1 dead after NC grandfather fires back at trio in attempted rape of teen granddaughter, sheriff says

A grandfather shot back and is believed to have killed a suspect in a home-invasion and attempted rape of his teen granddaughter on Monday night, Robeson County Sheriff's officials said.

The grandfather was also shot – but he also managed to shoot the 2 other suspects in the home-invasion and attempted rape, said Maj. Anthony Thompson with the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.

The incident started around 10 pm at a house on Yedda Road in Lumberton on Monday night when someone knocked on the home of the grandfather, his wife and their 19-year-old granddaughter, according to the sheriff's office.

New UK Gun Policy Should Be A Warning To American Gun Owners

BELLEVUE, WA – -(Ammoland.com)- A new policy announced by the British Home Office recently to allow unannounced searches of the homes of registered British gun owners should raise alarms among Americans who are threatened with increasingly restrictive gun laws pushed by wealthy anti-gunners including billionaire Michael Bloomberg, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today.

“This is an alarming development in Great Britain,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb, “and it ought to serve as a warning to American gun owners and Constitutional activists concerned not only with their Second Amendment rights but also their Fourth Amendment rights. In Washington state, where CCRKBA is headquartered, there have already been attempts to include such language in so-called ‘assault weapons’ ban legislation.

Over 30,000 on New York mental health list show rights and real dangers ignored

Approximately 34,500 New Yorkers are “too mentally unstable to carry firearms,” Anemona Hartocollis of The New York Times reported Sunday. The report looks at figures from a database established via the “SAFE Act” by the state Division of Criminal Justice Services, obtained by The Times through a Freedom of Information Act request.

What the database cannot do, the report acknowledges, is determine if the names on it represent people who are truly a danger to themselves or others, highlighting the rift between gun rights defenders and supporters of stricter controls. Those arguing on the side of rights point out the unfairness of preemptively denying them without adjudication to those who have not been proven a danger, while those with an agenda for wider citizen disarmament advocate “Even if just one dangerous person had a gun taken away, ‘that’s a good thing.’

Students Reprimanded for Handing Out U.S. Constitutions Outside “Free Speech Zone”

Last week, four students at Southern Oregon University were told by administrators that they must stop handing out copies of the United States Constitution on campus, or else the Police would be called, and disciplinary action would taken against them.

The administrators confronted the students, who were affiliated with Students for Concealed Carry, and reprimanded them, due to the fact that they were handing out literature, in an area that was outside of the university’s designated “Free Speech Zone.”

Students for Concealed Carry (SCC) is a nonpartisan student organization that promotes students’ rights to carry concealed weapons on campus. One member of the group, Stephanie Keaveney, told Campus Reform that administrators alleged that the four representatives from SCC had caused an “immediate panic for the safety of students in the face of gun violence, or the promotion of such.”

U.N. Arms Treaty – An Attempt to Disarm America

Gun-control liberals have chosen an odd time to be foisting their misguided agenda on the American public. Consider the following facts about life in America. Felonious incidents such as assault and battery, car-napping, murder, abductions, robberies, school shootings, workplace violence, road rage, and home invasions are occurring at unprecedented levels. In fact, crime is up in most categories, except, that is, in communities where law-abiding citizens have legally armed themselves. In an Oklahoma company one employee was beheaded by a discontented Muslim extremist, but the lives of other employees were saved because a manager in the company was armed and took quick action. Although the mainstream media does much to cover up incidents in which lives are saved by armed Americans, this kind of thing happens all the time, and Americans know it. Consequently, citizens of all stripes—men and women, Democrats and Republicans—are arming themselves.

Honor student who brought pocketknife to school suspended for the year

The Dearborn Heights District 7 Board of Education chose a less severe punishment for the honor student who was initially expelled after a pocketknife was found in her purse at a football game.

On Monday, after two hours of deliberation, the board voted 6-0 to allow Atiya Haynes to take online classes. She then will be able to graduate with her class in 2015.

The decision still came as a blow to college-bound Haynes, who participated in numerous extracurricular activities including sports.

