New study confirms: “The United States is no democracy… but actually an oligarchy” dominated by the economic elite

We have the right to vote, the right to work, and the right to freely express our opinions without threat of imprisonment or worse. Our political leaders often tout the United States as being a democracy of and for the people. We even spend hundreds of billions of dollars a year spreading this democratic influence to the rest of the world.

The Great Decoupling: How the West is Engineering its Own Downfall

James Corbett
Activist Post

Reports out of Moscow indicate that Russia is on the verge of signing the “holy grail” of gas deals with China. The deal between Russian state-owned gas firm Gazprom and Beijing would see as much as 38 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year flowing through the first proposed Russia-China pipeline by 2018. The agreement has apparently been in the works for years, but recent events on Moscow’s western flank (read: the Ukrainian situation) has moved the timetable on the plan up dramatically, with the last sticking point being the price. If the deal is signed next month during Putin’s state visit to China, as many analysts are speculating will happen, it will be a significant event not only economically, but geopolitically...

Iran Inaugurates Direct Shipping Line to China

"Direct transportation of goods between Bandar Abbas port and Dalian and Lianyungang ports in China and vice versa provides better services and create competitive advantages for the cargo owners," Managing-Director of the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company for Transportation with Containers Captain Hamzeh Keshavarz said.

"Decreasing the time of transit, cancelling the feeder and transshipment operations, reciprocity fees and the possibility to present lower prices, direct supply of goods from Dalian customs office and persuading cargo owners in Iranian ports to ship their commodities through the national container line are among the advantages of the inauguration of this line," he added.

Iranian and Chinese officials have on several occassions underlined the need for the further expansion of bilateral relations and exchanges, specially in trade fields.

Eurasian Corridor Project: China to Invest $5Bln in Russia’s Far East

Amid increasing tensions with the West, Russia is making progress on long-awaited deals with its eastern neighbor, China.

The China Development Bank has confirmed its plans to invest $5 billion in Russia’s Far East, news reports said Friday.

Investments will be channeled to regional economic zones and will finance large infrastructure projects, Russia’s Far East Development Ministry said.

“Russia is ready to take on the transit cargo coming from the Asia-Pacific region to Europe, in line with the plans of the Chinese government to reanimate the Great Silk Way,” said Far East Development Minister Alexander Galushka.

The new silk way is not meant to be a physical replica of the ancient route that connected China and the Mediterranean through Persia, but is rather a general concept of a land and sea transport corridor that has the same purpose — to link Asia and Europe, Galushka said.

“It goes without saying that Russia is prepared to participate in the effort to stabilize and restore Ukraine’s economy, however, not in a unilateral way, but on equal conditions with our European partners.” writes President Putin.

Microsoft Partners Lenovo, Tencent to Offer XP Tech Support in China

Microsoft Corp has partnered Lenovo Group Ltd and Tencent Holdings Ltd to provide software security services for Windows XP users in China, after the U.S. tech firm stopped updating the operating system.

Microsoft wants users to move to later, more secure versions of Windows and so stopped servicing the 13-year-old XP this week, potentially leaving users vulnerable to viruses and hacking.

XP has 200 million users in China, or 70 percent of the market, according to Zhongguancun Online, cited by state news agency Xinhua. Upgrading could be expensive as computers running XP might not be powerful enough for newer versions of Windows.

40 Central Banks Are Betting This Will Be The Next Reserve Currency

The US dollar remains in charge (for now)...but
The US dollar is still the world's most widely held reserve currency, accounting for nearly 33 per cent of global foreign exchange holdings at the end of last year, according to IMF data. That ratio has been declining since 2000, when 55 per cent of the world's reserves were denominated in US dollars.

The IMF does not disclose the percentage of reserves held in yuan, but the emerging market countries' share of reserves in "other currencies" has increased by almost 400 per cent since 2003, while that of developed nations grew 200 per cent, according to IMF data.

As SCMP goes on to note, the rising popularity of the yuan among central bankers is probably mainly due to Beijing's extremely favourable treatment of them as it has sought to encourage investment in the yuan.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If the US petrodollar collapses, it will be completely the fault of the US Federal Reserve and the US government, due to horrific mismanagement.

