The Imperial Designs on Iran

So what is the Obama administration really up to in Iran? What sort of strategic calculations have led to what for the moment looks like a tactical geopolitical shift?

President Obama certainly concluded that the 36-year-long Wall of Mistrust against Iran was bound to fail. The real Masters of the Universe in Washington – those who control the deep state – always knew that the “nuclear weapons” hysteria was bogus. That was part of a strategic decision to keep the Islamic Republic isolated from the West as long as possible, and ultimately force regime change.

An austerity plan you better accept, lest you may default and being expulsed from the European monetary union and maybe even the EU. That is their threat. That is what Brussels does to a brother; to one of theirs. There is not a shred of solidarity left in this miss-called ‘Union’. This ‘Union’ doesn’t deserve existing.

Why Jeb Bush once thought it was cool to shame single moms

For presidential candidates, 'tis the season of the oppo dump. Or perhaps the season of the background check, as campaigns feed unpleasant information about their opponents to reporters, and reporters take their own initiative to fill out a picture of who these candidates really are. Inevitably, the candidates wind up having to defend things they said or did in years past that from today's standpoint seem anachronistic or even appalling.

So it was with Jeb Bush, who turns out to have written a 1995 book called Profiles In Character that lamented the decline of public shaming as a tool of policymaking.

Home / UK / ‘BBC bias’: EU referendum coverage to be independently monitored by watchdog

The BBC could be legally compelled to remain impartial throughout Britain’s EU referendum campaign, following new broadcast regulations tabled by backbench MPs.

Backbench Tory MPs including Bill Cash, John Redwood, Peter Bone and Christopher Chope are calling for the majority Conservative government to appoint an impartial adjudicator to rule on cases of alleged broadcasting bias throughout the campaign.

The newly formed watchdog would monitor all broadcast output throughout the campaign in the run-up to the in/out referendum, the Telegraph reported on Wednesday.

Hillary's plans to stuff the ballot box

Since Hillary won’t have the youthful exuberance that propelled Obama to his unlikely double victory, she plans to build a whole new electorate out of people who didn’t vote for Obama. That’s the gist of her speech in Houston last week, which her friends at MSNBC called a “far-reaching vision for expanding access to the ballot box.”

Who are the new voters to whom Hillary wants to give “access to the ballot box”? They include felons and non-citizens, along with anyone who can’t prove identity, citizenship, or residence within the voting precinct.

She also plans to harvest millions of new votes by expanding the dangerous practices of same-day registration and early voting, which enable Democrats to badger, berate, bribe, or bamboozle reluctant low-information voters to the polls. Democratic Party and union workers can identify reluctant voters and harass them until the party worker verifies that they have actually cast their ballot.

Hillary Goes Right for Bush's Gut in Voting Rights Speech

he speech that Hillary Rodham Clinton gave at Texas Southern University on Thursday regarding the right to vote even was better than I expected it to be. It was a thwacking, name-checking jeremiad that took for granted the obvious fact that the Republican party, and the conservative movement that is its only real energizing force, has embarked on a systematic campaign to disenfranchise those voters unlikely to vote for Republican candidates, and that the campaign has been abetted at the highest levels of conservative politics which, in this case, happen to include the Supreme Court of the United States. She talked about how Rick Perry had worked to restrict the franchise in Texas, and how Scott Walker had done so in Wisconsin. Then, she said this.

"And in Florida, when Jeb Bush was governor, state officials conducted a deeply flawed purge of voters before the presidential election of 2000."

Yeah, she went there.

Why the Right to Vote in the United States is a Fraud

Next year, many Americans will be preparing themselves to go vote at the next presidential election, which is scheduled for November 8, 2016. If you are planning to go vote during that time, you should read this article before doing so.

The right to vote is not what you think it is. When you vote, you are voting for a foreign candidate that represents a foreign corporation called the United States of America, Incorporated. Do you need proof of this? Read further and I will show you all the proof you need.