School officials discovered the knife as she was exiting a bathroom at the game when they searched her purse.

Haynes says the pocketknife was a gift from her grandfather who gave it to her for protection because her summer job required her to ride her bike from southwest Detroit to Dearborn.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So the "educators" are going to wreck this kid's life over a self-defense weapon? Was she a hardened criminal with a record of violent behavior? On what grounds did they presume to search her purse?

I would like to remind everyone that the Second Amendment reads "The right to keep and bear arms." It does NOT say "The right to keep and bear firearms." The Second Amendment reserves the right to the American people to keep and bear not only guns, but knives, swords, spears, or anything else. The United States Supreme Court ruled in United States versus Miller that the Second Amendment specifically refers to arms as carried by the uniformed military, and the uniformed military do carry knives!

Government watchdog Judicial Watch has sued the City of Phoenix Police Department over documents surrounding a 2013 gang-style assault on an apartment complex. When the incident occurred and during investigation afterward, police worked with federal law enforcement agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Department of Homeland Security, FBI and Drug Enforcement Agency in the case, raising suspicions the assault wasn't simply a typical, local gang shootout and prompted questions about the details of the people involved in the shooting in addition to where the weapons that were used came from. .

New York City’s Village Voice Newspaper Slams City’s 60,000 Gravity Knife Prosecution

Journalist Jon Campbell’s in-depth research provides an informative historical perspective. Following the travails of some citizens caught up in this absurd enforcement, his gripping narrative also personalizes the unfortunate and serious impact the City’s irrational and unconstitutional enforcement has had on citizens arrested and prosecuted for simply carrying a common folding knife.

One of the most shocking revelations in this article confirms Knife Rights’ longstanding position that tens of thousands of citizens have been victimized by the City’s outrageous enforcement practices. In the first estimate by an independent organization it reports that, “Village Voice analysis of data from several sources suggests there have been as many as 60,000 gravity-knife prosecutions over the past decade, and that the rate has more than doubled in that time. If those estimates are correct, it’s enough to place gravity-knife offenses among the top 10 most prosecuted crimes in New York City.”

3D printer for creating untraceable AR-15 rifles hits market

The US does allow for creating a firearm from parts or kits, according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), which states: “[An] unlicensed individual may make a 'firearm' as defined in the GCA for his own personal use, but not for sale or distribution.”

As a way to get around that law, manufacturers can make a semi-finished lower receiver that “isn’t technically a gun, but gets as close to the line as possible,” Ars Technica reported. The metal piece is usually 80 percent finished, and can be purchased from a variety of companies. The Ghost Gunner machine will finish the lower receiver, and then customers can purchase the rest of the AR-15 parts online, without being subjected to waiting periods or background checks.

South Australian Judge Wants Total Gun Ban

SOUTH Australia needs a blanket ban on gun ownership in metropolitan areas to save lives and improve public safety, a respected senior SA judge has declared.

In a move that will ignite debate on gun laws, Supreme Court Justice Michael David said the issue of “gun availability’’ had been a recurring theme in a significant number of cases he had presided over during his 18 years on the District and Supreme Court benches.

He believes removing them from the community would prevent a significant number of domestic shootings.

“My view is I think our guns laws are pretty tight, they are not too bad. But my view on guns is not confined to that,’’ he said.

“In my view, and it is a fairly utopian view, I can’t see why anyone in this city should own a gun. I think a gun with a licence is just as dangerous as a gun without a licence.

Reference material for the conference suggests that “voluntary approaches to restricting use of lead ammunition” do not work on a national level and for a proposed ban to work, a “range of societal issues” would need to be addressed, including “philosophical issues regarding gun rights and increased government oversight of shooting.”

D.C. seeks stay in order striking down ban on handguns in public

In light of Supreme Court decisions that struck down near total bans on handguns in the District and Chicago in recent years, “there is no longer any basis on which this Court can conclude that the District of Columbia’s total ban on the public carrying of ready-to-use handguns outside the home is constitutional under any level of scrutiny,” Judge Scullin wrote in the opinion dated Thursday.

