Did Obama Just Unify America’s Enemies?

America’s airstrikes inside Syria against both the Islamic State, often known as ISIL, and Al Qaeda’s primary affiliate in Syria, Jabhat al-Nusra, come with some obvious benefits — taking on a genuine threat to U.S. interests and security — but may also expose the United States to some unintended consequences — dangers that could haunt the United States for years to come.

'Barbarians': Boehner Says America May Need Ground Troops to Fight ISIS

House Speaker John Boehner says the United States may have "no choice" but to send American troops to fight ISIS militants if the current U.S. strategy fails to extinguish the extremist group.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Okay John, if you really feel that way, here's your rifle and here's your parachute. We ran out of the desert camo but here is a bright day-glo orange jumpsuit left over from the CIA's torture centers and we think the cleaners got most of the blood out. Watch your head climbing into that transport plane and we will call Assad and tell him you are on your way to kick his butt all by yourself.

But We The People remember the lies about stolen incubators that tricked us into the first invasion of Iraq.

We The People remember the lies about Saddam's nuclear weapons that tricked us into the second invasion of Iraq.

We The People remember how only a year ago you tried to trick us into war with Syria with more lies about poison gas.

We The People remember how there weren't really torpedoes in the Gulf of Tonkin or a Spanish mine in Havane Harbor, but how there really WERE weapons on board the Lusitania.

In short, We The People remember all the lies, frauds, and deceptions used to trick us into wars of conquest, to send our young people out to die in wars created out of thin air by and for the money-junkies. I think it is time that wee have a new rule in America; that those who want war are the first to the front lines. You are all splendidly brave with the lives of other peoples' children. Let's see the true measure of your courage and commitment to war.

You first!

Turkish tanks take up position on Syrian border next to besieged Kurdish town

Turkish tanks took up position on a hill overlooking the besieged Syrian border town of Kobane on Sept. 29 after several shells hit Turkish territory as militants of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) fired on the town, a Reuters correspondent said.

At least 15 tanks were positioned, some with their guns pointed towards Syrian territory, near a Turkish military base just northwest of Kobane. Plumes of smoke rose up as shells hit both the eastern and western sides of the city.

More tanks and armoured vehicles moved towards the Syrian border after at least two shells hit Turkish territory on Sept. 29, without causing damage.

Media censor Argentine president’s remarks at UN

The Argentine president questioned countries such as the United States for attacking groups, including the ISIL Takfiri terrorists which Washington previously backed against the Syrian government.

“Where do ISIS (ISIL) and Al-Qaeda take their guns from? Yesterday’s freedom fighters are today’s terrorists,” Cristina Fernandez said, blasting US policies vis-a-vis terrorism.

The ISIL terrorists, who were initially trained by the CIA in Jordan in 2012 to destabilize the Syrian government, control large parts of Syria’s northern territory. The group sent its members into neighboring Iraq in June and seized large parts of land there.

Obama’s Fake Pretext: “Going After the Super-Evil Khorasans Who are About to Attack Us”

Agence France-Presse reports:

The US says it has hit a little-known group called “Khorasan” in Syria, but experts and activists argue it actually struck Al-Qaeda’s affiliate Al-Nusra Front, which fights alongside Syrian rebels.

In announcing its raids in the northern province of Aleppo on Tuesday, Washington described the group it targeted as Khorasan, a cell of Al-Qaeda veterans planning attacks against the West.

But experts and activists cast doubt on the distinction between Khorasan and Al-Nusra Front, which is Al-Qaeda’s Syrian branch.

“In Syria, no one had ever heard talk of Khorasan until the US media brought it up,” said Rami Abdel Rahman, director of the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

US in 'near continuous' strikes against ISIS in Syria

The U.S.-led coalition widened its airstrikes against ISIS in Syria on Saturday as part of "near continuous" raids against the jihadists.

The targets were said to include ISIS fighters around the mainly Kurdish town of Ain al-Arab where a jihadist advance has sent 160,000 refugees streaming into nearby Turkey.

The coalition also hit ISIS in the central province of Homs for the first time as well as in the town of Minbej, near the western limit of the group's control, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

The expanded operations in Syria by Washington and its Arab allies came after three more European governments deployed fighter jets for strikes against ISIS in Iraq, freeing up U.S. air power.

US Bombed ‘Empty Buildings’ in Airstrikes on ISIL in Syria

According CNN Middle East correspondent Arwa Damon (photo, above), residents from the town of Raqqa, in northeastern Syria had “mixed reactions to US strikes”. The reason given was a real shocker:

Damon revealed on air early Wednesday that ISIL terrorists who were held up in the town may have been tipped off weeks in advance to the US airstrikes on Tuesday. According to Damon:

“15-20 days before the airstrikes, (ISIL) buildings were evacuated, and fighters then mixed in with the local population”.

Maybe Damon let the truth slip out by accident, or maybe she was trying to do what US journalists so often are not allowed to do by challenging Washington’s prefabricated narrative. Regardless, CNN’s chief war enthusiast Wolf Blitzer did not feel the need to pursue the point.

The Campaign Against ISIL Could Cost $1.5B a Month

On September 22, the air campaign against ISIS expanded into Syria in a coordinated attack that included 47 Tomahawk missiles and nearly 50 coalition aircraft. This action had been all but inevitable since the commencement of overflight reconnaissance in Syria on August 26. Significantly, these strikes also included targets of the Khorasan Group, an al-Qaeda affiliate unrelated to ISIS. Also significantly, five Arab militaries—Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Qatar—participated in the operation. At this stage, there are three important questions to address: the targeting of the strikes, the implications of this action, and potential challenges that might await the operation moving forward.

Bahraini fighter jets join Syria strikes

Bahraini fighter jets have joined US-led air strikes in Syria to prevent extremist fighters from expanding throughout the region.

The US operation included the Royal Bahrain Air Force (RBAF) and military forces from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE and Jordan, which was part of an international action plan to stamp out the Islamic State (IS) terrorist organisation, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Webmaster's Commentary:

But there is one thing I want to share with our readers, because I am pretty sure that some of you will have a resonance with this.

Turkey Preparing for Syria Occupation?

