Wikipedia blocks 'disruptive' page edits from US Congress

Wikipedia administrators have imposed a ban on page edits from computers at the US House of Representatives, following "persistent disruptive editing".

The 10-day block comes after anonymous changes were made to entries on politicians and businesses, as well as events like the Kennedy assassination.

The biography of former US defence secretary Donald Rumsfeld was edited to say that he was an "alien lizard".

One staffer said they were being banned for the "actions of two or three".

Edits from computers using the IP address belonging to the House of Representatives have been banned before, following similar acts of vandalism.

The Future is Smaller– That’s the Only Way This Works

It’s large governments that maintain police states, that spy on their citizens, and commandeer nearly every personal choice imaginable with regulatory agencies that tell us how to educate our children and what we can/cannot put in our own bodies.

As Kohr theorized, bigness often leads to tyranny.

If you look at the more financially successful nations today, i.e. those with solvent governments who do not indebt future generations to drop bombs by remote control drones, they’re nearly all small.

Hong Kong has some of the lowest tax rates in the world. And yet the local government is awash with so much cash that they frequently send tax refunds back to local residents.

Singapore is in a similar position; the city-state has zero net debt, a strong defense force, incredibly low tax rates… yet they still manage to funnel excess tax revenues back into the economy, often as tax breaks or business incentives.

The future is smaller- that’s the only way this works.

Group Given Nearly $300 Million To House Child Immigrants; Improperly Disclosed Lobbying

A Texas-based organization that has been awarded hundreds of millions of dollars in federal contracts by the Obama administration to house illegal immigrant children not only lobbied the federal government, but also failed to properly disclose the activity.

After The Daily Caller inquired about its lobbying disclosures, BCFS, a San Antonio-based nonprofit, now says it may correct its tax forms to properly disclose its lobbying expenditures.

The Obama administration, through the Department of Health and Human Services, has tapped BCFS, formerly known as Baptist Child & Family Services, to provide security and other services to unaccompanied children at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, and Ft. Sill army base near Lawton, Okla.

Orwell Would Be Proud: US Media Admits Divine Right To Decide What Public Needs To Know

The government really needs to get its message out to the American people, and it knows that the best way to do that is by using the American news media, said Shanker. The relationship between the government and the media is like a marriage; it is a dysfunctional marriage to be sure, but we stay together for the kids.

Debunking the "The Saudis did 9-11" nonsense!

And finally, here is some common sense that totally undermines the attempt to frame Saudi Arabia for 9-11. If Saudi Arabia really wanted to hurt the United States, they don't need to fly airplanes into skyscrapers to do it. All they have to do is ask for their money back, all at once. The resulting damage to the US financial system would make 9-11 look like a minor inconvenience in comparison.

And it would be perfectly legal for Saudi Arabia to ask for their money back.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am reposting this article because three pro-Israel congressmen are claiming that there is a secret 9-11 document that they are demanding to be made public. This is actually a repeat of the same stunt they tried 2 years ago in which they tease the public with the story of a secret 9-11 document and try to get everyone to demand to see it. The document frames Saudi Arabia for 9-11, to protect Israel.

But as this article lays out, Saudi Arabia didn't have a motive to do 9-11, and if they wanted to hurt the US, they would not need airplanes into skyscrapers to do it.

Washington Is Escalating the Orchestrated Ukrainian “Crisis” to War

Despite the conclusion by US intelligence that there is no evidence of Russian involvement in the destruction of the Malaysian airliner and all lives onboard, Washington is escalating the crisis and shepherding it toward war.

Twenty-two US senators have introduced into the 113th Congress, Second Session, a bill, S.2277, “To prevent further Russian aggression toward Ukraine and other sovereign states in Europe and Eurasia, and for other purposes.” https://beta.congress.gov/113/bills/s2277/BILLS-113s2277is.pdf The bill is before the Committee on Foreign Relations.

Note that prior to any evidence of any Russian aggression, there are already 22 senators lined up in behalf of preventing further Russian aggression.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If they pass that bill, let's grab every congresscritter who voted for it, toss them on a plane, and fly them to Moscow ... one-way.

