Germany saw its first-time asylum requests rise by 78% in the first seven months of 2023, according to official data. In August, registered illegal border crossings to Germany reached 14,701, up 66% on the same month last year, police data shows.

The new controls will see an increase in policing along 'smuggling routes', and would begin immediately, Berlin official said today.

Announcing the new measures on Wednesday, German interior minister said more should be done to protect the European Union's fragile system of open borders.

'If we do not succeed in better protecting the external borders ..., then open borders within the EU are in danger,' Nancy Faeser told reporters in Berlin.

Hyundai and Kia are recalling nearly 3.4 million vehicles in the U.S. and telling owners to park them outside due to the risk of engine compartment fires.

The recalls cover multiple car and SUV models from the 2010 through 2019 model years including Hyundai's Santa Fe SUV and Kia's Sorrento SUV.

Documents posted Wednesday by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration say the anti-lock brake control module can leak fluid and cause an electrical short, which can touch off a fire while the vehicles are parked or being driven.

The automakers are advising owners to park outdoors and away from structures until repairs are done.

Dealers will replace the anti-lock brake fuse at no cost to owners. Kia says in documents that it will send notification letters to owners starting Nov. 14. For Hyundai the date is Nov. 21.

The space agency is set to decommission the orbiting laboratory in 2031 due to stresses on the structure that have accumulated over time.

NASA will pay any company that creates a 'space-tug' design, a craft powerful enough to pull the ISS from its orbit and send it toward our planet.

The agency is calling the space tug a US Deorbit Vehicle (USDV), which will nudge the ISS from 175 miles above Earth's surface to about 75 miles, where it will begin its final descent into the Pacific Ocean.

Intended to mirror the famed OpenAI tech, the Central Intelligence Agency's latest initiative will use artificial intelligence to help analysts better access open-source intelligence, agency officials said.

The CIA's Open Source Enterprise division developed the tech, which is also intended to be rolled out across the US government's 18 intelligence agencies in an effort to rival China's growing intelligence capabilities.

'We’ve gone from newspapers and radio, to newspapers and television, to newspapers and cable television, to basic internet, to big data, and it just keeps going,' said Randy Nixon, director of the CIA's AI division.

Nixon noted that analyzing the level of data across the web is a significant challenge that the AI program would help handle, adding: 'We have to find the needles in the needle field.'

Woke astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson lost his mind and started shouting after a pair of British satirists tore apart his support for men participating in women’s sports.

As Fox News reported, Tyson discussed transgenderism on “TRIGGERnometry”, a free speech YouTube show run by British satirists Konstantin Kisin and Francis Foster.

The video starts with Kisin telling Tyson “”One of your functions over time has been to communicate scientific knowledge to the public.”

An animated Tyson then posed a scenario where gender would play no role in sports but rather it would be decided based on hormone levels. Kisin responded by giving the scientist a simple education lesson.

Well, hold on a second. The difference is the difference is physiologically between men and women is not just hormonal. Women have a different hip angle. They have different heart capacities. They have different lung capacity. I mean, there are profound physiological differences, different bone density.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency spent $24.4 million on ineligible expenses related to its Covid-19 Funeral Assistance program, according to a recent Inspector General report.

The report found that FEMA’s Covid-19 Funeral Assistance program, meant to help those who lost family members to Covid-19 pay for funeral expenses, was rife with fraud and mismanagement. The program lacked guardrails to help ensure the funds were used on necessary funeral expenses, with the program instead paying for anything listed on a funeral home’s invoice.

The program paid for $24.4 million worth of ineligible expenses from April 12 to Sept. 21, 2021. These expenses included things like obituaries, flowers, catering services, and gratuities, that the funeral home billed, but were not considered a “necessary expense” or “serious need” based on statute.

The first complaints landed at the offices of Philips Respironics in 2010, soon after the company made a fateful decision to redesign its best selling breathing machines used in homes and hospitals around the world.

To silence the irritating rattle that kept users awake at night, Philips packed the devices with an industrial foam — the same kind used in sofas and mattresses. It quickly became clear that something had gone terribly wrong.

