Democratic members of Congress have introduced a bill that would impose restrictions on bulk ammunition sales, licensing requirements on ammunition vendors, and background checks for ammunition buyers.
Democratic U.S. Senators Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, and Democratic U.S. Representatives Robert Garcia of California and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz of Florida introduced the bill on Nov. 2, according to news releases from Warren and Garcia’s offices.
Under the Ammunition Modernization and Monitoring Oversight Act, businesses selling ammunition must possess the same federal licenses gun dealers are required to obtain, according to the bill’s sponsors.
Furthermore, ammunition vendors must conduct background checks on purchases under the bill.

Unedited footage released Friday by House Speaker Mike Johnson is devastating the Democrat narrative that a violent insurrection unfolded at the US Capitol on Jan. 6.
Clips below, available at the CHA Oversight Subcommittee Reading Room, instead show Capitol Police officers gleefully shaking hands with, fist-bumping protesters and leading protesters through the halls of the Capitol.
Israel propaganda looks like a music video featuring children singing “we will annihilate everyone” in Gaza.
Palestine propaganda looks like an endless stream of raw video footage featuring children whose bodies have been ripped apart by Israeli military explosives.
Israel propaganda looks like a music video of Israeli women doing yoga on top of images of the Israeli hostages in Gaza.
Palestine propaganda looks like satellite images of entire neighborhoods that have been bombed into rubble by Israeli forces.
The USS Liberty Veterans Association is made up of the survivors of the June 8, 1967 Israeli attack on the USS Liberty.
The attack on our ship is the only attack on a US Navy ship since the end of WWII NOT investigated by the US government.
It is the only time in US Navy history that the US government has allowed War Crimes to be committed by and against the United States with impunity.
It is also the only time in US Navy history that the President of the United States ordered the recall of aircraft launched to assist us while we were still under attack and calling for help.

Twelve of the world’s wealthiest billionaires produce more greenhouse gas emissions from their yachts, private jets, mansions and financial investments than the annual energy emissions of 2m homes, research shared exclusively with the Guardian reveals.
The tycoons include the Amazon boss, Jeff Bezos, the Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich, the tech billionaires Bill Gates, Larry Page and Michael Dell, the inventor and social media company owner Elon Musk and the Mexican business magnate Carlos Slim.
Analysis by Oxfam and US researchers of their luxury purchases, which include superyachts, private jets, cars, helicopters and palatial mansions, combined with the impact of their financial investments and shareholdings reveals that they account for almost 17m tonnes of CO2 and equivalent greenhouse gas emissions annually.
This is the same as the CO2 and equivalent emissions from powering 2.1m homes or the emissions from 4.6 coal-fired power plants over a year, according to conversion data from the US Environmental Protection Agency.
We are embroiled in two wars, in Europe and the Middle East, which have increasingly serious consequences for our living conditions and security.
On the European front, what the Wall Street Journal calls "one of the largest acts of sabotage in Europe since World War II" was carried out in September 2022: the United States, assisted by Norway and Poland, blew up the Nord Stream, the main gas pipeline carrying cheap Russian gas to Germany and from there to other European countries. The dynamics of this wartime action were reconstructed, based on precise evidence, by U.S. journalist Seymour Hersh and a German investigation.
U.S. Secretary of State Blinken called the Nord Stream blockade "a huge strategic opportunity for years to come" and pointed out that "the U.S. has become the main supplier of liquefied natural gas to Europe," gas that we European citizens pay much more for than what we used to import from Russia.
At the same time, the U.S. is passing on to Europe the enormous cost of the NATO war in Ukraine against Russia. The European Commission is paving the way for Ukraine’s next entry into the EU, with the consequence that we European citizens will be the ones paying for the huge Ukrainian deficit.
The Republican-controlled Texas House of Representatives voted to reject a school choice measure on Friday, drawing the ire of Republican Governor Greg Abbott.
NBC sketch-show “Saturday Night Live” delivered a series of comedic slaps to an increasingly gaffe-prone President Joe Biden, focusing on his recent conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping in California.
The Biden administration has intensified its offensive against former President Donald Trump, focusing on the potential Republican nominee for the 2024 presidential election as a rematch between the two political heavyweights becomes increasingly probable.
Throughout the week, the Biden campaign has been launching daily attacks on Trump, releasing memos that outline the potential implications of a second Trump term on issues such as abortion rights, the economy, and immigration. The campaign has specifically responded to inflammatory remarks made by the former president, in which he referred to his political adversaries as "vermin."
Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” talks to Stella Assange, wife of Julian Assange about her husband's current situation in a high-security prison in southeast London; the scandalous reasons that he’s been imprisoned since April 11, 2019 for his involvement with Wikileaks; how he is kept locked up for 20 hours a day; his current physical and emotional state; the implications of her husband's case on journalism and free speech; how people can contact their representatives and join initiatives to help free Assange; and much more.
An Israeli rescue agency recently revealed that Israeli helicopters opened fire, killing over 200 civilians, during the initial Hamas attack. Further supporting this was Israeli military-released drone footage, which showed hundreds of scorched cars moved from the Nova music festival – evidence that Israeli forces may have killed many of their own people during the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7.