Obama: ‘It’s Pretty Hard To Find An Economic Measure Where We’re Not Significantly Better Off’

“What can you tell average Americans about the outlook of the economy?” Liesman asked, noting that even Obama’s own former economic advisor Larry Summers is forecasting lower growth over the next few years.

European Central Bank hacked, personal data stolen

Hackers have stolen personal information from the European Central Bank (ECB) in what seems to be a blackmail scheme. The stolen data includes email addresses and contact information taken from the organization's database.

“There had been a breach of the security protecting a database serving its public website,” ECB said in astatement on Thursday. “This led to the theft of email addresses and other contact data left by people registering for events at the ECB.”

Around 20,000 email addresses were stolen, according to media reports.

The hacked database serves the public website and gathers registrations for conferences and other visits. It is “physically separate from any internal ECB systems.”

Debt Rattle Jul 24 2014: Ukraine: What To Do When Growth Is Gone

“The fact that the coalition has fallen apart, that laws haven’t been voted on, that soldiers can’t be paid, that there is no money to buy rifles, that there is no possibility to fill gas storages. What options do we have now?” This is, as per Bloomberg, what US handpicked handpuppet and – now former – Ukraine PM Yatsenyuk told the Kiev parliament earlier today during a speech in which he announced the resignation of his “government”. Several of his coalition partners, including right wing Svoboda, had left the government not long before.

This raises a ton of poignant questions. The first one that came to my mind was: “in whose name are the women and children of Lugansk and Donetsk going to be killed now”? It can’t be in the Kiev government’s name anymore.

The Catastrophe of #MH17: #BBC in the Search of the “#BUK” – The Video Report Deleted by @BBC

The original BBC Video Report was published by BBC Russian Service on July 23, 2014. Why did BBC delete this report by Olga Ivshina? Is it because the BBC team was unable to find any evidence that a rocket was launched in the area that the Ukrainian Security Service (“SBU”) alleges to be the place from which the Novorossiya Militia launched a “BUK” missile?

Or is it because every eyewitness interviewed by the BBC team specifically indicated the presence of Ukrainian military aircraft right beside the Malaysian Airlines Boeing MH17 at the time that it was shot down?

Or is it because of eyewitness accounts (like the one posted following the transcript of the BBC report) confirming that the Ukrainian air force regularly used civilian aircraft flying over Novorossiya as human shields to protect its military aircraft conducting strikes against civilian population from the Militia’s anti-aircraft units?

One of the bogus landlords, Carlos Felix, helped Heras steal more than $100,000, the DOI said.

Obama’s Dumbest Move to Date… Seizing a Foreign Bank

Ten dark suited men entered the premises of FBME bank in Cyprus on Friday afternoon and took it hostage.

The men were from the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC). And they commandeered FBME because an obscure agency within the US government recently issued a report accusing the bank of laundering money.

It just so happens that FBME… and Cyprus in general… is where a lot of wealthy Russians hold their vast fortunes.

Bear in mind, there has been no proof that any crime was committed.

There was no court hearing. No charges were read. It wasn’t even the government of Cyprus who accused them of anything.

When HSBC got caught red-handed laundering funds for a Mexican drug cartel last year, the US government gave them a slap on the wrist. HSBC got off with a fine.

Yet when the US government merely makes an accusation that FBME could be laundering money, the bank gets taken over at gunpoint.

Obama, US politicians ‘owned’ by Zionist lobby: Barry Grossman

An international lawyer says President Barack Obama’s statements on Israel’s deadly onslaught against Palestinians stem from “power politics” as he and other US politicians are “owned” by “the Zionist lobby.”

“We should never be so naive as to expect anything said by President Obama that touches on the subject of Israel to be based on sound logic or on facts,” said Barry Grossman in a phone interview with Press TV on Monday commenting on Obama’s remarks about Israel’s offensive on Gaza.

“There is nothing about Obama’s position or rhetoric on Gaza that is based on principle or facts as distinct from pure power politics,” Grossman added. “The simple demonstrable fact which America is at last waking up to, is that its political apparatus has been occupied by special interests for a very long time and no group is more organized, better resourced or more pernicious that the Zionist lobby.”

