Rand Paul posts cartoon graveyard tribute on Memorial Day to go with his clownish campaign

Presidential hopeful Randy Paul has posted a message and video via social media urging the public to "Let us never forget the brave men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice in defense of liberty." Rand couldn't even go to the trouble of going to an actual veteran's graveyard, but rather did a voiceover version of a literal cartoon cemetery on a youtube video. Those who didn't ignore Rand's pathetic attempt were critical of it.

A Poem On War

Beyond the count of years I walked the world,

and my children built their shrines to me.

Decades and centuries and millennia pass,

and still the shrines are built.

Temples insubstantial to men,

clear to my eyes.

No foundations or walls or roofs,

but shrines nonetheless.

Holy ground, consecrated

Today, every day, somewhere in the world,

the earth is prepared for my coming.

My hallowed grounds are everywhere.

In valleys and on mountains,

on broad plains and deep in hidden passes,

in deserts, on city streets.

Nameless, unremembered places.

VETERANS' DAY - WALTER LEWIS SMITH

Here is one veteran; not a glyph on a wall, but a man with a name, a face, and a history. To his friends and family he was a real human being, even though to the War Department he was just another statistic.

But as I think back on him, I know for a fact that he and the millions of others who served in all the various wars the United States became entangled in would be shocked and saddened to see that the government for which they sacrificed so much has become the very embodiment of all that they fought so hard against. No more First Amendment, warrantless spying on Americans, show trials, confessions extracted by torture, workers looted to enrich Wall Street criminals, protesters beaten and shot; for this Walter gave up a lung?

Memorial Day Meditation: Obama Creating A New “Hollow Army”—But Many Servicemen Still Want To Defend The Southern Border

When I was deployed in Afghanistan in the late 2000s, I served with several reservists whose full-time job back in the U.S. was law enforcement. They had all also served in Iraq, and they were generally hawkish. But almost all of them would regularly say that the U.S. military belongs, not in the Middle East, but on our southern border.

Philippines seeks stronger commitment from U.S. in South China Sea dispute

The Philippines is seeking a "stronger commitment" from the United States to help its ally, the defense minister said on Monday, as China asserts its sovereignty over disputed areas of the South China Sea.

China claims most of the South China Sea, through which $5 trillion in ship-borne trade passes every year, and the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan and Brunei have overlapping claims.

China said on Monday it had lodged a complaint with the United States over a U.S. spy plane that flew over parts of the disputed South China Sea in a diplomatic row that has fueled tension between the world's two largest economies.

The Roots of Christian Zionism: How Scofield Sowed Seeds of Apostasy

Ever wonder why so many Christians support America's many wars, especially in the Middle East? A new Christianity has emerged from the Twentieth Century called Christian Zionism or what could be called, "Angry Evangelicalism," or "Dispensationalism on Steroids." What motivates a nationally known, evangelical preacher like John Hagee to call for a preemptive strike against Iran when it is contrary to what Jesus taught and commanded his followers to do? This "Roots of Zionism" presentation may be the first of its kind with a factual explanation of how Christianity's latest apostate epidemic was launched with the publishing of C. I. Scofield's reference Bible in 1909, and the influence of the notes in it.

The Pentagon says that the new Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR) will begin defensive operations in 2020 and will boost the capacity of ground-based interceptors in Alaska and California. The Clear Air Force Station, an Air Force Space Command radar station in central Alaska, has been chosen as the preferred location for the radar.

Secret Pentagon Report Reveals US “Created” ISIS As A “Tool” To Overthrow Syria’s President Assad

From the first sudden, and quite dramatic, appearance of the fanatical Islamic group known as ISIS which was largely unheard of until a year ago, on the world’s stage and which promptly replaced the worn out and tired al Qaeda as the world’s terrorist bogeyman, we suggested that the “straight to beheading YouTube clip” purpose behind the Saudi Arabia-funded Islamic State was a simple one: use the Jihadists as the vehicle of choice to achieve a political goal: depose of Syria’s president Assad, who for years has stood in the way of a critical Qatari natural gas pipeline, one which could dethrone Russia as Europe’s dominant – and belligerent – source of energy, reaching an interim climax with the unsuccessful Mediterranean Sea military build up of 2013, which nearly resulted in quasi-world war.

