"Nowhere in the Constitution is the government authorized to lie to We The People. And the Tenth Amendment prohibits the government from simply assuming that right.

"The government lied about a Spanish mine in Havana harbor, They lied about the Lusitania not smuggling weapons to Great Britain. They lied about the JFK assassination. They lied about torpedoes in the Gulf of Tonkin. They lied about Saddam’s WMDs. They lied about Assad gassing his own people. They lied about 9-11. They lied about Covid. They lied about honest elections. They lie about everything!

"When the government lies to We The People, it becomes an unconstitutional and hence illegitimate government, and we are not obligates to obey said government’s dictates, pay said government’s bills, or sacrifice our children in said government’s wars!" -- Michael Rivero

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) sat down with Tucker Carlson for a little over two hours, where the two discussed a variety of topics, including the grip that lobbies such as AIPAC has have over legislative agendas, freedom of speech, government surveillance, and the influence of the media when it comes to the political polarization of American politics.

Massie began by opining on the US National Debt, which currently stands at just under $35 trillion.

You know, it's hard to comprehend 14 digits of debt. But when you see the last five digits are moving so fast, you can't, you know, perceive them with your eyes, then you kind of understand. Whoa, we are problem here. I mean, it's a $100,000 a second, roughly. So imagine we had this catapult and we were launching, cyber trucks once a second into the ocean. That's how much debt we're taking on, continuously.

He noted a troubling tendency by Congress to treat the debt as a mere abstraction vs. an urgent reality that requires immediate and decisive action, telling Carlson "I am trying to make people feel very uncomfortable" so a to raise awareness.

Lobbyists Rule DC

Massie then went into his views on lobbying and his stance on foreign aid - in particular, his consistent record of voting against funding for Israel. He explained that his opposition to these measures is not rooted in animosity towards Israel but stems from a broader philosophical and fiscal responsibility perspective against excessive foreign aid and involvement in overseas conflicts.

"Look, we haven't named three post offices like in the last month. We voted like 15 or 16 times on issues related to Israel. And, you know, I've been hit because I voted no on all of them."

His repeated votes against funding Israel reflect his commitment to reducing U.S. expenditures overseas, which he views as contributing to the national debt and entangling the U.S. in foreign issues that do not directly serve American interests. Massie's larger concern is the implications of US foreign policy decisions and the use of US taxpayer funds to achieve them.

He then delved deep into the workings and influence of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) on the legislative processes of the United States Congress - and in particular, how the organization shapes the agenda in Washington DC, often overshadowing domestic priorities.

According to Massie, AIPAC effectively places "minders" on GOP members to monitor and influence their actions and voting - saying that each Repuiblican seems to have an "AIPAC person" or babysitter.

"I have Republicans, you come to me on the floor and say, ‘I wish I could vote with you today. Yours is the right vote, but I would just take too much flak back home," adding "And I have Republicans who come to me and say, ‘That’s wrong, what a PAC is doing to you. Let me talk to my AIPAC person.’ By the way, everybody but me has an AIPAC person."

MASSIE: It’s like your babysitter. Your AIPAC babysitter who is always talking to you for AIPAC. They’re probably a constituent in your district, but they are, you know, firmly embedded in AIPAC.

CARLSON: And every member has something like this.

MASSIE: Every Re– I don’t know how it works on the Democrats’ side. But that’s how it works on the Republican side. And when they come to D.C., you go have lunch with them. And they’ve got your cell number and you have conversations with them. So I’ve had like–

CARLSON: That’s absolutely crazy.

MASSIE: I’ve had four members of Congress say, “I’ll talk to my AIPAC person.” And like that’s clearly what we call them, my AIPAC guy. I’ll talk to my AIPAC guy and see if I can get them to, you know, dial those ads back.

CARLSON: Why have I never heard this before?

MASSIE: It doesn’t benefit anybody. Why would they want to tell their constituents that they’ve basically got a buddy system with somebody who’s representing a foreign country? It doesn’t benefit the congressman for people to know that. So they’re not going to tell you that.

"They pay for trips for congressmen and their spouses to go to Israel," Massie continued. "I’m not the only Republican who hasn’t taken the AIPAC trip to Israel, but I’m probably one of a dozen that hasn’t taken that trip and the other ones just haven’t got around to it."

Claire's Observations:  There you have it, folks; a foreign government busily at work, dictating US foreign policy!!! And AIPAC doesn't even have to register as a foreign agent!!!!

When the White House released its second Indo-Pacific strategy in February 2022, senior officials saidno region will be more vital to the United States in the future and that American security and prosperity fundamentally depend on that of the Indo-Pacific.”

Two weeks later, Russia invaded Ukraine. Then, last October, Hamas attacked Israel. In late May, the United States and Germany allowed Ukraine to strike targets on Russian soil using weapons they supply. Anticipating the move from the United States and other NATO countries, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that a third world war has “crept up unnoticed.”

The United States is simultaneously entangled in escalated conflicts in all three security fronts—Europe, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific—and the nexus of foreign adversaries—China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea—is coming together like never before.

Meanwhile, China has kept up its gray zone tactics in the South China Sea, harassing ships from other countries without triggering their defense treaties with America. Various U.S. military leaders, including Adm. John Aquilino, former Indo-Pacific Commander who retired in early May, have warned that China intends to be ready to invade Taiwan by 2027.