Desperate hunt for 'contagious' homeless man, 25, in California after he refused to have tuberculosis treatment

A desperate hunt is underway in Northern California for a tuberculosis patient who has refused treatment and may be contagious, putting those around him at risk.

Prosecutors said on Thursday that they have obtained an arrest warrant for Eduardo Rosas Cruz, a 25-year-old transient.

In March, he went to the San Joaquin General Hospital's emergency room, complaining of a severe cough. Diagnosed with tuberculosis, medical staff told him to stay in a Stockton motel room, where a health worker would deliver his medication and watch him take it. But officials say he took off.

County health officials asked prosecutors to seek the warrant, in part, because Rosas Cruz comes from a part of Mexico known for its drug-resistant strain of tuberculosis.

To mock President Putin’s pride and test his paranoia is folly The downing of flight MH17 was clearly an accident. This tragedy should not be used as an excuse to punish Russia.

Why does foreign policy default to stupid? From the moment that we heard of the Malaysian airliner shot down over Ukraine it was clearly an accident. Whoever’s finger was on the trigger, the tragedy cannot have been meant. This was not another 9/11. It was cock-up, not conspiracy.

Yet foreign policy craves conspiracy. Vladimir Putin blamed the Ukrainian government. Ukraine blamed the pro-Russian rebels. America’s UN ambassador, Samantha Power, “cannot rule out” Moscow’s responsibility. London howled blue murder all round. There had been blood. There had to be blame.

US Invents Reports of Russia Attacking Ukraine Bases

State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf introduced the story to the press at today’s briefing, claiming that the US has secret evidence from “human intelligence information” that the attacks are taking place. The Pentagon concurred, saying such attacks have been going on “for several days.”

During the past several days, there has not been a single report out of Ukraine of an artillery strike against any of their military bases, anywhere in the country. The last such incident was two weeks ago, when rebels fired a BM-21 grad at a military base.

And this is Ukraine we’re talking about, which comes up with its own dubious stories of Russian attacks on a near daily basis. If Russia was carried out concerted shelling against Ukrainian military targets, Ukraine would be harping on about it constantly. They aren’t even alleging anything close to that is happening.

Is Israel’s Operation Protective Edge Really About Natural Gas?

While many articles have debunked the myth that Israel is acting out of “self-defense,” very few have attempted to establish why Israel is continuing its assault on Palestine through Operation Protective Edge, aside from the supposition that Zionists have a fanatic penchant for drawing Palestinian blood. Behind the operation, behind the mass Israeli and U.S. propaganda attempting to justify the massacre, and behind the death of every child in Gaza is a conflict rarely discussed, an imperialist conflict and a contradiction that rests on Israel’s ambitions to appropriate and profit from Gaza’s natural gas resources.

The Keynesian Money Printers Repudiated Again: June New Home Sales Swoon

New home sales during June really hit the skids, posting a 8% decline from May and a 11.5% drop from last June. In whole numbers, the print came at a paltry 406,000 annualized rate compared to Wall Street expectations of 475,000.

The interesting thing is not simply that the Keynesian Cool-Aid drinkers who pass for Wall Street economists got it wrong again. Actually, as can been seen clearly in the chart below from the Wall Street Journal, the June 2014 number for new home sales was exactly the same as the 400,000 number posted right after the financial crisis in the fall of 2008.

The first film footage of Palestine circa 1896

Like an early Google Street View, the French movie pioneers brothers Auguste and Louis Lumière sent cameramen over to Palestine in 1896 to shoot the first moving images of life in the region.

At this time, Palestine was a remnant of the Ottoman Empire with around 500,000 inhabitants—30,000 of whom lived in Jerusalem. 85% of the population were Muslim, 10% Christian and 5% were Jewish. All were subjects of the Sultan of Constantinople.

This incredible footage comes from the 93 reels recovered by Lobster Films, a film preservation company based in Paris, in 2007. Serge Bromberg, the company’s co-founder said:

Netanyahu said to have offered Lewinsky tapes for Pollard

Israel attempted to use tapes of former US president Bill Clinton’s steamy conversations with intern Monica Lewinsky to leverage the release of Jonathan Pollard, a new book on the Clinton family’s political enterprises has claimed. In the book, titled “Clinton Inc: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine,” author Daniel Halper relies on on-the-record interviews with former officials together with a close analysis of documents termed “the Monica Files” to paint a salacious – and uncomplimentary – picture of one of the most prominent political families in the United States.

