I spent last year in Afghanistan, visiting and talking with U.S. troops and their Afghan partners. My duties with the Army’s Rapid Equipping Force took me into every significant area where our soldiers engage the enemy. Over the course of 12 months, I covered more than 9,000 miles and talked, traveled and patrolled with troops in Kandahar, Kunar, Ghazni, Khost, Paktika, Kunduz, Balkh, Nangarhar and other provinces.

What I saw bore no resemblance to rosy official statements by U.S. military leaders about conditions on the ground.

“Democracy promotion” and regime change in the Middle East

Despite promises the 2012 NDAA did not apply to military operations on U.S. soil or against American Citizens, a massive military drone deployment into U.S airspace is being planned.

“Some Americans believe if the Israelis strike Iran, the U.S. will pay the political costs anyway, so it would be better for the Americans to do the job and do it properly. Their clock is a bit different from the one the Israelis hear. Because of their vastly superior firepower, the Americans could strike Iran later, more devastatingly and more sustainably.”

Circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation.

The U.S. is touted as having a great democracy. Everything good–either real or imagined—is supposedly due to their principles of democracy. Seldom do American politicians or members of the public define or clarify what those principles include.

America’s founding fathers, who were familiar with the democracies of the classical Greeks, distrusted democracy.

How can it be a democracy when shadowy figures control events?

Anyone unmoved by that isn’t human. No one could write it who didn’t experience war’s horrors firsthand, and scream Say NO! Say NO! No More.

Written almost 65 years ago, wars rage daily. Millions more lives expired. Perhaps no one will listen to other Borcherts until no one’s left to hear, if “You do not say NO” now.

Real news today is that we just quit the war in Afghanistan with no notice at all. We cut combat operations to nothing, and are moving to the exits in total violation of our stated policies.

The United States has made the surprise announcement that it will end combat operations in Afghanistan earlier than expected. Many believe the Obama Administration has finally given in to political pressure ahead of this year's presidential election.

United States is using illegal weaponry - particularly depleted uranium - during its wars in the Middle East.

An Afghan activist reveals the US is still using horrific depleted uranium weapons in Afghanistan, creating graveyards of people who die of cancer and other unusual diseases, Press TV reports.

"These weapons are still used. In fact, a US aircraft called A-10 warthog, normally, even if it doesn't use a uranium projectile in the machine gun, every third projectile is a uranium projectile and that's the working horse of the US army in Afghanistan. They use it left and right," Dr. Mohammad Daud Miraki said in an interview with Press TV.

Defence Secretary Leon Panetta laid out the administration's most explicit portrayal of the US drawdown in Afghanistan, saying on Wednesday that US and other international forces in Afghanistan expect to end their combat role in 2013 and continue a training and advisory role with Afghan forces through 2014.

“Afghan civilians frequently prefer Taliban governance over GIRoA [the Afghan government], usually as a result of government corruption, ethnic bias and lack of connection with local religious and tribal leaders”.

That is a direct quote from a NATO report. This blog has been telling you for six years that the Afghan government rigged its elections, is enormously corrupt, full of warlords and deeply implicated in the heroin trade. That the “Afghan army” is a tribal construct based on the Northern Alliance, and channels weapons to warlords. That no development is really happening. That the government of Afghanistan is comprised of individuals who make money from war and have no interest in peace.

The information in the report comes from interrogations of 4000 arrested Taliban fighters and terrorists. It states that the fighters are often hiding out in areas where NATO soldiers are stationed. As soon as they leave, the Taliban take over, assisted by the Afghan army and police.
According to the report the Taliban are convinced that after the departure of the US-led international force in Afghanistan they will come back to power again.

Active support:
According to the NATO report the influence of the Taliban grows in areas when soldiers of the NATO peacekeeping force ISAF leave. Then, Afghan security forces make no effort to stop the Taliban. In some cases, the Taliban have the active support of the Afghan army and police, the report said.

Since September 11, 2001, over two million Soldiers have been deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, with the exception of the U.S. Army Reserve’s Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) units.

The last time a U.S. Army Reserve MEDEVAC deployed was in 1991 during the first Gulf War. Now the MEDEVACs have been deployed in Afghanistan.

And thus began a year-and-a-half journey in my spare time to find out the truth and source of the idea of Separation of Church and State, as well as interviews with half a dozen different religious groups in the area about what and why they believed what they do. The story quickly became as much about what we believe about God as what we believe about the Founders of the United States -- and how we evaluate truth itself.

