Afghan surge in 'vital national interest': Obama | WHAT REALLY HAPPENED

Afghan surge in 'vital national interest': Obama

Sending 30,000 more troops into Afghanistan is in the "vital national interest" of the United States, US President Barack Obama has said as he unveiled his new strategy.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. President, forgive me, but that line could only be delivered to the American people with a straight face by the one of the most gifted sociopaths in politics - and that's saying something.

The war in Afghanistan has nothing to do with the 'vital national interest' of the US. The Afghan people are no threat to the US. You, the Congress, and the Pentagon all understand this very clearly.

But the 'vital interests" being protected by this immoral and insane war have nothing to do with the security of this county.

They are the "profit motive" reasons for the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan.

The first is the installation of pipelines to control Eurasian oil.

The second is the control of the drug trade, which the Taliban had almost completely obliterated under their watch.

I am completely repulsed by not only breaking your campaign promise about ending the war in Afghanistan as quickly as possible, but also the way in which you lied to the American people in this address.

The American people deserve far better of their President; far better, and someone who can actually tell the truth.
