Thought for the day

"Evil cannot create anything new, they can only corrupt and ruin what good forces have invented or made." -- J.R.R. Tolkien

Arizona Republican Governor Doug Ducey issued an executive order to seal up gaps in the border wall near Yuma. Some of the materials to be used include shipping containers topped with razor wire.

The order, issued late last week, calls for containers standing 22 feet high to be welded together and an additional four feet of razor wiring added to the top.

Ducey’s reasoning for the order cites the Biden administration’s “lack of urgency on border security,” which he labels as a “dereliction of duty.”

Within the course of a few short hours, nearly 700 migrants waded across the Rio Grande hoping to surrender to authorities and gain release into the United States. Breitbart Texas posted at several major migrant crossings and observed several large and small migrant groups surrendering to Texas Army National Guard soldiers, Highway Patrol troopers, and Border Patrol agents in and around the small Texas border town of Eagle Pass on Sunday.

An Italian member of parliament from populist Matteo Salvini’s League party was hospitalised this week after a migrant threw missiles at moving vehicles along a major Italian motorway.

League MP Claudia Gobbato was injured and taken to hospital after the migrant, a 22-year-old Egyptian national, allegedly threw an object at her vehicle, smashing the windscreen and causing glass to hit her in the eye as she was travelling with her family for their summer holidays.

Just about every group in this country has convinced itself it has great excuses to hate the white man. There’s slavery, white supremacy, homophobia, the holocaust, white privilege, sexism, and racism, and just showing up in the New World. Hating us is so much fun that even groups we can’t possibly have ever wronged have learned how to do it.

A deputy for Emmanuel Macron has put forward a radical constitutional bill aiming to grant voting rights to all foreigners in French municipal elections, with the move earning harsh criticism from conservatives who warn the entire country’s future faces dire consequences if such a bill passes.

Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser on Aug. 11 renewed her call for U.S. military assistance to deal with the surge of illegal immigrants the nation’s capital has encountered after governors of border states began busing the immigrants to the city.

The State of Arizona has broken from the Biden administration and is taking action to mitigate the flow of illegal immigrants into the state.

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R) announced on Friday that his state had begun emergency construction on the 1,000-foot-long gap in the border wall in the Yuma sector. Ducey signed an executive order on Friday afternoon, authorizing the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs to begin construction.