Jeb Bush, James Baker, and the Pro-Israel Mega-Donors

What is the issue, that gets little attention in the mainstream, is that the presidential candidates find it necessary to pay obeisance to ultra-powerful individuals who represent the interests of Israel, not the United States.

Dying for Nothing

I didn't watch any of the Memorial Day events on television. Memorial Day, it seems to me, should be only for the families of the dead. It's really impossible to remember someone we never knew.

Of course, these days Memorial Day gets larded with politics and pseudo-patriotism. It's nauseating to watch a bunch of actors, entertainers and politicians who never heard a gun fired in anger put on a maudlin performance as if they really gave a rat's toenail for the dead.

The fact is, war is started by old men who never go near the war, and wars are always fought by the young. The king of Belgium once noted that it takes 20 years of peace to produce a man and 20 seconds of war to destroy him. Think about that. All that a young human being is – intelligence, health, youth, education, knowledge, potential accomplishments – reduced to a bloody pile of broken bones and guts in an instant. They are strangers killing and being killed by strangers.

Hope – versus Neoliberalism – an Ode to Solidarity

The new apparent Hope – is it what my friend Finian Cunningham says – the first ‘eye blinking’ by Washington facing Russia?

We are so thirsty for hope, hope for another, more just, more equitable world, we see hope in the first ‘blinking of an eye’. Hope is good. Hope is the basis for action. And action must be the consequence of hope – hope that not all is lost. Action to break that impasse of neoliberal all-engulfing greed must be simple. We have become strangers to ourselves. We must return to our roots, recognizing where and why we failed to diagnose the beast. Our awakened, re-kindled sense of consciousness may lead us to what we have lost – our inherent sense of solidarity.

Let’s hope together for that to happen – to happen soon, for the suffering is too great to endure much longer. We, the 99.99 % have it in our power to stop this misery and save our planet.

Special Forces Veteran Tells the Truth About Joining the Military

“They’re not sending you out there to be a hero…” – Stan Goff

As world leaders work feverishly to bring about World War III, the need for front line cannon fodder will only increase, and more of the world’s youth will called to duty by the traitors and cowards who make peace an impossibility.

The propaganda machine and mainstream media is very sophisticated at selling war, and military recruiters have unfettered access to the mind’s of the young. They want YOU to be their next disposable hero.

The effort to make joining the military seem attractive will intensify as the economy worsens and college tuition rises, so it’s important to remember that no matter what they offer in exchange, it is your life and conscience that are truly at stake, and these are both priceless and irreplaceable.

The US-Islamic State Dance: One Step Forward and Two Steps Back – By Design

That said, there exists too much overwhelming evidence to prove that the Islamic State is the US Empire’s latest creation of a designated enemy to propagate unending global war and destruction in all resource rich regions on earth. Reagan and Bush senior used Osama’s al Qaeda machine beginning in the early 1980’s as Washington’s proxy war mercenaries on the ground against the Soviet Empire that led eventually to its demise within the decade. Then in the 90’s al Qaeda was used to help “balkanize” Yugoslavia into 13 obliterated, ineffectual little pieces carved up and served as Empire bases against resurrected cold war enemy Russia as well as the Middle East. Then came the pivotal role of Osama’s 19 box-cutters - 15 of whom were Saudi Arabian - used as inside job 9/11 stooges, close to half of whom have since surfaced alive and well on the planet. Only the 3000 Americans murdered and sacrificed that fateful day by the neocons Bush and Cheney et al with Israeli-Saudi help remain dead. The extensively long history of the United States government covertly utilizing al Qaeda/ISIS/Islamic State as America’s oft-repeated actual ally in its fabricated bogus “war on terror” is nothing but a diabolically driven hoax on this planet. The Islamic State is the fake US enemy deployed by the DC crime cabal as its Empire paid-for-hire tool.

