Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell claimed on Wednesday that two Senate Democrats could have been charged with ethics violations after they demanded Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito's recusal over flags found flying at his home.

Democratic Sens. Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut and Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island, called for Alito to recuse himself from January 6 cases, and cases related to former President Donald Trump, citing potential conflicts of interest. Whitehouse and Sen. Dick Durbin also asked for a meeting with Chief Justice John Roberts to discuss Alito's recusal. All three are members of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

McConnell said the violation was made by Whitehouse and Blumenthal, because they are members of the Supreme Court Bar. Both senators have argued cases in front of the Supreme Court before joining Congress, and lawyers must join the Supreme Court Bar in order to argue cases.

President Biden claimed Thursday that he has “known” Vladimir Putin “for over 40 years” — despite Russia’s president having served as an undercover KGB intelligence officer through the entire 1980s.

“I’ve known him for over 40 years. He’s concerned me for 40 years. He’s not a decent man,” Biden, 81, told ABC News anchor David Muir during an interview in France at the Normandy American Cemetery to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

Even some of our brightest scientific minds are projecting that there is absolutely no positive future for our civilization if we stay on our current course.  Perhaps one of the reasons why our society has become so obsessed with short-term results is because most of us can’t bear to think about the long-term consequences of our actions.  I have a website that focuses on “economic collapse”, but it isn’t just the economy that is headed for catastrophe.  Virtually every aspect of our society is coming apart at the seams all around us, and the era that we are moving into will be more nightmarish than most people would dare to imagine.  But our political leaders continue to insist that everything is going to work out just fine somehow, and most people choose to believe them.

This week, an old MIT study from 1972 that projected that our civilization will collapse at some point during the 21st century made headlines on several major news sites…

In 1972, a team of MIT scientists got together to study the risks of civilizational collapse. Their system dynamics model published by the Club of Rome identified impending ‘limits to growth’ (LtG) that meant industrial civilization was on track to collapse sometime within the 21st century, due to overexploitation of planetary resources.

Hallie Biden, who had a brief romantic relationship with Hunter after Beau Biden died in 2015, testified that from the time Hunter returned to Delaware from a 2018 trip to California until she threw his gun away, she did not see him using drugs. That time period included the day he bought the weapon.

Much of her testimony focused on Oct. 23, 2018 — 11 days after he bought the gun and when she tossed it. Hunter was staying with her and seemed exhausted. Asked by the prosecutor if it appeared that Hunter was using drugs around then, she said, “He could have been.”

As Hunter slept in her home, Hallie Biden went to check his car. She said she was hoping to help him get or stay sober, free of both alcohol and cocaine. She said she found the remnants of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. She also found the gun Hunter purchased in a box with a broken lock that kept it from fully closing. There was ammunition too.

Documents that Judicial Watch obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request show that an FBI official "colluded" with House Democrat staffers ahead of a hearing with FBI whistleblowers.

“These troubling records show how the FBI colluded with Democrats hostile to FBI whistleblowers who were set to testify to Congress,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton in a statement.

Judicial Watch sued the Department of Justice after it failed to respond to its original request for the documents. After the lawsuit, the documents were provided. The request was for "all records of communication between any official or employee of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and any member of the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, any staff member for the subcommittee, or any staff member for any subcommittee member between April 1, 2023, and the present."

In a new lawsuit filed in Virginia, American Muslims for Palestine and National Students for Justice in Palestine, both notorious for their anti-Semitic, Hamas-supporting rhetoric, are being accused of acting as the “propaganda division” for Hamas terrorists in the United States.

A report from CBN reveals the dark collaboration aimed at spreading terrorist propaganda on American soil.

Arsen Ostrovsky of the Jerusalem-based International Legal Forum told CBN that American Muslims for Palestine and National Students for Justice in Palestine are essentially serving as the “propaganda division” for Hamas terrorists in the U.S. and that the groups are more than just “advocacy organizations”

Ostrovsky is working alongside the U.S. legal team of Greenberg, Traurig, and the National Jewish Advocacy Group.

The Gateway Pundit has reported on the support these groups receive directly from Hamas leaders. Senior Hamas official Khaled Mashal officially thanked student protesters at American universities for their protests and anti-Israel encampments and for their participation in the “Al-Aqsa Flood” war.

French President Emmanuel Macron stood stunned as President Joe Biden was whisked away from a ceremonial event by his wife, leaving the European leader scrambling to save face amid the confusion.

On the 80th anniversary of D-Day, world leaders gathered on Omaha Beach to honor the hundreds who died in 1944 taking a key western entrance to the country in World War II. Veterans of the day were dressed in uniform and prepared to shake hands with Biden and Macron when some kind of disturbance caused the U.S. president to exit early with help from First Lady Dr. Jill Biden.

In separate video clips, President Biden can be seen keeling over as Dr. Biden, Macron, and his spouse Brigitte Macron stood straight while dramatic music blared. Dr. Biden covered her face and appeared unsure of what to do.

