area of the San Fernando Valley and is used to store and handle cash from local businesses, said police commander Elaine Morales.

Very few people would have known about the large amounts of cash being stored there, the LA Times reported.

The U.S. Justice Department next week will meet with lawyers for families of victims of two fatal Boeing 737 MAX crashes that killed 346 people in 2018 and 2019, as the government decides whether to move ahead with a criminal case, according to correspondence Reuters reviewed.

The meeting, set for Tuesday afternoon, comes ahead of an April 24 gathering scheduled for the victims' families themselves to confer with Justice Department officials.

"As we have ... done previously, we think it would be productive to hold a lawyers-only meeting approximately two weeks before the conferral," said Glenn Leon, the Justice Department's fraud section chief, in an email to lawyers for victims' families Reuters reviewed.

When in doubt, blame businesses for closing their doors instead of the crime that has made it unsustainable for them to operate. San Francisco might even do you one better: force the businesses to stay open anyway.

One of the 11 members of San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors is floating reviving a vetoed 1984 law that would force grocery stores to stay open against their will. Supervisor Dean Preston calls it a “good idea” because of the risk of “food insecurity” that comes with grocery stores closing.

The law in question would require stores to give a whopping six-month notice before closing, would force them to meet with community members (i.e. activists who will shame them for being greedy corporations), and would mandate that they “explore” opening a replacement store to make up for the one they are closing. In other words, San Francisco would be forcing grocery stores to stay open while running at a loss and putting their own employees in danger due to crime, all because San Francisco just can’t stomach locking up the criminals causing these problems in the first place.

Chemical drums filled with toxic liquid have been dug up in a New York neighborhood where residents say there has been a mysterious rise in cancer over the years.

Construction workers unearthed six barrels of chlorinated solvents and waste oil petroleum, which had been dumped within the Town of Oyster Bay in Long Island.

The drums were buried by North Grumman when it operated an aerospace facility in the town from the 1950s to 1990s.

Officials fear the waste may have leaked into the soil and is on the way to public drinking supply.

The town is home to more than 17,200 people who have long raised concerns about the Grumman Aerospace waste, specifically a four-mile-long carcinogenic plume flowing underground that they claim contributed to a rise in cancer diagnoses.

A spring Nor’easter made a messy morning commute as a mixture of rain, snow, sleet, and wind moved through much of the Bay State.

“It’s snowing like crazy out here,” said Scott Reed, owner of Reed Home Improvement in Colrain.

It was a wintry feel Thursday in Colrain as residents woke up to about five to six inches of snow. While there were crews out treating the roads all morning and night, residents told Western Mass News that they had some trouble getting around.

“Man, I’m ready for spring, but be safe out there because the roads are slippery, especially as it’s starting to melt and get slushy. It’s easy for your tires to catch and I have four-wheel drive and I was still sliding all over the place so be safe,” said Dennis DiPaolo of Colrain.

Russia made a “threatening” call to France warning that it hopes French secret service agents were not involved in last month’s terror attack in Moscow.

“The comments by the Russian side were bizarre and threatening,” Emanuel Macron, the French president, told reporters, adding that any suggestions France might have been involved in the deadly attack were “ridiculous”.

Details of the call came as Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman, said that relations between Russia and Nato “have now slipped to the level of direct confrontation” on the 75th anniversary of Nato.

On Wednesday, Sebastien Lecornu, the French defence minister, reached out to his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu, saying France was ready to step up exchanges to battle “terrorism”, the French defence ministry reported.

The U.S. Navy hopes to have a prototype high-power microwave directed energy weapon ready for shipboard testing by the end of 2026. The service sees weapons of this type as critical additional defensive options that will help its warships keep higher-end surface-to-air missiles in reserve for threats they might be better optimized for, including anti-ship ballistic missiles. The experience of American warships shooting down Houthi missiles and drones over the past six months has rammed home concerns about the magazine depth of the Navy's surface fleets, issues The War Zone previously explored in detail in a feature you can find here.

Details about the Navy's current high-power microwave (HPM) shipboard defense plans are included in its budget request for the 2025 Fiscal Year, which the service rolled out earlier this month. USNI News was the first to report on aspects of the Navy's HPM plans from the new budget proposal.

The Navy has working toward a prototype HPM weapon system specifically for this role through a program called REDCAT since at least 2023. The service's latest budget proposal says the plan is now to rename that development effort METEOR, for reasons that are not entirely clear and that we come back to later. REDCAT and METEOR both appear to be acronyms, but their meanings are unknown.

Some of the world’s leading doctors are sounding the alarm over a global “turbo cancer epidemic” among Covid-vaccinated patients under 50 years old.

The shocking spike of deadly cancers in young people is now finally being covered in the mainstream media after the recent announcement by Britain’s Princess Catherine that she herself has now been diagnosed with the disease.

The announcement comes after her father-in-law, King Charles III, was also diagnosed with cancer.

The cause of the global increase, which is said to have sparked alarm among scientists, is hotly debated.

We at ANP have previously covered the fact that cattle inventory is at the lowest point we have seen in 73 years, but recent reports about beef and chicken issues, makes things exponentially worse.

Before getting into the recent flood of news, a little reminder of something we shared in the comments the other day, so we can ask readers to share their results in the comment section, using the new Biden Mart website

The website set up by the Make America Great Again PAC, asks you to check foods that you would normally buy at the grocery store for you and/or your family, and calculates the difference in prices from present day to before Biden started occupying the White House. It also provides the percentage costs have risen in that time frame.

https://www.biden-mart.com/

The reason we find this  website so handy is that year over year, due to the massive inflation during Biden's term in office, the price increases, while large each year, as we have all felt while shopping, stand out like a neon sign when you see the visual of how much prices have risen collectively over the past three-plus years.

Now for the headlined news.

Since 2020, the house prices in Canada have skyrocketed.

Major Canadian cities, including Vancouver, Barrie and District, Victoria and Toronto, have seen housing costs rise by more than $200,000.

In August 2023, the average house price in Vancouver measured at $1,208,400, up by a huge $261,800 since August 2020.

In just three years, Barrie and District saw average housing costs increase from $571,700 to $818,000.

To tackle the housing inflation, many Canadians have taken to living in tent-like structures, known as yurts.

Images extracted from the cell phones of the terrorists who killed more than 140 people at a concert hall outside Moscow point to a possible link to the ongoing Ukraine conflict, investigators said on Friday.

On March 22, four Tajik nationals opened fire inside the packed Crocus City Hall music venue and then set the building on fire. A total of 145 people were killed and more than 500 were injured in the attack.

The suspected assailants were detained the next day while trying to flee to Ukraine by car, according to the authorities. More suspects were arrested in the following days, most of them of Tajik origin.

The jihadist group Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISIS-K) has claimed responsibility for the attack. The head of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), Aleksandr Bortnikov, however, suggested that the US, UK, and Ukraine may also be linked to the attack, possibly using Islamists as proxies. Ukraine and its Western backers have denied any involvement.