US Threatens Russia Over Petrodollar-Busting Deal

On the heels of Russia’s potential “holy grail” gas deal with China, the news of a Russia-Iran oil “barter” deal, it appears the US is starting to get very concerned about its almighty Petrodollar

*U.S. HAS WARNED RUSSIA, IRAN AGAINST POSSIBLE OIL BARTER DEAL
*U.S. SAYS ANY SUCH DEAL WOULD TRIGGER SANCTIONS
*U.S. HAS CONVEYED CONCERNS TO IRANIAN GOVT THROUGH ALL CHANNELS

We suspect these sanctions would have more teeth than some travel bans, but, as we noted previously, it is just as likely to be another epic geopolitical debacle resulting from what was originally intended to be a demonstration of strength and instead is rapidly turning out into a terminal confirmation of weakness.

Webmaster's Commentary:

With little fanfare, the P5+1 has been meeting with Iranian delegates to form a technical basis to a broader agreement on their nuclear energy program to replace the interim agreement, which is scheduled to expire on July 20th of this year.

We are already well into April; further sanctions may well cause Iran to completely withdraw from these negotiations, which may be precisely the outcome which Israel is pushing the US government have happen, so that if negotiations break down, it will be blamed on the Iranians.

Please note that the war criminal, "sick Dick" Cheney, has recently been heard advocating an Israeli attack against Iran, even while negotiations between the P5+1 and Iran are evolving toward a solution of the issues here.

But these US government financial threats are impotent; they will simply force more countries toward utilizing the yuan, the ruble, or (shudder, gasp), gold.

We may well be hearing the death knell of the petrodollar. And due to horrendous fiscal mismanagement, the Federal Reserve and the US government have no one but themselves to blame for it.

The people in these institutions may think that another world war is the only way to get out of the mess they have created, as happened in World War I and World War II; of course, that only worked in a world where the US ultimately had the best weaponry, and, in World War II, was the only country to have, and use, atomic weapons.

With so many other countries nuclear armed at this point, it is a very different situation at this point in the 21st century.

MH370: Chinese patrol ship detects pulse signal Haixun 01 records signal with same frequency as that of black box ping as search continues for missing plane

A Chinese search ship has detected an electronic pulse in an area of the southern Indian Ocean where it is believed the missing Malaysian Airlines plane crashed, state media has announced.

"Chinese patrol ship Haixun 01 searching for flight MH370 discovered a pulse signal with a frequency of 37.5kHz per second in south Indian Ocean waters Saturday," the official news agency, Xinhua, said. It also reported that a Chinese air force plane spotted a number of white floating objects in the search area.

Anish Patel, president of Dukane Seacom – which has said it made the beacons for the flight data and cockpit voice recorders on board MH370 – told CNN the pulse was identical to the standard beacon frequency.

The Haixun 01, one of two Chinese ships in the area, picked up the signal at about 25 degrees south latitude and 101 degrees east longitude, Xinhua reported.

China General Says “War With Japan Increasingly Likely” As Russia Conducts New Army Drill Near Latvia, Estonia

In the Pskov region with army aviation Western Military District (WEST) and units of the Airborne Troops (VDV) conducted a joint exercise. The event involved two pairs of Mi-8 MTV-5 and MI-24. On the eve of the crews flew from Leningrad Oblast to the airfield Crosses.

And just in case escalating tensions along Russia’s western border – and one can be certain Estonia and Latvia will scream bloody murder any second – here is a retired Chinese general who just told SCMP that a “war with Japan over territorial disputes is becoming increasingly likely” and that China is more than capable of defending itself.

And the bigest question mark: does China believe the US would step in to defend Japan? “Luo argued the US would not intervene in any conflict.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unfortunately, Japan and China have been unable (or unwilling) to resolve these maritime disputes.

The US is treaty bound to assist Japan militarily if there is any Chinese strike against it. That treaty was revisited and revised in October, 2013.