As Western-backed terrorists drive allegedly tens of thousands of refugees into Turkish territory, and amid what is being called a "sustainable, persistent campaign" of air assaults, missile strikes, and other assorted attacks on Syrian territory, the West is preparing to dust off plans to establish a "buffer zone" in northern Syria protected by NATO troops - particularly from Turkey.

Hurriyet Daily News in its article, "Turkey’s top soldier inspects troops on Syrian border as gov't signals joining anti-ISIL bid, " indicated Turkey was preparing to join the unilateral, illegal strikes on Syria led by the US and backed by several Persian Gulf autocracies. Hurriyet reported:

Turkey’s land forces commander inspected troops along the Syrian border on Sept. 24, as the Turkish government signaled a policy change in actively joining the international coalition led by the United States against the jihadist threat in Iraq and Syria.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Turkish Parliament is set to introduce legislation providing troops for the US-backed anti ISL forces next week.

Report: U.S. Air Strike in Syria Kills Six Children, Zero ISIS Members

According to a report by Al-Jazeera, which is aligned with Qatar, a vehement supporter of the U.S. military campaign against ISIS, missiles targeting the town of Kafr Diryan destroyed two residential areas, killing 27 people, most of whom were civilians.

“The locals say that this is the first time that they were attacked by missiles since the outbreak of Syrian revolution. A Look Inside The Secret Deal With Saudi Arabia That Unleashed The Syrian Bombing

And, not surprising, it is once again Assad whose fate was the bargaining chip to get the Saudis on the US' side, because in order to launch the incursion into Syrian sovereign territory "took months of behind-the-scenes work by the U.S. and Arab leaders, who agreed on the need to cooperate against Islamic State, but not how or when. The process gave the Saudis leverage to extract a fresh U.S. commitment to beef up training for rebels fighting Mr. Assad, whose demise the Saudis still see as a top priority."

In other words, John Kerry came, saw and promised everything he could, up to and including the missing piece of the puzzle - Syria itself on a silver platter - in order to prevent another diplomatic humiliation.

Webmaster's Commentary:

For me, the wild card in this equation is, how far will Russia allow the regime in Damascus to fall before they feel they feel compelled to act?!?

And what, precisely, is Putin prepared to do?

Wish I had a "Vulcan mind-meld" capability - at a distance - on this.

The way Obama has gone in with bomb strikes in Iraq and Syria, it does not appear that there is any way he can, or will, de-escalate any time soon.

Pentagon War Plans in 2001: Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, & Iran

Here is the transcript of Gen. Clark’s account.
CLARK: About 10 days after 9/11, I went to the Pentagon, and I saw [Defense] Secretary [Donald] Rumsfeld and Deputy Secretary [Paul] Wolfowitz. I went downstairs to say hello to some of the people on the joint staff that used to work for me.

One of the generals called me in and said, “Sir, you gotta come in and talk to me.” I said, “Sir, you’re too busy.” And he said, “No, no! We’ve made the decision — we’re going to war with Iraq!” This is on or about the 28th of September. I said, “We’re going to war with Iraq? Why!?” He said, “I don’t know!” He said, “I guess they don’t know what else to do.” So I said, “Did they find some information connecting Saddam to al Qaeda?” He said, “No, no, there’s nothing new that way. They just made the decision to go to war with Iraq.” He said, “I guess its like we don’t know what to do about terrorists, but we’ve got a good military and we can take down governments.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

OK , folks; if it wasn't clear to you that these invasions are part of a long-form plan before reading what General Clark had to say, I would like to hope that you do now.

There was a marvelous line in the second Sherlock Homes film, where the Moriarty character says that he wants to control the market on bullets and bandages for the coming war.

And this is no different than the military industrial corporations which are collectively SALIVATING over the next major military confrontation the US will be having, because the profitability of such a war for them will be extraordinarily high.

Wars are NEVER about our safety, security, and alleged "freedoms"; it is all about private corporate profit, and this is why our young men and women in uniform are going to die and get maimed for life in the horrendous military confrontation I see coming, which may well engulf the entire world.

“Humanitarian Air Strikes” against Syria: U.S. Breaks International Law, Again

The United States, assisted by a handful of Arab nations, conducted air strikes on Syria on 23rd September. The attacks mark a striking expansion in America’s military campaign against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and have occurred without the consent of the Syrian government. A U.S. State Department official confirmed that the Syrian government was not asked for authorisation, saying: “We did not seek the regime’s permission, we didn’t coordinate our actions with the Syrian government, and Secretary [of State John] Kerry did not send a letter to the Syrian regime.” The U.S. airstrikes are therefore a clear violation of international law, as Damascus had earlier said that any direct action by the United States within Syria would constitute an act of war and a breach of its sovereignty.

US Bombed ‘Empty Buildings’ in Airstrikes on ISIL in Syria

This surprising admission by CNN would mean that the US military may have only destroyed empty buildings in Raqqa, and that Washington’s inflated claims of dead ISIL fighters are probably exaggerated. Concealed By U.S. Airstrikes Israel Opens Nusra Path To Lebanon

Under the protection of the U.S. attack on IS and other targets Israel now practically established a no-fly-zone next to the Golan which will allow Jabhat al-Nusra to safely use the corridor and to attack Hizbullah in Qalamoun and in south Lebanon. It also opens space for new attacks on Damascus.

The U.S. attack on the IS in Syria will, as the NYT headlines express, have as little effect as such attacks have in Iraq. Without coordinating air attacks with a capable, available ground force like the Syrian army such strikes on IS will make no conceivable difference. I have yet to see any report that the U.S. planes have hit some of the major weapons or ammunition depots the IS captured from the Iraqi army. Peter King on ISIS: Be Ready for Attacks on US Soil

Intensifying U.S. airstrikes against the Islamic State (ISIS) could provoke members of the terror group already on U.S. soil to stage attacks here, Rep. Peter King tells Newsmax TV.

"First of all, these people would've attacked us anyway, but they may feel an urgency to do it now to show that ISIS can fight back, that ISIS is not going to take this," King, a New York Republican, said Tuesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show."

"We always have to be alert to them, [but] we have to be even more so now because they want to show . . . the Muslim world they're not going to sit back and take [it], they're going to fight back."

