In a show of force perhaps prompted by President Biden's authorization of Ukrainian strikes inside Russia using US weapons, a group of Russian warships is en route to the Caribbean, a senior US official has told McClatchy and the Miami Herald. White House officials alerted members of Congress to the Russian move on Wednesday.

The deployment signals Russia's capacity to operate globally while still fully engaged its third year of war in Ukraine. “This is about Russia showing they are still capable of some level of naval power projection,” the official said. “We should expect more of this activity going forward.” In March, Ukraine claimed it had either sunk or disabled a full third of Russia's ships in the Black Sea.

CBS News reports that long-range Russian bombers will rendezvous with the ships for combined naval and air maneuvers. Such exercises are not without precedent: Russia conducted similar combined-arms Caribbean maneuvers in 2019, and had a streak of sending ships into the Western Hemisphere at least annually from 2013 to 2020. Following the summer exercises, Russia is expected to engage in a worldwide naval exercise this fall, sources tell CBS.

The Pentagon is tracking a "handful" of ships and support craft that are expected to reach Caribbean waters in the upcoming weeks. US analysts speculate that the flotilla will make port calls in both Cuba and Venezuela. Cuba's likely relishes the opportunity to host the Russian warships: Last year's docking of a US nuclear submarine at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base ruffled feathers in Havana, with the Cuban government calling it a "provocative escalation."

The fourth test flight of the biggest and most powerful rocket ever built is in the books, and what a dramatic and nail-biting trip for SpaceX it was.

SpaceX launched its Starship megarocket for the fourth time ever today (June 6) at 8:50 a.m. EDT (1250 GMT), sending the 400-foot-tall (122 meters) vehicle aloft from its Starbase site near Boca Chica Beach in South Texas atop a thundering pillar of fire.

There were two main goals today: bring Starship's first-stage booster, known as Super Heavy, down for a soft splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico, and achieve a controlled reentry of the 165-foot-tall (50 m) upper stage, called Starship or simply Ship. Both the Super Heavy booster and its Ship appeared to make their water landings, sending spectators at SpaceX's mission control at Starbase into a frenzy of cheers.

On Wednesday, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D-N.Y.) demanded that former President Donald Trump remain under the restrictions of his gag order, even despite the verdict already being reached in his trial.

As the Daily Caller reports, President Trump’s attorney made a request on Tuesday for Judge Juan Merchan to lift the gag order ahead of the former president’s participation in the first presidential debate against Joe Biden, which is set for June 27th.

“Concerns articulated by the government and the Court do not justify restrictions on the First Amendment rights of President Trump,” said the attorney, arguing that the gag order has become irrelevant now that the trial is over. President Trump is entitled to “unrestrained campaign advocacy” with just five months to go until the November election, as well as the right to fight back against insults and accusations leveled against him by Biden and top witnesses in the trial such as Stormy Daniels and Michael Cohen.

But prosecutors have since claimed that the gag order goes beyond the trial itself.

“As the People will explain more fully in our written opposition to defendant’s forthcoming motion, these interests have not abated, and the Court has an obligation to protect the integrity of these proceedings and the fair administration of justice at least through the sentencing hearing and the resolution of any post-trial motion,” said prosecutor Matthew Colangelo in a letter to Merchan. Colangelo was previously a top official in the Biden Administration’s Department of Justice (DOJ) before switching to the Manhattan office to be part of the Trump prosecution.

Webmaster addition: There is no reason to continue the gag order except to prevent more facts about the kangaroo court from coming out!

Despite suffering considerable losses, the armed factions’ main infrastructure and leaders appear to be intact, allowing them to recruit and strike back even in areas that the occupation long ago it had “cleared.” Jon Elmer, a contributing editor at The Electronic Intifada, discusses the strength of the Palestinian resistance and why Israel can continue to massacre, but can’t win.”     Why Israel Still Can’t Defeat Gaza’s Guerrilla Fighters   June 3, 2024, 26 minutes

Biden has been facing protests in the form of “uncommitted” votes in the primary election.

If we look at the percentages, they have not cost Biden the nomination, obviously, but several states in the 2020 election would have been flipped with these numbers.

When you consider that Joe Biden is polling much worse now than he was during the 2020 cycle, this has to be a concern for Democrats.

On Biden’s response to Israel, Psaki, who now works for MSNBC, stated, “Clearly the strategy that the United States is implementing at this point is not working to change the behavior of Prime Minister Netanyahu, it is not working to end the war.

“So obviously, something has to change.”

Netanyahu has been adamant that he will not have another cease-fire until Hamas agrees to free all hostages.

He has also stated that the war will not be over until he has completely destroyed Hamas.

The problem for Israel, however, is that Netanyahu needs all the aid that the United States provides. He can posture now, but if Biden threatens to pull military aid, Netanyahu’s hand could be forced.

It's time once again for the debut of a new Star Wars series on Disney+, which means it's also time for Star Wars fans to be horrified and despondent over what Disney has done to their beloved space opera franchise. Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your own point of view), Disney has a lot more Star Wars in the hopper.

A friend of the great Mark Levin has suggested that Republican states should sue the state of New York in the Supreme Court over the outrageous prosecution of former President Trump in an election year.

In effect, this would create an appropriate avenue for the Supreme Court to take action to undo the corrupt prosecution of Trump, not based on the merits of the case or lack thereof, but because of the intent of the prosecution to harm Trump’s chances of winning the election, especially in the all important swing states.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s successful push to hike the minimum wage for many of the state’s fast food workers is having a devastating impact on businesses, who have been forced to cut labor costs to survive, critics say.