The United States and Japan are revisiting their mutual defense treaty for the first time in 16 years, since changes would have to be made to adapt to the looming threats in the Asia-Pacific region. US Secretary of State John Kerry and Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel are in Tokyo to meet with their Japanese counterparts, Fumio Kishida and Itsunori Onodera as part of the U.S.-Japan Security Consultative Committee meeting. The two allies made a pledge to create “a more robust alliance” in light of the growing military might of China and the now-quiet but still present threat of North Korea’s nuclear program. Kerry said that there are now different kinds of threats to the region and the bilateral alliance is an important part of their respective countries’ national security strategies.

Russia and China have an implicit mutual defense pact (with the unwieldy name: "The treaty of Good-Neighborliness"), with the following provisions:

The treaty outlines the broad strokes which are to serve as a basis for peaceful relations, economic cooperation, as well as diplomatic and geopolitical reliance. Controversially, Article 9 of the treaty can be seen as an implicit defense pact, and other articles (A7 and A16) point at increasing military cooperation, including the sharing of "military know-how" (A16), namely, Chinese access to Russian military technology.

So any war against China will be seen by Russia as a war against Russia.

I would like to politely point out to the adults in the room in the bowels of power in DC that the US military, at this point in its history, doesn't have the money, the troop strength, or the manufacturing to insure a positive outcome to a conventional war against either country, let alone both; and this is what makes a potential military scenario so scarily dangerous.

So...can we please get China and Japan back to the negotiating table?!? Because a world nuclear war is going to put a crimp into all our lives!!

“BDS is irrelevant.” Oh, really?

Rosenberg gives himself a hard time worrying that there would be no more Israel if Israelis had to obey international law and UN resolutions, and return the lands and resources they stole from the Palestinians. It's “an actual country”, he maintains. But I bet he cannot tell us its actual borders.

A quick trip to the BDS movement's website http://www.bdsmovement.net/call will expose Rosenberg's attempt to mislead.

What maddens Zionists most is that they cannot control civil society like they can pull the strings of the spineless political élite. They fear BDS action (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) will derail their precious project for a Greater Israel. So they now sneer at civil society and try to discourage further BDS efforts. This tactic comes across loud and clear in Michael Rosenberg's article 'The Goal Of The BDS Movement Is Dismantling Israel, Not The ’67 Occupation'.

Alberta student’s science project finds high radiation levels in grocery-store seafood

Alberta (Canada) high-school student Bronwyn Delacruz loves sushi, but became concerned last summer after learning how little food inspection actually takes place on some of its key ingredients.

The Grade 10 student from Grande Prairie said she was shocked to discover that, in the wake of the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) stopped testing imported foods for radiation in 2012.

So, she decided to carry out her own tests.

Armed with a $600 Geiger counter bought by her dad, Delacruz studied a variety of seafoods – particularly seaweeds – as part of an award-winning science project that she will take to a national fair next month.

“Some of the kelp that I found was higher than what the International Atomic Energy Agency sets as radioactive contamination, which is 1,450 counts over a 10-minute period,” she said. “Some of my samples came up as 1,700 or 1,800.”

How Americans can help world peace

A first step for world peace is for the American people to rein in their reckless government from the international stage and to stop it making misery for so many.

Americans need democratic government like the rest of the world needs rid of Washington's thuggish global policeman.

This may come as a shock to many ordinary Americans who tend to think that their country is already the beacon of democratic light unto the world, bestowing all sorts of benevolence to others. Such delusional "American exceptionalism" has to stop. America is only special in a very negative meaning. It plays a central part in fomenting conflict in almost every scenario we care to look at.

We see this nefarious US role in the never-ending Israeli-Palestinian travesty known as a "peace process". In reality, this process is but a continual green light for the Israeli regime to commit massive violation of international laws against the long-suffering Palestinian people.

The Chinese government is considering vastly expanding its network of surveillance and observation satellites that would build their network's stature to the size, or even larger, than the one operated by the United States.