In a show of force perhaps prompted by President Biden's authorization of Ukrainian strikes inside Russia using US weapons, a group of Russian warships is en route to the Caribbean, a senior US official has told McClatchy and the Miami Herald. White House officials alerted members of Congress to the Russian move on Wednesday.

The deployment signals Russia's capacity to operate globally while still fully engaged its third year of war in Ukraine. “This is about Russia showing they are still capable of some level of naval power projection,” the official said. “We should expect more of this activity going forward.” In March, Ukraine claimed it had either sunk or disabled a full third of Russia's ships in the Black Sea.

CBS News reports that long-range Russian bombers will rendezvous with the ships for combined naval and air maneuvers. Such exercises are not without precedent: Russia conducted similar combined-arms Caribbean maneuvers in 2019, and had a streak of sending ships into the Western Hemisphere at least annually from 2013 to 2020. Following the summer exercises, Russia is expected to engage in a worldwide naval exercise this fall, sources tell CBS.

The Pentagon is tracking a "handful" of ships and support craft that are expected to reach Caribbean waters in the upcoming weeks. US analysts speculate that the flotilla will make port calls in both Cuba and Venezuela. Cuba's likely relishes the opportunity to host the Russian warships: Last year's docking of a US nuclear submarine at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base ruffled feathers in Havana, with the Cuban government calling it a "provocative escalation."

The fourth test flight of the biggest and most powerful rocket ever built is in the books, and what a dramatic and nail-biting trip for SpaceX it was.

SpaceX launched its Starship megarocket for the fourth time ever today (June 6) at 8:50 a.m. EDT (1250 GMT), sending the 400-foot-tall (122 meters) vehicle aloft from its Starbase site near Boca Chica Beach in South Texas atop a thundering pillar of fire.

There were two main goals today: bring Starship's first-stage booster, known as Super Heavy, down for a soft splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico, and achieve a controlled reentry of the 165-foot-tall (50 m) upper stage, called Starship or simply Ship. Both the Super Heavy booster and its Ship appeared to make their water landings, sending spectators at SpaceX's mission control at Starbase into a frenzy of cheers.

On Wednesday, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D-N.Y.) demanded that former President Donald Trump remain under the restrictions of his gag order, even despite the verdict already being reached in his trial.

As the Daily Caller reports, President Trump’s attorney made a request on Tuesday for Judge Juan Merchan to lift the gag order ahead of the former president’s participation in the first presidential debate against Joe Biden, which is set for June 27th.

“Concerns articulated by the government and the Court do not justify restrictions on the First Amendment rights of President Trump,” said the attorney, arguing that the gag order has become irrelevant now that the trial is over. President Trump is entitled to “unrestrained campaign advocacy” with just five months to go until the November election, as well as the right to fight back against insults and accusations leveled against him by Biden and top witnesses in the trial such as Stormy Daniels and Michael Cohen.

But prosecutors have since claimed that the gag order goes beyond the trial itself.

“As the People will explain more fully in our written opposition to defendant’s forthcoming motion, these interests have not abated, and the Court has an obligation to protect the integrity of these proceedings and the fair administration of justice at least through the sentencing hearing and the resolution of any post-trial motion,” said prosecutor Matthew Colangelo in a letter to Merchan. Colangelo was previously a top official in the Biden Administration’s Department of Justice (DOJ) before switching to the Manhattan office to be part of the Trump prosecution.

Webmaster addition: There is no reason to continue the gag order except to prevent more facts about the kangaroo court from coming out!

“After eight months of relentless massacres on Palestinians, Israel has yet to achieve its main objective of destroying the Palestinian resistance. Despite suffering considerable losses, the armed factions’ main infrastructure and leaders appear to be intact, allowing them to recruit and strike back even in areas that the occupation long ago it had “cleared.” Jon Elmer, a contributing editor at The Electronic Intifada, discusses the strength of the Palestinian resistance and why Israel can continue to massacre, but can’t win.”     Why Israel Still Can’t Defeat Gaza’s Guerrilla Fighters   June 3, 2024, 26 minutes

Biden has been facing protests in the form of “uncommitted” votes in the primary election.

If we look at the percentages, they have not cost Biden the nomination, obviously, but several states in the 2020 election would have been flipped with these numbers.

When you consider that Joe Biden is polling much worse now than he was during the 2020 cycle, this has to be a concern for Democrats.

On Biden’s response to Israel, Psaki, who now works for MSNBC, stated, “Clearly the strategy that the United States is implementing at this point is not working to change the behavior of Prime Minister Netanyahu, it is not working to end the war.

“So obviously, something has to change.”

Netanyahu has been adamant that he will not have another cease-fire until Hamas agrees to free all hostages.

He has also stated that the war will not be over until he has completely destroyed Hamas.

The problem for Israel, however, is that Netanyahu needs all the aid that the United States provides. He can posture now, but if Biden threatens to pull military aid, Netanyahu’s hand could be forced.

It's time once again for the debut of a new Star Wars series on Disney+, which means it's also time for Star Wars fans to be horrified and despondent over what Disney has done to their beloved space opera franchise.