According to an RT article on November 6, Israeli soldiers were suspected of the massacre as Zaka Search and Rescue reported that they had taken 260 dead out of the event venue of the festival. Meanwhile, the recently released video provided an aerial view of the charred vehicles removed from the festival grounds and arranged in a makeshift junkyard on a dirt parking lot.
On September 22, 1947, Loy Henderson strongly warned Secretary of State George C. Marshall that partition of Palestine into Arab and Jewish states was not workable and would lead to untold troubles in the future. Henderson was director of the US State Department's Office of Near Eastern and African Affairs, and his memorandum, coming less than a month after a United Nations special committee had recommended partition, stands as one of the most perceptive analyses of the perils that partition would bring.
Doctors who tried to save the life of President John F Kennedy after he was shot in 1963 said they believed there was 'more than one shooter' in interviews that are set to air for the first time.
The medics spoke out in 2013 but the footage was kept under wraps for a decade.
It will feature in new documentary JFK Assassination: What Happened in the Trauma Room?, which airs on Channel 5 on Sunday.
Kennedy was shot during an official visit to Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963 and pronounced dead after arriving at the Parkland Memorial Hospital.
Official investigations concluded that he was assassinated by lone gunman Lee Harvey Oswald from a sixth floor window of the Texas School Book Depository.
But numerous books and documentaries have challenged that conclusion in the six decades since the killing.
The seven doctors who spoke out treated Kennedy at Parkland, where he was taken to in his open-top limousine after being shot in the head.
Dr Robert McClelland, who died aged 89 in 2019 and was the assistant professor of surgery at the hospital in 1963, said: 'In all probability there was a conspiracy. There was more than one shooter'.
Dr Michael Hudson was interviewed on the Duran channel. He is a famous economist and we need to listen to him. My favorite one of his books is Super Imperialism. The US ended WW II with the only intact manufacturing capacity of any major nation and most of the world’s gold. By 1960 we were a debtor nation. He sees No Exit on a Good Path for America from its current position. I see an Exit but not on a Good Path.
How did we decline so far so fast?
I would say by design.
Dr Hudson in the interview specifically mentioned the Korean War as the beginning of America’s trade deficit. He is not allowed to mention that the decision to give north Korea to Joe Stalin made the war and our rapid economic decline possible. That and the addition of 19 million people since 1940.
I have mentioned before Nobel Prize winning economist Wasily Leontief whose empirical study of the US economy proved that American wages were a third higher than Europe’s because we added value with skilled labor to abundant natural resources. Of course when our population went past 150 million in 1950 we were supposed to cut wages so we could buy natural resources from foreigners. Instead we printed I Owe You Nothing Federal Reserve Notes so foreigners who accepted our worthless paper were paying us to occupy their nation and let us to essentially acquire their exports for free.
Scenes of worshippers being prevented by Israeli forces from praying at Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque have become commonplace since 7 October.
The holiest Muslim site in Palestine usually draws tens of thousands of faithful for prayers every Friday, but seemingly arbitrary restrictions on who can enter the compound mean protests regularly erupt at the site, as worshippers are refused entry.
Over the past few weeks, Israeli troops have fired tear gas on Palestinians attempting to pray in the streets surrounding Al-Aqsa and attacked some journalists covering the events.
“They don’t let us in, oppress us, and hit us,” said Mohammad Salaymeh, an 18-year-old man who has not been able to pray at Al-Aqsa since the beginning of the war.
United States President Joe Biden has delivered two different messages on the Israel-Hamas war to pro-Palestinian and pro-Israel Americans, NBC News has reported, based on copies of official White House correspondence.
While one letter showcased Biden’s support for Israel against Palestinian group Hamas’s “terrorism”, the other spoke about the US administration’s efforts to protect civilians in the Gaza Strip.
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said on Monday that he had arrived in Kiev, adding that the United States will continue to support Ukraine.
"I just arrived in Kiev to meet with Ukrainian leaders. I’m here today to deliver an important message – the United States will continue to stand with Ukraine in their fight for freedom against Russia, both now and into the future," Austin wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Many high-ranking politicians from the European Union are out of touch with reality when it comes to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Saturday.
Unlike other EU countries, Hungary has refused to send weapons or other lethal aid to Ukraine, insisting that it is focused on finding a peaceful resolution to the hostilities.
“A significant part of the European political elite has practically lost common sense. Some people imagine themselves in Fortnite,” Szijjarto said at a political event in Budapest, referring to the popular multiplayer video game.
“They suffer from military psychosis, and, for some mysterious reason, believe that arms shipments can bring peace.”
Yair Netanyahu, the son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, sparked backlash Saturday night when he posted content on his Telegram channel criticizing the IDF, the courts, and the media, coinciding with his father's press conference.
In one post, he claimed that the decisions made by the High Court of Justice led to changes in the IDF's rules of engagement at the Gaza border, enabling Hamas terrorists to approach the border fence.
He then shared posts blaming the IDF for the failure on October 7, when Hamas terrorists massacred 1,200 people and kidnapped hundreds to hold hostage in the Gaza Strip.
I’ve got a new oil painting I’m titling “Blood On Our Hands”, based on the demonstration at Tony Blinken’s Senate testimony last month where protesters painted their hands red and called for a ceasefire in Gaza:
The soaring Debt to GDP ratio at 124%, driven by the government’s extensive money printing, poses a heightened risk of long-term economic consequences and increased inflationary pressures.