It is one of the world’s longest railways — an approximately 11,000-kilometre “modern-day silk road” that traverses Russia and Kazakhstan to link a megacity in the heart of China with a key commercial hub in western Germany.

On Saturday, as part of his landmark visit to Germany, Chinese President Xi Jinping is set to visit the last stop on the “Yuxinou” rail line, an industrial feat that promises to revolutionise transport between Europe and Asia.

Duisburg is a steel-making town of around half a million on the confluence of the Rhine and Ruhr rivers that boasts the world’s biggest inland port and is one of Germany’s most important transport and commercial hubs.

Despite the vast distances between them, it takes just 16 days for trains crammed with laptops and electronics to travel to Duisburg from Chongqing, a sprawling metropolitan symbol of rising China with a population of more than 30 million.

Dollar Hegemony Under Attack By Export-Superpowers Germany and China

The word dollar didn’t even come up. “The volume of transactions that can be carried out in the Chinese currency in international and German financial centers is not commensurate with China’s importance in the global economy,” the Bundesbank explained in its dry manner on Friday in Berlin, after signing a memorandum of understanding with the People’s Bank of China. President Xi Jinping and Chancellor Angela Merkel were looking on. It was serious business. Everyone knew what this was about. No one had to say it.

The agreement spelled out how the two central banks would cooperate on the clearing and settlement of payments denominated in renminbi – to get away from the dollar’s hegemony as payments currency and as reserve currency.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Nixon's having decoupled the US dollar from the gold standard, along with quantitative easing by the dollarholics in this country, have led to the absolute demise of the dollar in world trade.

This is why we are seeing such a furious march toward a world war, as that worked twice before for the US government in terms of restoring the dollar as the hegemonic world currency.

However, that was before Russia and China had nuclear arms capability. And I would like to politely remind those in the bowels of power in DC and Tel Aviv that at this time in its history, the US military doesn't have the money, the manufacturing, or the troop strength to insure a positive outcome to a conventional war with Russia and/or China: and this is what makes the military scenario against either or both countries so scarily dangerous.

With the taste of the Libyan tragedy, the Syrian destabilization, and the Ukrainian coup still lingering in the mouths of the citizens of those nations, the unfortunate fruits of those labors are now clearly visible in the enormous death toll, savagery, and austerity that is currently engulfing the victim countries.

Those destabilization campaigns, all initiated with violence from the beginning, yet portrayed as “peaceful democracy-loving protesters” by the Western media, were paraded in front of millions of American television screens night after night for the purpose of propagandizing a frighteningly gullible public at home who themselves have a natural inclination toward supporting the underdog in any given fight (unless that underdog is the overt target of the United States).

US in talks with India, China to isolate Russia: State Department

The US has been talking with India and China among other countries as part of diplomatic efforts to isolate Russia but it has not yet asked them to impose any sanctions, an American official said today.

"We have been talking with other countries diplomatically, though, if you remember the Security Council vote last weekend. It was significant that China, for example, abstained and did not vote with Russia," State department deputy spokesperson Marie Harf told reporters.

"Well, I don't think we're there yet. Obviously, we've been consulting very closely with the Europeans about sanctions," Ms Harf said when asked if the US was going to seek Iran-oil like sanction from countries outside NATO.

China denounced Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Friday for drawing an analogy between Russia's behaviour in Crimea and China's actions in the disputed East and South China Seas, accusing Abe of hypocrisy.

Japan's Kyodo news agency said Abe raised the issue at a G7 meeting in The Hague this month, warning that China was trying to change the status quo through coercion, and said something similar to Russia's seizing of Crimea could happen in Asia.

Western Unity Against Russia a Masterpiece of Illusion

European political figures of increasingly low caliber are indulging this American parody of reality by appearing to unite around Obama’s call for tougher sanctions against Russia. Britain’s David Cameron and his German and French counterparts, Angela Merkel and Francois Hollande, issued warnings of imposing economic penalties on Russian businesses and industries. Lots of bombast and melodrama were on cue, but there was a distinct lack of guts to follow.

