these people need to go!!!!!!!

This is the form letter I got from Wyden's office re the Gaza Flotilla.. "Dear Mr. Pittman: Thank you for contacting me about Israel’s arms blockade of Gaza and the flotilla incident. I appreciate hearing from you on this important issue. As you may know, Israel has imposed an arms blockade on Gaza since the terrorist organization Hamas seized control of the territory in 2007. For the past several years, this blockade has permitted basic humanitarian goods to enter Gaza while significantly hindering the ability of countries like Iran to arm militants there. In May 2010, the pro-Hamas Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) organized a six-ship flotilla to try to break the blockade. Israel urged the flotilla to unload its cargo and offered to deliver their supplies to Gaza. When the flotilla refused, Israeli naval commandos boarded the ships and took control of five without incident. On the sixth ship, armed individuals attacked the commandos, and the confrontation resulted in the death of 8 Turks and a Turkish-American. I am deeply saddened by this loss of life. I believe this tragic incident only underscores the need for a comprehensive peace agreement between the Israelis and Palestinians. I am also disappointed that the IHH needlessly precipitated this confrontation by rejecting Israel’s efforts to ensure that humanitarian cargo reached Gaza while allowing inspection for contraband and explosives. I hope that well-meaning folks on both sides of this issue will now rededicate themselves to the cause of peace and mutual prosperity. I am pleased that the Israeli government announced its intention to promptly carry out a thorough investigation of the flotilla incident and that it would allow additional types of supplies to reach Gaza. I hope that the Hamas leadership will respond with positive steps, such as by renouncing the use of terror as a weapon, acknowledging Israel’s right to exist, and honoring the agreements that previous Palestinian governments signed. While I know that a lasting peace in the region will not come about overnight, please know that I remain optimistic and committed to seeing it through. Again, thank you for keeping me apprised of issues that are important to you. If I can be of further assistance in the future, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Ron Wyden United States Senator
