"Finally, history has shown that all opposition to entrenched oligarchy arises from the middle classes, who have the surplus of funds needed to challenge the ruling classes. Communism survived for as long as it did because their system designed the middle class out of existence at the very start. The New World Order will have to, indeed already is, following the same model. If the general population only has enough to pay for the next day's rent and food, they will do as they are told." -- Michael Rivero

Former President Donald Trump will not be going after President Joe Biden if he wins the presidential election in November and becomes president again. Trump made the remarks during an interview with Time Magazine when he was asked about his plans to seek retribution against Democrats, including Biden.

While asking the question, the Time reporter tried to subtly dispel Trump’s claims that the criminal cases against him were prompted by Biden.

“I just want to say for the record, there’s no evidence that President Biden directed this prosecution against you. But even if we stipulated that …” the reporter began.

In response, Trump said, “I always hate the way a reporter will make those statements. They know it’s so wrong. It’s just sort of to protect yourself. But no, no. His head of the Justice Department, one of the top few people, was put into the DOJ. Fani [Willis], Mr. [Nathan] Wade, Fani’s lover, spent hours in Washington with the DOJ working on my case. The DOJ worked with Letitia James on my case. The DOJ worked with deranged Jack Smith. He’s a deranged person on my case. No, no, this is all Biden.”

Regardless of his belief that Biden is behind his prosecutions, Trump said that he would not be pursuing retribution against the president.

Officials have recalled around 16,000 pounds of ground beef over worries it was contaminated with the strongest strain of E.coli.

The raw meat packs had been distributed to Walmart by Cargill Meat Solutions, a Pennsylvania-based company that ships meat around the country.

The food safety watchdog is concerned that some product may be in consumers' refrigerators or freezers.

Packs don't have Cargill on the label. Instead, the brand on the front is 'All Natural'. They were produced on April 26 to 27 and have an ID of 'EST.86P'. Pictures are available here.

The USDA-Food Safety Inspection Service's recall notice said Cargill reported the issue to them after it spotted that 'previously segregated product had been inadvertently utilized in the production of ground beef.'

Toxic chemicals in fertilizers made from sewage sludge are linked to dead livestock and fouled groundwater on farms in Johnson County, Texas, according to Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER). The County has opened a criminal investigation into these events, and, while the investigation is ongoing, they are holding public hearings to warn residents so they can take protective action.

The biosolid fertilizer manufacturer Synagro has more than a thousand municipal wastewater facilities as its customers across North America, and took over the biosolids program for the City of Fort Worth in 2020. Two farm families in Grandview, Texas, complained of horrific smells coming from a neighboring absentee farm property after land application of biosolids from Synagro in December of 2022. The families have also experienced the death of ten cows and a horse, and an alarming concentration of contaminants on their properties.

Per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are toxic to humans in concentrations as small as parts per quadrillion. The levels found in the samples from the farms were vastly higher. Known as “forever chemicals” because they do not break down in the environment, the adverse health impacts of PFAS are well documented.

Yemen’s Houthis targeted an Israel-linked container ship deep in the Arabian Sea, demonstrating an ability to hit targets at a long range after Houthi Leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi vowed to expand attacks into the Indian Ocean.

The attack on the MSC Orion took place last Friday but was just confirmed by maritime authorities on Tuesday. The crew of the vessel said they discovered debris that looked like a drone and reported minor damage and said no one was hurt.

According to the Joint Maritime Information Center, the ship was hit in the Indian Ocean about 170 miles south of the Yemeni island of Socotra, which is not controlled by the Houthis, and about 400 miles from the Yemeni mainland.

The MSC Orion is owned by London-based Zodiac Maritime, which is part of Israeli billionaire Eyal Ofer’s Zodiac Group. The Houthis began targeting Israel-linked shipping in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden last year in response to the Israeli slaughter in Gaza and expanded to targeted American and British shipping after the US and UK began a new bombing campaign in Yemen on January 12.

He had been in good health, and 'was noted for having a healthy lifestyle,' according to the report.

He had been in critical condition for two weeks, according to his aunt Carol Parsons, who said he became ill and went to the hospital due to breathing difficulties. He was intubated, after which he developed pneumonia and then MRSA, a serious bacterial infection.

His condition deteriorated rapidly, and he was airlifted from Wichita to a hospital in Oklahoma City, Parsons said. There he was put on an ECMO machine, which circulates and oxygenates a patient’s blood outside the body, taking over heart and lung function when a patient’s organs don’t work on their own. -Seattle Times

Doctors had considered amputating both hands and both feet.

"It was brutal what he went through," said Parsons. "Heartbreaking."

Families flocked to see a haunting collection of military 'trophies' brought back to Russia from Ukrainian battlefields on Wednesday as the country marked a public holiday at Moscow's Victory Park.

Armoured vehicles from a dozen NATO countries, as well as drones, rocket launchers and American tanks, were displayed in the symbolic space dedicated to Russia's triumph over the Nazis in World War II.

The army did not say where exactly where the rows of armoured vehicles were captured - or at what cost - only that they came from Russian-occupied eastern and southern Ukraine.

