Just Stop Oil activists have defaced Stonehenge the day before the Summer Solstice in an act of vandalism to raise awareness on climate change. As seen in dramatic images from the Unesco World Heritage site in Wiltshire, the stones have been daubed with orange powder paint in what the protest group calls "megalithic action" to demand the UK to drop fossil fuels in a matter of years.

Boeing's Starliner will remain at the International Space Station (ISS) for several more days. NASA and Boeing are now targeting no earlier than June 26 for a return to Earth. The new date was announced by NASA during a teleconference on June 18 and is the latest in a succession of date revisions. Previously, the return had been set for June 22, but managers decided that more time was needed to check out the spacecraft ahead of lengthier stays.

The Social Security program was instituted to help elderly Americans thrive during their retirement years.  Unfortunately, millions upon millions of retired Americans are finding that their monthly Social Security payments are simply not enough as the cost of living spirals out of control.  One recent survey found that a whopping 85 percent of U.S. adults now consider inflation to be one of the most important political issues that we are facing, and seniors are being hit particularly hard.  In fact, a different survey that was just conducted by the Motley Fool discovered that 44 percent of retired Americans are thinking of going back to work because they need more money to survive…

The Biden campaign reportedly created a special task force to reduce the impact of videos that show the president malfunctioning in public. White House aides have become more sensitive about videos of President Joe Biden and have begun to quarrel with their media allies about the coverage of Biden’s age, gaffes, and videos exposing moments of strange confusion. The White House invented the term “cheap fakes” after a video on Sunday showed former President Barack Obama walking Biden off stage after the president appeared to freeze at a fundraiser.

Video streaming platform Rumble published a video this week of former Google vice president of search products Marissa Mayer admitting that Google Search provides rigged search results. Google, which owns Rumble competitor YouTube, "arranges" the results on its search page in such a way as to prioritize the official narrative on a given issue or topic, Mayer said. And in all cases, Google's products are shown at the very top of any search so they will receive the most hits.

Brian Monteith’s article in the Scotsman, highlighted here on Monday, makes a good point. None of our political parties care to talk about lockdowns. None remind us of how fervently they supported masks, social distancing or the Rule of Six. The Tories don’t wish to remember how stringently they enforced futile strictures. Labour and SNP don’t care to recall how they demanded greater restrictions. You could be fined £6,400 for persistently not wearing a mask on a train. Or £10,000 for a birthday party. Remember? They have taken a vow of silence. Including, in the SNP’s case, about the notion of lopping six inches off schoolroom doors to blow the virus away.

Labour was under pressure to ‘come clean’ last night after a bombshell dossier laid out dramatic tax rise plans. The Mail can reveal that proposals put forward by a group of party MPs – whose members include Sir Keir Starmer – suggested six raids to raise £60 billion. These included hiking inheritance and capital gains taxes, imposing a ‘jackpot’ levy on extreme wealth and introducing council tax reforms which could see families’ bills double. The plan also proposed forcing working pensioners to pay National Insurance.

A vivid metaphor for American global geopolitical incompetence is about to float off into the sunset, as the White House is poised to give up on the $230 million Gaza aid pier it built to alleviate an Israel-imposed humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. Disassembly could begin in July, officials told New York Times.

On Monday Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu chastised the White House in a rare video message, calling President Biden's withholding of some defense aid to Israel "inconceivable"

However the White House has hit back, with press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre soon after the provocative statement issuing a rejection of the Israeli leader's narrative. "We genuinely do not know what he’s talking about. We just don’t," she told reporters.

She noted in a Monday afternoon briefing that "there was one particular shipment of munitions that was paused, and you’ve heard us talk about that many times." Jean-Pierre then emphasized, "There are no other pauses — none — no other pauses or holds in place."
