Over 7,500 Brits to Protest Proposed Syria Airstrikes on Saturday

Over 7,500 Brits have signed up to protest Prime Minister David Cameron's proposal to launch airstrikes in Syria outside his official residence on Saturday, the rally’s organizers said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Why of course the people don't want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally, the common people don't want war: neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But after all it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship ... Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger." -- Leading Nazi leader, Hermann Goering, at the Nuremberg Trials before he was sentenced to death

An Invisible US Hand Leading to War? Turkey’s Downing of a Russian Jet was an Act of Madness

It is all terribly dangerous and it is hard to predict where things will lead.

This outrageous shootdown of a Russian plane that was in no way posing a threat to Turkey or Turkish forces, will not end here, because Russia and President Putin cannot allow Turkey and NATO to so blatantly act against Russia and its pilots and go unpunished, particularly as it is Russia that is acting legally in Syria, while the US, Turkey and other nations backing rebel forces there are in all acting blatant violation of international law.

Unless saner heads start prevailing in Washington, this could all quickly spiral into the kind of situation in 1914, where a lot of ill-conceived treaties led to a minor incident in the Balkans turning inexorably into World War I.

Moscow's firm and swift response forever changes the Grand Chessboard.

Some 159 wanted militants turned themselves in to the Syrian authorities to be pardoned as the army continues to purge almost the entire coastal province of Lattakia of terrorist groups, sources said on Friday.

The “ISIS Rockefellers”: How Islamic State Oil Flows to Israel

Oil produced by the Islamic State group finances its bloodlust. But how is it extracted, transported and sold? Who is buying it, and how does it reach Israel?

Oil produced from fields under the control of the Islamic State group is at the heart of a new investigation by al-Araby al-Jadeed. The black gold is extracted, transported and sold, providing the armed group with a vital financial lifeline.

But who buys it? Who finances the murderous brutality that has taken over swathes of Iraq and Syria? How does it get from the ground to the petrol tank, and who profits along the way?

The Islamic State group uses millions of dollars in oil revenues to expand and manage vast areas under its control, home to around five million civilians.

IS sells Iraqi and Syrian oil for a very low price to Kurdish and Turkish smuggling networks and mafias, who label it and sell it on as barrels from the Kurdistan Regional Government.

By Way Of Deception – How Turkey Considers Its Airspace “Violated” By Russia

But it is not just Israel stealing Syrian land. Another piece, known as Liwa ?skenderun in the northwest of Syria, now part of the Hatay province, was annexed (stolen) by Turkey from Syria in 1938. Putin Accuses Obama Of Leaking Flight Details To Turkey After Russia Releases Video Of S-400 SAM Deployment In Syria

Sultan Erdogan's War on...Russia

Let's cut to the chase. The notion that Turkey's downing of a Russian Su-24 by a made-in-USA F-16 was carried out without either a green light or at least pre-arranged "support" from Washington invites suspension of disbelief.

Turkey is a mere vassal state, the eastern arm of NATO, which is the European arm of the Pentagon. The Pentagon already issued a denial -- which, considering their spectacular record of strategic failures cannot be taken at face value. Plausibly, this might have been a power play by the neocon generals who run the Pentagon, allied with the neocon-infested Obama administration.

The privileged scenario though is of a vassal Turkey led by Sultan Erdogan risking a suicide mission out of its own, current, desperation.

Guest Column From George Abert, Formerly Of Air Force Intelligence

Why did Turkey shoot down a Russian Air Force jet?

Turkey is so militarily inferior to Russia that it is unlikely Turkey would commit an act of war against Russia without encouragement from Washington. We might think that Turkey would feel shielded by NATO, but it is doubtful that many European members of NATO would risk nuclear annihiliation by going to war with Russia in order to save Turkey from the consequences of such a reckless and irresponsible act as shooting down a Russian military aircraft and lying about it. Turkey has issued no apology and no believable explanation. Unless Erdogan has lost his mind, Washington is behind the shootdown, and the reason is Washington’s desperation to decode the new Russian technology that gives Russian forces total control over a battlefield, whether on land, sea, or air.