King, a member of the House Homeland Security Committee and chairman of the House Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence, said he approves of intensified U.S. airstrikes against jihadists in the Middle East, although he wishes it had happened sooner.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A memo to Congressional Representative Peter King: if in fact ISIS (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) is able to attack the mainland, it means that every bit of surveillance, crotch groping at the airport, and spying by this government, has led to absolutely no actionable intelligence to prevent this from happening.

The "moderate opposition" that US President Barack Obama said Washington would train and equip to address the Islamic State (IS) militant threat in Iraq and Syria does not exist, Maj. Gen. Yahya Suleiman told Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency on Tuesday.

"We are accustomed to the fact that the United States is often hypocritical. The biggest hypocrisy was displayed by the American side, when the US president announced that there is a "moderate opposition" in Syria. However, this was nothing more than a figment of his [Barack Obama's] own imagination," Maj. Gen. Suleiman said.

"At the same time, such a statement had special meaning and was made in order to satisfy the US allies that got involved in a conspiracy against Syria - especially the Gulf states led by Saudi Arabia. That is why the United States, feeding them with promises, agreed that they prepare 5,000 fighters," Maj. Gen. Suleiman added.

Webmaster's Commentary:

But that is not all; as reported on 12 September at antiwar.com

Over the past few months, the Syrian Civil War has taken a back seat to the “war within a war” of faction fighting between ISIS and various other rebel groups. That seems to be coming to an end. Today, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that ISIS and other significant rebel factions, including both Islamist and “moderate” groups, have signed a mutual non-aggression pact in a Damascus suburb.

Major General Suleiman is right when he talks about "moderate Syrian rebels" being a figment of Obama's imagination. But these recurring figments of Obama's imagination are reeking of hubris, a tin ear, and have come dangerously close to committing this country into war with both Russia and China.

Were Congress not so woefully disingenuous, inept and impotent, they would have stopped Obama from this horrific act of war against a sovereign nation which has done absolutely nothing to harm the US.

US Airstrikes in Syria

Airstrike against an ISIL compound on compound northwest of Ar Raqqah, Syria, Sept. 23, 2014:

Webmaster's Commentary:

I don't see people fleeing the scene, and there are no secondary explosions indicating anything flammable was hit. Is the US bombing empty buildings as part of this theater presentation? Or are we making the same mistakes we did in Vietnam, bombing "suspected truck parks" that turned out to be empty fields!

ISIS: Does President Obama Understand What He’s Getting Us Into?

Given the US’s wretched track record in the Middle East, including support for Israel’s recent massacre of innocents in Gaza, why would anyone here or abroad imagine yet another American military intervention would succeed when previous invasions, raids, bombing campaigns, occupations and economic sanctions have utterly failed?

The coming battle with Islamic State insurgents showcases American political immaturity, is emotionally driven and lacks a coherent political and military strategy. It is also unnecessary.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would suggest that Obama knows precisely what he is doing, but doesn't care about the consequences, in terms of loss of American life.

His faux populism aside, he has always, is, and will always be, the supreme tool of the corporations which vetted him, and put him into power twice.

And those corporations see war as a massive means for private profit. particularly those in the military industrial complex.

There is a wonderful line in the second Sherlock Homes movie where the Moriarty character states that (and this is a very loose re imagining) that when the war comes, he wants to be the person who controls both the bullets and the bandages.

And of course, banks love wars, because they have absolutely no scruples about to which countries they lend money, because it will all be paid back at interest (actually, paid back by the citizens of those countries waging war!).

Putin: Airstrikes Against IS in Syria Should Not Be Conducted Without Government Consent

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a phone conversation with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, said that airstrikes against the Islamic State (IS) targets in Syria should not be conducted without consent of Syrian government, the Kremlin said on Tuesday.

"Vladimir Putin and Ban Ki-moon have exchanged opinions on efforts of the international community joined against the 'Islamic State' group. Russian side emphasized, that airstrikes against the Islamic State terrorists' bases, located on the territory of Syria, should not be conducted without the consent of Syrian government," the Kremlin press service said in a statement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Sorry, Vlad: it is painfully apparent that Obama did not get the memo on this.

So now, the question must be asked: what is the Russian government prepared to do to prevent this from escalating?!?

Tim Kaine: Congress Has Opened The Door To The 'Cheney Pre-emptive War Doctine'

As bombs dropped over Syria Monday evening, marking the beginning of a U.S.-led effort to eradicate the Islamic State in that country, most members of Congress were back at home.

The legislative branch adjourned its business at the end of last week to tend to elections. In doing so, it left unresolved the issue of authorizing the war that President Barack Obama would start days later. Congressional inaction didn't upend the White House's plans; the administration had already claimed it had legal authority to launch such strikes in Syria.

But by leaving town before the president started operations, lawmakers may have done serious harm to their own institution, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) argued in an interview with The Huffington Post. Not only had they diminished the standing of Congress with respect to the executive branch, they also may have given unintended consent to a Dick Cheney-like vision of presidential war powers.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A memo to this Congress; congrats, folks, for starting World War III for real, by not preventing this President from bombing Syria. You MUST feel very proud of yourselves, don't you?!?

I am curious; just WHEN, before you went on your re-election vaycay, did you know that Obama was just going to haul off and do this, particularly Representative Peter King and the House Armed Services Committee?!?

And IF you believed for one moment that your going on your little re-election blitz was going to give you plausible deniability on just what was coming down, after you rabbited out of DC on Friday,I have two words for you on that, and they are, HELL, NO!!!!!

Let me be clear; the reinvasion of the Middle East has to do with controlling to whom the oil is sold, and in what nation's currency, which is they primary concern here. It has nothing to do with our "freedoms" (those which are left after the passage of the Patriot Act, the Homeland Security Act, and the NDAA)

The hope, in the bowels of DC, is to install some US-Centric government in Syria, and manage the wreckage which is the Iraqi government and military. There is also a great deal of hope that Syria will invoke its mutual defense pact with Iran, which will give the Israel-firsters in DC the "justification" for invading Iran.

But there are two aspects of combat here which never seems to be discussed, and it is the two five hundred pound gorillas sitting on the Steinway; I am referring to Russia and China.

I would like to politely remind you that this country could not expect to win in a conventional war against either country, because we do not have the troop strength, the money, or the manufacturing to make that happen.