Proof That the United States of America (Minor) is a Foreign Corporation

If you want proof that the United States of America is a corporation, look at line 15 and 15(A) in title 28 U.S. Code § 3002 and you should see this sentence, ““United States” means— (A) a Federal corporation.”

If Hillary Clinton was running a real campaign, today would be a fascinating moment for the presumptive nominee. She’s in South Carolina where she needs to make amends with black voters who not only rejected her in 2008 but rebuked her and her husband for their presumptuous approach. On the question of whether Clinton can run and win a return to the White House as an unabashed liberal, enthusiasm of black voters is a paramount consideration. But alas, she is not running a real campaign. She is instead running something more akin to a legal defense or corporate PR after an oil spill.

The Hegelian Dialectic is a philosophical approach that in principle explains how human beings progress toward a better and more egalitarian condition but in practice provides the power elite with a strategy for controlling society.

Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (August 27, 1770 -- November 14, 1831) was among the most consequential philosophers of the Age of Enlightenment. His was heavily influenced by Plato, whose social ideal was rule by an elite composed of philosopher-kings. Though Hegel may not have intended to provide a Platonic methodology for the modern-day control of the many by the few, that is how his insights have been used.

Scott Walker Targets Jeb Bush in South Carolina Speech

“From our family, we didn’t inherit fame or fortune, what we inherited was the belief that if you work hard and you play by the rules you can do and be anything you want,” he said.
***
...In South Carolina, he offered a subtle corrective, noting that he is headed to Israel later today and assuring the audience — which was full of military service-members and their families — that he cares about national security as much as anyone.

Walker said he prefers to use the term “safety,” rather than national security.
“National security is something you read about in the newspaper; safety is something you feel,” he said. “It’s something that — even though as a governor I don’t deal with it day in and day out — it has increasingly become one of the most important things for me to focus in on, because when I think about safety, I think about my own children and I think about yours as well.”

New Missouri Mayor Barred from Entering Office; Voter Fraud Alleged

McCray is in trouble with the Board because of allegations that her election was marred by voter fraud. The new mayor won the April 7 election with 38 votes to her main opponent’s 18. The city of Kinloch has fewer than 300 residents and, as the Post-Dispatch noted, it is “marked by pilfered coffers, shady land deals and increasingly bitter fights over the last remnants of political power.”

More details on the alleged fraud, via the Post-Dispatch:

According to documents obtained… the city has raised concerns to the St. Louis County Board of Elections and the Missouri Secretary of State about people being registered to vote in Kinloch who no longer live there. On April 2, the city gave the Election Board a list of 27 names of people who it claimed were illegally registered; many of those individual addresses were listed at city-owned apartments.

Jeb Bush’s Team Plots Vast Effort to Win Florida

The plan, code-named “Homeland Security,” seeks to try to neutralize two potentially grave but homegrown threats to Mr. Bush’s long-anticipated run for president: the likely challenge from a charismatic young Republican senator from Miami, Marco Rubio, who is expected to seek the Republican nomination himself, and a demographic drift within Florida that could doom Mr. Bush there in a fall campaign against a Democrat.

As Netanyahu no longer talks peace, Israel is set for paralysis

On Monday – the day before his election victory - he abandoned his conciliatory words and went back to being against a Palestinian state. “Anyone who is going to establish a Palestinian state, anyone who is going to evacuate territories today, is simply giving a base for attacks to the radical Islam against Israel,” he said. “This is the true reality that was created here in the last few years.”

So Mr Netanyahu has jumped from being against the two-state solution, to being in favour, to being against it once again. His current position forces him once again to bang his head against stubborn demographic reality: if there is one state west of the Jordan, it must eventually be an Arab state.
***
Moreover, ordinary Israelis can never forget that whenever they have relinquished territory in the past – by leaving south Lebanon in 2000, for example, or evacuating settlers from the Gaza Strip in 2005 – nothing has been gained save for barrages of rockets launched by Hizbollah and Hamas.

Obama calls for mandatory voting in U.S.

President Obama, whose party was trounced in last year’s midterm election due to poor turnout among Democrats, endorsed the idea of mandatory voting Wednesday.