PENTAGON SHAM: DEFENSE DEPT ALTERED BOOKS IN LONG-AWAITED AUDIT, REPORTS CLAIM
The US Defense Department’s watchdog knowingly turned a blind eye to financial irregularities, leading to the Pentagon signing off on an audit. This has led to questions regarding just how transparent the government auditing process actually is. A special investigation by Reuters revealed that a senior member of the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Inspector General team had colluded with an independent auditing company, Grant Thornton LLP, to falsely keep the US Marine Corps books clean. The DoD remained the only federal organization that had not abided with a 1992 law passed by Congress to undergo an audit. This was despite the DoD receiving in excess of $500 billion a year, which is by far the largest appropriation of any department.

I was thinking how humanity could descend to such barbarity around the world. How could African migrants risk their lives to leave countries wrecked psychologically and economically by colonial Europeans to seek to arrive in the same continent that subjugated them? How could Myanmar’s Rohingya Muslims be slaughtered in the thousands by the majority Buddhists and surviving people end up in boats and sent back to starve and die at sea rejected by nearby countries including countries like Indonesia with Muslim majorities? How could relatives of Jewish holocaust survivors engage in racism and ethnic cleansing for native Palestinians while relatives of Armenian holocaust survivors lead amazingly rich productive caring lives? How could a very wealthy country like “Saudi Arabia” (the quotes are needed because it is an imposed name for a country stolen by the Saud Family) spend billions to support the US/Israeli agenda of destruction and mayhem in countries like Yemen and Syria?

Militarization Is More Than Tanks and Uniforms

“If we’re training cops as soldiers, giving them equipment like soldiers, dressing them up as soldiers, when are they going to pick up the mentality of soldiers? Do we want police officers to have that mentality? Of course not.”

Look Homeward, Hegemon Part 1: Cold War 2.0 Abroad, Cold Civil War Between the U.S. Government and Its People At Home

To summarize the domestic and international situation — not only is the U.S. government waging a new Cold War abroad with Russia and China, but there’s abundant evidence it’s also entering a ‘cold war’ with large parts of the American population. As during the first Cold War, with the rise of what President Dwight Eisenhower called ‘the military industrial complex’,27 the external ‘Cold War 2.0’ is supplementing the post-9/11 ‘War on Terror’ as a driver of enhanced government power at home. Was the Iraq War a Crime or a Mistake? Yes.

Pretty much everybody in American politics now agrees that the Iraq War was not a great idea. The source of disagreement has moved, instead, to a different question: Was it a failure, or a crime? Republicans insist the Bush administration was merely the victim of bad intelligence. “I still say it was not a mistake,” says Marco Rubio, “because the president was presented with intelligence that said Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.”

Liberal critics reject the honest-mistake explanation.

FLASHBACK - THE LIE OF THE (LAST) CENTURY

There is nothing new in a government lying to their people to start a war. Indeed because most people prefer living in peace to bloody and horrific death in war, any government that desires to initiate a war usually lies to their people to create the illusion that support for the war is the only possible choice they can make.

Webmaster's Commentary:

With all of America now aware that the US Government lied to them about the use of torture it is time to remind Americans of the other lies told by the US Government, including the lies used to trick us into war with Iraq. Today the politicians and media are trying to re-wriote the history of the 2003 Iraq invasion, claiming it was all "bad intelligence" and an innocent mistake. BULL BISCUITS!

FLASHBACK - Buy-Bull Bangers:Regular, or Extra-Crispy?

It is a compelling set of facts, isn't it? If I were a believer I would have no choice but to conclude that the big guy in the sky is really, REALLY, pissed off at the US and its allies for all this smiting going on.

So to all those who went along with these wars because you believed it when Bush and Obama, et. al. said this was God's will, you are all damned. Damned, damned, damned! Damned to hell. And there can be no redemption while the warmongers are still in power. There is no absolution if you know a war of conquest against an innocent people is going on and you do nothing at all to stop it. There is no absolution if you know torture of innocent people is going on and you do nothing at all to stop it. The priests cannot forgive your sins if they share those sins, no matter how expensive those beads are. Having worked so hard to trick you into sin, would they really be eager to get you out? Just whose side are they on? Which God is it they really serve?

Time for FIFA to show Israel the red card

The truth must be told from the outset: I hope Israel is suspended from FIFA.

