US-Israel War on Iran : The Myth of Limited Warfare

Israeli military experts confidently expect to polish off their Iranian targets in a few days – some might think a mere weekend - and perhaps without the loss of even a single pilot. They expect the Jewish state will celebrate its brilliant victory in the streets of Tel Aviv and Washington. They are deluded by their own sense of superiority.

Just as any US-Israeli attack on Iran will involve multiple targets, the Iranian military will also have a plethora of easily accessible strategic targets. Though it is difficult to predict exactly where and how Iran will retaliate, one thing is clear: The initial US-Israeli strike will not go unanswered.

UK warns of possible Easter terrorist attack in Nigeria

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am glad someone brought this up. As you know, tomorrow is Good Friday (not very good for the Rabbi on the cross, of course) and then Sunday we celebrate the day Jesus comes out of the tomb, sees his shadow and we get winter for another 6 weeks. Or something. Maybe he starts eating brains as revenge for all the time people eat his body. I can't keep this stuff straight.

But obviously, for those who would start a war between the Christians and the Muslims, these two holidays represent opportunities for highly symbolic false-flag attacks to trigger the war Netanyahu clearly is desperate to start. So, in between asking what rabbits have to do with Ishtar, be aware that there are very evil people who would use your religion against you.

US Blames Iran for Post-Quran Burning Violence in Afghanistan

The massive anti-US protests in the wake of the organized book burning at Bagram Air Base were the result of “anti-American provocation” by the Iranian government, according to US officials familiar with the situation.

According to the officials, the Iranian Embassy in Kabul has a “very active” program of fomenting dissent against the US occupation forces, and they seem convinced that the violent protests were entirely Iran’s fault.

The new take is an interesting one, particularly since the officials don’t seem to interpret the organized burning of large numbers of Qurans as any sort of proximate cause for the protests, and assume that the only reason Afghans would be riled up was Iranian spies told them to be.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And, forgive me for being logical here, but where is the hard evidence that such influence ever took place?!?

Apparently, according to the "logic" of these folks, the US and NATO atrocities visited upon the Afghan people lately, should never be enough to get them infuriated by what the US and NATO forces did.

And IF this were true, why isn't it sourced, either in terms of the US officials making the charge, or Iranian individuals actually doing the mischief?

Short answer: they won't source this story, because they can't source it!!

This kind of "invention" is simply more desperation on the cusp of madness, a desperate casting about for some "causus belli" for going into Iran militarily.

But I can assure those in the bowels of power in both DC and Tel Aviv, that neither the American nor the Israeli public are buying off on this!!!

Iran proposes Iraq, China as alternate venues to Turkey for nuclear talks with world powers

With nine days to go, Iran still has not agreed on a location for talks with world powers over its nuclear program, Western officials said Wednesday but suggested Istanbul remained the most likely venue.

Iran’s suggestions of alternative sites raised the possibility of complications to get talks under way as expected on April 13 between Iran and envoys from the five permanent U.N. Security Council members and Germany. It also could bring accusations of stall tactics by Iran’s leaders.

The possibility of other locations also was raised by Mohsen Rezaei, a former Revolutionary Guard commander and now spokesman of Iran’s Expediency Council. On Monday, he suggested Baghdad, Damascus, or Beirut, Lebanon.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have to wonder if the Iranian leadership has simply decided that these "talks" have been engineered to fail by the West, and that it is simply not worth their time to go, when a war against it appears to be the favored outcome already chosen by the US and Israel.

Guenter Grass, German Nobel Winner, Criticizes Israel Over Iran Tensions

"The nuclear power Israel is endangering the already fragile world peace," Grass wrote in his poem titled:

"What must be said"

The 84-year-old Grass said he had been prompted to put pen to paper by Berlin's recent decision to sell Israel a submarine able to "send all-destroying warheads where the existence of a single nuclear bomb is unproven."

"The nuclear power Israel is endangering the already fragile world peace," he wrote. His poem specifically criticized Israel's "claim to the right of a first strike" against Iran.

Why The West Created The Islamic Republic of Iran, And Why It Wants To Destroy It Now

Ayatollah Khomeini was a secret Western puppet and Illuminati agent.

According to conventional wisdom, Washington and Tehran have hated each other since the 1979 Islamic Revolution and the Iranian-American hostage crisis that occurred shortly after. But when we look past the surface of events and official rhetoric we find very little evidence to support this claim.

Surprise Video Changes Syria “Timeline”

Al Jazeera’s Shaping of the Syrian Story

Of all the myths obstructing the honest portrayal of events in Syria this past year, none has been more fiercely guarded by regime-change advocates than this one stark falsehood:

Myth – the Syrian regime has only been shooting unarmed, peaceful protestors until very recently when opposition groups finally decided to arm themselves in self-defense.

Britain’s Mad-House Foreign Policy

The best and cheapest way of protecting our national security is simply to eject the madmen from the Foreign Office and stop pimping for the US and its mad-dog protegé.