Prices at major brands like Chipotle, McDonald’s and other fast food giants have increased in a move to keep up with the $20 per hour workers have been paid since the new wage went into effect on April 1. The rule impacts restaurants that have at least 60 locations nationwide, except those that make and sell their own bread.

The California Business and Industrial Alliance (CABIA) said nearly 10,000 jobs have been cut across fast food restaurants since Newsom signed California Assembly Bill 1287 into law last year.

During Wednesday night’s sitdown with Donald Trump, Fox News host Sean Hannity asked the former President about reports that he’d seek retribution against Democrats if elected.

“Number one, they’re wrong,” Trump replied. “It has to stop, because otherwise, we’re not going to have a country. Look, when this election is over, based on what they’ve done, I would have every right to go after them, and it’s easy, because it’s Joe Biden and you see all the criminality, all of the money that’s going into the family and him, all of this money from China, from Russia, from Ukraine.”

“What they’re doing to me, if it’s going to continue, we’re really not going to have much of a country left. It’s really, it is weaponization. You call it lawfare, you call it — some people call it just warfare — but it is weaponization of the election,” the 2024 GOP frontrunner added.

“And we’re talking about, I think, the most important election in the history of our country. This will go down, I believe, as the most important election in the history of our country. We can’t have this stuff go on.”

President Joe Biden is reportedly struggling to function during closed-door meetings with U.S. officials and lawmakers to the point where at times people have wondered if he was awake.

The Wall Street Journal interviewed dozens of people — Republicans and Democrats, including those inside the White House — for its report and found that many had serious concerns about Biden’s mental fitness for the job. Their concerns match concerns that the overwhelming majority of voters have heading into the upcoming election following years of Biden making serious mental errors, from not remembering when he was in office to claiming that he had recently met with people who had been dead for decades.

The report comes after Special Counsel Robert Hur decided earlier that he could not bring criminal charges against Biden for his mishandling of classified material in part because prosecutors did not believe that he would be viewed as fit to stand trial.

Former U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr said this week that he believes the conviction in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office’s criminal case against former President Donald Trump is likely to be “overturned” because there was “no crime” committed.

“I said from the very start that this was an abomination,” Barr said during an interview. “And I actually was surprised that they went ahead with the case because there really was nothing there. There was no crime there and they never were able to really articulate it until after the defense rested its case. So I thought the whole thing was a travesty. I wasn’t surprised by the verdict because the way the case was conducted, there was never really any discipline on trying to make the prosecutor establish what the elements of the crime were and what evidence he had to do it. It was just assumed from the beginning that there was some kind of Federal Election Campaign violation, which there wasn’t.”

Barr warned that the case was damaging to political discourse in the U.S. and to the general health of the country.

The former White House physician for Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump says that a new report this week about how President Joe Biden is struggling to function behind closed doors represents a serious threat to the U.S.

The remarks from Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) come after The Wall Street Journal reported that Biden has struggled so greatly at times that officials in private meetings with him have wondered if he is even awake.

The report said that Biden did not know details about his own policies or the fact that the policies had been implemented in addition to forgetting negotiations that had already been solidified and making bizarre remarks to lawmakers.

“The article’s just documenting what I’ve been saying all along: he’s not fit to be the commander in chief,” Jackson said. “He’s got significant issues, he shouldn’t have the job. You know, it’s a national security issue for us.”

Many Democrats were probably expecting Trump’s chances to tank after the New York guilty verdict.

Many believed the criminal trial (along with the other trials against Trump) was meant to hurt Trump’s 2024 campaign. Instead, it seems that the plan backfired.

Trump’s campaign raised a reported $200 million after the guilty verdict. It appears people who previously didn’t support Trump are now jumping on his bandwagon.

A new post-conviction poll is coming out. It reveals how independent voters view the former president. And, in the aftermath of the New York conviction, it seems voters are starting to clarify their stances on Trump and Biden. Democrats are not going to like this.

From The Post Millennial:
Donald Trump is leading incumbent President Joe Biden among independent voters in a new poll released after his guilty verdict on Thursday…

Among independent voters, Trump leads Biden with 38 to 26 going into June. The national poll was conducted between May 29 and 31 of 1,675 registered voters with a margin of error of 2.5 percent, and the verdict, issued on May 30, did not seem to weaken his support…

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine there has been an increased tempo of attempts to rewrite the history of World War Two by Western media and politicians.

At an event to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz this year, the President of the EU Commission Ursula Von Der Leyen, never even mentioned that it was the Red Army which liberated the death camp.

Meanwhile, President Biden during a recent speech at Arlington Military Cemetery said that the US Army had “liberated the continent’’ from fascism and did not mention the role of the Red Army in the victory over Nazi Germany.

“Covid Jabs May be to Blame for Increase in Excess Deaths”

If this report by The Telegraph had been published in early 2021, several million lives would have been saved.

But in 2021, censorship was imposed. Honest journalism was silenced. The media was supportive of the fear campaign.

The Telegraph report by Science Editor Sara Knapton, 5 June 2024 pertains to:

Researchers from The Netherlands analysed data from 47 Western countries and discovered there had been more than three million excess deaths since 2020, with the trend continuing despite the rollout of vaccines and containment measures.