A soccer ban doesn’t kill anyone. A boycott spills no blood. It is a legitimate weapon to establish justice and apply international law. Israel supported and supports boycotts, and encourages them: against Hamas, against Gaza, and, of course, against Iran. It even joined the boycott against South Africa, albeit in spite of itself. Now its turn has come.

Song for Yemen

A short video and song by Finian Cunningham - Inspiration by Bente Petersen, dedicated to the children of Yemen.

Song for Yemen (Lyrics)

What’s it coming to?
What’s it coming to?
When they’re killing children every day
And the whole world looks away

What’s it coming to?
What’s it coming to?
When kings and presidents say they’re right
To bomb the poor day and night

And the whole damn world just stays quiet
And the whole damn world bows to might is right

What’s it coming to?
What’s it coming to?
When they’re killing children every day
And the whole world looks away

And the whole world looks away
And the whole world looks away

US to Deploy Strategic Bombers in Australia as Chinese Concern Grows

The United States announced that it will deploy nuclear-capable strategic bombers in Australia as China becomes increasingly concerned about US interference at its borders.
The United States will station B-1 strategic bombers in Australia, US Assistant Secretary of Defense David Shear told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Wednesday.

The move comes amid increasing Chinese concern over the United States' military activities in the South China Sea. On Wednesday, China's ambassador to Washington said that the US has "no right whatsoever to intervene in the legitimate activities conducted by China in the South China Sea."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Oh, this will UNDOUBTEDLY calm down tensions in the region!!

And folks, picking a fight with China means picking a fight with Russia.

but unfortunately, even though something is the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly wrong thing for this government and its military to do, is absolutely no guarantee that it won't do it.

The U.S. is at last facing the neocon captivity

The best thing about this political moment in the U.S. (if not for the good people of Iraq) is that the rise of ISIS and the Republican candidates’ embrace of the Iraq war is posing that deep and permanent question to the American public, Why did we invade Iraq?

Last night Chris Matthews asked that question again and David Corn said it was about the neoconservative desire to protect Israel.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Wars are never fought for just one reason. The US was opposed to Iraq's selling their oil for the Euro. But there is no question that Israel wanted to smash a regional power that threatened their dominance, and absent that support and the copious amounts of fake evidence about Saddam's nuclear weapons, the US might have sought a peaceful resolution to the economic problems.

Documents: Obama and Hillary Clinton knew that Benghazi was an al-Qaeda terror attack from the beginning, lied and covered it up

Government watchdog group Judicial Watch recently released over 100 pages of previously secret documents that confirm that the Obama Administration and then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton knew or should have known that the Benghazi terror attack was carried out by al-Qaeda terrorists rather than a spontaneous protest against a video depicting the Prophet Muhammad as was claimed by officials after the attack.

Losing the American Republic

Decades of letting neocons dictate a hawkish foreign policy have put the American Republic in profound danger, just as presidents from George Washington to Dwight Eisenhower predicted, warnings that Americans must finally take to heart...

We may lament our poverty of leadership, but there are ways to make it function. “Princes,” since long before Machiavelli have always used advisers; some even listened to them. Surely the capable people among us — like the “wise men” who whispered in the ears of those earlier leaders — can guide today’s leaders toward more viable policies and away from the chaos that engulfs us.

Forget What We Know Now: We Knew Then the Iraq War Was a Joke

One of the first "gotcha" moments of the 2016 presidential race came about as follows: Reporters following Jeb Bush on a pre-announcement campaign tour smartly decided to badger him about his position on the Iraq invasion. "Knowing what he knows now," they asked, would he have done the same thing as his brother?

Jeb's answer was characteristically Bushian: yes, no, and maybe. Bush III somehow hadn't prepared for the one question he was most absolutely certain to face the moment he decided take a step in the direction of the White House.

It was a little bit like invading a country and having no plan at all for what you do after you seize the capital. In other words, the kind of thing that should disqualify a person not just from the presidency, but maybe also from having a driver's license. George W. specialized in these jaw-dropping oversights, and it seems his brother might have a similar talent.

