Transference of Evil: Netanyahu, a Creature without Morality or Mercy

This is a Zionist world gone mad.

“…the pictures out of Gaza are heart wrenching and painful, the painful pictures of children dying… and the thousands of refugees. What goes through your mind when you see that?” Bibi’s answer is not the “banality of evil” that Hanna Arendt saw as she witnessed Eichmann’s answers at his trial, an evil of “stupidity” that excluded rational thought.

“Hamas targets civilians, we don’t… They want to pile up as many dead as they can…the more dead the better” (Netanyahu interview with Wolf Blitzer, 8/20/2014).

Five rockets fired from Syria hit Israel

Five rockets fired from Syria hit the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights overnight between Saturday and Sunday, the Israeli military said in a statement.

Israel's Ynet website news said that three rockets exploded in a settlement in the northern Golan Heights and two have hit an open space. No injuries or damages were immediately reported.

The rocket salvo was fired only a few hours after a rocket fired from southern Lebanon hit the Upper Galilee in northern Israel. A spokesperson with the police said that the rocket hit an empty building in an open area, with two children lightly wounded.

No group has immediately claimed responsibility for both incidents.

Dr. Rania Masri’s Powerful Speech at “Crisis in Gaza and West Bank: Context and Action”

Listen to a stunning speech by Palestinian rights activist Rania Masri. It’s about time more than one diaspora Palestinian spoke equally fearlessly, forcefully, loud and clear, unapologetically, powerfully and correctly and with pride in support of the Palestinian Resistance group Hamas besieged in Gaza. It’s long, long overdue.

Those who march behind genocide should be ashamed of themselves, not those who fight for what is right.

Paul Craig Roberts: Putin should meet privately with European Leaders

Putin could tell Europeans that by disassociating from Washington’s foreign policy and adopting foreign policies that serve their own interests instead of Washington’s, Europeans have nothing to lose but their chains of vassalage.

Putin could explain to Europeans that Russia is prepared to guarantee Europe’s security and, therefore, that Europe does not need Washington’s guarantee against a nonexistent Russian threat.

If this very reasonable and diplomatic approach to Europe fails, then Russia and China know that they must prepare for war.

Islamic State Is Covert US Intelligence Operation

WASHINGTON, August 13 (RIA Novosti), Lyudmila Chernova - The Islamic State (IS) is a covert intelligence operation by the United States which aims at setting a predicate for further escalation in Iraq, Francis Boyle, a constitutional scholar and law professor at University of Illinois, told RIA Novosti.

"All the implications so far in the public record are that ISIS [IS] is a covert US intelligence operation," Boyle told RIA Novosti Tuesday. "Head of ISIS Abu Bakr Baghdadi spent five years in an American detention facility, and also three of the four military commanders were also in detention by the US forces. So, my guess is that ISIS is indeed a covert US military intervention to set precedent for US escalation in Iraq."

Has Clinton Made Her Second Pro-War Mistake?

Cease fire talks between Israel and Hamas have been extended for an additional five days.

The extension in the talks was made possible because Hamas is standing firm in its humanitarian demand that Israel lift the siege on Gaza, while Israel is feeling the negative worldwide vibes over its massive military assault.

The vibes are negative everywhere, that is, except in the U.S., where in an Atlantic interview, former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appeared to kick off her 2016 presidential campaign with a ringing endorsement of Israel’s massive assault on the Palestinians of Gaza.

For his part, as the man who holds the reins of responsibility, President Obama has called a halt to U.S. Hellfire missile shipments to Israel until arrangements are made to clear with the White House all future transfers of Hellfire missiles.

Mourning Rubble for Gaza

I hoped that some might find value in this.

When darkness overcomes us

And Hope lies in the past

What in our hearts sustains us?

How do we make love last?

When our weakness overwhelms us,

And we watch as children die,

How can we breathe this still foul air?

What makes us even try?

Obama: Netanyahu “Too Strong” to Make Peace

In order for peace to ever occur between Israel and the Palestinians, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu needs to be weakened, United States President Barack Obama asserted.

In an interview with the New York Times’ Thomas L. Friedman, the president said that Netanyahu was “too strong” and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas [Abu Mazen] was “too weak.”

According to Obama, in order for Netanyhau to come to the negotiating table and make concessions, the prime minister needs to feel more pressure from his cabinet and Israelis.