The weapons the US government has purchased are very costly, but that does not make them better than those produced by Russian or Chinese arms makers. In fact, Russian warheads are maneuverable, which means that US military has no real defense against them.

By not stopping Obama from taking this road, you have completely abandoned your responsibilities to your alleged constitutents, as the Constitution clearly states that only Congress can declare war.

But constituents have become irrelevant and expendable, courtesy of all the contributions you so gratefully accept from the large corporations which fund your elections, particularly those from the military industrial-defense complex, right?!?

But I will share with you a scenario which is very likely to happen, should this country go to full-on war with Russia and China, and perhaps make your voters relevant again.

Your constituents' kids, who volunteered for the miltitary because there were no other viable job options, are going to start coming home in cheap metal coffins by the thousands, or so mangled and maimed that they will never be the same again.

Because you allowed this war to happen, the anti-incumbency fervor is going to grow to fever pitch, and come November, every single incumbent up for re-election, for refusing to stop this madness, will be voted out of office (if we have elections in November).

To all those who signed of on this, you are wretched cowards of the highest magnitude, because for you, having other people's kids killed or maimed in the pursuit of private profit is perfectly acceptable; it is as though you have had your conscience surgically removed before taking your alleged Oath of Office, making you illegitimate representatives of constituents truly on the edge of absolute fury at your lousy decision making.

Turkey Provides Support to the Islamic State (ISIL) to Topple Syrian Government and Destabilize Iraq

But the ultimate overarching goal of Turkey has been that is inclusion and in cooperation with both Saudi Arabia and Qatar is to oust the Syrian regime.

That is the utmost priority, destabilize Iraq and weaken the Iraqi government with the ultimate goal of creating a regional government in the Western area of Iraq and also the irreplaceable goal of Saudi Arabia has been to roll back and dramatically and severely undermine the ever-growing Iranian influence and that is why we have seen the ISIS being armed, financed and also provided logistical support.

And the strategy have been widened from focusing simply on Syria in order to topple the Syrian regime to also include and engulf Iraq by pushing or giving the green light to ISIS to move into Iraq and move ever closer to the Iranian border to use it as a means or leverage to rolling back what the Saudis have claimed that the Iranian influence have grown and they find it as their overarching goal to actually destabilize Iraq …

Obama Administration Is Paying Monthly Salaries to “Thousands” of ISIS and Al Nusrah Syrian Rebels

Since around that time ISIS has traveled around the Caliphate in their brand new Toyota Hilux trucks.
Paid for by US taxpayers.

Last night's airstrikes on ISIS in Syria came as a surprise to some (though apparently not ISIS who local reporters note had time to move weapons and personnel) as President Obama - and his local arab nation allies (acting in support), though notably no Western nations - unleashed hell on Assad's sovereign territory. The first stirrings of responses from Russia have been creeping out and now Israel is involved in the anti-ISIS coalition. The State Department has just confirmed that they did not give advance warning to the Syrian regime. White House Has No International Legal Justification for Hitting ISIS in Syria

The White House has an answer for critics who want to know how the Obama administration can justify striking ISIS inside Syria under international law: If and when we actually do it, we will come up with a legal justification then.

The Obama administration has explained at length why it believes it has the domestic legal justification for using airstrikes in Syria; they have claimed they don’t need Congressional authorization because the 2001 authorization for the use of military force against the perpetrators of 9/11 and the 2002 authorization to take down Saddam Hussein applies to the ISIS war. The New York Times called the explanations “perplexing” and insufficient. (After all, al Qaeda and ISIS have sporadically fought with one another, and the Saddam regime is long gone.)

Power: Syria Rebel Training to Aid in Fight Against Assad

US Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power insisted the US plan to train and arm a new faction of Syrian rebels was not aimed simply at the destruction of ISIS, but was also meant to fight the Assad government in Syria.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Madame Ambassador, is it humanly possible for you to stop lying to both the American people and the world?!? OR is it conceivable that you, of ALL people, did not "get the memo"?!? As reported on 12 September, 2014, at antiwar.com:

Over the past few months, the Syrian Civil War has taken a back seat to the “war within a war” of faction fighting between ISIS and various other rebel groups. That seems to be coming to an end. Today, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that ISIS and other significant rebel factions, including both Islamist and “moderate” groups, have signed a mutual non-aggression pact in a Damascus suburb.

There are only two possibilities here; that you didn't know this to be the case (and in THAT scenario, you need to be sacked, and immediately, for utter, sloppy ignorance), or that you are lying to both the American people and the world.

The reason for an attack on Syria is about controlling its oil, and the monetary denominations in which such oil is - or is not - sold. You and this Administration are hoping ardently that such a blatant act of war against Syria will get Syria and Iran to invoke their mutual defense treaty, as the "justification" for an attack against Iran, ushering in regime change there also.

But understanding that the basic prerequisite for working for this administration is the complete, pathological inability to think ANYTHING through, let me ask a critical question here: what are you expecting Russia and China to do if the US attacks Iraq, Syria, and possibly Iran?!?

Is this the level of alleged collective reasoning that you, and your colleagues, do not understand the military and geopolitical ramifications of such an act?!? Are you all actively working toward a war with Russia and China which may very well go nuclear?!?

IF this is the design intent on the part of this Administration, the 25th amendment needs to be invoked against this President, immediately, and the rest of the administration get fired.

Because NO sane individual could possibly be advocating for a war against China and Russia by attacking Iraq, Syria, and Iran.

John McCain’s Whoops Moment: Photographed Chilling With ISIS

Does anyone remember when I wrote an article last year about John McCain being a traitor? Does the man in the red circle look familiar? Everyone put on your shocked face for John McCain’s whoops moment. It seems the Arizona Senator that is upset at Obama for the mess in Iraq was photographed chilling out with ISIS terrorist leaders in Syria!

Senator John McCain is making headlines but not for saying he was happy Eric Holder is persecuting illegal aliens or his lie about Holder investigating the VA, even though Eric Holder doesn’t have plans to prosecute people in the VA. He even seems a little hot under the collar about losing Iraq, but that isn’t why he’s in the headlines today.

He seems to forget that he was photographed, and those photographs were broadcast world wide, with the same individuals that are causing the trouble in Iraq and Syria and deemed too violent to represent Al Qaeda.