The crisis in legitimacy for Washington and its coterie of allies stems from the fact that these countries are no longer the economic powers that they once were. The centre of global economic gravity is shifting to the BRICS – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, among other emerging economies. Asia, Africa and Latin America are the future; North America and Europe are the past.

Beijing hotel workers already 'fed up' with Obama entourage in 3400-square-foot, $8,350-per-night suite inconveniencing 'pretty much everyone' – and the first lady's mother is 'barking at the staff'

Michelle Obama and three of her family members are staying in a $8,350-per-night Beijing presidential suite, but despite a 24-hour butler and other perks that come with the lodging, her entourage has inconvenienced 'pretty much everyone' and made the hotel staff 'fed up,' a well-placed hotel staffer has told MailOnline.

The sumptuous pad at the Westin Beijing Chaoyang hotel – its website calls the room 'an oasis of comfort – is a 3,400-square-foot masterpiece including a private steam room, 'corner sofas with silk pillows,' and in-room dining for six.

Petrodollar Alert: Putin Prepares To Announce "Holy Grail" Gas Deal With China

While Europe is furiously scrambling to find alternative sources of energy should Gazprom pull the plug on natgas exports to Germany and Europe (the imminent surge in Ukraine gas prices by 40% is probably the best indication of what the outcome would be), Russia is preparing the announcement of the "Holy Grail" energy deal with none other than China, a move which would send geopolitical shockwaves around the world and bind the two nations in a commodity-backed axis. One which, as some especially on these pages, have suggested would lay the groundwork for a new joint, commodity-backed reserve currency that bypasses the dollar, something which Russia implied moments ago when its finance minister Siluanov said that Russia may regain from foreign borrowing this year. Translated: bypass western purchases of Russian debt, funded by Chinese purchases of US Treasurys, and go straight to the source.

Small wars loom large on China's horizon

Broad hints have been coming out of China that the country might start small-scale military strikes over disputed waters that are believed to hold rich energy reserves. The consequences of such endeavors would be tolerable to Beijing, international experts say.

Bitter territorial disputes China has with neighbors in the East and South China Seas have long grabbed media headlines. Virtually all countries in the region are involved in spats with China, from South Korea and Japan to the Philippines and Vietnam. In March alone, Beijing had verbal clashes with Seoul over a submerged rock; with Manila over the Philippines' plan to build a ferry pier; and with Hanoi over China's biggest offshore oil explorer's moves to develop oil and gas fields.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The problem, given today's geopolitical tensions and advances in technology, is that "small scale military strikes" can escalate out of control, creating an entirely different, and potentially unimaginable, outcome, from what they were engineered to do.

U.S. and allies move to counter Chinese power

The pieces of a new strategic kaleidoscope in the Asia-Pacific region are starting to fall into place as allies and security partners of the United States seek to deter China from using or threatening force to achieve its expansive aims, particularly in the South China Sea, which forms the maritime heart of Southeast Asia.

A contingent of about 200 U.S. Marines will soon arrive in Darwin, northern Australia. They are the forerunners of a bigger force of up to 2,500 marines agreed in November by leaders of the two allies.

U.S.-China Tensions Intensify Over Korean Crisis

North Korea has been blamed for the sinking of a South Korean warship in March that killed 46 sailors. Last month, Pyongyang announced it had a uranium enrichment program. And, just before Thanksgiving, North Korea launched an artillery barrage on a South Korean island, killing four people, including two civilians.

China has been encouraging the resumption of six-party talks involving North Korea and regional powers. But U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Jim Steinberg says Washington sees that as simply a reward for bad behavior.

Steinberg will lead an American delegation to China next week to talk with officials there about North Korea.

Webmaster's Commentary:

But at least, next week, there will be talks between the US and China, and this may well be a hopeful sign.

Russia and China share borders with North Korea. The U.S. is a continent away. A new conflagration on the peninsula would directly affect the first two nations. Every semester, 725 students register for his Race and Ethnic Relations course, one of the most popular classes at Penn State and the largest of its kind in the country. Through his natural ability of seeing a subject from many angles, Richards encourages students to engage more fully with the world and to think for themselves — something he did not do until his third year in college. Because of his passion for challenging students to open their minds, an interviewer recently referred to him as "an alarm clock for eighteen-year-olds."