Among them, visitors could goggle at a British Army Husky, the windshield shot up from conflict with British and NATO flags shown in the windscreen.

More than two years into Russia's Ukraine offensive, the mood was one of admiration and patriotism - but also of fear in the face of a dragging conflict with no end in sight.

Emmanuel Macron has said he would be prepared to send troops to Ukraine if Vladimir Putin's forces break through the front lines - further raising the risk of NATO forces clashing with Russia's armies.

In an interview published today, the French president said the issue of sending troops would 'legitimately' arise if Kyiv and president Volodymyr Zelensky made such a request.

The Economist said Macron gave the interview after delivering a keynote speech last week where he declared that Europe is 'mortal' and could 'die' partly due to the threat posed by Russian aggression after its February 2022 invasion of Ukraine.

It also came as Russia claimed its forces had taken another town in Donetsk, eastern Ukraine, with Moscow's armies continuing to push against Kyiv's defences.

By Joseph Stepansky

The sun was casting shadows onto the green grass of Dunn Meadow at Indiana University Bloomington, as a line of police carrying batons and shields moved forward.

Across from the police stood a daisy chain of protesters, their arms linked in front of a newly established pro-Palestine encampment. The cluster of tents resembled dozens of other encampments set up at universities across the United States in recent weeks, as demonstrations against Israel’s war in Gaza reached a fever pitch.

College campuses in the US have long been bastions of academic freedom and political protest, and Indiana University was no exception. For 55 years, Dunn Meadow had been its designated “assembly ground”, an area the university itself described as a “public forum for expression on all subjects”.

But that changed on April 24, as university administrators swiftly revised policies that had been on the books since 1969.

While the university had previously allowed “the use of signs, symbols or structures” for protests on the meadow, the change banned temporary structures without prior approval. The very next day, police appeared to dismantle the encampment — and arrest students.

The move catapulted Indiana University to the forefront of a heated debate: Are those protesting the war in Gaza facing disproportionate challenges to their rights to free speech and expression?

“Students and faculty and community members have gathered at this meadow for decades, and it has never been met with this,” said Benjamin Robinson, a professor of Germanic studies at the university who joined the protesters on April 25.

He was ultimately arrested, along with about 50 other demonstrators, all of whom received an immediate year-long ban from campus.

“Now I’m seeing this militarised, overwhelming, disproportionate show of force,” Robinson told Al Jazeera. “It makes you wonder: Why this time? Why is this time different?"

Claire's Observations:  Professor Robinson this time is different, because Israel wants the world to conflate the concept of  "self defence" with "genocide against the Palestinian people", and the world is just  not cooperating.  This has been courtesy to some very ballsy Middle Eastern reporters and photographers who have borne witness to the carnage Israel has created, and is still creating, in Gaza. They many times have risked death to do this, but have persisted, against some incredible odds.

This is why the AAA Act, the so-called "Antisemitism Awareness Act, has just been passed, by a bought- and paid-for US Congress, which has proven itself,  time after time, ready for sale, just  like a commodity (think:  pork bellies), for the best price.

This Act is apt to lead to prosecutions against Christians quoting ANY portion of the Bible which might possibly be, in the slightest way, derogatory against historical or contemporary Jews.

I would imagine that Bible publishers are frantically "editing out" the "naughty bits", like Eve, eating the apple  against God's command, or the Israelites worshiping the Golden Calf, when Moses was away.

What we have known as the Christian Bible,  is going to be one slim book, looking like it OD'd on Ozempic, by the time the zealots get their way.  Oh, and let's not forget a  potential coming "house to house search" to "purge" homes of Bibles which to  NOT conform to the AAA's standards; perhaps they will be burned to destroy them,  as in Germany's "Kristallnacht", or the film "Fahrenheit  451".  Who knows?!?

So Professor Robinson, THIS is why "this time" is different for Israel, and thinking Americans need to take notice.

It seems like a lot of people just can’t hardly wait for war. From mainstream news media to even the best of alternative news sources, commentators and pundits, everyone seems to be salivating at the idea of World War Three.

I find it interesting to note that during World War 1, we didn’t call it “World War 1,” because we didn’t recognize it as the first of many. It was first called the “European War.” Then American newspapers called it “World War.” And the British called it the “Great War.” Soldiers fighting and families left at home had no idea they were fighting “World War 1.” Then, it was FDR who first used the term “World War 2” in 1941. But soldiers fighting and those at home didn’t realize they were fighting “World War 2” until Roosevelt named it that. But today, people seem so eager for World War 3. Even regular, everyday citizens seemed giddy at the idea of World War 3. It’s on everyone’s minds and it seems virtually inevitable.

As we look at current world events, it does appear that a war to engulf the globe has already been set in motion. Like wars we’ve seen in the past, alliances are being formed. The BRICS nations, consisting of Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Ethiopia, Iran and the United Arab Emirates have been in allegiance since 2009. Also at that table, you could add North Korea, Iraq, Turkey, Syria and Afghanistan.