“It would be transformative if everybody voted,” Mr. Obama said during a town-hall event in Cleveland. “That would counteract [campaign] money more than anything. If everybody voted, then it would completely change the political map in this country.”

Mr. Obama raised the subject during a discussion of curbing the influence of campaign donations in U.S. elections. The president said he had never discussed the idea publicly before, but said Australia and some other countries have compulsory voting.

In Democracy, voting is optional. In a dictatorship, it is mandatory, to conceal that it is a dictatorship!

The first exit polls presaged a rough tie between the Likud and Zionist Union.

Exit pollsters who presented a woefully inaccurate map of Tuesday’s election outcome that night, are searching for clues as to why their results differed so vastly from the actual votes being counted.

The difference between the final public polls published the Friday before elections and the actual results are expected to have large gaps.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The reason to have exit polls is to verify the accuracy of the official vote. When they don;t line up, it means the election was stolen.

Imagine my shock.

Netanyahu Wins by Stephen Lendman

snip: Believing otherwise is foolhardy. Israel's 20% Arab population is powerless, persecuted, and denied rights afforded solely to Jews. Election results changed nothing.

Israel is like America. Democracy is pure fantasy. Not a dime's worth of difference separates major parties on issues mattering most.

Voter choices are largely bad or worse. For Israeli Arab citizens and most Jews, Netanyahu or Herzog makes no difference.

Election results changed nothing. Government headed by either leader assures ugly business as usual.

Both and likely coalition partners support:
apartheid worse than South Africa's;
militarized occupation harshness;
settlement construction on stolen Palestinian land;
war, not peace;
Arabs denied virtually all rights afforded Jews; and
continuation of decades if institutionalized racism.

Greeks elect new parliament amid EU withdrawal concerns

Greeks are going to polling stations on Sunday to elect a new parliament. The populist radical-leftist party Syriza has won the hearts of many austerity-ridden people with its message of reverting wages cuts and renegotiating debt obligations.

Prime Minister Antonis Samaras was forced to call a snap vote in December after the parliament failed to elect a president. His center-right New Democracy party is now running behind Syriza, with opinion polls showing a gap of several percentage points.

Syriza leader Alexis Tsipras urged his voters to give his party an outright victory of 40 percent, which would allow him to form a government with no help from other parties.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That is because the last time Greece held elections, Syriza won, but the pro-banker politicians refused to form a coalition government, forcing a second election that Syriza lost by a razor thin margin amid reports of wide-scale election fraud.

Illegal pro-GMO observers accused of disrupting Oregon labeling law vote count

Amid a recount of Oregon’s ballot initiative over labeling of genetically-modified foods, the pro-agribusiness contingent, known as the “No on 92 Coalition,” tried to illegally place out-of-state election observers in at least four counties, opponents say.

The statewide vote on Measure 92 - which, if passed, would demand genetically-engineered ingredients to be labeled as such - is subject to a hand recount given the original, computerized tally showed that the initiative failed by just 812 votes, within the mandatory-recount margin. The recount began on Tuesday and will continue through Dec. 9.

The campaign over Measure 92 was the most expensive in the state’s history, as powerful biotechnology firms like Monsanto and DuPont pumped about $21 million against the initiative, while supporters culled about $9 million.

Harvard students take the 1964 Louisiana Literacy Test that black voters had to pass before being allowed to go to the polls - and every single person FAILED

A group of Harvard students were recently asked by their tutor to sit the 1964 Louisiana Literacy Test - a notorious document with confusing questions that was used to stop black citizens from voting.

Just 50 years ago, states in the South asked voters who couldn't provide proof of a fifth grade education to pass the test in order to be eligible to cast a ballot.

The test was intended to disenfranchise African-Americans, who in order to pass had to correctly answer all 30 questions in 10 minutes.

Despite their Ivy League pedigree, none of the students managed to pass the test and their reactions as they struggled to make sense of the obtuse questions was filmed.