Obama ‘ready for Syria ground war’ as Kurds flee

The United States will have to resort to sending “some troops on the ground” in Syria should President Barack Obama aim to destroy the Islamic State or Iraq and Syria (ISIS) group, a senior U.S. Congressman told this week’s Sunday Times.

The west is facing a “long, hard war” against ISIS, Republican Peter King said, adding that Obama was reviewing his refusal to send ground troops after military advisers said they would be needed.

These remarks come after 70,000 Syrian Kurds poured into Turkey since Friday fleeing an offensive by ISIS militants in northeastern Syria, the U.N.'s refugee agency said Sunday.

By ruling out sending troops to Syria, King said Obama is sounding an “uncertain trumpet.”

Following General Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, address to Congress in which he said that ground intervention may be necessary; King said the “military message is getting through” to Obama.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A memo to Representative King: sir, military intervention here in the Middle East is the LAST approach the US should be taking at this time.

Americans understand that this is all about Middle Eastern oil, and in what national currency it will - or will not - be sold.

I would like to politely remind you that the US government does not have the money, the manufacturing, or the troop strength, to insure a positive outcome to such a military action. And if you don't believe me, take a good hard look at the debacles which have happened in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Yemen.

And any military attack against the sovereign nation of Syria will be considered by the rest of the world a blatant act of war upon it.

We understand, very clearly, that what the US and Israel hopes will happen here will be for Syria and Iran to invoke their joint mutual defense act, as the "reason" for attacking Iran, and creating regime change there.

But there is one piece of the equation you are deliberately NOT discussing with the American people, and that is: if either Syria and/or Iran are attacked, just what precisely will Russia and China do?!?

I do not think you believe that either Putin or the Duma, or the Chinese leadership, will sit collectively on their hands and start singing "Kumbya".

So is THIS your strategy for engaging in a war with Russia and China?!? If so, sir, you had better think again, and very carefully, about this.

Because of the US military not having the resources to insure a positive outcome to a conventional war with Russia, the US military will most likely employ its nuclear capabilities. And THAT is where things get truly ugly; the unintended consequences to this may be both horrific... and irreversible.

Congress Votes for More War in the Middle East

Last week, the House and Senate voted to rubber stamp President Obama's war plans for the Middle East. Both bodies, on a bipartisan basis, authorized the US to begin openly training and arming the rebels who have been fighting for three years to overthrow the Assad government in Syria.

Webmaster's Commentary:

... as opposed to having covertly supported them right from the start. I think we ought to load the entire Congress into military transports, hand them rifles, and send them to Syria. Congress (and Obama) are splendidly brave with other people's lives. It's time to see the measure of their true courage and commitment to war!

Panetta says US paying the price for not arming Syrian rebels

Former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta said Sunday that he believes the Islamic State terror group was able to flourish in part because the U.S. entered the conflict in Syria too late, saying the Obama administration should have armed the country’s moderate rebels earlier.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What the US should have done was leave other countries alone and build peace through commerce based on strong manufacturing and agriculture. But the US financial system became lazy because of the wealth pouring in through Bretton-Woods forcing the rest of the world to borrow dollars at interest before they could engage on cross-border trade and banking, and the petro-dollar deal, which collected the same mafia-like "piece of the action" for natural resources around the globe. So, to force the world to continue this scheme, the US Government has followed a policy of covert overthrow of foreign governments and installation of puppet regimes that loot their own people to prop up the American empire. Since the end of WW2 the US has covertly tried to overthrow the governments of more than fifty other nations, succeeding about half the time. Well-known successes are Iran in 1953 and Chile in 1973. Well known failures would include Iran in 2009 and Ukraine. The US started to covertly overthrow Syria more than three years ago. The so-called "moderate" rebels are for the most part hired foreign mercenaries. The failed campaign to oust Assad has seriously destabilized the region and brought us to the edge of global war, and Panetta's solution is to do more of the exact same thing that got us into this mess in the first place!

For now, it appears, the only nation involved in the 'broad coalition' is France. Why? Because as we said yesterday, this is merely over fears of more BNPs. "A key component of this would be allied participation," said a U.S. official; does '1' ally count?

A Host of Possible Objections to Expanded Airstrikes in Syria

Airstrikes on Iraq were a fairly easy sell. The government in Baghdad asked for help in combating the Islamic State, and the United States answered its request.

That is perfectly legal under international law, diplomats agreed, and it helped to get dozens of European and Middle Eastern allies on board. The United Nations secretary general, Ban Ki-moon, applauded the airstrikes as a “decisive” move. Secretary of State John Kerry is now scheduled to preside over a Security Council meeting on Friday, at which more than 40 foreign leaders from as far afield as Germany and Qatar are expected to articulate their support for the American-led effort against the Islamic State, also known as ISIS, in Iraq.

But airstrikes on the group in Syria? That is another matter altogether.

Syrian children given anaesthesia not measles vaccination

Syria's opposition said Thursday that 16 children who died during a measles vaccination campaign in the mostly rebel-held province of Idlib had been given an anaesthesia additive by mistake.

"Reports point to the possibility of human error which led to atracurium being used in place of the solvent which should have been used with the vaccine," said opposition government chief Ahmad Tohme.

Tohme said the maximum dose of atracurium as used in general anaesthesia was 0.5 milligrammes per kilogramme (2.2 pounds) of bodyweight, whereas 5 milligramme doses were used with the children, enough to paralyse a child of less than 10 kilos.

An investigation is being carried out to determine any criminal responsibility and the whole vaccination team has been detained for questioning, he said, quoted on the exiled opposition's website.

Coalition to Fight the Islamic State Unlikely to Succeed

In President Obama's speech last week on ISIL, he said he is seeking a coalition to eliminate the IS. If there will be any boots on the ground, he said, it will be local boots. But this week, General Dempsey, chairperson of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said that if the coalition against ISIS fails, he will be urging President Obama to send U.S. ground forces. Much of the success of the coalition will be based on what happens in Syria.

After weeks of heavy fighting, rebel groups announced the seizure of 80 per cent of Qunietra province on Saturday, including areas along the border with Israel. The territory could prove to be a key link between opposition forces in the south and those fighting in and around the Syrian capital.