The ruling, five years after the original case was filed, took city officials by surprise and sent police, politicians and attorneys scrambling for a response.

The District’s attorney general’s office was “studying the ruling and considering our options,” spokesman Ted Gest said. In the meantime, city attorneys will seek to block the ruling from taking immediate effect.

DC ban on carrying handguns is unconstitutional, federal judge says

In a landmark gun control case, a federal judge in Washington DC has overturned the city’s total ban on carrying handguns outside the home, saying it is unconstitutional.

"There is no longer any basis on which this Court can conclude that the District of Columbia's total ban on the public carrying of ready-to-use handguns outside the home is constitutional under any level of scrutiny," Judge Frederick Scullin said.

"Therefore, the Court finds that the District of Columbia's complete ban on the carrying of handguns in public is unconstitutional," Scullin added in his 19-page ruling.

The ruling was made in the PALMER et al v. DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA et al case.

The court order now allows both city residents and non-residents to carry handguns outside their homes.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Okay, what if we start banning BULLETS? Will THAT work? There are people who do not like politicians, or even me (although I cannot fathom why that might be the case), and we have a right to protection, same as Israel. Say, THERE'S an idea! How about we build this enclave out in the western desert with a 25 foot wall around it, and put every American who is not in the ruling class inside it! Then we can BOMB THEM WHENEVER WE WANT (and claim it is self defense)!!!" -- Official White Horse Souse

Burlington, IA City Council Out of Control!

Recently the City Council had the ‘first reading’ of a new proposed town ordinance that would make it a criminal offense to let your children or grandchildren play with these toy guns and BB guns in certain settings without obtaining WRITTEN permission from the City Council first.

This ordinance even bans your children from playing with toy guns in the backseat of the car while you drive – without permission from Mayor McCampbell and the council.

Can you imagine writing that? “Dear Mayor McCampbell – can my 5 year old play with his new toy gun when we drive through town tomorrow on our way to Grandma’s house?”

But that’s not all - if you are convicted of this “crime” you could face a fine in excess of $500 and/or a 30 day stint in jail!

Colorado Gun Ban Stopped by Recall Aftershocks

After the immense amount of Bloomberg money, old media airtime and Obama administration political capital was spent on enacting restrictive gun legislation in Colorado last year, the electorate rebelled. Grassroots campaigns led by people who had never been involved in politics beat the establishment. Two legislators were recalled. A third, thought to be in a safe Democratic district, resigned under pressure in order to save the Democrat majority in the State Senate. The political establishment was shaken and aftershocks continue to reverberate . . .

Father shoots dead armed robbers using his teenage daughter as human shield during home invasion

A teenage girl was used as a human shield by two masked, armed men who tried to forced their way into her home on Monday.

The 17-year-old had been fetching items from her car outside her home in St Louis, Missouri around 11pm when the two men grabbed her, put a gun to her head and forced her up to the front door as a human shield.

The girl's father, 34, saw the men approaching with his teen daughter and grabbed his own gun to fire shots at them from the home where a five-year-old boy was also present.

The father shot and killed one robber and wounded the second man as they came through the front door.

Leaked Democrat Document Explains How to Use Tragedies to Push Gun Control

What is the best way to push gun control? According to a newly leaked document that gives Democrats advice on that very subject, national tragedies are the answer.

The document, “Preventing Gun Violence Through Effective Messaging,” is more than 70 pages long and was created by a group of Washington, D.C., consultants who did research for a Washington state gun-control advocates. It was written in 2012 before the Sandy Hook shooting tragedy.

The document states that "The most powerful time to communicate is when concern and emotions are running at their peak ... The debate over gun violence in America is periodically punctuated by high-profile gun violence incidents including Columbine, Virginia Tech, Tucson, the Trayvon Martin killing, Aurora and Oak Creek. When an incident such as these attracts sustained media attention, it creates a unique climate for our communications efforts.”

