Moon shot uncovered evidence of water, NASA says

NASA says a spacecraft that was intentionally crashed into the moon has turned up the best evidence yet of water.

Scientists have been analyzing a mile-high plume of debris kicked up by the Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite last month after it crashed into a crater near the moon's south pole.

They presented preliminary data today showing the presence of water in the crater.