Populism is back on the menu in Europe.

After a crushing defeat in France during Sunday's European elections, causing French President Emmanuel Macron to dissolve the French parliament and announce new elections in June and July, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo has announced his resignation after a similar wave of populist / nationalist parties swept up votes in the bloc-wide election.

In addition to France and Belgium, Germany and Austria have also see sweeping victories for anti-immigration parties.

De Croo, the leader of the Flemish Liberals and Democrats (Open VLD), says he'll step down on Monday following the results of the election in which VLD received just 6% of the vote.

The Fates

What made the war inevitable was the growth of Athenian power and the fear which this caused in Sparta,” wrote Thucydides in the History of the Peloponnesian War. As an Athenian general, he had failed to prevent the Spartan capture of a strategic city, Amphipolis, and was thus exiled for 20 years. This separation allowed Thucydides to collect detailed information on the 27-year war between Athens and Sparta. “I have written my work, not as an essay which is to win the applause of the moment, but as a possession for all time,” he explained.

Graham Allison published his book “Destined for War: Can America and China Escape Thucydides’ Trap?” in 2017. The political gears of global conflict had been grinding since antiquity; they will never cease to turn. The political shocks of 2016, first in the UK and then in the US, alerted politicians in nations across the globe to some strange new subterranean force underway, the gods at play. Ever since the last great war ended in 1945, the global system had been stable, first with a cold war between two Titans, and then with a unipolar world of utter US dominance.

Perhaps it was the US elite’s self-serving support for China’s ascent and their simultaneous neglect for America’s working class that is responsible for the 2016 backlash. No mortal can know such things. But ever since, so much has changed. The world’s great powers are adjusting to this new reality. “If you give way, you will instantly have to meet some greater demand, as having been frightened into obedience in the first instance; while a firm refusal will make them clearly understand that they must treat you more as equals,” wrote Thucydides.

“In general, the men of lower intelligence won out,” wrote Thucydides, his work a gift to those intent on not repeating the great tragedies of ancient history. “Afraid of their own shortcomings and of the intelligence of their opponents, so that they would not lose out in reasoned argument or be taken by surprise by their quick-witted opponents, they boldly moved into action. Their enemies, on the contrary, contemptuous and confident in their ability to anticipate, thought there was no need to take by action what they could win by their brains.”

Much has been written now about the inevitability of conflict with China, the fall of the American empire, the unseating of the dollar as the global reserve currency. But in each case, there is a visible path to success, room for cooperation, a shared prosperity. Only by articulating our fears, have we a chance to avert our fate. And on May 22, the House approved the Financial Innovation and Technology for the 21st Century Act (FIT21), a final version of which may help extend dollar dominance (via US dollar stablecoin), for many decades to come.

“Right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must,” wrote Thucydides for all time. “The bravest are surely those who have the clearest vision of what is before them, glory and danger alike, and yet notwithstanding, go out to meet it.” he wrote. “Those who really deserve praise are the people who, while human enough to enjoy power, nevertheless pay more attention to justice than they are compelled to do by their situation,” wrote the banished general. “And of all manifestations of power, restraint impresses men most.”

The first week of Hunter Biden’s trial on federal gun charges thrust the women in his life into an uncomfortable spotlight while debunking Democrats’ 2020 election claims that his infamous laptop was a Russian intelligence ruse.

The first son was charged in Delaware by Justice Department Special Counsel David Weiss with three felony crimes alleging he illegally made a 2018 firearm purchase while using drugs.

The accusations include lying to the licensed gun dealer, making a false claim on the application used to screen firearm's buyers by saying he was not a drug user, and illegally possessing the firearm for 11 days.

Here are some of the top moments from the first week of the  trial:

1. Hunter Biden's laptop was real and not "disinformation."

The infamous laptop was originally described by media outlets and 52 intelligence experts as "Russian disinformation" during the 2020 election. The device  — referred to as "the laptop from hell" — contained videos and photos of drug usage, inappropriate videos and business information.

FBI agent Erika Jensen told jurors last week that the laptop was real.. She said that information on the laptop contained evidence about the gun purchase.

Big Pharma manufacturers of the COVID -19 mRNA "vaccines" have lost their shield from product liability, after the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled the mRNA shots are NOT VACCINES, but rather "Treatments."

The 9th Circuit said it's not a vaccine if the claim isn't to "PREVENT THE SPREAD" of a disease.

COVID shots were claimed to "reduce symptoms" and prevent hospitalization.  Those claims make it a TREATMENT.

The case involved the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) mandating their people get the "vaccine."

But the 9th circuit, in a very detailed and complex ruling said the US District Court ERRED because this particular "vaccine" did not "prevent the spread of disease."   Here is the pertinent portion of the 9th Circuit ruling:

The race to determine who will be Donald Trump’s running mate this November took a major step forward last week with the acceleration of vetting multiple potential candidates, but political insiders with deep knowledge of presidential campaigns say there is one possible name on the former president’s shortlist Democrats “fear” the most.

Trump’s campaign recently entered the next phase of the running mate search by requesting documents from several prospective contenders, including Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, who has grown to be a staunch ally of the former president since running against him in the 2016 Republican presidential primaries.

“Rubio is a familiar face who has become one of the strongest voices in the Senate for the America First agenda, is excellent on TV, and can blast Biden effectively for his failed policies,” one top GOP strategist told Fox News Digital.