That statement -- which would certainly outrage the current government of Israel and most of its supporters -- was made by David Ben Gurion (1886-1973), revered as the father of the State of Israel.

Attacks continue on Ukraine from Russian territory

Russian military aggression towards Ukraine has persisted unabated since Kremlin-backed guerillas shot down a commercial airliner on July 17, killing all 298 people on board, including more than 80 children.

While the tragic event has all but deprived Russia of plausible deniability over its involvement in the eastern Ukraine war that has claimed at least 825 civilian and military lives, Russia has with regularity been shelling Ukrainian positions from its side of the border, according to Kyiv authorities.

Webmaster's Commentary:

... most of whom just quit!

CNN is headlining that the US has "proof" Russia is shelling Ukraine. Okay, why would Russia do something that stupid? And shells fired from Russia can only reach into the Independent Republics, which means Kiev is claiming Russia is shelling the separatists. Now, Kiev has been trying to provoke Russia for weeks with cross-border shellings and that stunt with the APC and Putin has refused to bite, so apparently the latest plan is to claim Russia is attacking and launch the war to end the threat of the Ruble to the US dollar.

Israel denounces UNHRC probing Israeli war crimes as ‘kangaroo court’

ed note–remember that there is more to Israel’s statement than just merely rhetoric. According to Jewish religious law, which is the foundation upon which Israel’s existence is based and justified, there are no ‘civilians’ in Gaza or anywhere else. Jewish religious law makes it very clear how the Jewish state is to wage war–’Save nothing alive that breathes and show them no mercy’, a theme that has been echoed time and again by Jewish rabbis, both in Israel and throughout the diaspora. Therefore, in the Jewish paradigm, since there are no ‘civilians’ in Gaza, there can be no war crimes, and therefore any court investigating Israel for war crimes is by definition–again, according to Jewish law–illegitamate, as intimated by the assertion that the UNHRC is a ‘kangaroo court’.

FLASHBACK - An exodus which was merely a myth

Showing the foundations of the fort of the XVIIIth dynasty, the oldest ever found in this line of defense, known as the road of Horus, Mohamad Abdel-Maqsoud, the leader of excavations and the director of the central administration of Egyptian antiquities, said that it is testimony to the fierceness of the fighting. "It is here that was established the first large lock of the empire against the conquerors from the east, as the Hyksos," he says, whereas today the Suez Canal is only 5 km. But the basis for subsequent attacks in the Pharaonic empire in the direction of Palestine, with the establishment of a chain composed of a dozen strongholds until what is now known as the Gaza Strip.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel gains a great deal of political advantage from the story of Exodus. But much of the Torah or Old Testament is simply stolen from other sources. The story of Noah and the Flood, for example, was copied from the Epic of Gilgamesh, as was the story of Job. It is important to recall that in those days there was no prohibition on copying. The physical book or scroll was the thing of value due to the labor intensive process of creating it, and copying/modifying other stories was accepted practice.

But according to modern archaeologists, including Egypt's Dr. Zahi Hawass, the story told of the flight of the Hebrews from Pharaoh actually happened to the Hyksos, who fled Egypt looting as they went which is why Pharaoh chased after them.

It is important to understand that rulers always lie, and the Israelites are no different.

Obama administration sending military advisers to Ukraine within weeks

The United States is reportedly preparing to send a team of military advisers into Ukraine to assist with revamping forces there in the midst of the ongoing crisis between government-loyal troops and an anti-Kiev militia.

On Tuesday this week, the Washington Times reported that a spokesperson for the US Department of Defense confirmed plans to put Pentagon advisers in Ukraine.

“Within the next few weeks, a group of Defense Department representatives who specialize in strategy and policy will head to Kiev to evaluate specific programs that the United States may want to help bolster,” reporter Maggie Ybarra wrote for the Times.

