We all experience frustration when attempting to gain the support of well-meaning friends loyal to Obama. "I told you so" comments, along with any facts they feel to be personal attacks on the carefully created image they hold, arouse immediate hostility.
It is incredible to see Obama lovers, no matter how bright they are, burying their heads in the sand and refusing to face reality. Justin Raimondo has a typically brilliant current analysis of this
phenomenon at antiwar.com but it isn't sufficient for us to merely understand these people.
I have crafted the following letter and sent it to many of my own friends. Perhaps others experiencing this same frustration will
find it useful:

Dear (Friend),
If there remains any hope for at least a partial restoration of America's prior legal, moral, and civil framework, those who championed and voted for Obama must have the courage to organize and speak out even more actively than they did in days prior to the presidential election.
You predate me.. errr as far as Ranch Runnamucko is concerned.. but if you have been following the site.. You should be able to post some great articles and comments..
I am looking forward to them.
Dr. Paul and his fellow libertarians offer Republicans and Americans a real alternative to the dumbed-down Republicans and to the wildly spending Democrats whose expanded Afghanistan war and reckless economic policies are leading the nation into growing danger.