Breaking: Russian Pilot Rescued by Iran’s General Soleimani

Soleimani promised them to return the Russian pilot safe and sound; a promise that was kept in the end, according to the Syrian officer.

After tracing the place of the Russian pilot using his GPS, it was revealed that the pilot was being kept in a place 6km behind the frontline of the clashes between the Syrian army and the opposition.

Six fighters of Hezbollah’s special operation unit and 18 Syrian commandos approached the frontline to carry out the operations and the Russian air force and helicopters concurrently created hellfire in the region and destroyed the terrorists’ headquarters in a way that most of the enemy forces deployed in the region fled the scene and the ground was paved for the special unit’s advance.

The Syrian officer added that every move of the special units was monitored and covered precisely by the Russian satellites in a way that the slightest moves made 100 meters away from the area of operation was reported to them and every moment of the operation was reported to a very high-raking official in the Kremlin (that he thinks was president Putin) and it was clear that he was monitoring the entire operations through satellites from Moscow.

Meet The Man Who Funds ISIS: Bilal Erdogan, The Son Of Turkey's President

But even that was tame compared to what Lavrov said to his Turkish counterparty Mevlut Cavusoglu earlier today during a phone call between the two (Lavrov who was supposed to travel to Turkey has since canceled such plans).

As Sputnik transcribes, according to a press release from Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lavrov pointed out that, "by shooting down a Russian plane on a counter-terrorist mission of the Russian Aerospace Force in Syria, and one that did not violate Turkey’s airspace, the Turkish government has in effect sided with ISIS."

It was in this context when Lavrov added that "Turkey’s actions appear premeditated, planned, and undertaken with a specific objective."

More importantly, Lavrov pointed to Turkey’s role in the propping up the terror network through the oil trade. Per the Russian statement:

Webmaster's Commentary:

Now, we know why Turkey is aligned with ISIS.

Were I a key player in NATO right now, I would get Turkey thrown out of this organisation, for playing both sides.

Unfortunately, however, this is complicated; the higher-ups in NATO seem to have agreed that Turkey will provoke Russia to the point of its invoking Article 5 of the UN Charter (where, if one NATO country gets attacked, it is as though all have been attacked, and must come to that one country's aid).

The downing of that Russia jet on Tuesday by Turkey felt very much like the opening salvos to World War III; I hope I am wrong, and that cooler heads will ultimately prevail.

But unfortunately, the US government needs a major war with which to distract an ever-more disenchanted public from the economic mess in which the US government has placed it.

Karl Marx got a lot of things wrong, but one thing he said which is bang spot-on is that "all wars are economic." That he got absolutely right.

The Downing of Russia’s SU-24 Jet: 17 Seconds That Changed The World. Leaked Letter Exposes Turkey’s Hair-Trigger Reality

In the wake of an emergency NATO meeting this afternoon, new information has come to light. First, there’s Ankara’s letter to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the 15 members of the UN Security Council.

The highlighted passage reads: “Disregarding these warnings, both planes, at an altitude of 19,000 feet, violated Turkish national airspace to a depth of 1.36 miles and 1.15 miles in length for 17 seconds from 9:24:05 local time.”

So, as RT notes, even if we buy Turkey’s story (i.e. if we accept that Russia actually did violate Turkish airspace), then it would appear that Ankara has something of an itchy trigger finger. That is, Turkey was apparently willing to risk sparking a wider conflict between NATO and Russia over a 17 second incursion.

But something doesn’t sound right.

Journalists: Learn to do basic maths. Look at Turkey’s statement to UN: 1.15 miles / 17 seconds x 60 x 60 = 243 miles/hour = 391 km/hour

A Turkish convoy, which according to some reports was transporting weapons to terrorist organizations, has been hit by apparent airstrikes in northwestern Syria.

First, it was determined that the main role in the liquidation of Peshkov played some Alpaslan Steel and that he praised the British agency Reuters that he and his "soldiers" killed sand. And soon afterwards, that he is not a Turkmen, but - a Turk from the town Kebano from the province Eljazig.