FLASHBACK 2013 - Zionists design myth of Jewish genome to usurp Palestine

They perpetrated the fraud solely to support the bogus biblical claim to Palestine which was anchored in their being a separate people. This distinguished them from all others because they claimed a land title in their blood. They bet the farm on this DNA proof of purchase, a God given bar coded passport to the Palestine. Dr. Ehaik just erased the bar code. It was just stamped on anyway, because it was never in the blood.

Why, why did they do it? The second half of the answer not revealed in his research was that you had a bunch of atheist, communist Jews shoot their way into taking over the Land with the sole moral cover that 'God gave it us only'.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel has sold the lie that "Jewish" is an ethnic group in addition to being a religion. But the DNA tells another story, of dozens of other ethnic groups converting to Judaism and simply declaring they are a different and superior race to all others, with a mandate from the imaginary playmate in the sky that they are supposed to own all of Palestine (and anything else they can get their hands on).

Baby among nine dead as Israeli shell hits UN school in Gaza

At least nine people were killed, including a baby, when an Israeli shell slammed into a UN-run school in the northern Gaza Strip on Thursday, an AFP correspondent said.

Emergency services spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra put the toll as high as 15 dead and dozens injured, with more bodies and wounded expected to arrive at nearby hospitals.

It was the latest in a number of Israeli strikes on schools and hospitals in the embattled Palestinian territory, as the death toll from a 17-day operation to halt rocket fire by Gaza militants topped 770.

A spokesman for the UN’s Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA separately confirmed “multiple dead and injured” at the school in Beit Hanun, which was being used as a shelter by hundreds of Palestinians fleeing a major Israeli operation in the area.

“Precise coordinates of the UNRWA shelter in Beit Hanun had been formally given to the Israeli army,” Chris Gunness said on his Twitter account.

U.S. Pork Producers Keep Using Drug Banned or Restricted in 160 Countries

Pig farmers in the United States have continued to feed a controversial drug to their livestock, choosing production needs over human and animal health concerns, according to critics.

The drug is ractopamine, which is given to 60% to 80% of all domestic pigs and cattle to make them grow leaner before slaughter. The Food and Drug Administration first approved it 15 years ago, claiming the drug was safe to use.

But food safety advocates disagree with this claim and the assertions of farmers who rely on the product made by Elanco, a division of drug maker Eli Lilly. They point out that 160 countries have either outlawed the drug or limited its use, while also noting the existence of 160,000 reports of pigs becoming ill or dying after being fed ractopamine.

The nonprofit Center for Food Safety cited information from the European Food Safety Authority showing ractopamine can cause increased heart rates in humans.

There have been many good reasons for this, including long memories of the post-countercultural crime wave that devastated, and in some cases destroyed, many American cities; conservatives’ penchant for law and order; and Americans’ widely shared disdain for the cops’ usual opponents.

Leaked Document Reveals US-EU Trade Agreement Threatens Public Health, Food Safety

A draft chapter of the U.S-EU trade agreement leaked today by the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (IATP) reveals public health and food safety could be at risk, according to an accompanying analysis. The leaked chapter concerns Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) issues—those surrounding food safety and animal and plant health—in the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) currently being negotiated. Only TTIP negotiators and security cleared advisors, mostly corporate representatives, can read and comment on draft negotiating texts.

Israeli Cabinet Mulls Further Escalation: At Least 718 Gazans Killed

The death toll in Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip continues to rise, with at least 718 Gazans now reported slain, overwhelmingly civilians, and thousands wounded. The death toll on the Israeli side stands at 34, 32 of them soldiers, and one civilian from the Philippines.

Among the soaring number of Palestinian civilians, an estimated 24% are children under the age of 18, reflecting the growing tendency of attacks on civilian neighborhoods killing entire families.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This genocidal carnage needs to be stopped; of course, with the US foreign policy enabling these practices, it is hard to imagine just how this is going to happen, in light of the fact that the Israeli government doesn't seem to give a rat's nether regions as to world opinion, which is hardening against this brutal killing of civilians quickly.

The only thing that might stop this is if all companies currently doing business with Israel pull their money out of Israeli banks, and refuse to to do business with Israeli companies at least until a cease-fire is declared.