Obama: If Assad Defends Against US Attack, US Will Attack

Only hours after delivering his ridiculous address to the American people regarding his strategy to combat an organization that is entirely the product of the United States and NATO and one that is still under complete control of these powers, Obama conducted a meeting with “foreign policy experts,” former government officials, and journalists.

The meeting, of course, is nothing more than round two in the volley of propaganda coming from the White House in its attempt to drum up more support from the American people for direct military intervention in Syria and an open use of U.S. military forces against the secular government of Bashar al-Assad. All of those within an ear’s reach of the reports regarding Obama’s meeting should be firmly aware that it is nothing more than an attempt to milk the original speech for more propaganda against Assad’s Syria and provide a sense of inevitability about the coming conflict there.

The New "Regime Change" Plan - Attack Damascus From The South

There are serious active preparations for a new attack on Damascus. Anti-government forces, including the Al-Qaeda affiliate Jabhat al-Nusra, have been trained and equipped in Jordan and are now moving into their starting position in Quneitra governate in south-west Syria. (A similar plan in spring 2013 was only partially executed and later aborted.)

The anti-government forces now control a 40 miles (70km) long, three miles (5km) wide strip from Jordan along the Golan frontier up to Lebanon. This strip can be used to infiltrate into Hizbullah territory in south Lebanon but its main purpose is likely an attack on Damascus from the south. The Syrian military would have great difficulties to dislodge the anti-government forces from this strip as it is covered by Israeli anti-air and artillery fire.

Webmaster's Commentary:

When will this Administration collectively man up, and tell the American people the truth?!?

I am really, thoroughly disgusted with this government, and the interminable amounts of codswallop it expects Americans to swallow on a daily basis, in terms of the damned lies they are trying to get us to believe in to support this war.

This whole ISIS pretext for US military involvement, is about regime change in Syria and Iran, period, end of discussion.

The big questions here are, how soon Al-Assad will want to invoke his mutual defense pact with Iran, and just what Russia will do if, in fact, that mutual defense pact is invoked by Al-Assad.

Were I a betting woman, I would not bet against Russia getting involved militarily against the US in Iran's behalf.

And the hell of it is, neither the US nor Israel can reasonably expect to successfully wage a conventional war against Russia; they don't have the money, the manufacturing, or the troop strength to make this happen.

Additionally, I do not want to see the best and brightest of our military be killed or maimed for life over what is essentially a war for private profit.

And that is the dirty little secret of all wars; they are all ultimately about private profit.

MEGA BEX ALERT - Washington Risks Falling for Syria's ISIS Strategy, Again

But the White House is vowing to fight, declaring the United States is now at war with ISIS and will build an international coalition to crush the group. So far, the most enthusiastic response has come from the Syrian regime of Bashar Assad. It’s hardly surprising. In fact, it follows a consistent Syrian tactic of using Islamic militants to create instability — and then relying on the U.S. to destroy them.

Washington fell for it once, and may do so again. ISIS is in many ways a creation of the Syrian regime. Now Syria wants the U.S. to destroy the group.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So the latest propaganda is that ISIS is all Assad's fault, which makes as little sense as last year's propaganda that Assad was gassing his own Alawite supporters with a banned chemical weapons right in front of UN chemical weapons inspectors on the very day they arrived! Sen. Lindsey Graham went off on President Obama’s plan for combatting ISIS in Syria and Iraq, saying the plan to not put boots on the ground in Syria is “fantasy” and that the administration’s approach to the matter is “delusional.”

“This idea that we’re never going to have boots on the ground in Syria is fantasy. All this has come home to roost after the last three years of incompetent decisions,” said Graham.

Missing from the chorus of outrage, however, has been any acknowledgement of the integral role of covert US and British regional military intelligence strategy in empowering and even directly sponsoring the very same virulent Islamist militants in Iraq, Syria and beyond, that went on to break away from al-Qaeda and form ‘ISIS’, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or now simply, the Islamic State (IS).

According to a little-known November report for the US Joint Special Operations University (JSOU) and Strategic Studies Department, Dividing Our Enemies, post-invasion Iraq was “an interesting case study of fanning discontent among enemies, leading to ‘red-against-red’ [enemy-against-enemy] firefights.”

Contractors Ready to Cash In On ISIS War

Obama pledged that the war against ISIS won’t be fought with U.S. ground troops. He didn’t say anything about contractors, who see this as “the next big meal ticket.”

America’s rapidly-expanding war against ISIS won’t involve large numbers of U.S. troops on the ground, President Obama is promising. And it’s clear that airstrikes alone won’t beat back the extremist group. Which means that if the President wants to have any hope of meeting his far-reaching goal of destroying ISIS, he’s going to have to rely on private military contractors.

At least, that’s what the contractors are hoping.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Concealment: that is what this administration is all about; lies, lies, and more lies, to achieve its geopolitical goals.

There is no real difference between the objectives of Bush and Obama: control of Middle Eastern Oil, and having it paid for only with US dollars; the destruction of America's middle class through outsourcing/offshoring; and the destruction of any competing currency, like the Russian ruble or the Chinese yuan, through war if necessary.

So our best and brightest in our military will die, and be maimed for life, ultimately for corporate pursuit of private profit; cold comfort for their friends and family, but this is the hard truth.

Once you understand this, all the military misadventures in which this country has been mired ever since 2001 come into clear, sharp, and painful focus.

We are not having our freedoms protected by these wars; we are not any more safe because them, or because of the extrajudicial assassinations, upon which which President Bushbama is so keen, which have occurred.

After 9/11, the horrific pieces of legislation which have been put into place, like the Patriot Act, the Homeland Security Act, and the NDAA guarantee that the protections which used to exist under a rule of law, guaranteed by the Constitution and Bill of Rights, no longer exist.

The American Establishment Combats Resurgent “Isolationist” Threat

It had become apparent in 2013 that the American people had grown averse to America’s involvement in wars, and this was given empirical confirmation by a poll conducted by the Pew Research Center in November 2013, which revealed that 51 percent of Americans believed that their country’s military involvement was excessive.[1] Once again the bugaboo of isolationism entered the mainstream spotlight, the derogatory label being attached to those who would like to cut back America’s global intervention.[2] Opposition to the alleged resurgent isolationism united all sectors of the mainstream establishment–liberals, moderates, and conservatives, the ultra-interventionist neoconservatives and the more moderate traditional foreign policy establishment.