Possibly The Biggest Anti-Gun Lunacy of the Year!

This story makes five important points:

•The person who saved the victim’s life was a civilian with a Concealed Carry Permit.
•The person who held the suspect at gunpoint until the police arrived was that civilian.
•Dispels opinions that permit holders are trigger-happy gun-nuts who can’t wait to shoot.
•Dispels thoughts that victims should count on the police to be there when they need them.
•Concealed Permit Holders should not be barred from businesses with their guns.

Happy ending, right? Not quite! Here comes the lunacy.

It has just been confirmed that Keith’s Superstore has posted a “No Guns” signs on their front doors. The picture of their entry doors is below.

Keeping a Lid on "it"

Crooks don't lack guts they lack morals. This brings us to the definition of morals.

I think my morals are good morals. They are most aptly defined in the U.S. Bill of Rights backed up by the Declaration of Independence.

Only fools and the Jews of World War Two era give up their guns and get sent to camps by people with the guts to (unjustly) use their own guns to subdue the cowed and cowardly masses.

How did the masses get so cowardly?

They were and are presently being taught to be cowards by the mainstream media and forces that dictate the effluence of "our" government.

The fact is that "our" governments job is to protect the rights of EVERY CITIZEN REGARDLESS OF ANYTHING. The definition of "RIGHTS" is spelled out in the Bill of Rights.

Simple.

My enemies are simply those who choose to be enemies of the Bill of Rights.

Hillary Clinton: We can’t let gun-loving minority ‘terrorize’ the rest of the country

“We cannot let a minority of people — and that’s what it is, a minority of people — hold a viewpoint that terrorizes the majority of people,” Clinton said in response to a question during a town hall forum.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Oh Hillary, Hillary, Hillary...

First off, 80% of Americans own a firearm. So, we are not dealing with a minority.

Second, the vast majority of gun owners try very hard not to terrorize anyone. IN fact if you go into any gun store you will find that as a class, gun owners tend to be more polite and respectful of other peoples' rights.

Are there some people who use guns for ill intent? Yes there are, just as there are people who use cars, knives, baseball bats, and machetes for ill intent. But we do not take cars, knives, baseball bats, and machetes away from all the law-abiding citizens based on the actions of just a few, do we? That would be like saying all men should be castrated because Bill Clinton couldn't keep his hands off of other women!

Reality Check: Guns Sales Up, Crimes Committed With Guns Down

Earlier this week, Michael Bloomberg's new anti-gun Everytown released a bogus report claiming since Newtown in December 2013, 74 school shootings have taken place. The report was so bogus, even CNN went out of the way, twice, to correct the record. More from Ed Morrissey:

For the second time in two days, CNN went out of its way to debunk the Michael Bloomberg/Barack Obama claim that mass shootings have become epidemic and a “new normal” in American society. The day after CNN debunked the Bloomberg-funded Everytown claim that there were 74 Newtown-style mass shootings since Sandy Hook, Jake Tapper interviewed Northeastern University criminology professor James Alan Fox to look at the data rather than the anecdotes. Over a 40-year period, Fox concluded, mass shootings have remained flat — even while the population of the country has grown significantly over the same period.

Revealing New Statistics Seem to Debunk Key Claim Made by Gun Control Advocates

Gun homicides have dropped steeply in the United States since their peak in 1993, a pair of reports released Tuesday showed, adding fuel to Congress’ battle over whether to tighten restrictions on firearms. The findings throw cold water on one of the main arguments made by gun control advocates, that more firearms regulations are needed because gun violence is spiraling out of control.

Obama praises ‘very severe’ gun confiscation program of Australia

President Barack Obama said in a recent address that he’s become ‘frustrated’ with America’s lack of movement toward civilian disarmament. As police in the USA become increasingly militarized (with Obama’s help), the president is using crime as an emotional tool to soften Americans toward gun control. Surrounded by heavily armed body guards, Obama said on June 10th:

Couple of decades ago, Australia had a mass shooting, similar to Columbine or Newtown. And Australia just said, well, that’s it, we’re not doing, we’re not seeing that again, and basically imposed very severe, tough gun laws, and they haven’t had a mass shooting since.