Somewhat later it was found that steel has an account on Twitter and on the photographs often holds his index finger raised upward. That explained everything.

So forefinger lifted up by members of the Turkish extreme nationalist youth organization Bozrkurt - "Grey Wolves".

As the situation in Syria heats up on the heels of the Turkish shoot down of a Russian military jet, the situation in Ukraine is doing the same as the Western-backed fascist Kiev regime is once again poking the Russian bear, presumably at the behest of the NATO powers...

"About 50 soldiers and officers of the American army arrived in Ein al-Arab to support the Kurds in the fight against ISIS", — stated in the message. According to TV, the soldiers of the U.S. army crossed the Turkish-Syrian border through the checkpoint "BINAR", some soldiers had reached the town of Kamishli.

Is Turkey Starting a Proxi-War for NATO?

It is clear, Turkey hosting the recent G20 meeting and subscribing to the east-west ‘coalition’ of fighting the ISIS / DAESH / Al Qaeda terror, was a loosely disguised farce.

Did Turkey just provoke a proxi-war on behalf of NATO against Russia? – Turkey knew very well that the Russian SU-24 fighter jet was inside Syria’s borders and that even as it may have been close to Turkey it was no threat for Turkey. Russia’s mission was clear to all the 19 nations which attended the G20 meeting some 10 days ago in Antalya, Turkey, when the entire group unanimously decided to cooperate in fighting the Islamic State (IS – or Daesh, according to its Arabic acronym).

Turkey Shoots Down More Than Just a Russian Jet

It is only a matter of time before the rhetorical shell game conducted by the terrorist sponsors comes unstuck.

Turkey’s shooting down of a Russian fighter jet this week was likely aimed at a bigger political target – to deal a blow to the proposal of a grand anti-terror coalition between the West and Russia for fighting the Islamic State extremist network in Syria.

Such a coalition might seem reasonable, even desirable, to most people. But it is profoundly unacceptable, tacitly, to Washington because it would further expose the criminal nature of the Western-sponsored regime-change operation in Syria.

Washington and its allies do not want Russia to participate in an effective military coalition that would accelerate the destruction of the mercenary terror army that the Western powers have covertly invested in. In that regard, French President Francois Hollande seems to have momentarily lost the devious plot by proposing such an alliance with Russia.

Turkey Must Pay for the Crime Against the Russian Aircraft

Instead of immediately apologising to Moscow for the Turkish Air Force downing the Russian SU-24 being part of the Russian Air Force group from the Hmeymim base, whose war with IS terrorists and other terrorist groups on Syrian territory is not just empty words, but real action, Ankara was quick to come out with offensive attacks against Russia. And for some reason, it then went on to demand that the NATO Council convene, although not only wasn’t Turkey attacked, but rather itself committed an act of aggression. It is impossible to differently interpret the attack on the plane of the anti-terrorist coalition performing the mission to destroy terrorist locations in Syria. Moreover, the Turkish F-16 did it when the SU-24 was in Syrian airspace.

Turkey Downs Russian Fighter to Draw NATO and US Deeper into Syrian Quagmire

On Tuesday, Turkey shot down a Russian warplane that was carrying out military operations against jihadi groups in Northern Syria. The downing of the Su-24 fighter jet is part of a broader plan by the administration of Turkish President Tayyip Recep Erdogan to topple the secular government of Syrian President Bashar al Assad and to establish “safe zones” on the Syrian side of the Turkish-Syrian border. Erdogan needs the safe zones to provide a sanctuary for the militant extremists who are the footsoldiers in his war against Syria. The downing of the Russian fighter is a desperate attempt by Erdogan to incite a reaction from Russia that will draw either NATO or the United States deeper into a conflict which has dragged on for 4 and a half years and killed 250,000 people.

How the Islamic State is Really Anti-Islamic

Waking Times

Islam proclaims that killing one human being (unjustly) is equal to killing the whole humanity (Qur’an, 5:32). In this perspective, the recent Paris terror attacks as well as all other incidents of terrorism which cause the death of innocent people should actually be considered as the attacks on the whole humanity. Notwithstanding, the terror incident in Paris has once again triggered the old debate as to what extent Islam should be blamed for the barbaric acts committed by ISIS, which is known as the Islamic state of Iraq and Syria, but actually it deserves to be called as “Inhuman State” for its barbaric activities all over the world.

