Former ambassador Richard Grenell lamented President Joe Biden’s fall from his bicycle on Saturday, remarking that it is “just another piece of the puzzle” that shows he’s “not well and that he isn’t running the country.”
The 79-year-old president fell off of his bike while riding with his wife, first lady Jill Biden, and their Secret Service detail near his Rehoboth Beach home in Delaware. The group had just finished their morning ride when the president stopped to talk to a group of people.
After coming to a stop and putting his foot on the ground, Biden appeared to get his foot caught on the toe cages of his bike’s pedal, according to news reports. He then tipped over and fell to the ground, but was reportedly uninjured during the incident.
Speaking during an appearance on Newsmax’s “The Count” on Saturday, Grenell pointed out that, even if the mainstream media refuses to cover the implications of Biden’s fall, it still shows the world that the president is in decline.
“You look at the Twitter feeds today of all the Washington, D.C., types, and there’s very few talking about Joe Biden falling off a stationary bike,” he remarked. “They just are trying to cover for the ruling party wherever they can. It’s a joke.”