Perhaps now is the perfect moment for the BDS movement to have its most practical effect possible, and push the Israelis to the bargaining table.

Game-changing US/Israel lies: Hamas and Iran demand Palestinian justice, not to ‘destroy Israel’

*hyperlinks live at source*

Americans receive rhetoric that Hamas threatens destruction of Israel, but without substantiation of this damning claim. This claim is often linked to Iran. In support of Israel’s war on Gaza, US Senate Resolution 498: “Whereas Hamas is a United States-designated terrorist organization whose charter calls for the destruction of the State of Israel...” Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Consul General Aharoni demonize Hamas on US television repeatedly, emphasizing Hamas intent to destroy Israel.

Israeli leadership continuously claims that Iran threatens to “wipe Israel off the map.” You may recall US presidential candidate Mitt Romney claimed making the same claim, joining previous Bush Administration leadership, Obama, McCain, Sarah Palin, Vice President Joe Biden (with three video clips of total 5-minutes to see and hear for yourself), Mrs. Clinton, Romney, Gingrich, Santorum, Bachmann, Perry, Huntsman (2-minute video to see and hear).

Government Confiscation of Dormant Assets

Ted Bauman
Activist Post

I had no idea — until I read about a similar system in Australia — that all 50 U.S. states now have laws on the books that allow them to seize “dormant” assets from their owners. These assets range from uncashed dividend checks to safe deposit boxes to actual bank accounts. Banks and other businesses are required to turn that property over to the states for “safekeeping.”

The problem is that states return less than a quarter of this supposedly “unclaimed” property to its rightful owners. One of the most egregious is California. California law used to say assets were unclaimed if the owner had no contact with the business for 15 years. But during various state budget crises, the waiting period was reduced to seven years, then five, then three. Legislators even tried for one year.

C’mon Alan! Bubbles Are Caused By Central Bankers, Not “Human Nature”

Alan Greenspan just cannot give up the ghost. During his baleful 18-year reign, the Fed was turned into a serial bubble machine—and thereby became a clear and present danger to honest free market capitalism and an enemy of the 99% who do not benefit from the Wall Street casino and the vast inflation of financial assets which it has enabled. His legacy is a toxically financialized economy that has extracted huge windfall rents from main street, and left it burdened with overwhelming debts and sharply reduced capacity for gains in real living standards and breadwinner jobs.

BREAKING NEWS FROM GAZA ~~ BEYOND HORRIBLE!

Gaza health ministry says Israeli shells killed at least 15 people and injured 200 in a UN-run school in Beit Hanoun.

With the UN Human Rights Council voting to investigate Israel for war crimes (I'll bet you can guess the one nation that voted against) I predict that Israel will "accidentally" attack more UN facilities in Gaza.

THE WAR IS MAKING ‘CRIMINALS’ OF ALL OF US

Yesterday, I was part of a delegation of activists from Jewish Voice for Peace and Jews Say No! who took over the Friends of the IDF headquarters in New York. Until we were arrested, we read the names and ages of the dead and sang songs of mourning, often with our voices breaking and tears rolling down our faces. We stood there for an hour, reading the names steadily, and still did not read them all.

As I was taken out in handcuffs to face a sea of about 30 police officers, I asked a staff member of the Friends of the IDF standing nearby, “Did you hear the names we read? Did you see that we read them for an hour and didn’t reach the end? Is this what you support? Are these the Jewish values you grew up with?”

As Jews, so many of us have been brought up on stories of our families’ lives hanging in the balance based on the courage of someone who had the choice to speak up or remain silent.

Chris Hedges: The Palestinians' Right to Self-Defense

If Israel insists, as the Bosnian Serbs did in Sarajevo, on using the weapons of industrial warfare against a helpless civilian population then that population has an inherent right to self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter. The international community will have to either act to immediately halt Israeli attacks and lift the blockade of Gaza or acknowledge the right of the Palestinians to use weapons to defend themselves.

Israel Transforms Tunnels into Gas Chambers

Prime Minister Netanyahu, every year on Holocaust Day, your nation cries crocodile tears for the gas chambers used during WWII. Shoah, you call it, a Biblical calamity.+ Your use of improvised gas chambers not only revokes your right to do so, but also defines you and your army as war criminals. Your place is in a trial chamber in Nuremberg.