U.S. Wakes up to “New Silk World Order”

The real Masters of the Universe in the U.S. are no weathermen, but arguably they’re starting to feel which way the wind is blowing.

History may signal it all started with this week’s trip to Sochi, led by their paperboy, Secretary of State John Kerry, who met with Foreign Minister Lavrov and then with President Putin.

Arguably, a visual reminder clicked the bells for the real Masters of the Universe; the PLA marching in Red Square on Victory Day side by side with the Russian military. Even under the Stalin-Mao alliance Chinese troops did not march in Red Square.

As a screamer, that rivals the Russian S-500 missile systems. Adults in the Beltway may have done the math and concluded Moscow and Beijing may be on the verge of signing secret military protocols as in the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact. The new game of musical chairs is surely bound to leave Eurasian-obsessed Dr. Zbig “Grand Chessboard” Brzezinski apoplectic.

BEX ALERT - It’s time to give Israel the means to take out Iranian nukes

The negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program have engendered furious debate in Washington and in capitals across the world. But there are steps outside of the nuclear talks that President Obama can take to help ensure that the United States and its allies are stronger and more secure the day after a deal than they were the day before. One such step would be to provide Israel with GBU-57 30,000-pound bunker-buster bombs (known as the Massive Ordnance Penetrators, or MOPs) and the means to carry them, in a quantity sufficient to destroy Iran’s most deeply buried nuclear sites.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is no guarantee that Israel will not go ahead and use those weapons against Iran's civilian infrastructure, even in the absence of actual nuclear weapons. Iran has not initiated a war of conquest against another country in over 200 years. These days Israel cannot seem to go 3 months without attacking someone else. Neither can the US.

It should be remembered that Israel was at the forefront of claims that Iraq had nuclear weapons, and bombed Iraq's nuclear power plant at Osirak in 1981, then cheered the US on for the invasion of 2003. Today even the staunchest warhawk has had to admit that Iraq did not have nuclear weapons nor were they building any, and post-invasion inspections of the ruins at Osirak found nothing but a power station.

So now you want to give Israel the ability to repeat the Osirak mistake at Bushehr and shower yet another innocent civilian population with radioactivity?

New documentaries probe elaborate cons behind the war on terror ‘mirage’

Before the screening of War of Lies, the film’s German director, Matthias Bittner, was called to the stage and introduced. He said very little, mainly cryptically that “in Germany this film will never be broadcast in a festival – even a student festival – or in a cinema.”

Someone in the audience asked: “Why?”

Bittner didn’t answer. Instead, he shrugged his shoulders and quickly left the stage, pointedly looking at the audience, as if to say: “You decide – after you see the film.”

What the audience saw is that War of Lies exposes, from the inside, that the war on Iraq was based on lies, and that the German security forces were instrumentally involved. From this the audience could infer that this politically embarrassing fact is the reason the German establishment will do all it can to squelch the film.

FLASHBACK - THE LIE OF THE (LAST) CENTURY

It is inescapable historical reality that leaders of nations will lie to their people to trick them into wars they otherwise would have refused. It is not "conspiracy theory" to suggest that leaders of nations lie to trick their people into wars. It is undeniable fact.

This brings us to the present case.

Did the government of the United States lie to the American people, more to the point, did President Bush and his Neocon associates lie to Congress, to initiate a war of conquest in Iraq?

This question has been given currency by a memo leaked from inside the British Government which clearly indicates a decision to go to war followed by the "fixing" of information around that policy. This is, as they say, a smoking gun.

But the fact is that long before this memo surfaced, it had become obvious that the US Government, aided by that of Great Britain, was lying to create the public support for a war in Iraq.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The corporate media is parroting the "bad intelligence" excuse for what is now acknowledged to have been a disastrous decision to go into Iraq. But there was no bad intelligence. The real goal of the war was to end Iraq's selling of their oil for the Euro and the claims about nuclear weapons was the lie told to you to trick you into sending your children to be killed and crippled for the US dollar's continuing hegemony!

US Blinks in Face-Off with Russia

After staring Russia in the face for the best part of a year, the poker-faced Americans finally realized they are holding a bunch of worthless cards. And the Americans blinked.