Anti-tank gun used in deadly jihadi attack on Russian chopper 'was AMERICAN'

It's terrifying how easily Turkey and Russia could take the world to the brink...

So how will Putin respond? Russia’s first retaliatory military act is likely to be a relentless assault on the Turkmen rebels. If and when that happens, for the first time since Russia’s incursion into Syria two months ago, the Russian air force will be brought into direct military conflict with the moderate rebels funded, trained and armed by the West and its allies.

This would occur just as dozens of American Special Forces arrive in Syria to embed themselves with those very same Western-backed anti-Assad rebels.

The prospect of Russia and the West engaging in this way in the military arena can only be met with horror.

What is really needed is for the West to focus its attentions not on defeating President Assad — who is of no real threat to us — but instead on forming an international coalition with Russia, in order to crush the extremist forces which have taken root in Syria.

Russia-China Relations and the Downing of Russia’s Jet Fighter by Turkey

The downing of a Russian jet fighter over Syria’s airspace was undertaken by Turkey in consultation with Washington and Brussels. Turkey did not take this decision without getting the greenlight from the Pentagon.

Is this an act of revenge against Russia for bombing the US-sponsored Islamic State in Syria?

The unspoken truth is that Russia is undermining US-NATO’s ground operations inside Syria. The latter are made up of various Al Qaeda affiliated formations which de facto constitute the foot-soldiers of the Western alliance. These ISIS and Al Nusrah rebel forces are in turn led by intelligence operatives and Western special forces, many of whom are deployed by private mercenary companies on contract to US-NATO.

The downing of Russia’s plane by Turkey is a clear act of provocation. What is its broader intent?

How will backlash at the diplomatic level? Is military escalation contemplated by Washington?

Obama: Without "strategic shift" in Russia, no cooperation against IS

France's Francois Hollande was unable Tuesday to overcome President Barack Obama's skepticism about a possible collaboration with Russia in the fight against the Islamic State, a goal the U.S. leader said depends on a previous "strategic shift" by Moscow.

In a meeting at the White House, Obama and Hollande agreed to "intensify" strikes against the IS in Iraq and Syria, while at the same time attacking jihadist funding and doing a better job of sharing intelligence.

Hollande was visiting Washington on the diplomatic marathon he has pursued since the Nov. 13 terrorist attacks in Paris, in hopes of merging into one the separate coalitions currently led by the United States and Russia in Syria.

Obama's response was unchanged from what the president has said in recent weeks: it will be "difficult" to cooperate unless Russia shifts the target of its attacks in Syria, which, according to the U.S., are mostly aimed at groups in opposition to Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad.

BEX ALERT - The Russians had it coming to them

Now the Turks have shot down a Russian warplane, Mr Putin might finally understand that if you play with fire, you end up getting burned

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. Con Coughlin likes to talk tough, but then it is easy to talk tough from a comfortable office thousands of miles away from the war zones! Mr. Con Coughlin, however, seems ignorant of the realities of the situation.

Russia is in Syria at the invitation of Syria's government, to assist Syria in dealing with the western-backed terrorists operating as a proxy army to oust Syria's elected President Assad and replace him with a western puppet. The United States does not have the permission of Syria's government to be in the country bombing economic infrastructure. Neither does France, nor Great Britain, nor NATO.

The Russian plane was not attacking Turkey. Turkey unilaterally extended their borders five miles into Syria for a "security zone" some months back. Russia was on the Syrian side of the internationally recognized border, and penetrated Turkey's "security zone" for a total of 14 seconds. Turkey violated Syria's airspace to chase and shoot down the Russian plane, and even the United States has acknowledged Turkey's violation of Syrian airspace in this incident.

Back in 2012, A Turkish aircraft penetrated deeply into Syria and was shot down. At that time, Erdogen insisted a single border incursion did not justify an attack, and in 2014, Turkey violated Greek airspace an average of six times every single day! Con Coughlin is clearly ignorant of the facts of this matter!