U.S. Provokes China

Nov 30 02:36

While The World Focuses on the Stumbling US Dollar and the Euro, The "Workers' Paradise" Is Showing Signs of "Western" Contagion.

China’s new financial instability is another measure of the deepening global economic crisis and sharpening social antagonisms in what we are told is a classless society. Beijing’s measures to control inflation and speculation could slash growth sharply leading to rising unemployment, poverty and social discontent. And "social discontent" in a country of 1.4 billion people may be something of an understatment.

What would Chairman Mao do?

WikiLeaks files may put ideas in heads of Chinese hackers: analysis

Perhaps of more concern to Beijing’s mandarins is not so much the content of the leaks, but the mere fact a leak on such a massive scale might put ideas into the heads of their own people or officials who chafe under draconian information restrictions.

The files contain 3297 cables from Beijing, 555 from Shanghai, 662 from Guangzhou, 260 from Chengdu 260, 120 from Shenyang 120 and 950 from Hong Kong, and Beijing will be watching anxiously to see what they contain.

North Korea can trigger the feared 21st century US-China war

http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?articleId=634129&publicationSubCa...

The recent exchange of artillery fire in the Yellow Sea between the armed forces of North Korea and South Korea caused Asian stocks to tumble and heightened fears that North Korea might recklessly instigate another US-China war, similar to what happened during the 1950s Korean War.

By now, many Chair Wrecker readers have realized why we have been raising the alarm for over three years now for Filipinos to watch intently the moves that the US has been making in Mindanao and against China. Three years ago, your Chair Wrecker felt like a Biblical Prophet, alone and unheeded, crying out in the wilderness.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Okay, so war is inevitable. But if we are a free people then we have the freedom to decide for ourselves just who we shall make war on. Shall we spend our blood making war on the enemies the bankers have chosen for us, or are we, like the people of Europe, better off making war on the bankers?

CHINA TELLS AMERICA: Turn Around The USS George Washington

China's Foreign Ministry said in an online posting that naval exercises risks starting a war: "We oppose any military act by any party conducted in China's exclusive economic zone without approval."

Webmaster's Commentary:

I think that it is obvious that the United States has decided that the best way to get out of the debts owed to China is to murder the people the money is owed to! Of course, American self-image requires some kind of hoax to make it look like China is to blame for the US attack. Like Hitler and Gliewitz, Roosevelt ad Pearl Harbor, or Bush and Saddam's 'nookular' weapons.

Obama to call China's Hu over Korean crisis

With top U.S. officials continuing to declare that help from China will be key in calming tensions between North and South Korea, President Obama is planning to call Chinese President Hu Jintao in the next few days to discuss the critical situation, according to senior administration officials.

The phone call will come just days after Obama held a bilateral meeting with Hu on the sidelines of the G-20 summit in Seoul, South Korea, where administration officials were quick to tout the fact that it was the seventh face-to-face meeting the two leaders have had since Obama took office.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF this is true ( in light of the fact that South Korean military personnel, with American "advisors" in attendance, started this whole situation), it is a positive sign.

IS THE U.S INDIRECTLY PROVOKING CHINA?

On Tuesday 23 November 2010 the South Korean military launched an artillery barrage that saw its shells fall into disputed waters close to North Korea. South Korea does not deny it fired first by firing shells into the disputed waters but says the shelling was ‘away from the north’. The North Koreans had already warned the South Koreans that they would consider such an act as a direct provocation and respond accordingly.

US urges China to act over North Korea

President Barack Obama's administration urged China to press North Korea to halt provocative actions against South Korea, after an artillery attack on the South that the U.S. called a "premeditated" violation of the truce that ended the Korean War.

As the isolated North's only ally and main economic partner, China plays a "pivotal" role in reducing tensions and has a duty to tell Pyongyang that deliberate acts "specifically intended to inflame tensions in the region" are not acceptable, the State Department said.

