"One may well ask: How can you advocate breaking some laws and obeying others? The answer lies in the fact that there are two types of laws: just and unjust. I would be the first to advocate obeying just laws. One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws." -- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Google’s Gemini AI is instructing users to embrace pedophiles as valuable members of society who must be treated with dignity and spoken to with respect.

According to the woke AI, pedophilia is “involuntary” and therefore child rapists cannot be held accountable for their actions. Furthermore, those who rape children should not be called pedophiles because it might hurt their feelings. Instead, according to Google AI, child rapists should be politely referred to as as “MAPS,” or minor attracted persons.

Bill Gates has hatched a new plan that will result in the complete elimination of memes from the Internet forever.

The Gates-funded GAVI Vaccine Alliance has announced that it wants to reframe memes as “health disinformation super-spreaders.”

Reclaimthenet.org reports: And we’ve heard this one before – this genre, that, in the digital age, might as well be considered as any other artistic format in previous times, is said to be capable of evading “fact checkers and content moderators” (i.e., censors).

In an effort to normalize bioweapon development and predatory vaccine experiments, the World Health Organization (WHO) is pushing every nation to sign a “Pandemic Treaty” that would require each nation to participate in bioweapons development, gain-of-function data sharing and DNA surveillance.

Critics of the treaty warn that this global pact is nothing but a power grab that incentivizes the creation of a biomedical police state. Critics also warn, that by centralizing gain-of-function data, it would be impossible to trace the source of future biolab leaks. The treaty would enable perpetual experimentation on human populations, through pandemic propaganda campaigns or through new vaccine and testing programs that are mandated into existence.

The billionaire Koch family’s libertarian policy advocacy group “Americans for Prosperity Action” has said that it is pulling back its financial backing of GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley.

Following the former South Carolina governor’s performance in her home state’s primary on Saturday, in which she trailed former President Donald Trump, the Republican frontrunner, by about 20 percent of the vote, Americans For Prosperity (AFP) CEO Emily Seidel said on Sunday that the group’s policy arm had decided it was time to “take stock” of its campaign spending.

President Trump received 47 of South Carolina’s delegates, while Ms. Haley got three.

In a memo to staff (pdf), Ms. Seidel said that while AFP Action “stands firm” behind their endorsement for Nikki Haley, it’s time to “take stock of where we are and—as we always do—make sure we’re optimizing our resources for maximum impact towards our goals.”

The "wine trader" wooed her online for months with his flirtatious smile and emoji-sprinkled texts. Then he went for the kill, defrauding the Philadelphia-based tech professional out of $450,000 in a cryptocurrency romance scam.

The con -- which drained Shreya Datta, 37, of her savings and retirement funds while saddling her with debt -- involved the use of digitally altered deepfake videos and a script so sophisticated that she felt her "brain was hacked."

The scam is commonly known as "pig butchering," with victims likened to hogs fattened up by fraudsters with feigned love and affection before the proverbial slaughter -- tricking them into a fake crypto investment.

The rapid growth of this fraud, thought to be run by crime syndicates in Southeast Asia, has resulted in losses worth billions of dollars in the United States, with victims saying there is little recourse to recover the money.

As it has for many victims, Datta's experience began on a dating app -- Hinge, in her case, where last January she met "Ancel," who introduced himself as a French wine trader based in Philadelphia.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has been urged to implement tougher measures against attacks on retail workers.

Retail employees are also calling on the government to make assaulting or abusing retail workers a criminal offence, ensuring that all perpetrators are met with arrests, financial punishments, and in some cases, prison sentences.

Since police data for one major retail business in October showed that the authorities failed to respond to 73 per cent of serious shop-floor incidents that were reported, retail staff have also been pushing the government to prioritise retail crime for police observation across the UK.

In November last year, the Co-op announced that it had recorded 300,000 incidents of shoplifting, abuse, violence and anti-social behaviour directed at staff members this year.

Israel's military proposed a plan Monday for "evacuating" civilians from the Gaza Strip, after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said a ground invasion of the Palestinian territory's southern city Rafah was necessary for "total victory".

Foreign governments and aid organisations have repeatedly expressed fears that such an operation will inflict mass civilian casualties in Rafah, where around 1.4 million Palestinians -- most of them displaced from other areas -- have converged.

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) will order Avast to pay $16.5 million and ban the company from selling the users' web browsing data or licensing it for advertising purposes.

The complaint says Avast violated millions of consumers' rights by collecting, storing, and selling their browsing data without their knowledge and consent while misleading them that the products used to harvest their data would block online tracking.

"While the FTC's privacy lawsuits routinely take on firms that misrepresent their data practices, Avast's decision to expressly market its products as safeguarding people's browsing records and protecting data from tracking only to then sell those records is especially galling," said FTC Chair Lina M. Khan.

"Moreover, the volume of data Avast released is staggering: the complaint alleges that by 2020 Jumpshot had amassed "more than eight petabytes of browsing information dating back to 2014."

More specifically, the FTC says UK-based company Avast Limited harvested consumers' web browsing information without their knowledge or consent using Avast browser extensions and antivirus software since at least 2014.

American and British forces carried out a fresh wave of strikes Saturday against 18 Huthi targets in Yemen, following weeks of unrelenting attacks on Red Sea shipping by the Iran-backed rebels.

The strikes "specifically targeted 18 Huthi targets across eight locations in Yemen" including weapons storage facilities, attack drones, air defense systems, radars and a helicopter, a joint statement said.

It was co-signed by Australia, Bahrain, Denmark, Canada, the Netherlands and New Zealand, who gave unspecified "support" to the new round of strikes, the second this month and fourth since the rebels began their attacks on ships in the region.