It was a PLANNED provocation by Turkey to shoot down our jet, says Russian minister

The Russian foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, giving a televised briefing said Russia will have to "seriously reassess" relations with Ankara after the actions by Turkish military.

The comments come as US officials claimed the Russian fighter was in Syrian airspace at the time it was shot down by Turkish military.

US-dominated NATO supports Turkish aggression against Russia

Make no mistake. Downing Russia's aircraft was provocative Turkish aggression - a clear act of war against a nonthreatening nation.

It's inconceivable President Erdogan acted alone, unilaterally deciding to attack the Russian plane - then lying about it entering Turkish airspace, warning "10 times" (an absurdity on its face) before downing it with one or more air-to-air missiles.

Downing of Russian Su-24 looks like a planned provocation - Lavrov

Attack against Russian Sukhoi-24 was not accidental, says retired general

Russia’s Sukhoi Su-24 frontline bomber participating in the Russian air group’s operation against the Islamic State (outlawed in Russia) in Syria has caused no damage to Turkey’s ground infrastructures and it could have by no means pursued such aims, so the attack against it was a deliberate show of muscle, Major General Alexander Tsalko, retired, a member of the non-governmental Foreign and Defense Policy Council, told TASS.

Tsalko, a former military pilot himself, said Turkey was perfectly aware that Russia’s air and space group was focused on the ground targets of the Islamic State in Syria and could by no means seek to cause damage to Turkey, Moscow’s old-time trading and economic ally.

Turkey was widely accused of helping the insurgents to capture Kessab, despite the participation in the attack of Jabhat al-Nusra, an affiliate of al-Qaeda.

Turkey Has Destroyed Russia’s Hope Of Western Cooperation

To the extent that the shoot-down of the Russian military aircraft has a silver lining, the incident has likely saved the Russian government from a coalition in which Russia would have lost control of its war against ISIL and would have had to accept the defeat of Assad’s removal.

Each step along the way the Russian government has held strong cards that it did not play, trusting instead to diplomacy. Diplomacy has now proven to be a deadend. If Russia does not join the real game and begin to play its strong cards, Russia will be defeated.

Why Would Turkey Shoot Down Russian Su-24?

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has made a number of statements in which he tried to pull full responsibility for the incident on Russia. Of course, it is too early to make conclusions, but even one is to assume that Russia’s airplane violated the Turkish airspace, despite there’s no evidence to support this version whatsoever, the Turkish Air Force would still have no reason to shoot down it. For more than a month Russian war planes have been engaging terrorist groups in Syria, while posing no threat to its neighbors.

PARIS & the City of ‘ISIS’: Major Occult Symbolism, Hypnosis & the Massive Psy-Op Now Underway…

....any time we’re told over and over again that something “has changed the world forever”, we’re best served to be suspicious. In regard to terror attacks, the only other time this mass psychological conditioning has occurred was with 9/11, which probably did change the world forever and which we were repeatedly *told* would change the world forever. Other terror attacks have simply been treated as precisely that: as terror attacks – 7/7, Boston, and others weren’t sold to us as ‘world changing’ or historic, but just as terrorism.

The 13/11 Paris attack seemed pre-packaged from the start as something much more important. This is mass psychological programming we’re witnessing right now; and everyone should pay attention so they can observe how it works.

The mainstream media all over the Western world was on virtual 24-hour Paris coverage for days. In the UK, BBC News 24 reported on virtually nothing else. On Sunday, I watched even the UK’s Channel 4 news do a one-hour news special from Paris, forsaking all other world news. It didn’t show or report on anything new that hadn’t already been reported on the Saturday, but seemed to exist purely to amplify the mass hysteria and sense of historic, world-changing drama.

France and Israël launch a new war in Iraq and Syria

This is a good article with a lot to digest!