Islamic State Video Shows Beheading of Another Hostage

Islamic State extremists released a video showing the beheading of British aid worker David Haines, who was abducted in Syria last year, and British Prime Minister David Cameron late Saturday condemned his slaying as “an act of pure evil.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Even if the beheadings are real (and there is ample reason to doubt it), we do not know who is doing it, only who Rita Katz and her SITE Intelligence Group (linked to US and Israeli intelligence) wants you to blame for it! SITE likes to brag that they are able to release the videos before ISIS does, yet they also claim to "find" these videos online on ISIS websites. This is a logical paradox with no explanation other than SITE Intelligence is itself faking the videos, and it would not be the first time they have been caught doing so.

Lessons of Libya cast shadow on Syria strategy

Almost three years after the overthrow of Moammar Gadhafi, oil-rich Libya is in utter chaos, as militias fight for control of the country and its elected government has fled along with tens of thousands of citizens.

The turmoil in Libya is a cautionary tale as the United States enlists the help of moderate Syrian rebels to defeat the radical Islamic State and oust Syrian President Bashar Assad.

As occurred in Libya, U.S. intervention to remove an anti-U.S. regime could lead to another failed state and more instability in the Middle East.

Moderate rebels in Damascus suburb sign unprecedented non-aggression truce with the IS

The so-called moderate armed opposition groups in Syria have reportedly signed a mutual non-aggression pact with the IS terrorists.

The deal, brokered by al-Qaeda-linked group, al-Nusra Front, was signed in a Damascus suburb, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on Friday.

The agreement stipulates that all sides should respect a truce until the downfall of the government of President Bashar al-Assad.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This guarantees that if Assad is brought down, it will not be a US puppet that replaces him! The US just lost Syria, like it has lost Libya, and like it is losing Iraq!

US-Backed Moderate Group In Syria Signs Truce With ISIS: Reports

Moderate and Islamist rebel groups in a Damascus suburb in Syria signed a “non-aggression” agreement with the Islamic State (ISIS), a Syrian monitoring group said. Some of the brigades are part of the U.S.-backed Syrian Revolutionary Front but have now agreed to a truce in Hajar al-Assad with ISIS in order to take down Syrian President Bashar Assad, according to the Agence-France Press. The shifting alliances highlight the challenge faced by the Obama administration in its fight against ISIS in Syria: Even moderates supported by the U.S. can’t be relied on to help battle the terrorist group.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Pay no attention to the fact that the moderates I was sending weapons to in order to fight ISIS have just signed a non-aggression pact with them, we have a new beheading video for you to look at! See? See? Another beheading! Fresh from Rita Katz and her SITE Intelligence Group, famed for their connections to US and Israeli intelligence agencies and with a prior record for making fake videos! Look at the blood ... oh... wait, there is no actual blood. But look at the beheading and get angry. Real angry. Angry enough to fling your children onto the bayonets of the enemy that I, the President, have chose for you this week!" -- Official White Horse Souse

Australia contributing 600 troops, up to 10 aircraft to campaign against Islamic State group

Australia is preparing to contribute 600 troops and up to 10 military aircraft to the increasingly aggressive campaign against the Islamic State extremists in Syria and Iraq, Prime Minister Tony Abbott said Sunday.

Abbott said Australia was responding to a formal request from the United States for specific contributions to the international coalition.

President Barack Obama announced the more aggressive military campaign last week. Scores of U.S. airstrikes have been launched at select targets in Iraq, and U.S. planes and drones will be gathering intelligence on targets before launching airstrikes in Syria.

Australia will prepare up to eight F/A18 combat aircraft, an E-7A Wedgetail Early Warning and Control aircraft and a KC-30A Tanker and Transport aircraft to be deployed to the United Arab Emirates, a statement from Abbott's office said.

Congress Sees New War on ISIS as Ticket Out of Sequestration

“When America has a visible enemy, America usually unites,” noted an upbeat Sen. Bill Nelson (D – FL). And unity in Congress means runaway military spending.

The White House declaration that “we are at war” with ISIS is an extremely welcome sign to Congressional hawks, not just because they’re really into war, but also because it’s a great excuse to ditch sequestration and start hiking spending anew.

“We should have found a way to get rid of sequester long ago,” noted Senate Armed Services Chair Carl Levin (D – MI), who expressed hope that the new war “will help a little bit” with that. Sens. John McCain (R – AZ) and Lindsey Graham (R – SC) both declared anything short of a full end to spending caps a “great disservice” to the country, and a threat to the war goals.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have to wonder just how many of these warmongers in Congress, in both parties, own extensive shares in the military industrial complex.

We have homeless Vets sleeping in our streets; our public education system is a mess; our prisons are in a mess;and the previous wars in which this country is engaged have left the US morally and fiscally bankrupt.

So what does Congress want to do?!? Create more wars.

And we can see how catastrophically those wars have gone; Iraq is in meltdown; Afghanistan, 13 years on, can not be characterized as a military "win" in any way, shape or form; and Libya?!? Melting down in front of our eyes as I type this.

No one in Congress who supports these wars is worthy of being re-elected in the mid-terms in 2014; not one single person.

It is unfortunate that the US government doesn't have a voting mechanism for "none of the above", which would necessitate another election, until we finally get Congressional Representatives who actually represent We the People; not the huge corporations which fund election cycles.

Retired Gen. Hayden warns: Airstrikes can be like ‘casual sex’ without commitment

Retired Air Force Gen. Michael Hayden used a recent conference call with reporters to warn about the dangers of relying on air power to attain military objectives in the Middle East. The former director of both the CIA and the National Security Agency also raised eyebrows when he likened the temptation to lean on air power to casual sex.

“The reliance on air power has all of the attraction of casual sex: It seems to offer gratification but with little commitment,” said Gen. Hayden, U.S. News and World Report reported Thursday. “We need to be wary of a strategy that puts emphasis on air power and air power alone.”

