Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Tyree Smith, a brain-eating cannibal, was released from a Bridgeport, Connecticut psych ward 50 years earlier than his scheduled release date for ‘good behavior’ even though he previously told his psychiatrist he wanted to eat her flesh.

“Tyree Smith is an individual with a psychiatric illness requiring care, custody and treatment,” the board stated in its report this week. “Since his last hearing Tyree Smith has continued to demonstrate clinical stability. Mr. Smith is medication compliant, actively engaged in all recommended forms of treatment, and has been symptom-free for many years.”

Smith, who was 36 at the time, was sentenced to 60 years in a psych ward in September 2013 (effectively a life sentence) after a jury found him not guilty of murder by way of insanity.

Republicans put forward their last-ditch effort to avert a government shutdown on Saturday, calling a vote on a bill just minutes after sharing it with House Democrats.

The bill, described by Republicans as a “clean” 45-day continuing resolution (CR), was anything but clean.

Democrats did their best to prolong the vote to give them time to read what Republicans put in the new bill, with Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries invoking a “magic minute” (meaning he can speak as long as he wants), to delay the proceedings.

As a reminder, Speaker Kevin McCarthy previously promised to give lawmakers a 72-hour window to read bills brought to the House Floor.

Rather than making a serious attempt to write a bill that has a chance of passing in the Senate, Republicans threw their wish list items into the legislation. And conveniently, one of the things House Republicans made sure to include was a pay raise – not for hardworking Americans at risk by the GOP’s actions – but for themselves.

The chilling of speech has been doubly unconstitutional because it affects the freedom to read opposing views. The First Amendment protects not only the right to express views but also the right to hear what others have to say. Although often presented as a distinct right, the right to hear can be considered an essential element of the right to speak.

People can’t develop their views with any sophistication unless they can consider opinions that enlarge, refine, moderate or challenge their own. So, when government demands the suppression of some speech and chills even more, it reduces the diversity, value and moderation of opinion—and thereby diminishes the opportunity for every individual to develop and express his own considered views. Censorship inhibits the output of critical voices, which lessens Americans’ intellectual input, which in turn limits their intellectual output. Reading and speaking are inextricably linked in conversation.

The chilling of one insightful opinion from a scientist or physician can profoundly alter scientific and medical debate. So can the suppression of one patient’s report of an adverse vaccine event. Therefore, when vast numbers of Americans are chilled in their scientific and medical speech, it dangerously injures all of us, who suffer a diminished opportunity to learn and to reconsider and refine our own views.

America’s reputation as “the land of the free” is rooted in the Anglo-Saxon legal and political tradition, not in diversity and multiculturalism. Law as a shield of the people instead of a weapon in the hands of rulers is a British achievement that Britain’s American colonies inherited. It was the accomplishment of a specific ethnicity known as Anglo-Saxon. Bringing rulers to the same accountability to law as the lowest peasant was a centuries-long process beginning with Alfred the Great in the 9th century and culminating in the Glorious Revolution of 1680.

In this legal tradition law is based in the customs and mores of the people, not on edicts issued from rulers, government bureaucrats, regulatory agencies, and activist judges. Obviously, this conveys an ethnic basis to law. A Tower of Babel–the fate of all diminishing white countries today–has no common customs and mores and no basis for law other than rulers’ edicts enforced by power.

Throughout the Western World today the people have lost the protection of law as a shield and suffer under rulers who wield law as a weapon. In the United States today demonstrators and rally attendees are turned into “insurrectionists” and sentenced to prison. Even US President Donald Trump is being subjected to four fake felony prosecutions in order to prevent him from being elected president.

During my youth law was seen as a shield of our rights, not as a weapon to be used against us. US Supreme Court Justice George Sutherland explained in 1934 that the purpose of law was to discover innocence or guilt, not to dispose of an enemy:

“The United States Attorney is the representative not of an ordinary party to a controversy, but of a sovereignty whose obligation to govern impartially is as compelling as its obligation to govern at all; and whose interest, therefore, in a criminal prosecution is not that it shall win a case, but that justice shall be done. As such, he is in a peculiar and very definite sense the servant of the law, the twofold aim of which is that guilt shall not escape or innocent suffer. He may prosecute with earnestness and vigor–and indeed, he should do so. But, while he may strike hard blows, he is not at liberty to strike foul ones. It is as much his duty to refrain from improper methods calculated to produce a wrongful conviction as it is to use every legitimate means to bring about a just one.”

Three girls were kidnapped, tortured and raped by an illegal immigrant gang in northern Minnesota recently. One of the girls was an 11-year-old.

In a Wednesday speech in San Francisco, President Joe Biden hammered Americans for shying away from taking any more shots for new coronavirus variants and for increasingly turning a deaf ear to discussions about vaccines.

Biden appeared at the Fairmont San Francisco Hotel in San Francisco, California, to deliver a short speech on America’s efforts on artificial intelligence for scientific research and medical applications. But at the outset of his little address, he went off on vaccines.

Biden opened his speech claiming that it has “disturbed” him that the federal government has not paid attention to “investments in science and technology” over the past 30 years, according to the White House transcript of the event.

“We used to lead the world” in research and development in science and technology, he said. U.S. spending on such things has fallen from 2 percent of Gross Domestic Product to only .07 percent, Biden noted.

He added, “And I don’t know how we can be the safest, most secure, and healthiest nation in the world without significant investment in — in science and technology.”

In a 88-9 vote the Senate passed a stopgap measure that will temporarily prevent a government shut down for 45 days.

The vote concluded with just three hours to spare before the fiscal year ends.

The short term spending bill also known as continue resolution was passed by the House earlier in the evening in a 335-91 vote.

A record-setting number of migrants crossed the southern border into the United States in September, with over 260,000 encounters reported by Customs and Border Protection in the last 30 days, according to a report.

The stunning figure — which is roughly the population of St. Petersburg, Florida —  is the highest monthly total ever reported by border officials as the country grapples with the migrant crisis, CBP sources told Fox News.

That number includes both CBP encounters between ports of entry and Office of Field Operations (OFO) encounters at ports, Fox reported.

The previous record was set last December, when CBP officials reported 252,320 migrant encounters. 

Crossings were trending downward through much of the new year however they skyrocketed in recent months. Just last week, CBP announced there were at least 230,000 migrant encounters in August.

The pathogen which will be responsible for the next serious international epidemic is currently unknown to cause human disease.

In November 2022, the WHO convened over 300 scientists to discuss Disease X. The scientists are updating the list of priority pathogens that are likely to have devastating socio-economic impact, and require further research. The WHO first published the list in 2017, and updated it in 2018. 

In a fiery series of messages on X, Donald Trump Jr. has unleashed a scathing critique of establishment Senate Republicans.

His target? The Senate’s proposed stop-gap bill that, among other things, aims to send $6.1 billion in aid to Ukraine. Trump Jr. is not holding back, naming names and calling out what he sees as betrayal by Republican leaders.

“If only these RINOs fought this hard for things that actually helped American citizens!!!” Trump Jr. wrote.

Trump Jr. began his tirade by focusing on Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), writing, “RINOs in the Senate are trying to jam billions more in Ukraine funding down our throats. Jose Alba was charged with second-degree murder after stabbing ex-con Austin Simon in the neck and chest on July 1, 2022, at a Blue Moon bodega in Harlem.

Following an outpouring of anger at the decision to prosecute, on July 19, Bragg's office asked a judge to drop the charges against Alba after having faced intense backlash, including criticism from the city's mayor.