U.S. Calls on China to Use Influence to Restrain North Korea

Webmaster's Commentary:

This sounds a lot like the US asking HAMAS to stop the Palestinians from shooting back when Israel attacks them. Because South Korea provoked this exchange of gunfire by shooting into North Korean waters in what is a clear provocation.

Obama's agenda here is twofold. First, by shifting the focus from North Korea to China, he draws attention away from that provocation. Second, it is clear that between the G20, in which China refused to alter their currency when "ordered" to do so, and the dropping of the dollar in trade with Russia, that the war focus has shifted from Iran to China, with war with China being the convenenint excuse to erase the debts owed to China, and of course, that is easily worth the few million dead Americans such a war will cost, right President Pansy?

U.S. sends carrier to Yellow Sea for exercises near Korea

Chinese Maj. Gen. Zhu Chenghu told state-run media in July that "if the United States truly wants to take into account the overall interests of the Sino-U.S. relationship, then it must on no account send its USS Washington to the Yellow Sea." He called the area "sensitive."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Between the US debt owed to China, China's refusal to make their own people suffer to fix the US Government's self-imposed economic melt-down, and yesterday's announcement that Russia and China are dropping the dollar for bilateral trade, the US government has a strong motive to start a war with China and try to make it look like either China or China's client state North Korea's fault, in order to justify erasing those debts with bombs and the blood of young Americans. Just as the firing of shells into North Korea's waters was a provocation, the deployment of the USS George Washington into the Yellow Sea is a provocation. And I note that Popular Mechanics December magazine features a cover story about the Chinese "threat" to US aircraft carriers!

Crisis of Fiat Currencies: US Dollar Surpluses Converted into Gold

Something is going on that your government does not want you to know about. Very few journalists have written about it and little or nothing has appeared in the mainstream media. The story could be one of major stories of our time.

Western powers have tried to destroy gold as a backing for currencies for many years. Presently the major media won’t touch the story and that is understandable.

Something we have been writing about for years is the Shanghai Cooperation Organization known as SCO. Few have been listening and few have been interested in what their mission is and what they have been up to.

Sorcha Faal punks CNN iReport to push China missile hoax

Nov 20 07:51

Who fed the tiger?

Missiles fired from the Chinese mainland could destroy five of the six major U.S. air bases in the Far East. So states a new report of the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission, adding:

"Saturation missile strikes could destroy U.S. air defenses, runways, parked aircraft, and fuel and maintenance facilities. Complicating this scenario is the future deployment of China's anti-ship ballistic missile, which could hold U.S. aircraft carriers at bay outside their normal operating range."

Opposite Taiwan, China's missile force has reached 1,600.

Beijing is also building rockets, submarines and surface fleets to extend her dominance out to the third chain of islands, enabling the People's Liberation Army to strike U.S. carriers and bases as far away as Guam.

Encircling Russia, Targeting China, NATO'S True Role in US Grand Strategy

Israel’s aggressive stance toward its regional neighbors would be a serious liability for NATO, apt to be dragged into wars of Israel’s choosing which are by no means in the interest of Europe.

However, there is one subtle strategic advantage in the Israeli connection which the United States seems to be using… against Russia.

By subscribing to the hysterical “Iranian threat” theory, the United States can continue to claim with a straight face that the planned missile shield is directed against Iran, not Russia. This cannot be expected to convince the Russians. But it can be used to make their protests sound “paranoid” – at least to the ears of the Western faithful. Dear me, what can they be complaining about when we “reset” our relations with Moscow and invite the Russian president to our “Strategic Concept” happy gathering?

US panel lashes out at China

n a much-anticipated report, the US-China Economic and Security Review commission has accused Beijing of deceptive economic practises, effectively reigniting the two countries' spat over currency and trade issues.

Presenting its findings to the US Congress, the congressional advisory panel has recommended the Obama administration to take tougher actions against what it calls China's policy of keeping its currency undervalued.

On Wednesday, the commission said that China is creating global imbalances and using "market access-limiting practises" that fall outside its World Trade Organisation commitments.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This a petulant President's revenge for not getting what he wanted out of the G20 conference.