The reports coming into Philips described “black particles” or “dirt and dust” inside machines that pump air to those who struggle to breathe. One noted an “oily-like” substance. Others simply warned of “contamination.”

The complaints targeted some of the company’s most celebrated devices built in two factories near Pittsburgh, including ventilators for the sick and dying and the popular DreamStation for patients who suffer from sleep apnea, a chronic disorder that causes breathing to stop and start through the night.

Yet Philips withheld the vast majority of the warnings from the Food and Drug Administration, even as their numbers grew from dozens to hundreds to thousands and became more alarming each year.

“Black shavings in the chamber,” said one 2011 report that was kept from the government. “Contaminated with unknown sticky substance,” noted another three years later. By 2015, the year Philips launched the DreamStation, the company had amassed at least 25 complaints that pointed to a specific cause — the foam was falling apart.

Tennessee lawmakers are looking at rejecting federal dollars for public education and replacing them with state dollars in a move that would make Tennessee the first in the nation to turn down federal education funding.

Republican leadership in the state announced the formation of a panel to look at the impact of federal education funding in Tennessee and the “strings” that can come attached with that funding.

“Any time the federal government sends money, there are always strings attached to those dollars, and there is always a possibility that it opens the state up to other regulations or restrictions,” said Republican House Speaker Cameron Sexton. “This working group will help provide a clearer picture of how much autonomy Tennessee truly has in educating our students.”

Joe Biden faces many hurdles in his quest for a second term. Many Americans blame him for the struggling economy and border crisis. His approval has long been very low. And he might come face-to-face with Donald Trump in 2024–a rematch that might be his undoing.

But there is another storm brewing within the Democratic Party. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been gaining support since he announced his primary run. Democratic officials have seemingly ignored his candidacy, refusing to let him debate Biden.

During a town hall, someone asked Kennedy the obvious question. And if he decides to do this, Biden’s re-election chances will be very slim, indeed.

From Newsweek:
Speculation that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. may leave the Democratic Party could turn President Joe Biden’s 2024 nightmare reelection scenario into a reality…

“They’re trying to make sure that I can’t participate at all in the political process, and so I’m going to keep all my options open,” Kennedy said of the Democratic National Committee…

Democrats worry that a third-party candidate in a general election will pull votes away from Biden, who is facing low approval ratings, and help elect the eventual Republican nominee in 2024.

As deeper scandals are exposed in Washington, D.C., more Democrats must defend their knowledge of or involvement in what took place. Unexpected connections among Democrats are being revealed as the details emerge of who did what and when.

Democrats usually band together when a scandal breaks, but when national offices are in play the ties that bind the liberals aren’t always as strong as expected. High-profile investigations into Joe Biden and his family came to roost in California after dozens of emails were exposed.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) has been connected to Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, through the younger Biden’s infamous laptop. Emails show the president’s son donated thousands of dollars to Newsom’s gubernatorial campaign and lent his name to multiple fundraisers on his behalf.

From Fox News:
Newsom… brushed off allegations of Hunter Biden’s corrupt business dealings last week, saying it is “hardly unique” for people to use their family members to get ahead.

He side-stepped direct comments by saying he didn’t “know enough about the details of that.” He commented that there are people in many industries, not just politics, where family members and relationships lead to people trying to “parlay and get a little influence and benefit in that respect.”

A lawsuit Kari Lake filed over Maricopa County’s refusal to let her use public records law to inspect ballot affidavits, which are signatures from voters on the mail-in envelopes for their ballots, ended after a two-day trial on Monday. Maricopa County Superior Court Judge John Hannah, who was appointed to the bench by Democratic Governor Janet Napolitano, refused to allow any of Lake’s several proposed witnesses to testify or allow any of her exhibits into evidence.

The trial began with Lake’s attorney, Bryan Blehm, asking to allow State Senator Anthony Kern (R-Glendale) to testify since one of the county’s witnesses had made statements about him during the first day of trial that he said were false. On Thursday, progressive lobbyist Marilyn Rodriguez made accusations that MAGA targeted Latinos because they were racist and stated that Kern had treated witnesses testifying improperly. Even though Kern was present, Hannah refused to allow him to refute her statements.