The president pointed to the fact that Netanyahu’s “poll numbers are a lot higher than mine,” which “were greatly boosted by the war in Gaza.”

Obama argued that “if he [Netanyahu] doesn’t feel some internal pressure, then it’s hard to see him being able to make some very difficult compromises, including taking on the settler movement.”

ISIS in Iraq stinks of CIA/NATO ‘dirty war’ op

by William Engdahl

For days now, since their dramatic June 10 taking of Mosul, Western mainstream media have been filled with horror stories of the military conquests in Iraq of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, with the curious acronym ISIS. ISIS, as in the ancient Egyptian cult of the goddess of fertility and magic. The media picture being presented adds up less and less.

Details leaking out suggest that ISIS and the major military ‘surge’ in Iraq – and less so in neighboring Syria – is being shaped and controlled out of Langley, Virginia, and other CIA and Pentagon outposts as the next stage in spreading chaos in the world’s second-largest oil state, Iraq, as well as weakening the recent Syrian stabilization efforts.

Boycott Israel: Now More Than Ever

It bears repeating. Committed ordinary people can make a difference. It’s the only way constructive change is possible. Bottom up alone works. Never top down. Israel’s day of reckoning awaits.

For many decades, Israel waged genocidal war against millions of defenseless Palestinians with impunity.

Accountability is long overdue. High crimes against peace were committed. Culpable Israeli officials must be punished to the full extent of the law.

The global boycott, divestment and sanctions movement for freedom, justice and equality works. Applying them with stepped up teeth more than ever is vital.

Israel furious as UN unveils Gaza probe team

Israel lashed out on Tuesday after the UN Human Rights Council named the man who will be running an inquiry into its Gaza offensive.

Canadian international lawyer William Schabas, who will head the commission, is widely regarded in Israel as being hostile to the Jewish state over reported calls to bring Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before the International Criminal Court.

"Underground Vibrations and Noises:" Israel Prepares Attack on Lebanon

Yesterday, Maj. Gen. Sami Turgeman, Head of the Southern Command visited Jewish settlements surrounding Gaza.

Instead of being carried on the shoulders of happy settlers, he met the anger of those who found out that they have been tricked by illegitimate authorities.

Less reported but no less violent was a visit of Public Security Minister Aharonovitch, at the same time Kibbutz Kfar Aza (Kibbutz Village of Gaza).

The general fury at the authorities was the result of a call to denizens of Gaza Envelope (Otef Aza) to return to their homes after the end of the ground stage of Operation Strong Cliff. "It is safe to return home," official announcements claimed. They returned to their homes only to find that the bombings continue.

Washington’s Diabolical Agenda in Iraq: US Pledges “Humanitarian Airstrikes” against US Sponsored IS Terrorists

The US has pledged assistance for victims of and even possible “airstrikes” against terrorists who have surrounded and threaten to eradicate thousands of religious minorities in Iraq. However, the terrorists themselves are a product of US foreign policy in the Middle East and North Africa, and instrumental in achieving Western objectives across the region. Punitive strikes and aid to the victims of what is essentially a Western mercenary army is part of maintaining plausible deniability.

Comment: Annie Robbins:
Occupier, I fully support non violent resistance. however, in the face of the violent genocidal intent of the occupier and the actions taken to ignite this latest round of violence (WB pogroms, killings, destruction, arrests detainment no doubt leading to torture) i think Palestinians should be able and willing to defend themselves and be proud of their achievements, efforts to protect themselves under siege, oppression. that includes procuring weaponry.

FLASHBACK 2006 - THE TWO ISRAELI SOLDIERSWERE CAPTURED IN LEBANON

The Lebanese Shiite Hezbollah movement announced on Wednesday that its guerrillas have captured two Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon. "Implementing our promise to free Arab prisoners in Israeli jails, our strugglers have captured two Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon," a statement by Hezbollah said. "The two soldiers have already been moved to a safe place," it added. The Lebanese police said that the two soldiers were captured as they "infiltrated" into the town of Aitaa al-Chaab inside the Lebanese border. [Hindustan Times 7/12/06]

Webmaster's Commentary:

What Israel did to start the 2006 war with Lebanon is send two of their uniformed soldiers across the border into the town of Aitaa al-Chaab, where they were promptly captured. Israel, aided by the corporate media, declared Lebanon to be at fault for the "kidnapping", and launched their attack for the Litani River.