Let’s see how quickly the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), with Mr Bellingham’s help, can get their skates on and straighten out the simple matter of Palestine’s status so that Israel’s strutting psychopaths can finally be brought to book.

In Defense of Helen Thomas: What’s Wrong With History?

Helen Thomas’s recent request to purchase a table at the upcoming White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) annual dinner has been rejected.

In a comment on that story I said, “It’s hard to imagine anything more wrong than this.”

I base my opinion on the fact that the 91-year-old Thomas, a former WHCA president, is unique among American journalists, having covered 10 different presidential administrations in a career stretching back to Dwight Eisenhower.

It is because of Thomas as much as anyone else that women were first included at the WHCA dinner since, as the WHCA’s website mentions:

Britain's mad-house foreign policy

Stuart Littlewood highlights Britain's double standards and contradictory policies in the Middle East: on the one hand irrational belligerence and warmongering towards Iran even though this is contrary to British national interests, and on the other cosying up to and taking its cue from Israel, a criminal, aggressive state whose behaviour contradicts British values and interests.

Barak reveals Israel's conditions for Iran-West talks

Defense minister says strike not within weeks but can also not wait years, demands Iran surrender 20 percent-enriched uranium, close underground Fordow facility.

Israel is demanding that its allies set Iran's complete surrender of its stockpile of uranium enriched to 20 percent as one of the goals for the nuclear talks set to begin with the Islamic Republic in mid April.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is apparent that Israeli Defense Minister Barak, as well as US Secretary of State Clinton, is also doing his level best to insure the complete failure of these talks by issuing this ultimatum.

And by the way, Defense Minister Barak: the enrichment of uranium to 20% is to create medical isotopes with which to help people heal.

Barak: 2012 – year of the fight against Iran's nukes

Defense Minister Ehud Barak declared Wednesday that 2012 is "the year of the fight against the Iranian nuclear program."

In a meeting with military analysts and correspondents, Barak said that the economic and diplomatic sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic are working but that it has yet to be seen whether they will achieve a true compromise that will halt Tehran's nuclear program.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Memo to Israeli Defense Minister Barak: the "big lie" technique kind of went out with the whoopee cushion and the dribble glass, sir.
Even your fellow and sister Israelis understand that you are not telling the truth about Iran's nuclear program.

So, here it goes for the zillionth time.

1. As a signatory to the NNPT, Iran is allowed to used nuclear technology for peaceful means, as it is doing now with its power station, with the help of Russian Technicians

2. To date, no IAEA inspection has proven that ANY nuclear materials have been diverted toward a weapons program. The Iranian scientists are enriching uranium to a 20% level to create medical isotopes; these are to help people heal, not blow people up.

3. The strictures and limitations US Secretary Clinton has put upon Iran's participation in upcoming talks have guaranteed that they have been engineered to fail: war against Iran is the outcome you want to see as a result of this failure.

4. Israel wants to see the US attack Iran, without Israeli involvement, if humanly possible. However, I would strongly caution the Israeli government that Americans are bloody sick, tired, and angry in the cost in American blood, and American money, Israel consistently demands this country place on the altar of ultimate Israeli hegemony in the Middle East.

5. There here will be absolutely no support of such an attack by the American people, for that very reason. And American military participation in such an attack may possibly not go at all well (particularly if such a war is prolonged) because the US government doesn't have the troop strength, the money, or the manufacturing to insure a successful outcome.

6. Israeli leadership has been playing fast and loose with the truth against their own people, assuring them that Israel will experience no more than 300 casualties as a result of such a military operation. But if the war gets prolonged, and is not a successful blitzkrieg, there could be massive risk to both Israeli lives, and Israeli assets.

7. Leaders from nuclear-armed Pakistan, China, and Russia, have gone public in stating that should Iran be attacked, they will come to its aid militarily.

7. So what we have here, should you and/or the Americans attack Iran, is the potential for a global, thermonuclear war over an alleged Iranian nuclear weapons program which, sir, to date, cannot be proven to exist.

Defense Minister Barak, I encourage you, and those in the bowels of DC and Tel Aviv, to please, be very, very careful about what you wish for here; you all may very well unleash catastrophic events by the pursuit of such a war which will result in unstoppable, catastrophically, unintended consequences.

Netanyahu: Iran Sanctions Aren't Working

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Tuesday that sanctions aimed at halting Iran’s nuclear enrichment program have failed to yield results.

"The sanctions are painful, hard… but will this bring about a halt or a retreat in the Iranian nuclear program? Until now, it has not happened," Netanyahu told reporters in Jerusalem.

"Will these difficulties cause the Iranian regime to stop its nuclear program? Only time will tell. I can't tell you if it will happen. I know there is hardship but there still hasn't been a change."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Memo to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu: Iran's nuclear energy program is completely legal, under the terms and conditions of its being a signatory to the NNPT.