Blehm again tried to convince Hannah to allow WPAA co-founder Shelby Busch to testify. Busch conducted extensive investigations into the 2020 and 2022 election problems, especially in regard to signature verification, and has worked with Lake’s litigation team on her election challenges. Hannah refused.

In his arguments, Blehm pointed out that the public can examine signatures on candidates’ nominating petitions to determine their validity. Hannah dismissed the comparison, stating it was “zero in the analysis.” One of the county’s attorneys said a statute specifically allows the public to examine those signatures, so it’s allowed in that situation.

A woman who only identified herself as Bonnie Eckard next took the witness stand and testified about how a man and a woman came to her door to canvass the election in August 2021, with concerns about dead people voting. She complained that she didn’t like the visit since she lives in a democracy and said the woman had an “unproved conspiracy point of view.” Eckard added, “Other broad-based conspiracy theories were voiced to me … they seemed outrageous and scary.” She said the experience was “awful, frightening, made me think I was being accused … watched … finger pointing,” and complained about the woman’s “loud voice.”

Eckard criticized the Arizona Senate’s independent ballot audit. “The audit was sloppy, that was all over the press,” she said. Eckard said she complained to the Arizona Attorney General and the person the pair worked for. When the county’s attorney, Joseph LaRue, asked her if she would hesitate to vote by mail if she knew her signature would be made public, she said yes. She did not express any concern regarding when she dropped the ballot return envelope in the mail, which had her signature on the outside. Eckard said she had no problem signing a candidate petition or deed, knowing those signatures become public.

Photos deleted from the now-defunct Burisma Holdings website show former U.S. Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch met with Vadim Pozharskyi—the Burisma official who worked closely with Hunter Biden—at two separate events after she had been told the Ukrainian energy company was considered corrupt by the State Department.

The photos are likely to raise fresh questions  about parts of Yovanovitch's testimony to Congress during former President Donald Trump’s first impeachment. It also raises the question of why the U.S. embassy in Ukraine engaged with company representatives in a public relations campaign with the U.S. government at the same time that internal embassy communications focused on the company’s corruption.

Photos obtained from the now-deleted Burisma website and the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) show that Yovanovitch attended two meetings hosted by the USUBC in Kyiv with Vadim Pozharskyi, the Burisma executive who met with then-Vice President Joe Biden and appears frequently in Hunter Biden's emails.

Organized crime rings in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Houston are targeting retail inventories, causing more financial loss, according to a report by the National Retail Federation, a trade group representing US retailers.

Big-box retailers such as Target and Kroger as well as dollar stores have sounded caution over increasing inventory theft and organized retail crime that could worsen this year’s headwinds from weakening consumer demand.

In 2022, inventory “shrink” as a percentage of total retail sales accounted for $112.1 billion in losses, up from $93.9 billion in 2021, according to the NRF report on Tuesday.

“Retailers are seeing unprecedented levels of theft coupled with rampant crime in their stores, and the situation is only becoming more dire,” said NRF Vice President for Asset Protection and Retail Operations David Johnston.

Retailers are either being forced to close a specific store location, reduce operating hours or alter in-store product selection to deal with the spike in retail crime, the report added.

Biden Climate Czar John Kerry’s daughter Vanessa Kerry has clearly learned a great deal about manipulating the public from dear old dad.

Vanessa, the World Health Organization’s special envoy for climate change, spoke on a World Economic Forum panel to discuss how to successfully prey on the public’s fear and emotions following the pandemic to push the “climate crisis” narrative.

World Economic Forum agenda contributor Jemilah Mahmood also spoke on the panel.

Mahmood: The pandemic was an opportunity, I think all over the world, people realize how important health was…..how now do we take  that emotion…of the health factors so critical but guess what guys, the climate crisis is creating more health issues than you can ever imagine, but no one has been able to make that link in the past.

I think we are living in an age now, a time now, were we need to grasp this opportunity and work together and really build on that, right?

Kerry: And I want to ask you a question about that for a moment though…because you’re right…I feel the same way about Covid taught us all these lessons learned and we should be incorporating that….and the climate crisis is going to be so much worse.

The Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca Covid vaccines cause unexpected vaginal bleeding in older women and women on birth control, a study has confirmed.

While changes in bleeding and periods in menstruating women post-shot have been known for years, few studies have looked at the impact on women who don't normally menstruate, such as the elderly and those on birth control.

But a new study - that looked at data from more than 20,000 women in this category - found the risk of vaginal bleeding increased two to three times in the four weeks after Covid vaccination compared to before the shot.

In women entering menopause and premenopausal women, the risk was three to five times higher.

The rise of virtual artificial intelligence (AI) girlfriends is enabling the silent epidemic of loneliness in an entire generation of young men. It is also having severe consequences for America’s future.

How is something that seems so ridiculous — a virtual AI girlfriend — causing a future crisis among Americans? Well, with millions of users, apps have created virtual girlfriends that talk to you, love you, allow you to live out your erotic fantasies, and learn, through data, exactly what you like and what you don’t like, creating the “perfect” relationship.

These virtual girlfriends can even be based on real people. One influencer created an AI bot of herself named Caryn, then gained over 1,000 users (i.e. real boyfriends) in less than a week and a waitlist of more than 15,000 people.

An AI girlfriend might sound enticing. You get to connect with a super hot girl who listens to you and appreciates you, 24/7. Beyond choosing physical attributes, down to the size of her rear end, you can pick her personality. You prefer “hot, funny, and bold”? That’s what she will be. Or if “cute, shy, and modest” is more your cup of tea, she’s got you covered.

Yes, these are real attributes you can have your AI girlfriend embody. And to be clear, these aren’t cookie-cutter chatbot interactions. By definition, the AI learns from your reactions and is capable of giving you exactly what you want to hear or see, every single time. And they have come at just the right time to assuage the silent epidemic of loneliness that is hitting this generation of young men.

Let’s look at the hard numbers. More than 60 percent of young men (ages 18-30) are single, compared to only 30 percent of women the same age. One in five men report not having a single close friend, a number that has quadrupled in the last 30 years. The amount of social engagement with friends dropped by 20 hours per month over the pandemic and is still decreasing.

These young men are lonely, and it is having real consequences. They are choosing AI girlfriends over real women, meaning they don’t have relationships with real women, don’t marry them and then don’t have and raise babies with them. America desperately needs people to have more babies, but all the signs are pointing toward fewer relationships, fewer marriages and fewer babies. There have been 600,000 fewer births in 2023 in the U.S. relative to 15 years ago. The number of children per woman has decreased by more than 50 percent in the last 60 years.

The UK’s top immigration official declared the nation’s “multiculturalism” project has “failed” as hordes of illegal migrants invade Europe.

Addressing the European migrant crisis at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, DC, Tuesday, UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman said unchecked immigration, migrants’ failure to integrate, and the UK’s adherence to the “dogma of muliticulturalism” were erasing the UK’s national identity.

“Uncontrolled immigration, inadequate integration, and a misguided dogma of multiculturalism have proven a toxic combination for Europe over the last few decades,” Braverman said, adding former German Chancellor Angela Merkel and others have previously espoused similar sentiments.

A judge has found 45th President Donald J. Trump liable of fraud in New York City. Trump’s family was quick to come to his defense and call out the “corruption.”

On Tuesday, Judge Arthur Engoron refused to dismiss New York Attorney General Letitia James’s lawsuit against the former president.

She claims that Trump and his family business inflated their wealth on financial records in an effort to benefit from “better loan terms” and lower insurance premiums.

According to Judge Engoron, the GOP hopeful’s primary estate, Mar-a-Lago, is worth “around $18 million.”

Eric Trump, the former president’s son, responded to the news on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter, when it was revealed that Judge Engoron had placed a low valuation on Mar-a-Lago.

Eric Trump quickly refuted the judge’s assertion and provided images of other homes that are for sale in the same neighborhood as the famed Mar-a-Lago property.

All of the other properties that he included were much smaller and not close to the water, unlike his father’s home.

Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., also pointed out an empty lot in the affluent neighborhood that is down the street from Mar-a-Lago and how it is currently on sale for $150 million.
