What is going on here is no mystery, on the part of the IDF; the world has known since the time of the Inquisition, that torture, physical or emotional, will not bring forward the truth, but a confession toward a pre-conceived result that the torturers wanted to hear.

And this is precisely what the IDF is doing to Palestinian children. Torture, sometimes physical, sometimes emotional, is applied to these kids until they crack, and create fanciful tales of what other young men in their villages are doing. And the second phase of that is to attempt to inculcate a sense of inferiority into these children, much as the "Jim Crow" laws of the American south attempted to create an atmosphere of fear and self-doubt for African Americans.

One would of thought that those in Israel who were descendents of those who suffered so greatly in the Holocaust, would have become poster children for humanity, democracy, and universal human rights.

Unfortunately, it appears that 21st century Israel has devolved into a wretchedly apartheid, self-proclaimed theocracy with nuclear weapons.