Besides weapons, other supplies were also provided under lend-lease. And those figures are absolutely indisputable indeed.

Specifically, the USSR received 2,586,000 tons of aviation fuel, an amount equal to 37% of what was produced in the Soviet Union during the war, plus almost 410,000 automobiles, making up 45% of the Red Army’s vehicle fleet (not counting cars captured from the enemy). Food shipments also played a significant role, although very little was provided during the first year of the war, and the US supplied only about 15% of the USSR’s canned meat and other nonperishables.

The CBC's recent revelation that Conservative Public Safety Minister Steven Blaney has called for "zero tolerance" of criticism of Israel and that Canadian hate laws could be applied to those campaigning for BDS -- Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions -- against Israel is repugnant enough. But the truly disturbing irony in this outrageous declaration is that the more extreme the Israeli government becomes, the more illegal settlements it builds, the more explicit its open contempt for world opinion and the more outrageous Netanyahu's statements, the stronger is the support from the Harper government. It raises the question: is there any action, including the actual expulsion of Palestinians from Israel and the Occupied Territories that Harper would not support?

Reply to a Reader’s Complaint about Anti-American Pro-Russian Bias

I recently received a sharp complaint from a reader about an assumed anti-American pro-Russian bias in my writings. The complaint gives a very good opportunity to address questions on the minds of many in the West confused by an extremely biased pro-Washington, anti-Russian bias in mainstream media coverage of Ukraine and Russia as the new demon to be fought.

First, Mr. Schneider, let me say I am an American and I am definitely not anti-American. I love my country and my fellow Americans.

What I do not love is the clique of very rich who—especially over the past three decades since the time of Reagan and Bush Senior—have step-by-step subverted the American Constitution and its guarantees of citizen rights, have destroyed prudent regulation of the health and safety of American citizens by easing safety rules of the Environmental Protection Agency to benefit companies like DuPont or Monsanto at the expense of the public.

The concept of American exceptionalism is as old as the United States, and it implies that the country has a qualitative difference from other nations. This notion of being special gives Americans the sense that playing a lead role in world affair is part of their natural historic calling. The House of Representatives approved an amendment offered by Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) on Thursday night that strips an amnesty provision from the National Defense Authorization Act. The provision would have encouraged the Secretary of Defense to waive military enlistment requirements for illegal aliens who received amnesty through Pres. Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

Canada's complicity in the Saudi-Yemen war

The richest country in the Arab region wasted no time quoting their American arms dealers when they declared an end to their bombing campaign on the poorest Arab country last month.

'Mission Accomplished,' declared a Saudi newspaper on April 22 after Riyadh announced the end of a month-long air campaign on Yemen. Hours later, the strikes resumed. It's hard to assess which was more ironic: Quoting a banner on a U.S. warship where then-president George W. Bush declared an end to major combat operations in Iraq in 2003 -- or the fact that Riyadh continued to drop cluster bombs - while simultaneously declaring a reconstruction effort named 'Operation Renewal of Hope'?

The War You Don't See

A powerful and timely investigation into the media's role in war, tracing the history of embedded and independent reporting from the carnage of World War One to the destruction of Hiroshima, and from the invasion of Vietnam to the current war in Afghanistan and disaster in Iraq.

As weapons and propaganda become even more sophisticated, the nature of war is developing into an electronic battlefield in which journalists play a key role, and civilians are the victims. But who is the real enemy?

The American Military Uncontained

It’s 1990. I’m a young captain in the U.S. Air Force. I’ve just witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall, something I never thought I’d see, short of a third world war. Right now I’m witnessing the slow death of the Soviet Union, without the accompanying nuclear Armageddon so many feared.

Veterans Affairs improperly spent $6 billion annually, senior official says

The Department of Veterans Affairs has been spending at least $6 billion a year in violation of federal contracting rules to pay for medical care and supplies, wasting taxpayer money and putting veterans at risk, according to an internal memo written by the agency’s senior official for procurement.

In a 35-page document addressed to VA Secretary Robert McDonald, the official accuses other agency leaders of “gross mismanagement” and making a “mockery” of federal acquisition laws that require competitive bidding and proper contracts.