On one hand, the French government is mobilising all its media in order to keep its population focused on the attacks of the 13th November. On the other, with Israël, it is launching a new war in Iraq and Syria. The objective is no longer to overthrow the secular Syrian régime, nor to destroy its army, but to create a colonial state straddling the border between Iraq and Syria, to be managed by the Kurds, in order to apply a stranglehold on the Arab states. The dream of an Israeli nation between the Nile and the Euphrates is back.

Presidents Putin and Obama concluded an agreement to destroy the Erdo?an family’s tankers, thereby putting an end to the petrol trafficking. Which means the Turkish F-16s were waiting for the Russian plane.

FLASHBACK 2012 - Syria crisis: Fierce fighting erupts near Damascus

Earlier, Mr Erdogan spoke of Turkey's "rage" at Syria's decision to shoot down the F-4 Phantom last Friday and described Syria as a "clear and present threat".

"A short-term border violation can never be a pretext for an attack," he said.

Turkey Has Destroyed Russia’s Hope Of Western Cooperation — Paul Craig Roberts

Turkey’s unprovoked shoot-down of a Russian military aircraft over Syria raises interesting questions. It seems unlikely that the Turkish government would commit an act of war against a much more powerful neighbor unless Washington had cleared the attack. Turkey’s government is not very competent, but even the incompetent know better than to put themselves into a position of facing Russia alone.

If the attack was cleared with Washington, was Obama bypassed by the neocons who control his government, or is Obama himself complicit? Clearly the neoconservatives are disturbed by the French president’s call for unity with Russia against ISIL and easily could have used their connections to Turkey to stage an event that Washington can use to prevent cooperation with Russia.

Two pilots from downed Russian plane alive: Turkish official

The two pilots who ejected from a Russian war plane downed by Turkey on the Syrian border are believed to be alive and Turkish authorities are seeking to recover them, a government official said on Tuesday.

"Turkey has information that the two pilots are alive and right now Turkey is trying to recover them," the official told AFP, after reports that at least one of the pilots could have died after parachuting down inside Syria.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Turkey has no business crossing into Syria to "rescue" the pilots.

Is NATO Member Turkey Aiding and Abetting ISIS/DAESH

Turkey seems to be one of the biggest factors in the abetting, empowering, even training and funding ISIS. Why is the MSM ignoring this? Why are members of congress ignoring this. At Least Joe Biden has talked about it.

It is looking more and more like Turkey, a member of NATO, is massively abetting ISIS, with the United States and NATO looking the other way.

It Wasn't Us - Pentagon Shrugs At "Exaggerating, Sloppy, Uncaring" Russian Jet Shootdown

The Pentagon's army colonel Steve Warren has made it clear how Washington feels about the unraveling situation in Syria. In not so many words, Warren explained 'not our problem', pointing out the Russian jet shootdown is "a Russia-Turkey issue," and that US was not ionvolved. He then quickly moved on to the propaganda section of the briefing, explaining how "sloppy, uncaring" Russia was "exaggerating" its achievements in Syria.

The Pentagon explains, it wasn't us...

“Our Turkish Allies informed us that their military aircraft shot down a Russian military aircraft near the Syrian border after it violated Turkish airspace on Tuesday. At this time, we can confirm that US forces were not involved in this incident,” the official said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Although it has not yet been declared, it feels to me as though we are hearing the opening salvos to World War III with this incident.

Both Russian pilots were able to eject, but got assassinated by US-sponsored rebels- as reported today by

If Putin was angry when Turkey shot down a Russian plane, which may or may not have crossed Turkish territory - reports on both sides are conflicting - he will be absolutely livid to learn that, according to Turkey's Dogan News, the Russian pilots who had parachuted in an attempt to save their lives after the plane was shot down, had been executed while parachuting down by local rebels, which considering the video released earlier belonged to the Free Syrian Army, are same "rebels" who are funded directly by the CIA.

We will have to see how the Russian, Turkish, NATO, and American media attempt to shape the narrative here.

But there is one thing of which I am absolutely certain, and that is: something wicked this way comes, and in the not too distant future, either.

And a short memo to Colonel Warren: the United States government is responsible for the deaths of these two Russia pilots, courtesy of the training provided to the US-government backed Fee Syrian Army