Another botched execution? Arizona inmate took 2 hours to die

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer ordered a full review of the execution of Joseph Wood. The death row inmate remained alive, gasping for breath, for nearly two hours after the state began the execution.

The process began at 1:52 p.m. local time. After five minutes, officials reported Wood was sedated. At 2:02 p.m. he began breathing. A minute later, his mouth moved. The convicted killer was pronounced dead at 3:59 p.m. PT, one hour and 57 minutes after the execution started.

Wood’s lawyers filed an emergency court appeal Wednesday after the lethal injection did not immediately take effect, leaving him "gasping and snorting for more than an hour."

Human Rights Watch (HRW) Whitewashes Israel, The Law Supports Hamas: Reflections on Israel’s Latest Massacre

On 7 July 2014, Israel unleashed Operation Protective Edge against Gaza. When it launched a ground invasion on 18 July 2014, Israel had already killed 230 Gazan Palestinians, of whom 75 percent (171) were civilians and 20 percent (48) children, wounded more than 1,700, and destroyed or rendered uninhabitable hundreds of homes leaving more than 10,000 Gazans without shelter. On the other side, according to daily updates Palestinian projectiles had killed one Israeli civilian, wounded 18, and damaged three Israeli homes. It’s hard to conceive of a more disproportionate balance sheet in an alleged “war.”

Fine Print of the Food Wars: Monsanto and Biotech Industry Pushing for World Food Monopoly Through Seed Supply

Monsanto and friends, the biotech industry, its lobbyists and its paid media representation continue to push for monopoly control over the world’s food through its seed supply. This “empire” is being built on false foundations: that Monsanto is a creator/inventor of life and hence can own the seed through patents and that life can be engineered and machined like an iPhone.

Microsoft will merge separate versions of Windows into one unified operating system

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has confirmed that his company will amalgamate all major versions of Windows into one operating system. Speaking on the company's quarterly earnings call today, Nadella told analysts Microsoft will "streamline the next version of Windows from three operating systems into one single converged operating system." Describing the implications of the change, Nadella said "this means one operating system that covers all screen sizes."

Webmaster's Commentary:

This was the long range goal of Microsoft when they started Windows 8. They had to break it up on a platform basis just to get it out the door, but it was always understood that Microsoft wanted a single OS for all platforms to save development costs, no matter how inappropriate and wasteful it is for the end user.

In Seattle, Barack Obama talks of unease about world

“Part of people’s concern is just the sense that around the world, the old order isn’t holding and we’re not quite where we need to be in terms of a new order that’s based on a different set of principles, that’s based on a sense of common humanity, that’s based on economies that work for all people,” Obama said Tuesday, speaking at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser at an Italianate mansion across Lake Washington from the downtown skyline.

AIPAC Is the Only Explanation for America's Morally Bankrupt Israel Policy

The official name for Israel's latest assault on Gaza is "Operation Protective Edge." A better name would be "Operation Déjà Vu." As it has on several prior occasions, Israel is using weapons provided by U.S. taxpayers to bombard the captive and impoverished Palestinians in Gaza, where the death toll now exceeds 500. As usual, the U.S. government is siding with Israel, even though most American leaders understand Israel instigated the latest round of violence, is not acting with restraint, and that its actions make Washington look callous and hypocritical in the eyes of most of the world.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Not to mention the American people.

Fears grow other groups may join Hamas fight vs. Israel after Kerry peace effort fails

Hamas rejected Secretary of State John F. Kerry’s call for a cease-fire amid concerns that an agreement won’t be reached before other parties are drawn into its conflict with Israel.

A new jihadi media outlet called Al Fawaris released a video Wednesday calling on Gazans to endure the military operation. Its message said victory looms and that Muslims all over the world support them.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Kerry went in there with a "deal" which gives Israel everything it wants (namely all of HAMAS weapons) and nothing HAMAS wants (open borders, use of their own seaport and fishing waters, rights to the natural gas off of their coast). Of course HAMAS turned it down.