Obama Declares War on Syria: Why the Real Target is Assad Not ISIS

Invoking the same ominous language as his predecessor, Barack Obama used a prime time presidential address on Wednesday to announce the beginning of a war on Syria. And while there's no doubt that many Americans will be confused by Obama's misleading focus on the terrorist organization named ISIL, the real purpose of the speech was to garner support for another decade of homicidal conflicts in the Middle East.

The administration is as determined as ever to plunge the region into chaos, erase existing borders, and install its puppets wherever it can. ISIL -- which is mainly an invention of western Intel agencies and their treacherous counterparts in the Gulf -- conveniently creates the justification for another bloody invasion followed by years of occupation, subjugation, and revolt.

‘Moderate’ Syria Rebels Sign Non-Aggression Pact With ISIS

Over the past few months, the Syrian Civil War has taken a back seat to the “war within a war” of faction fighting between ISIS and various other rebel groups. That seems to be coming to an end.

Today, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that ISIS and other significant rebel factions, including both Islamist and “moderate” groups, have signed a mutual non-aggression pact in a Damascus suburb.

The pact was said to have been brokered by al-Qaeda’s Jabhat al-Nusra, and agrees that all sides will respect a truce until the destruction of the “Nussayri” regime, a pejorative term for Alawites.

Webmaster's Commentary:

WHAT THE FLIP?!?!?

Would someone please tell me if these 'moderate' Syrian rebels are those same rebels who Obama wants to arm, after they have signed this non-aggression pact with ISIS?!?

This stands confirmed in Huffpo; YaLibnan; and ibtimes.

I am sorry, but the logic-challenged quality of the President's thinking just jumped the shark today, and our bovine excrement meter has just imploded spectacularly.

These are very delicate, costly instruments, and if the White House causes this to happen again, I will have to start billing them!! :-(

Obama’s ISIS War is Not Only Illegal, it Makes George W. Bush Look Like a Constitutional Scholar

Andrew J. Bacevich, the Boston University political science professor and former Army colonel who lost his son in the Iraq war in 2007, in a recent Reuters article.

I have spent the past several days outlining my deep concerns about the “ISIS crisis” and Obama’s willingness to employ extreme propaganda in order to once again embark on another poorly thought out military campaign here and here. What I have also come to realize is that his latest war plan is brazenly illegal and unconstitutional.

While critics have been questioning the legality of U.S. military campaigns consistently since the end of World War II, one trend has become increasingly clear. With each new President and each new war, we have witnessed those who hold the office act more and more like dictators, and less and less like constitutional executives.

Webmaster's Commentary:

When Obama orders the first bombing in Syria, it will be an unspeakable act of war against a sovereign nation which has not attacked, or done anything to harm, the United States.

Syria will have its Ambassador to the UN complain, but any discussion of this in the Security Council will be null and void, because the US will veto any resolution to attempt to get the bombing to stop.

This will be be both a violation of US law, and a violation of international law.

What appears to be happening here, is that Obama is playing picador with Syria in order to cause Syria to invoke its mutual defense pact with Iran.

At that point, the US government will scream about Iran and Syria daring to fight back, and attack Iran, which has been, the P5+1 negotiations not withstanding, been the goal all along.

Israel may well coordinate some military activity with the US because it wants to see Tehran burning in flames, and "regime change" happening here.

But the two thousand pound gorilla, snoring on the Steinway here, is Russia. Numerous Russian political and military leaders have stated, over the past several years, that should Iran be attacked, Russia will come to its aid militarily.

So ultimately, all these military misadventures are headed toward a war with Russia that the US government and military most likely cannot win, because we do not have the manufacturing, the money, or troop strength to insure a positive outcome.

However, in watching the corporate presstitutes' attempts to "groom" a war weary American people for war, and more war does not seem to be working this time, and DC is beginning to realize that its propaganda is not working.

We the People must speak out peacefully and honestly: let's fix the problems here at home before we have the hubris to tell other countries how to run their lives. No more war; no more funding for war; and no more corporate-funded candidates who do the work their corporate masters demand of them, but conveniently forget their alleged constituents.

Because if this doesn't end soon, we will see the entire world engulfed in a nuclear war which could well obliterate life as we know it.

President Obama Over-Ruled His Commanders on Ground Troops

[Campaigns in Somalia and Yemen] have dragged on for years and involve far smaller and less-well-financed adversaries than the Islamic State. Although Obama promised a “steady, relentless effort” in a nationally televised address Wednesday night, he also said that “it will take time to eradicate a cancer like ISIL,” using a common acronym for the Islamic State.

Such a mission was not the U.S. military’s preferred option. Responding to a White House request for options to confront the Islamic State, Gen. Lloyd Austin, the top commander of U.S. forces in the Middle East, said that his best military advice was to send a modest contingent of American troops, principally Special Operations forces, to advise and assist Iraqi army units in fighting the militants, according to two U.S. military officials

Just one day after Hassan Abboud and several top leaders of the Islamic Front were killed in a blast, the Islamic Front identified a new emir for Ahrar al Sham, one of its brigades. Abboud served as the head of the Islamic Front's political office and the emir of Ahrar al Sham, an al Qaeda ally in Syria. Abboud and other Islamic Front leaders killed in the blast were mourned by several top al Qaeda leaders in Syria. And the Al Nusrah Front, al Qaeda's official branch in Syria, officially eulogized the Islamic Front leaders.

Obama: There is a silver lining to rise of ISIS

While decrying the death and violence the Islamic State has brought across Syria and Iraq, President Obama said Friday that there is actually a “silver lining” to the militant group’s rise.

Speaking at a Democratic party fundraiser in Baltimore, the president said the Islamic State’s sheer brutality — evidenced by the beheadings of two American journalists, the murders of religious minorities and other horrific acts — should convince the rest of the Arab world that Islamist extremism must be confronted and defeated.

Government threatened Foley family before son’s execution

After a series of recent interviews, members of the Foley family have said the government threatened to prosecute their family if they had raised and paid the money for the ransom sought for the life of their son, James Foley.

According to ABC News, Diane Foley, the mother of James, said they were threatened with lawsuits multiple times if they had gone through with paying the ransom. “We were told that several times and we took it as a threat and it was appalling.”

Diane then said a highly decorated military officer, who serves on the National Security Council, came to their house to warn them about the pending prosecutions.
