I am a bit burned out and I need time to recuperate. Also, I have some other things I need to work on, including developing some other revenue…
"The Constitution does not authorize the government to lie to the people. When they are caught lying, as they have been, they become illegitimate. It is that illegitimate government which is a threat to Democracy!" -- Michael Rivero
Today, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) announced his conservative alternative to the Biden-McCarthy debt deal. This alternative will be offered as an amendment to the so-called “Fiscal Responsibility Act” deal and would replace existing language with responsible reforms and necessary cuts.
“Sixty percent of Americans say Congress should only raise the nation’s debt ceiling if it cuts spending at the same time. I would guess the Americans answering that poll meant real cuts in spending, not an annual increase of one percent above already bloated levels of COVID-19 spending,” said Dr. Paul. “Bold actions must be taken to defeat our mounting national debt, and my conservative alternative to the Biden-McCarthy deal gives us a real opportunity to get our fiscal house in order.”
Dr. Paul’s amendment would replace the existing language of the Biden-McCarthy “Fiscal Responsibility Act” (FRA) with the following measures:
Retail giant Kohl’s is facing significant backlash after conservatives highlighted the company’s Pride gear intended for children. The collection includes a onesie decorated with cartoon figures carrying a rainbow-colored flag and is aimed at celebrating Pride Month.
Their stock crashed roughly five percent on Tuesday following the controversy.
The backlash primarily originated from many of those who took issue with the marketing of such products to babies and children. This resulted in a rising number of #BoycottKohls hashtags online and severe criticism aimed at Kohl’s, with some customers calling for a boycott of the retailer.
Some critics have compared this situation to recent controversies involving Bud Light and Target, which faced similar backlashes for their affiliations with LGBTQ+ causes.
Former President Donald Trump leads the crowded Republican primary field by 34 points over his closest potential competitor, according to a Morning Consult poll that surveyed Republican voters after Gov. Ron DeSantis’ (R) presidential bid on May 24.
The poll, which sampled respondents from May 26-28, found little movement for DeSantis after he launched a presidential bid last week. It also showed Trump maintaining a large lead over GOP hopefuls.
Fifty-six percent of respondents backed Trump, while only 22 percent supported DeSantis. All other presidential hopefuls were in single digits at five percent or less: Former Vice President Mike Pence (five percent), Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (four percent), and Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) (three percent).
Webmaster addition: I like DeSantis, and I hope he is angling for the VP slot. Otherwise he could split the GOP vote enough to give Biden (and then Harris) the White House
Republicans have been demanding answers on the lack of transparency on visitor logs from President Joe Biden’s Delaware home — and the response they just got won’t make things better moving forward.
The U.S. Secret Service is reportedly refusing to hand over emails identifying visitors to Biden’s homes in Delaware as a Freedom of Information Act request was filed.
“Please be advised that emails reflecting visitors to President Biden’s residences in Wilmington, Delaware, and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware are not agency records subject to the FOIA. See Doyle v. U.S. Dep’t of Homeland Sec., 959 F.3d 72 (2d Cir. 2020) (finding that emails regarding expected visitors to the sitting President’s residence were not agency records subject to the FOIA.),” the officer said in a letter.
The NY Post noted that it had filed its own FOIA request and that the Secret Service claimed last year that “no records were located” of Biden’s Delaware visitors.
Garlic might not just be good for keeping vampires away, but also COVID-19 and the common flu, according to new research being released on Wednesday by The Peter Doherty Institute.
Scientists at Doherty have been researching garlic properties over the past 18 months and have discovered a certain Australian grown garlic variety demonstrates antiviral properties with up to 99.9 per cent efficacy against the viruses which cause COVID-19 and the common flu.
Frustrated the FBI won't produce a key piece of subpoenaed evidence in the Biden family corruption probe, the Republican-led House is making preparations to hold Director Christopher Wray in contempt.
And one lawmaker has a preferred penalty: throwing the FBI boss in the U.S. Capitol's secretive detention jail known as the "the brig."
"We can't press charges. But we certainly can refer charges," Rep. Scott Perry, R-Pa., the chairman of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, told Just the News on Tuesday. "And if he shows up on Capitol Hill, if he shows up in the House chamber, he can certainly end up in the brig here.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has made a claim that implicated former President Barack Obama in regard to allegations involving the family of his then-Vice President Joe Biden.
In an interview, Comer hinted that Obama was aware of the Biden family’s questionable international business deals that have been the focus of a years-long federal probe.
“I believe that it’s because he knew what Joe Biden was doing the last year of his vice presidency,” Comer said. “He knew his son (Hunter Biden) was no good, and he knew this was nothing but a political liability not just for our country, not just for the democrat party, but for Obama’s legacy.”
Comer also raised the possibility that Obama’s awareness of the family’s business dealings might have influenced his hesitation to fully endorse Biden’s presidential campaign in 2020.
Federal judges in tandem with the Justice Department and the US Federal Bureau of Prisons are punishing J6 defendants for refusing to renounce their beliefs, speaking out about the cruel and unusual treatment they are subjected to and raising money to pay for their attorney fees and commissary while detained.
Judges are adding years to a J6 defendant’s sentence for conducting interviews with the media. Correction officers and jail staff are also retaliating against inmates for their horrific stories of prisoner abuse to the American public.
Republican leaders of two key House committees have launched a probe into the Biden administration’s handling of fossil fuel leasing practices after a leaked “energy security” memo.
House Oversight Chairman James Comer and Natural Resources Chairman Bruce Westerman informed senior Department of the Interior official Laura Daniel-Davis of a probe in a letter. The correspondence criticized the DOI’s oil and gas leasing delays and Daniel-Davis’ recent memo prioritizing climate considerations over energy security. Seventeen House Republicans joined in signing the letter.
“The Biden Administration has obstructed America’s energy producers in an effort to force a radical Green New Deal agenda on the American people,” Comer told Fox News in a statement. “The Democrats’ ongoing war against America’s oil and gas industry has only driven energy prices higher and families across the country are paying the price.”
North Korea’s attempt to launch its first spy satellite ended in failure, with the satellite and launch vehicle crashing into the Yellow Sea on the Korean Peninsula’s western coast.
The launch from the North triggered alarms in South Korea and Japan, with alerts being sent out to the public urging them to seek immediate shelter. However, both countries cancelled the alarms when it was revealed that it was a satellite launch that posed no immediate threat.
The launch, which was the North’s sixth satellite launch attempt and the first since 2016, was meant to place North Korea’s first spy satellite in orbit.
The moniker of my website originated from a quote by David Walker, then Comptroller General of the U.S., in 2007. I wholeheartedly endorsed Walker’s viewpoint and become politically active in trying to get Ron Paul elected as president in 2008 and 2012. It was a fruitless effort, as the uni-party in Washington DC, controlled by the dark forces of the Deep State, do not allow men and women who truly want to reduce the size and scope of government to ever get elected. His warning sixteen years ago is a perfect example of being right but being early. When talking about the decline of empires, you are really deliberating about a process, not an event. The Roman Empire did not fall on a specific day due to a specific cause. It collapsed in stages over hundreds of years due to numerous reasons, each triggering events which compounded upon each other and ultimately led to the final collapse.
Walker said, “The US government is on a “burning platform” of unsustainable policies and practices with fiscal deficits, chronic healthcare underfunding, immigration and overseas military commitments threatening a crisis if action is not taken soon.” He believed we were resting on the laurels of being the sole superpower, as our empire built on debt was slowly and methodically crumbling. He cited three reasons for the fall of the Roman Republic that resonated in 2007 regarding the American Empire (formerly a republic):
Capitalism, which has always represented only the topmost tier of the financially affluent and their banks—those premier criminal organs of chicanery and fraud—convinced politicians and courts—like a father lecturing his children—that government, while in theory it exists to benefit The People, in fact owes allegiance only to the money elite that set it up and owns it. Thus, governments under Capitalism have the double burden of being required to borrow the funds that enable them to defend entrenched wealth.
This is the most spectacular fraud in the history of crime, for it makes government directly subordinate to Capitalism. This devastating megascam was instituted long before anyone but extremely wealthy elites had any idea of what government was, or what it did so that The People believed this was the only way it had ever been or ever could be. That is, of course, utter bullshit.
The evil of this system can be better understood by comparing government to a private entity. Say you want to start a business and you need money. You take a loan from a bank. You owe a debt then and interest on the loan to be paid from your profits.
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has finally admitted that Covid-19 vaccination can have an adverse effect on female fertility.
The admission comes months after it was revealed in confidential Pfizer documents revealed that shedding of the Covid-19 vaccine is possible by skin-to-skin contact and/or breathing the same air as a vaccinated person, and can, unfortunately, lead to menstrual cycle disruption among women and miscarriage among pregnant women.
On the 28th October 2022, the EMA published new guidance that states “heavy menstrual bleeding should be added to the product information as a side effect of unknown frequency of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines Comirnaty (Pfizer) and Spikevax (Moderna)”.
The EMA says that heavy menstrual bleeding can be defined as “bleeding characterised by an increased volume and/or duration which interferes with the person’s physical, social, emotional and material quality of life.”
Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) warned today that should a deal on the debt ceiling be reached without majority support from Republicans, it could have major repercussions for the party’s leadership.
Gaetz suggested that such a move would not only violate a previous agreement but could also trigger a motion to vacate the Speaker’s position.
In an interview with Newsmax, Gaetz elaborated on the potential implications of a bill being passed with the aid of Democrats. “If a majority of Republicans are against a piece of legislation and you use Democrats to pass it, that would immediately be a black-letter violation of the deal we had with McCarthy to allow his ascent to the Speakership,” he said. He further warned that such a violation “would likely trigger an immediate motion to vacate.”
In 2022, the highest percentage of Americans in 50 years of Gallup tracking reported no confidence at all in the news media.
This aligns with growing public distrust in a wide variety of U.S. institutions.
Gallup’s research with Knight Foundation over the past five years has revealed the drivers and barriers of trusting the news and has quantified the depth of Americans’ negative feelings about the news today. When the trends hit a low point, is all hope lost?
A new Gallup/Knight Foundation study finds that many Americans regularly turn to individuals with public platforms for news and information. These individuals include celebrities, journalists, academic experts, TV show hosts, online influencers and business leaders. The top two reasons given for following these individuals are: personality and trust.
Here are seven charts summarizing the extent to which Americans turn to “public individuals” for news and information, and why they follow them.
Former JPMorgan Chase executive Jes Staley has thrown CEO Jamie Dimon under the bus over the bank's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein - claiming in legal documents that he and Dimon communicated about the convicted sex offender.
Dimon maintains he had no such conversations, the Wall Street Journal reports, while Staley claims he knew about Epstein's sex trafficking operation and that he regrets his friendship with Epstein.
According to the filing, Staley says that he and Dimon communicated when Epstein was arrested in 2006 and 2008 when Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting and procuring a minor for prostitution, and served 13 months in a work-release program. Staley also claims that Dimon communicated with him several times through 2012 about whether to maintain Epstein as a client.
