O.J. Simpson died following a cancer battle, his family announced Thursday. He was 76.

"On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer," his family wrote in a post on Simpson's account on X, formerly Twitter.

Simpson, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, passed away while his children and grandchildren surrounded him.

"During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace," the statement added.

Simpson was also acquitted of the brutal 1994 murder of his ex-wife, Nichole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman

The televised trial, which has been deemed the trial of the century, has been subsequently dramatized in TV, movies and documentaries.

In an interview with Univision, President Joe Biden said he will consider taking further executive action on guns and criticized 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump for how he “famously told the NRA that, don’t worry, no one’s going to touch your guns” if Trump won.

Interviewer Enrique Acevedo asked, “[G]un violence remains the number one cause of death for children in America. Latinos have made it a top priority across the country, especially in places like El Paso and Uvalde in Texas. Your administration called on Congress to pass common-sense gun laws, but that’s unlikely to happen in the next few months. If you’re re-elected, would you consider taking further executive action on this issue?”

Biden responded, “Absolutely. Look, I, along with Dianne Feinstein, passed the first limitation on assault weapons and the number of bullets that could be in a rifle. The idea anybody needs 100 rounds in a rifle, in an AR-15, I was out in Uvalde.

Webmaster addition: According to a study published in the Journal of Patient Safety in 2013, it was estimated that between 210,000 and 440,000 patients of all ages die each year in the United States due to preventable medical errors. For children specifically, a study published in Pediatrics in 2019 estimated that around 1 in 100 pediatric inpatients experience preventable harm, with medication errors being a significant contributor. The claim that guns are the leading cause of death for children would only be true if children under 1 are excluded and 18 and 19 year olds are counted as children. The statistics also include suicides.

North Carolina authorities on April 10 reported that cows in the state tested positive for highly pathogenic avian influenza, as the state became the latest to impose restrictions on the movement of cows.

Testing of samples from North Carolina conducted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) came back positive for the influenza, also known as the bird flu and HPAI, the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services said.

“We have spent years developing methods to handle HPAI in poultry, but this is new and we are working with our state and federal partners to develop protocols to handle this situation,” Steve Troxler, the state’s agriculture commissioner, said in a statement.

Tucker Carlson weighed in on the end of democracy in America today.

For the third straight election cycle secretive federal agencies are trying to rig our presidential election.

In fact, did the secretive federal agencies ever stop their attacks on Trump and his supporters since 2016? We know of several pro-Trump groups and individuals who were ruined or who are currently being destroyed by the radical Democrats and their allies in the federal government.

Now they are trying to ruin pro-Trump groups and supporters financially and they have the legacy media to cover for them.

We found our earlier this week that the FBI and CIA are even targeting conservative media outlets like Alex Jones (and Gateway Pundit?) for financial ruin.

Democrats in the House Oversight Committee voted against a bill seeking to add a citizenship question to the U.S. Census.

“HR7109, the Equal Representation Act, does two simple things. First: the bill requires the Census Bureau to include a citizenship question on the decennial census questionnaire,” Rep. James Comer (R-KY) said of the bill. “Second: the bill directs that this information be used to ensure fair representation by requiring only citizens be included in the apportionment base.”

Comer noted in his speech before the oversight committee that the question would be a simple “Yes” or “No” question regarding an individual’s citizenship.

“By requiring this question, the United States government will be able to collect accurate data on the makeup of our population,” he said. “The census bureau currently estimates the non-citizen population using survey data from the census-administered American community survey. But that data is not based on the entire population. It’s only an estimate and suffers a large margin of error.”

Comer noted that the census would not ask people to say their immigration status.

“It’s an easy question and it doesn’t reveal anything about a specific immigration status,” he said.

Government Agencies are illegally soliciting non-citizens to vote and potentially entrapping them.  Government workers who perform these acts are committing felonies.

Joe Hoft previously reported on how Illegals are being registered to vote in Florida.  This is likely the case in many other states.

The path non-citizens who cross our border illegally take to get on voter rolls in Florida is as follows.  There are some loopholes and practices that allow this to happen:

  1. Cross the US border illegally
  2. Get arrested and get immigration court or asylum application paperwork
  3. Use immigration court or asylum application paperwork to get a Florida driver’s license, state ID (per s 322.08), or a social security number
  4. Sign up for Florida food or medical assistance using the same immigration court or asylum paperwork.
  5. An illegal will then receive a solicitation to register to vote in the mail from the government because they signed up for assistance. Just fill out and mail in the voter registration application provided with the solicitation letter (per interpretation of s 97.058). A solicitation letter from The Department of Children and Family Services to a person that appears to be a non-citizen based on a public records search is attached. The Spanish version is what was mailed.
  6. Register to vote using your driver license or social security number.  If you have neither, just check the box for no ID.  No one checks to see if you are a citizen.  They just check to see you checked the box on the application saying you are a citizen (per interpretation of s 98.045).
  7. Vote.  If you get caught plead plausible deniability or entrapment because you were solicited by the government to register to vote.