This is a reminder of how Israel starts wars, breaks cease fires, and always blames the victim, with the hot and eager help of ABCNNBBCBSFOX.

Nasrallah: Israel on a path towards "suicide" in Gaza

Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah Friday vowed "all means of support" to the Palestinian resistance in its battle with Israel, saying the latter had failed miserably in the 18-day conflict in Gaza.

Nasrallah, in a rare public appearance in Al-Suhadaa Complex in Beirut’s southern suburbs, also spoke out against recent developments in Iraq and the establishment of the so-called Islamic caliphate by ISIS, saying: "Our duty as Muslims today is to condemn what Christians and Muslims are facing in Iraq."

Speaking on Jerusalem Day, Nasrallah warned Israel against expanding its offensive in Gaza, saying the resistance in the enclave had already won the fighting.

“The Israeli Dream”: The Criminal Roadmap Towards “Greater Israel”?

The concept of a “Greater Israel” according to the founding father of Zionism Theodore Herzl, is a Jewish State stretching “’From the Brook of Egypt to the Euphrates.’

Rabbi Fischmann, of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, stated to the UN Special Committee on 9th July 1947 that:

The Promised Land extends from the River of Egypt up to the Euphrates, it includes parts of Syria and Lebanon’”, wrote Michel Chossudovsky. (1)

Thus “from the Nile to the Euphrates.” Herzl’s detailed thesis was written in 1904.

Italian soldiers serving with the U.N. Interim Force in Lebanon intercepted a number of journalists while they covered the firing of rockets from Lebanon into Israel and the subsequent Israeli retaliatory shelling of southern villages.

Palestinian group Hamas had no role in a rocket attack on Israel from Lebanon and had nothing to do with a statement in the name of its armed wing that claimed responsibility for the attack late yesterday, Hamas officials in Lebanon said.

Rocket fire from Lebanon hits Israel, unclear who was behind attack

Gaza rocket fire struck a gas station and set it ablaze Friday in southern Israel, seriously wounding one person as rocket fire also came from Lebanon for the first time in the four-day offensive.

The explosion in Ashdod sent plumes of smoke high into the air. Israeli health officials said the blast wounded three people, including one in serious condition. Rocket fire continued in earnest from Gaza toward various locations in southern Israel.

Gaza fighters have fired more than 400 rockets against Israel in the offensive. Israel's "Iron Dome" defense system has intercepted most aimed at major cities.

The rocket fire on Friday came hours after about 100,000 Gaza residents living in cities near the border with Israel were reportedly told Thursday to leave their homes ahead of anticipated military action by the Israeli army, according to Israeli media reports.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Don't let that phrase used by Intelligence Minister Steinitz used about about the IDF taking Gaza over "temporarily" fool you: this will be a full-on, permanent military occupation, leaving as many dead and maimed Gazans as possible.

And BTW, take a good, hard look at those kids on the stretcher at the top of this article; now, imagine, for just one second, that they were your kids.

Lebanese Forces condemns Israeli offensive on Gaza

The Lebanese Forces Thursday condemned Israeli aggression toward Gaza, warning the international community that a prolonged crisis would plunge the entire region into chaos.

“The Lebanese Forces deplores the escalating Israeli aggression toward Gaza, which does not exclude civilians such as children, women and the elderly,” the LF said. “Such aggression is unjustifiable by all political, security and humanitarian standards,” it added. “Both the Arab and the international community are asked to take immediate action to stop what is happening as soon as possible, for the sake of the innocent lives and to prevent a deterioration that might affect the entire region, leading to chaos and producing results no one could ever imagine.”

In Defense of Helen Thomas: What’s Wrong With History?

Helen Thomas’s recent request to purchase a table at the upcoming White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) annual dinner has been rejected.

In a comment on that story I said, “It’s hard to imagine anything more wrong than this.”

I base my opinion on the fact that the 91-year-old Thomas, a former WHCA president, is unique among American journalists, having covered 10 different presidential administrations in a career stretching back to Dwight Eisenhower.

It is because of Thomas as much as anyone else that women were first included at the WHCA dinner since, as the WHCA’s website mentions:
