Appearing on Fox News’ “Hannity,” Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) called out the Biden administration for not condemning the ongoing illegal protests outside of the homes of conservative Supreme Court justices brought on by an impending abortion ruling that will likely overturn Roe v. Wade.
Following the leaking of an early draft opinion in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization which indicated that the Supreme Court was poised to rule in a way that would overturn Roe, a radical pro-abortion group doxed the addresses of conservative justices and protests began outside of their homes.
As the country awaits the Supreme Court’s ruling, the protests have continued, and some radical activists have escalated their tactics. There have been several terrorist attacks carried out on pro-life pregnancy centers, and an attempted assassination of Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Many conservatives have asserted that the lack of action being taken against the illegal protests outside of the justices’ homes has led to the escalation of tactics.
While the First Amendment does guarantee the right to protest, there are exceptions, especially in the case of intending to influence the decision of a judge. The radical pro-abortion protesters currently demonstrating outside of the homes of Supreme Court justices are violating 18 U.S.C. Section 1507, which criminalizes attempts to influence the court.