The Justice Department said Friday it unmasked “inconsistencies” in Fulton County Prosecutor Fani Willis’s use of federal grant funds, confirming whistleblower allegations.

Willis previously fired the whistleblower who alleged the Fulton County office mishandled $488,000 of federal grant money to pay for “swag,” computers, and travel.

“It’s that same grant that the Justice Department’s Office of Justice Programs now says is plagued with reporting discrepancies from Willis’s office,” the Washington Free Beacon’s Andrew Kerr reported Wednesday:

The Justice Department did not provide any further details on the nature of Willis’s reporting “inconsistencies” on the $488,000 federal grant, which was earmarked for the creation of a Center for Youth Empowerment and Gang Prevention in Atlanta. The grant ended in September 2023, but the center never opened.

The Justice Department is coordinating with Willis’s office to fix the grant reporting “inconsistencies” amid an ongoing House Judiciary Committee investigation into Willis’s use of federal grant funds. Committee chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R., Ohio) subpoenaed Willis in early February for records related to the $488,000 federal grant and the whistleblower allegations made by former Willis staffer Amanda Timpson, who was listed as the grant director until the district attorney abruptly fired her in January 2022.

Update(1550ET): Upping the ante, a US official has told Al Jazeera that the Pentagon could intervene militarily if there is an Iranian attack launched against Israel.

According to a translation from Al Jazeera Arabic, the US source said, "We do not rule out launching joint retaliatory strikes with Israel if it is attacked by Iran or its agents."

There was no further elaboration, or an indicator whether a US joint response with Israel would include offensive strikes against Iran, or if this would just be defensive, for example - anti air measures. However, Axios has the following details which appears to confirm the Al Jazeera reporting:

The senior U.S. military commander in charge of the Middle East is expected to go to Israel Thursday to coordinate around a possible attack on Israel by Iran and its proxies, two Israeli officials said.

...The commander of the U.S. military central command (CENTCOM) Gen. Erik Kurilla is expected to meet senior Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) officials and Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant.

On Tuesday, a Florida woman was sentenced to a month in prison and three months of home confinement for stealing and selling the diary of Ashley Biden, President Joe Biden's daughter.

Harris pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge in August 2022, admitting that she received $20,000 of the $40,000 paid by Project Veritas for the diary. And while Veritas elected not to publish the diary, the National File did - revealing that Joe Biden took 'probably not appropriate' showers with Ashley, who also questions whether she was molested, and wrote that she was "Hyper-sexualized @ a young age."

US president Joe Biden on Wednesday vowed that American support for Israel is 'ironclad', amid fears the Middle Eastern nation will soon be attacked by Iran.

'As I told Prime Minister Netanyahu, our commitment to Israel security against these threats from Iran and its proxies is ironclad. Let me say it again: ironclad. We're going to do all we can to protect Israel security,' Biden said at a press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

Biden's top diplomat, Anthony Blinken, affirmed his words and told Israel's defence minister Yoav Gallant on a phone call that the US would stand behind Israel if Iran decides to attack.

An attack by Iran or its proxies against military and government targets in Israel are imminent, Bloomberg News reported citing intelligence sources, with one source saying it is more a matter of when, not if.

Tensions in the Middle East today flared after an Iranian news agency published a report on X saying all airspace over Tehran had been closed for military drills, before quickly removing the post and denying it had ever issued the news.

Three sons of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh were killed in an IAF airstrike in Gaza on Wednesday, an anonymous senior Israeli diplomatic official said, while at the same time there were widespread denials that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and war cabinet minister Benny Gantz knew about the attack.

It was unclear if the later denial was legitimate or if Netanyahu or some other officials may have known about it, but decided afterward that the cost of the attack to the hostage negotiations or with being rebuked by the US was too high to take credit. In general, the IDF has been careful in such situations, especially with hostage talks ongoing, to clear top level of attacks with the political echelon.

The FBI is concerned about the possibility of an organized attack in the United States similar to the one that killed scores at a Russian concert hall last month, the bureau's director plans to tell a House of Representatives panel on Thursday.

“Looking back over my career in law enforcement, I’d be hard pressed to think of a time where so many threats to our public safety and national security were so elevated all at once,” Christopher Wray is set to tell lawmakers during a budget hearing. “But that is the case as I sit here today.”

The March 22 attack on a concert hall in suburban Moscow killed at least 144 people, the deadliest in Russia in 20 years. A branch of the Islamic State militant group claimed responsibility, but Russian President Vladimir Putin, without citing evidence, has sought to blame Ukraine.

During a recent panel discussion sponsored by the Neutrality Studies YouTube channel and The American Committee for US-Russia Accord, the distinguished political scientist John J. Mearsheimer proffered what at first glance might appear to be a radical solution to the crisis in Ukraine.