Voters urge GOP to stamp out illegal alien election fraud, poll shows

While the usual post-elections analysts explain away the anger felt by many American voters, those casting their ballots for GOP candidate may have done so in the hopes of putting an end to what they discerned as a lawlessness and deceitfulness in the current White House, according to a report on Thursday by a top watchdog group that investigates and exposes government corruption and out-and-out criminal acts by political leaders and their subordinates. Despite being told that voter fraud is rare by the people who benefit from illegal voting and their media sycophants, Americans believe that the security of U.S. elections is a necessity.

Voting Machine Disabled After Allegedly Failing to Show Greg Abbott's Name on Ballot

Election officials in San Antonio, Texas are examining a disabled voting machine after it allegedly left Republican gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott's name off of the ballot.

Earlier on Tuesday, the machine was being utilized in Bexar County's First Chinese Baptist Church of San Antonio.

Bexar County Election Administrator Jacque Callan told local media outlet KENS 5 that the machine was "experiencing issues." According to Callan, the machine has a counter which will allow election officials to determine exactly how many voters used it.

At this point, there is no explanation as to how -- or why -- the glitch occurred.

GOP name missing, voting machines malfunction

Dozens of precincts across Virginia on Tuesday reported voting machine troubles, while in Colorado the state’s election system had to be rebooted, and in Texas the Republican candidate’s name was found to be missing from the ballots in one county.

The incidents, and others that have arisen Tuesday, raised questions about the integrity of the American election system, which has taken a bludgeoning in recent years because of incidents of fraud.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If a government cannot prove the honesty and accuracy of the elections by which they claim authority over the people, then the people are neither legally nor morally obligated to obey that government's dictates nor to pay its bills nor to send their children to die in that government's wars, and may with full moral justification resist with lethal force efforts to coerce said obedience, looting, and conscription.

Landslide! Republicans capture Senate and prized governorships

Republicans held all of their seats and picked up more than the six seats needed to take control of the Senate Tuesday night, as voters across the country delivering a scorching rebuke of President Obama’s tenure.

Pickups in South Dakota, Montana, West Virginia, Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa and North Carolina earned Republicans the majority with a seat to spare, and they were already the favorite to win a runoff in Louisiana in December, which would give them 53 seats.

Republicans also were poised to capture the Democratic-held seat in Alaska and staged a surprisingly close finish in Virginia, though incumbent Democratic Sen. Mark Warner appeared to be holding on to a razor-thin lead and declared victory before Republican Ed Gillespie conceded the race.

Gillespie Somehow Lost 5657-98 in Precincts Where He Received 9 or Fewer Votes

In an interesting coincidence, in a number of precincts, Republican Ed Gillespie received fewer than 10 votes. Yet, this was not because of a lack of eligible voters.

Instead, Gillespie’s opponent, Mark Warner, did extremely well in such precincts, drastically out-gaining his opponent. Warner went on to win.

Added together, the precincts that Gillespie received 9 or fewer votes adds up to 98. In those same precincts, Warner received an astounding 5,657 votes.

Virginia Democratic Sen. Mark Warner apparently won re-election Tuesday, barely holding onto his seat in a shockingly close election in the commonwealth. However, Republican challenger Ed Gillespie won't concede the race, as the returns show the two candidates just a half percentage point apart.

Warner, the former Virginia governor, declared victory over the former chairman of the Republican National Committee Tuesday. With more than 2 million votes cast in Virginia, Warner held a roughly 12,000-vote lead over Gillespie.

Video: Vote For Republican Automatically Registers For Democrat

The Virginia Republican party says there are problems with some touchscreen voting machines in Virginia Beach and other communities. The party sent out a video of one voter attempting to vote for Republican House member Scott Rigell. As the voter's finger touches Rigell's box, the vote is registered for Suzanne Patrick. Watch the video below:

Webmaster's Commentary:

Now then, before we get the usual flood of "Calibration error" and "fat fingered voters" and "there is no vote fraud" poured on us by the media, some common sense. If there really is a mechanical fault in the system, the errors should go both ways. For every GOP vote that flops over to the Democrat, there should statistically be one that flips a Democrat vote back to the GOP. But there isn't. ALL of the "errors" switch GOP votes to the Democrats.