U.S. Senators Pledge Support for Israeli Ground Invasion

Hours after the Israel Defense Forces began its ground operation in the Gaza Strip on July 17, U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) spoke on the Senate floor to express their support of Israel and its operation, while denouncing the Palestinian Authority’s unity government and the moral equivalency drawn by those critical of Israel’s actions.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Okay guys, if you really feel that way; here are your rifles, and here are your parachutes. We ran out of the desert camo so here are a couple day-glo orange jumpsuits left over from Abu Ghraib. Watch your heads climbing into that transport plane and we will call HAMAS and tell them you are on your way to kick their butts all by yourself.

But We The People have had it with a Congress obsessed with Israel while the United States crumbles before our eyes. We need leaders who will put America first, second, and third. If you love Israel so much and support their wars of aggression, please live there and join in. BUT WE PLAN TO IGNORE EVERYTHING YOU SAY, AND KEEP OUR KIDS SAFE AT HOME, ESPECIALLY AFTER THAT WHOPPER ABOUT SADDAM'S NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

British band launch "Massive Attack" on Israel at Longitude Festival in Dublin

Award-winning band and veteran political activists Massive Attack used their headline slot at Longitude Festival this weekend to highlight their solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.

The musicians played at Marlay Park, Dublin, on Sunday, kicking off their set with ‘Battlebox’ before using their backdrop to send out messages to the packed audience.

As the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) continues to bombard Gaza with air strikes while Hamas fires rockets into Israel, Massive Attack used its position to show its long-time support of Palestinian freedom.

A lit-up message behind the performers said: “Gaza has been ocupied [sic] or under restrictions since 1948.”

The group also displayed the number of lives lost in Gaza, the Irish Mirror reports, during a performance of ‘Unfinished Sympathy,’ which was met with huge applause from the crowd.

Political Bestiality: The Israeli Pogrom of Gaza

Let’s start with terms: “bestiality,” bestial is marked by base or inhuman instincts or desires, brutal, to which bestiality adds, display or gratification of bestial traits or impulses; “pogrom,” an organized massacre of helpless people, specifically [and ironically], such a massacre of Jewish people. (Webster’s) Singly, and in combination, I believe we have an accurate description of Israel’s aggression in Gaza, the irony of course being that we see a replay of the barbarous treatment of the Jews practiced throughout history now instead being carried forward by Jews themselves in, yes, a massacre, as brutal as in Czarist times, of Gazans.

U.S. Lifts Israel Flight Ban as Gaza Death Toll Reaches 700

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration lifted its ban on commercial flights traveling to Tel Aviv late Wednesday as diplomatic efforts failed to forge a truce between Israel and militants in Gaza. US Airways announced its service to Tel Aviv would resume Thursday, and some other carriers said flights would resume Friday. Meanwhile, Israel continued assaults and strikes into the Gaza Strip Thursday morning.

The Transformation of America Into A Failed State

When you look at the things going on in America today it is easy to see the similarities with this plan. To the south, our borders are open and a mass of humanity is flooding in and changing the demographics of the southwest. Further to the north our northern states are being flooded with Muslim refugees and changing the demographics there. At the same time, patriotic Americans are being demonized by the government and along with Christians and veterans are being pushed toward civil war by Government actions.

When you consider the Mid-East and look at the U.S it becomes easy to see the plan unfolding to create chaos here and prevent Americans from uniting against the forces that want to prepare us for subjugation.

Gohmert: A Friend Will Not Put Another Friend in this Kind of Jeopardy

Webmaster's Commentary:

Look at all the things going wrong with the US today and still the Congress obsesses about Israel, Israel, Israel! At 45 seconds, Gohmert calls for the bombing of Iran's nuclear facilities to please his masters in Tel Aviv, apparently unconcerned that both Iran and the US have signed and ratified the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, which means the US Government recognizes Iran's right to have those peaceful nuclear facilities Gohmert wants to bomb to please Israel. That such a blatant violation of a treaty agreement would severely damage what remains of the US Government's credibility is not a problem for Gohmert. In his bought-and-paid-for opinion, whatever Israel wants, Israel gets, no matter what it costs the American people!