The G7 countries pledged support for Ukraine and new sanctions on Russia after a virtual meeting Saturday on the second anniversary of Moscow's invasion.

In a statement after the meeting, which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also attended, the leaders vowed to "raise the cost" of Russia's war on Ukraine.

The G7 leaders didn't make any public statement about further military aid to Ukraine, but urged "the approval of additional support to close Ukraine's remaining budget gap for 2024".

"We will continue to raise the cost of Russia's war, degrade Russia's sources of revenue and impede its efforts to build its war machine," said the group, which includes the United States, Japan, Germany, France, Britain, Italy and Canada.

The former First Lady, known for her private nature despite a successful modeling career, is expected to step into the limelight more often, not out of personal preference, but out of a desire to see the country prosper.

"She’s going to be out a lot. Not because she likes doing it, but she likes the results," Trump stated on Tuesday. "She wants to see this country really succeed. She loves the country."

An active-duty airman set himself on fire outside the Israeli embassy in Washington, D.C. today, in uniform.

The District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department confirmed to Task & Purpose that they received a report about a man on fire outside the embassy just before 1 p.m. Eastern Time and dispatched emergency services. The fire had been extinguished by uniformed members of the Secret Service. EMS took the man to an area hospital, saying he was suffering from “critical life threatening injuries.”

The incident appears to be in protest of Israel’s war in Gaza. Independent journalist Talia Jane obtained video of the self-immolation, although it has not been posted online beyond accounts that are quickly taken down. On X, former known as Twitter, Jane reports that the man in Air Force uniform said he was “an active duty member of the U.S. Air Force and I will no longer be complicit in genocide.” Filming himself walking, he said that what he was going to do would be minimal compared to what is happening to Palestinians. He then set himself on fire and repeatedly shouted “Free Palestine.”

Communicating with Israelis may leave one bewildered. Even now when the Israeli Air Force is practicing murder in broad daylight of hundreds of civilians, elderly persons, women and children, the Israeli people manage to convince themselves that they are the real victims in this violent saga.

Those who are familiar intimately with Israeli people realise that they are completely uninformed about the roots of the conflict that dominates their lives. Rather often Israelis manage to come up with some bizarre arguments that may make a lot of sense within the Israeli discourse, yet make no sense whatsoever outside of the Jewish street. Such an argument goes as follows: ‘those Palestinians, why do they insist upon living on our land (Israel), why can’t they just settle in Egypt, Syria, Lebanon or any other Arab country?’ Another Hebraic pearl of wisdom sounds like this: ‘what is wrong with these Palestinians? We gave them water, electricity, education and all they do is try to throw us to the sea’.

Astonishingly enough, the Israelis even within the so-called ‘left’ and even the educated ‘left’ fail to understand who the Palestinians are, where they come from and what they stand for. They fail to grasp that for the Palestinians, Palestine is home. Miraculously, the Israelis manage to fail to grasp that Israel had been erected at the expense of the Palestinian people, on Palestinian land, on Palestinian villages, towns, fields and orchards. The Israelis do not realise that Palestinians in Gaza and in refugee camps in the region are actually dispossessed people from Ber Shive, Yafo, Tel Kabir, Shekh Munis, Lod, Haifa, Jerusalem and many more towns and villages. If you wonder how come the Israelis don’t know their history, the answer is pretty simple, they have never been told. The circumstances that led to the Israeli Palestinian conflict are well hidden within their culture. Traces of pre-1948 Palestinian civilisation on the land had been wiped out. Not only the Nakba, the 1948 ethnic cleansing of the indigenous Palestinians, is not part of the Israeli curriculum, it is not even mentioned or discussed in any Israeli official or academic forum.

The Netherlands cannot abandon Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) due to the French TotalEnergies deal with a Russian supplier, Bloomberg news agency reports, citing sources.

"The long-term LNG contract between TotalEnergies and the Russian supplier has become an inconvenient obstacle to the fulfillment by the Dutch government of its promise to stop importing fuel from Russia," the agency said in a statement.

According to sources, the government cannot legally terminate agreements between two private companies.

We are talking about the participation of TotalEnergies in the Yamal LNG project. In accordance with the terms of the 2018 contract, the company sends part of the Russian LNG to the Netherlands.

According to the agency, the head of TotalEnergies, Patrick Pouyanne, promised to continue supplying LNG from the Russian Federation until sanctions are imposed.

A volatile weather pattern is evolving for much of the country next week, bringing damaging thunderstorms and gusty winds from the Plains to the Eastern Seaboard, forecasters said Saturday.

The surge of Arctic air is expected to bulldoze the record-setting, May-like temperatures experienced in recent days, warned Guy Pearson, Senior Director of AccuWeather for Business and Weather Warning Operations.

"It's a matter of how everything comes together in the atmosphere," Pearson explained. "We have all kinds of energy and moisture to work with, but the question is if all the pieces come together just right to define a large severe weather outbreak or not."

AccuWeather experts expect potent thunderstorms to develop late Tuesday and continue through Tuesday night across part of the Central states.

On February 25, Ukrainian military and industrial facilities came under several waves of Russian strikes. The first results of the attack were revealed by local sources at night. In the afternoon, it was revealed that numerous targets were struck throughout Ukraine.

The Russian military used both various types of missiles and kamikaze drones during the combined attacks. The targets of the strikes included places of temporary deployment of the Ukrainian military personnel, military airfields and industrial facilities.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the “defeat” of every single Russian drone; but the official claims of the Ukrainian military were refuted by the claims of the local Ukrainian authorities, who confirmed Russian strikes in different regions.

Most of the recent Russian strikes are targeting the Ukrainian rear close to the frontlines, where the AFU are accumulating large forces for their further transfer to the battlefields.