Election conspiracy theories, an American staple

In 2012 we conducted surveys to gauge what Americans thought about the integrity of the system. Just before the election, we asked a national sample of respondents about the likelihood of voter fraud if their preferred presidential candidate did not win. About 50% said fraud would have been very or somewhat likely. When asked if someone was using "dirty tricks" in the election, about 85% believed that some candidate, campaign or political group was.

These sentiments are not driven by members of one party or the other: Near equal numbers of Republicans and Democrats (between 40% and 50%) said fraud would be very or somewhat likely. Each side believes that if they lose, cheating is to blame, and they believe it about equally. Nobody likes losing, but it appears hard for about half the country to accept that they lost fair and square.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Despite this admission, this article is a puff-piece; one of many hitting the corporate media today, trying to assure Americans the US elections are fair and honest. From their own admitted poll results, they have failed.

One of the biggest voter frauds may be the idea promoted by Attorney General Eric Holder and others that there is no voter fraud, that laws requiring voters to have a photo identification are just attempts to suppress black voting.

A Flood of Late Spending on Midterm Elections, From Murky Sources

A stealthy coterie of difficult-to-trace outside groups is slipping tens of millions of dollars of attacks ads and negative automated telephone calls into the final days of the midterm campaign, helping fuel an unprecedented surge of last-minute spending on Senate races.

Much of the advertising is being timed to ensure that no voter will know who is paying for it until after the election on Tuesday. Some of the groups are “super PACs” that did not exist before Labor Day but have since spent heavily on political advertising, adding to the volatility of close Senate and House races.

Wasserman-Schultz, DNC hire army of lawyers to challenge election results

The Democratic National Committee (DNC), led by its hard hitting and verbose chairwoman, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, has hundreds of attorneys on retainer in order to fight the results of Tuesday's elections if things don't go their way, according a number of news stories on Sunday.

Voter identification laws appear to be the primary point of contention, with Republicans supporting the law and the Democrats opposing them. The DNC continues to use its "get out the vote" tactics while making allegations that the GOP is trying to "disenfranchise" minority voters, some of whom were proven to have been bused in from other districts or even states.

‘Calibration error’ changes GOP votes to Dem in Illinois county

The conservative website Illinois Review reported that “While using a touch screen voting machine in Schaumburg, Moynihan voted for several races on the ballot, only to find that whenever he voted for a Republican candidate, the machine registered the vote for a Democrat in the same race. He notified the election judge at his polling place and demonstrated that it continued to cast a vote for the opposing candidate’s party. Moynihan was eventually allowed to vote for Republican candidates, including his own race.

Moynihan offered this gracious lesson to his followers on Twitter: “Be careful when you vote in Illinois. Make sure you take the time to check your votes before submitting.”

Three years later, Pentagon unit still hides Internet voting test results

A nonprofit watchdog group is suing an obscure Defense Department unit over its failure for three years to disclose the results of testing on the security safeguards of Internet voting systems that are increasingly being used to cast absentee ballots.

The Pentagon unit, the Federal Voting Assistance Program, has effectively bankrolled many states’ shift to online voting, disbursing tens of millions of dollars in grants for the purchase of equipment that includes Internet balloting options.

Its actions have drawn consternation from cyber experts, who have warned for years that Internet voting is an easy target for hackers who could tamper with or even fix election results. The government’s premier technology testing agency also has refused to endorse these systems.

No campaign to face probe over Scotland's independence referendum

Anti-Scottish independence campaigners will face a formal investigation over allegations that they breached electoral law in last month’s referendum, the Crown Office has said.

“We can confirm that Crown counsel has instructed Police Scotland to commence an investigation into alleged breaches of Schedule 7, Paragraph 7, of the Scottish Independence Referendum Act 2013,” the Scottish prosecution service said in a statement on Saturday.

The allegations apparently relate to comments by Scottish Conservative Party Leader and Member of the Scottish Parliament Ruth Davidson, who said pro-UK campaigners violated electoral law by counting postal votes ahead of referendum polling day.