Also, as an NNPT signatory, Iran has its nuclear sites inspected by the IAEA on a consistent basis. To date, and I am talking about today, 4 April, 2012, no inspections have demonstrated that any nuclear material has been diverted to a nuclear weapons program.

On the other hand, Israel is a nuclear-armed country which refuses to become a signatory to the NNPT, and therefore refuses to allow inspections of its nuclear sites.

So could you possibly help me by reminding me, Mr. Prime Minister, just why the US is pouring billions of dollars into Israel in military and monetary aid annually, when it is illegal for this government to do so, under the Symington Amendment?!?

Iran has a nuclear energy program; it does not have any nuclear weapons, and is doing everything by the book to comply with their responsibilities as an NNPT signatory.

Israel, however, has nuclear weapons, but refuses to become a signatory to the NNPT, and US taxpayers still get bled dry for ILLEGAL military and monetary aid to Israel.

And to add insult to injury, Israel is goading the US toward an attack against Iran over an alleged nuclear weapons program which cannot, to date be proven to exist.

What's wrong with this picture?!? EVERYTHING.

Clinton Issues New Demands For ‘Commitments’ From Iran

Speaking today on ABC News, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton set the stage for the predicted failure of the mid-April P5+1 talks in Turkey. She issued a series of demands that were the condition for avoiding war with Iran.

Among those demands were a series of unspecified “concrete commitments from Iran,” including an explicit demand that they “come clean on its nuclear program.” This is in spite of the repeated reports from the US and Israeli intelligence communities that Iran has no nuclear weapons program.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Memo to Secretary of State Clinton; as a signatory to the IAEA, giving the Iran the right to produce nuclear power for civilian uses, Iran has all of its nuclear facilities consistently inspected by the IAEA. And as of today's date, as of 4 April 2012, the IAEA has found utterly no evidence whatsoever that nuclear materials have been diverted toward a nuclear weapons program.

Iranian scientists have been enriching uranium to a 20% level, which is used in the creation of medical isotopes; this is about helping people heal, not blowing people up.

So, to date, neither the US, nor Israel, have a causus belli for a war against Iran. And yet that appears to be the apparent outcome toward which both countries are moving with all possible dispatch.

It is obvious, because the massive numbers of pre-conditions and strictures you have placed upon Iranian participation in the P5+1 talks next week, that you are quite set upon insuring that the talks will fail, utterly.

However, I would like to strongly caution regarding the following. The American people are sick, tired, and angry at the consistent Israeli demands for the sacrifice of American blood, and American money, upon the altar of ultimate Israeli hegemony in the Middle East.

And because of that reason, IF the US does support Israel in such an endeavor, there will be absolutely zero support on the part of the American people for it.

The Administration may well declare some sort of martial law to stifle dissent against it. But no imposition of law can change either people's minds, or their memories of the degree to which Israel was "cheerleading" for a US invasion and occupation of Iraq, their "existential enemy du jour" at the time.

Americans understand, without question, that the US invasion and occupation of Iraq was based on a pack of lies, and they can see just how well THAT little "military misadventure" went. Now, let's see; over one million Iraqis killed; thousands maimed and wounded for life, many experiencing aggressive cancers and birth defects from the use of depleted uranium weapons; thousands of American military personnel killed and maimed for life; and, oh yes, that little bit of "sticker shock", in the form of one trillion dollars added to the Federal deficit.

IF an attack against Iran is not a blitzkrieg, executed with deadly precision, such a war may be prolonged over time, putting both Israeli and American assets at substantial and sustained risk.

And there are several very compelling reasons as to why American participation in such a military endeavor here might not end well. To be brutally honest, the US government doesn't have the troop strength, the money, or the manufacturing to pursue a successful conclusion to such an attack, should the war be prolonged.

Also, as you are well aware, leaders in nuclear-armed Pakistan, Russia, and China have gone public, stating that should Iran be attacked, they will come to its aid militarily. So what we have here is the potential for a global thermonuclear war, over an alleged Iranian nuclear weapons program which cannot, to date, be proven to exist!!

In summation, Secretary Clinton, and to all your colleagues here and Israel, I would encourage you to please, be very, very careful about what you wish to be the outcome of any US/Israeli attack against Iran; the horrific, unintended consequences from such an attack may begin as unimaginable, and wind up as utterly uncontrollable.

Iran rial slides, 'dollar' text messages appear blocked

TEHRAN, Jan 10 (Reuters) - Iran's currency has slid 20 percent against the dollar in the last week despite central bank intervention, and Iranians concerned about the economy said on Tuesday attempts to send text messages using the word "dollar" appeared to be blocked.

The central bank reportedly pumped $200 million dollars into the market last Wednesday after new and much tougher U.S. sanctions prompted nervous Iranians to change rials into hard currency, accelerating a rise in the price of dollars on the open market.