China is not to blame for the US's financial woes: our current domestic, foreign, and banking policies have brought us to the place we are now.

China has an enviable surplus: the US government may well collapse, choking under the weight its own deficit.

Jobs have been allowed by this government to be offshored, creating a huge unemployment problem in this country.

Those people who, legitimately, qualified for a mortgage when they got it, but are now without work, cannot keep up the payments, so houses are foreclosed on, and these people are now both jobless and homeless.

You have a situation where he banks have deliberately oversold those mortgages to the point where no one really knows exactly who holds the title.

Obama has continued an endless cycle of costly wars, with the situations in Afghanistan and Iraq going horrendously badly; yet, we are also at war in Pakistan, and soon, Yemen.

The only people actually "winning" in these situations are the defense contractors, who provide mercenaries, supplies and logistics, and the drug lords.

Did the Chinese government do anything to cause any of the above to happen?!? Not at all.

The US government is desperately attempting to deflect blame from the fact that it is US governmental policies which have wreaked havoc on the lives of the American people, not the Chinese government.

China Telecom rejects US hijack claims

A leading Chinese telecommunication company has rejected the US claims implicating the firm for some temporary redirecting of sensitive Internet traffic on US websites.

China Telecom, one of the country's major telecommunications operators, rejected US claims that its servers "hijacked" highly sensitive Internet traffic for 18 minutes on April 8 on American government and military websites, AFP reported on Thursday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

More gratuitous China-bashing and rather lame since there is no reason for such sensitive US traffic to even leave the US networks let alone route through Chinese servers. Since the "great revolt" that transformed the ARPAnet into the Internet, the military has set up a parallel network of their own, which for obvious reasons is not connected to the global internet. So this story was a non-starter, to begin with

Chatter on China Food Price Controls Hits Asian Stocks

It was an ugly day over in the Chinese stock markets, setting up the U.S. for a dour open.

The Shanghai Composite was down 4%, the Hang Seng was down 1.4%. The declines came on fears China may impose price controls to combat higher-than-expected inflation pressure.

While such measures may be considered as last resort by Beijing, if implemented, impact on corporate earnings could be quite negative. “Higher resource prices may force authorities to turn to price controls rather than tighten policy. It occurred in 2007, ending the bull market despite strong growth,” Nomura says...

Mongolia's "Color Revolution" & Banker Colonization

As the bipolar Cold War system ended, a transitory phase of globalization was initiated in order to pave the way for global governance.

The color revolutions of the 21st century were a highly sophisticated method of transforming nation states into such a world system.

Mongolia experienced the draft form of color revolution in its "Red Rose Revolution" in the 1990's. The sparsely populated country was easier to manipulate due to its corrupt politics and post-Communist identity crisis.

As with many buffer states, Mongolia regarded it as beneficial economically, geo-strategically and security-wise to cooperate with larger powers such as the U.S. [1]

Blocked from major new domestic initiatives by a Republican victory in the midterm elections, President Barack Obama promptly lit out for Asia, a far more promising arena. That continent, after all, is rising, and Obama is eager to grasp the golden ring of Asian success.

Beyond being a goodwill ambassador for ten days, Obama is seeking sales of American-made durable and consumer goods, weapons deals, an expansion of trade, green energy cooperation, and the maintenance of a geopolitical balance in the region favorable to the United States. Just as the decline of the American economy hobbled him at home, however, the weakness of the United States on the world stage in the aftermath of Bush-era excesses has made real breakthroughs abroad unlikely.

Chinese Missiles Could Close U.S. Bases in Attack, Report Says

The Chinese military’s non-nuclear missiles have “the capability to attack” and close down five of six major U.S. Air Force bases in South Korea and Japan, an unpublished government report says.

China’s improved inventory of short- and medium-range missiles provides a “dramatic increase” in its ability to “inhibit” U.S. military operations in the western Pacific, according to excerpts from the draft of the 2010 annual report by the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission scheduled for release on Nov. 17.