“I think what has to be done here,” said Mearsheimer, “is that we have to basically sever the West’s security relationship with Ukraine.  It is just not enough to say ‘Ukraine will not become part of NATO.’ We have to completely sever our security relationship with Ukraine so that the Russians feel somewhat secure that the West is not going to surreptitiously try and make Ukraine a de facto member of NATO.”

“Second, we should push Ukraine immediately to start serious negotiations with the Russians, so that they end up only losing the territory that they have already lost.”

Claire's Observations:  Dr. Mearscheimer's proposal is crystal clear, and completely logical; this is why the US will reject it immediately, as it is not infused any of the "hopum/changium" magical thinking which apparently clouds the collective thinking of all in power in DC, and there are some very specific reasons why this complete detachment from reality, or "peace dysphoria"  is happening.

First and foremost, remember;  this is an election year, and traditionally, US voters have never voted out the party in power, during a war.

Secondly, after Biden's  catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan, the" By-di-Bidenistas" do NOT want to appear to lose the war in Ukraine, which is why the Demonocrats are screaming for the Ukrainian aid package be passed, and Republicans are (at least appearing to) be adamantly against it.), with Demos making up all sorts of wild threats that "the rest of Europe is next", if Ukraine falls. This, friends, is utter nonsense. Please be neither fooled nor swayed by this.

But as an American taxpayer and citizen, I would definitely like to see the following, as would most of my American brothers and sisters;  a full accounting of EVERY cent, and every bomb and bullet sent to Ukraine so far?!?  And there is one question I want to have answered by our DOD; why have so many American weapons, ostensibly sent to Ukraine for their war, wound up on the dark net for sale?!?

"Full disclaimer, I definitely paid off my car, I paid my registration," she says.

Joanne is planning to file a police report soon and is sharing their story to raise awareness for other drivers.

"Be more careful when they're driving around and making sure if something doesn't look right, make sure you do your best to protect yourself," she shares.

Doctors have issued an emergency alert after seeing a sharp increase in Covid mRNA vaccinated couples dying simultaneously shortly after a “dual turbo cancer diagnosis.”

The couple were all vaccinated at the same time and were later diagnosed with deadly cancers together.

Many doctors are warning that while their patients seem relatively healthy when they are diagnosed with cancer, most are dead within a week.

They warn that the rapid onset of the turbo cancers means the suffers are virtually “dropping dead.”

Doctors have drawn attention to several cases of “dual turbo cancer” diagnoses in the hope of raising awareness among the public.

Authored by Jane L. Johnson via The Mises Institute,

Utility bills - for electricity, natural gas, water, and garbage - have by long-standing tradition been based on customer usage, measured in kilowatt-hours of electricity, therms or Btu of natural gas, hundred cubic feet of water, or number of garbage cans.

Every residence and business has electric, gas, and water meters that measure utility usage.

But changes are afoot in the utility business as federal and state governments urge Americans to convert from fossil fuels to electricity for home heating, appliances, and transportation. From this transition will undoubtedly follow changes in utility rate-setting models.

Fixed Fees Coupled with Usage-Based Electricity Rates

Some electric utilities currently charge customers a flat, fixed fee as well as usage-based charges, both on the same monthly bill. The fixed fees, often called “customer charges” or “meter-reading charges,” are imposed irrespective of energy usage. These fees assure revenue stability and offset the overhead expenses of running electric utilities. Energy usage-based charges, which can vary seasonally, are designed (and regulated) to recover the cost of the electricity sold.

Economists refer to this pricing strategy as a two-part tariff in which the consumer must pay a fixed fee for the right to buy a product or service (energy in the case of electric utilities). This pricing model effectively maximizes revenue for sellers that have some monopoly pricing power in their respective markets because of the way they have structured their businesses. Electric utilities are, of course, regulated monopolies that serve designated geographic areas

Claire's Observations:  As a native Californian who, with her husband ,fled the state when it was beginning to lose its collective mind,  what if resourceful Californians go "off grid" in a way that they use no energy from the state?!? How hard is the state going to punish them for doing so, send them to a "Climate-denier prison"?!?  Or fine the hell out of them, until they comply?!? It will be amusing indeed to see California's path of "climate retribution" against these people!!

And apparently, those "Sacramento Sages" who run the state are tone-deaf to the reality that the state song has changed from "California, Here I Come" to the Theme Song from "Exodus!! :-)

Crime in Germany has exploded to levels not seen in close to a decade, with a huge increase in migrants committing offences, especially violent crimes.

Statistics from the German Interior Ministry released on Tuesday show that the number of foreign suspects rocketed up to around 923,000 in 2023, correlating to a whopping 18 percent increase in just one year.

The data further shows that 41 percent of all crime suspects in Germany are foreigners, despite only representing 15 percent of the total population.

Overall there has been a massive 14.5% increase in the number of non-German suspects of violent crime.