Jade Helm: Marines train for internment of citizens under martial law

Obama Wants Extreme Yemeni Pain and Suffering Inflicted

Yemen is Obama's war. Saudis and other regional states are convenient US proxies - waging premeditated aggression against a sovereign independent state threatening no one.

A previous article explained halting hostilities for five days is a thinly veiled PR stunt - ignoring US imperial lawlessness to regain control over a former client state.

How it works...

The Hegelian Dialectic is a philosophical approach that in principle explains how human beings progress toward a better and more egalitarian condition but in practice provides the power elite with a strategy for controlling society.

Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (August 27, 1770 -- November 14, 1831) was among the most consequential philosophers of the Age of Enlightenment. His was heavily influenced by Plato, whose social ideal was rule by an elite composed of philosopher-kings. Though Hegel may not have intended to provide a Platonic methodology for the modern-day control of the many by the few, that is how his insights have been used.

A Summer of War or Peace

This summer, the U.S. Senate will choose between war and peace with Iran. If the right decision is made, President Barack Obama’s pending nuclear deal with Iran will be sustained and both a war and an Iranian nuclear bomb will be avoided.

If the wrong vote is cast, diplomacy will collapse and the U.S. and Iran will once again be on a path towards a disastrous war that will make the Iraq war look like the cake-walk it was promised to be.

UK General Election: the Dust Hasn’t Settled Yet

The UK's dysfunctional democracy has enabled a mere 37% of voters to give Cameron a clear majority of seats.

It is uncertain whether Ed is actually a Zionist. He has been quite critical of Israel’s policies and doesn’t get a high approval rating from Jewish communities. There is no doubt about his brother David, however. I could well imagine the Zionist handlers coaxing Miliband D to return from the US and embed himself once again in the Labour Party.Sure enough, he butted in yesterday to criticize Ed and his team of losers.

China’s Secret Space Weapons Targeting U.S. : “Soon Every Satellite Will Be at Risk”

A new Pentagon report to Congress claims that China is pursuing a secret space weapons program to disable U.S. satellites, GPS and communication systems.

The United States is concerned that the Chinese regime’s “continued development of destructive space technologies” is a “threat to all peaceful space-faring nations,” states the Pentagon’s 2015 annual report to Congress on the Chinese regime’s military and security developments.

The report is particularly concerned with China’s use of directed-energy weapons, satellite jammers and other technology that can be used to take out the communications grid and weaken U.S. military positions.

Why Do Bankers Wage War to Stop National Banks?

By Brandon Turbeville

Earlier in May, 2015, I wrote an article detailing the fact that the fledgling Donetsk People’s Republic, under fire from Western-backed Kiev fascists and economic hardship resulting from warfare and blockade, has taken the extraordinary step of nationalizing its banks and beginning the process of using those nationalized banks for the benefit of the people of the DPR.

As one might suspect, such a move has drawn the ire of the Western banking cartels and NATO governments...

Operation Gladio: The Unholy Alliance between the Vatican, the CIA, and the Mafia (Book review)

The story started as early as 1942 with the formation of the Vatican Bank. The same year ONI (Office of Naval Intelligence) recruited Lucky Luciano, a pre-eminent drug lord. The Swiss director of the US Office of Strategic Services (OSS) Allen Dulles came to the conclusion, “We’re fighting the wrong enemy.” Schutzstaffel (SS) sent Dulles a message through the Vatican that the Nazi government wanted to establish a separate peace with the United States; they wanted to fight the Soviets. Dulles met Prince Max von Hohenlohe in Bern. Hohenlohe found Dulles in agreement with him. Later, Dulles also met other Nazi officials to forge the new alliance. Chief of Special Intelligence for the OSS in China Col. Paul E Helliwell thought of another unholy alliance between the US intelligence community and organized crime groups. Consequently, the US intelligence agencies got drug lord Lucky Luciano released from jail, allowed him to build his narcotic empire, and simply watched the flow of drugs into the largely black ghettos of New York and Washington. The unholy alliance of the American spies and criminals was replicated everywhere, from Laos and Burma to Marseilles and Panama.