Our levels of gun violence are off the charts. There’s no advanced, developed country that would put up with this.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A memo to President Obama; this is a lousy attempt at misdirection, sir. In virtually all of these cases, the perps were either on - or weaning themselves away from - SSRI medications.

OF course, that is something you, or members of Congress, don't want to touch with a ten foot pole, because of how "generous" big pharma is to those support the industry, and allow the creation of medications which can cripple - and literally, kill - people who are taking them, and others as well.

And as to the statement that "There’s no advanced, developed country that would put up with this." Sir, forgive me,what were you thinking when you made that statement?!?!? Did your alleged fact checkers blink and miss the Swiss example, or did you just not know?!?

Gun politics in Switzerland are unique in Europe. The vast majority of men between the ages of 20 and 30 are conscripted into the militia and undergo military training, including weapons training. The personal weapons of the militia are kept at home as part of the military obligations; Switzerland thus has one of the highest gun ownership rates in the world.[1] In recent times a minority of political opposition has expressed a desire for tighter gun regulations.[2] A referendum in February 2011 rejected stricter gun control.[3]

White House: Obama Prepared To Act ‘Unilaterally’ Again Using ‘Executive Authority’ On Guns

President Barack Obama is looking for new ways to act “administratively, unilaterally using his executive authority” to enact new gun control legislation, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said during a press conference Tuesday.

The official was responding to a journalist’s questions about the President’s reaction to news of a shooting that occurred at an Oregon high school. Two people were killed, including the shooter.

While the President is looking for ways to implement his gun control agenda unilaterally, Earnest stressed that the Administration would also like to see legislative action to increase gun control.

“The President’s goal is to look for opportunities to act administratively, unilaterally using his executive authority to try to make our communities safer,” Earnest said. “We’re always looking for those opportunities. But none of those opportunities when they present themselves is going to be an acceptable substitute for robust legislative action.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: this is not about safety, in any way, shape, or form: this gun grab, should President Obama get away with it, is prelude to a gold grab, to rob every individual holding gold or other precious metal, and turn it over to a morally, and fiscally bankrupt administration, in exchange for prettily printed pieces of paper, worth absolutely nothing.

Father loses gun license and rifle after showing permit to principal

The story began June 4, 2014, when Goodwin was called to meet with the principal over a picture that Goodwin’s son drew of the character Gru, from the movie Despicable Me. The picture depicted Gru shooting ping pong balls at his Minions. For reasons that defy logic, this picture was considered offensive and (WTF!) sexually explicit.

Goodwin argued his point about guns saying that he was a gun owner, and showed Hanna his gun permit. That was when Hanna turned into a complete pussy, and the police were called in. Goodwin was not arrested, but is not allowed on school grounds unless he is dropping off or picking up his son. The police also added insult to injury by seizing Goodwin’s guns and permit.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, the principal calls in the father to complain about the kid drawing a picture of a cartoon character shooting ping pong balls at other cartoon characters, and when the father documents that he is a safe and legal gun owner and sees nothing wrong with the picture, the Principal calls the cops and has his guns seized?

Either that principal is a totally limp-dick pussy afraid of his own shadow, or there is an anti-gun agenda being imposed on the entire education system!

It looks like DHS isn’t the only ammunition hog in the United States

James Smith, Contributor
Activist Post

There are two stories that have come to light recently, the first is the awarding of a contract to a munitions manufacturer for 450,000,000 hollow point rounds for the .40 caliber.

The second story which I wrote is how the Department of Homeland Security had already ordered 200,000,000 rounds of .40 caliber, but also ordered 15,000 gun cleaning kits for the .40 caliber weapons, and has put a request out for a virtual shooting gallery for the .40 caliber handguns.

650,000,000 round of ammunition is quite a bit of lead and brass. It will sure to drive the price of copper and brass way up. But Homeland Security is not alone in their requests.