When I was given a DVD of a protest rally in the small town of King, near where I live, I was shocked by the sight of five thousand people waving Christian Flags and cheering one of the speakers when he said that everyone there should "encourage" those who weren't Christian in the area to move somewhere else.

My first reaction was anger and I told my wife, Susan, we were going to put our house up for sale the next day and move somewhere more tolerant. But the next morning, I decided that I would do something else first. I took my video camera down to the Veteran's Memorial in King's Public Park and started interviewing people.

I learned that the rally had been ignited by a returning Afghanistan Veteran who threatened to sue the town if they didn't remove the Christian Flag from the public Veteran's Memorial.

I was surprised that most residents believed that Separation of Church and State is a myth and that the Founders intended this to be an officially Christian Nation. They quoted so many historical facts from a man named David Barton to back up their claims, that I really wondered if what I'd taken for granted might be incorrect.

Dana Loesch, a CNN contributor, made a statement on her radio show that she would "drop trou and do it too." The act she was talking about was joining US Marines to urinate on dead Afghans. Earlier this week a video of US Marines urinating on dead Afghans went viral and caused pandemonium. Most people condemn the actions of the Marines while others applaud their brutal actions. Rick Sanchez, journalist, author and former CNN host, joins us for more.

According to recent polls, Americans have fallen out of favor with our numerous wars in countries we neither know nor can spell: Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Libya, Palestine and Syria.

This article in “Foreign Policy” describes one of Israel’s recent “false flag” operations. A series of CIA memos describes how Israeli Mossad agents posed as American spies to recruit members of the terrorist organization Jundallah to fight their covert war against Iran. This type of “false flag” operation was not directed against the US, but it could provide a model to bring about a US/Iran war. If Iranians could be made to think that the US was behind extreme terrorist attacks in their country, this could force the Iranian government to take belligerent action against the US that would mean war. US government “leadership” violates all Americans by constantly violating war law won by our families through two world wars. The US was the primary author of current war law, bound by treaty and Constitutional Law under Article 6 as the US’ supreme law. War law states a nation can use their military on other nations only if that nation’s government attacks.

Afghanistan and Iraq’s government did not attack the US on 9/11. Under law and to serve the purpose of the law to protect the world from the “scourge of war,” the UN Security Council quickly aligned for international cooperation for factual discovery and arrests of suspects. Afghanistan agreed.

A video of what appears to be four US marines standing over three dead Afghans has surfaced on the Internet. In the footage, the four US servicemen are mocking the dead and peeing on their bodies. Many believe these actions will cause an uproar in the international community. The US Marine Corp has launched an investigation.

An eye-opening video clip that made it online Wednesday may cause a scandal on par with what erupted with the Abu Ghraib photographs of 2004. Now US Marines have been caught on film - urinating on dead Afghans.

A 40-second excerpt of the clip has managed to made its web to the Web and in it viewers can watch four US Marines on patrol in Afghanistan allegedly urinating on the corpses of deceased Afghan men. It is unclear of the victims’ identities in this incident, but according to a note included with the uploaded file, the US servicemen were members of the Marine Scout Sniper Team 4 and the 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines from Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The group was dispatched to the northern Helmand Province in Afghanistan during the summer of 2011.

Marc Grossman, a US diplomat for Afghanistan and Pakistan, is expected to meet with the Afghan president in Kabul next week to confirm he would agree to the new talks, the official said.

“If Karzai were to tell [the Obama administration] to go ahead, then we’d start talking again,” the unnamed official told The Washington Post.

The Taliban is reluctant to negotiate directly with the Afghan government, and would prefer a deal to be brokered through the US, the official said.

Afghanistan's police have detained two British nationals carrying explosive devices to the capital city of Kabul, officials say.

I think most would agree that without the U.S. government altering its stance vis-à-vis Israel that there is little hope for justice in Palestine. The only conceivable way of the U.S. undertaking a volte-face vis-à-vis Israel is if a sufficient proportion of the citizens of the U.S. become conscious of a) the extent to which Israel and its affluent supporters are distorting U.S. Middle East policy as well as b) the extent to which such pro-Israel forces lack any respect for the U.S. taxpayer.

“Who’s going to object to referring to the Sunni insurgency in post-war Iraq as yet another attack by al-Qaeda?”

The American military and the so called coalition forces raided Iraq in 2003 in a search for the alleged presence of military training camps for the so called al-Qaeda and hidden depots packed with tons of weapons of mass destruction(WMD).

Neither was found … Nevertheless the American & coalition troops dragged their feet before they finally left Iraq.
