War is Not ‘Good’ For the Economy (Except for the merchants of death…)

Only the Pentagon would think we need to discover a morality behind appropriate methods to kill people using machines that can decide who to murder based off of a software program. Wow. Can anyone imagine what’ll happen when they get a computer virus? “Well, we regret the loss of innocent life at the Market Square Massacre, but it was a software glitch. But there’s good news! It’s covered under the warranty!” Pardon me while I puke. We’ve gone from building bicycles and stoves to death machines and robot soldiers.

Are Neocons Getting Ready to Ally With Hillary Clinton?

AFTER nearly a decade in the political wilderness, the neoconservative movement is back, using the turmoil in Iraq and Ukraine to claim that it is President Obama, not the movement’s interventionist foreign policy that dominated early George W. Bush-era Washington, that bears responsibility for the current round of global crises.

Even as they castigate Mr. Obama, the neocons may be preparing a more brazen feat: aligning themselves with Hillary Rodham Clinton and her nascent presidential campaign, in a bid to return to the driver’s seat of American foreign policy.

US-NATO Military Escalation on Russia’s Doorstep, Deployment of “Nuclear Attack Units”. Moscow Has Issued Warning

The United States feigned surprise during the simulation of an attack by the Russian aviation against the USS Donald Cook in the Baltic Sea. And yet, as we have reported, Russia already has the capacity to block the ship’s Communications & Commands, and did so, observes Manlio Dinucci, because the ship was in the process of violating the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF).

Over 20 soldiers dead, more than 200 hospitalized after U.S. lab leaks ‘new and deadly virus’ in Ukraine

If you haven’t heard – and judging by the lack of coverage of this by the legacy media, you haven’t – a U.S. lab is being blamed for what would amount to an atrocity if it were committed on American soil.

As noted by Zero Hedge and reported by Ukrainian media, scores of soldiers were killed or sickened by a never-heard-of “virus” that likely leaked from a U.S. lab near the city of Kharkov. The illness? “California flu.”

“More than 20 Ukrainian soldiers have died and over 200 soldiers are hospitalized in a short period of time because of new and deadly virus, which is immune to all medicines,” Donbass News International reported.

KILLER AIRWAVES: RUSSIA STARTS TRIAL OF ELECTROMAGNETIC WARFARE SYSTEM

Russia’s electronic warfare equipment producer launched tests of a tactical electromagnetic combat complex fully integrated with latest air-defense systems. It guarantees complete neutralization of all enemy electronics.
Factory testing is underway for components of the new system, capable of protecting troops and civilian facilities from air and space attacks, a representative of Russia’s leading producer of electronic warfare systems, Radio-Electronic Technologies Concern (KRET), told TASS. The tests are expected to be completed by the end of 2016.

Integrated with air defense systems and networks, the new complex “maintains automated real-time intelligence data exchange with the airspace defense task force” to facilitate centralized target distribution, the source said.

HOW BRIBES TO POLITICIANS FROM ARMS DEALERS KEEP WARS GOING

With leaders all over the world on the take for millions, the defense industry has spawned a global business that profits from war, supports corruption everywhere, and must, for its survival, fan the flames of civil wars and global conflict.

That is the premise of “Shadow World” — a powerful new documentary. In this week’s podcast, WhoWhatWhy’s Jeff Schectman talks to the film’s director Johan Grimonprez and its writer Andrew Feinstein.

As a member of the African National Congress in South Africa, Feinstein saw firsthand how the corruption and payoffs worked — and their grim consequences:

“Within five years of the advent of our democracy, our country decided to spend $10 billion on weapons that we didn’t need, that we barely used, and the primary reason for that was that $300 millions in bribes were paid. And it had a profound effect of South Africa’s democracy.

David Swanson: US Wars Are Not Waged Out of Generosity or for Democracy

Why do we seem to be trapped in an endless cycle of war, with each new military adventure promised to be different than the last? David Swanson's War Is a Lie takes apart and thoroughly refutes every major argument that has been used to justify wars, especially those wars most widely trumpeted as just and good.

In this interview, David Swanson, author of War Is a Lie, counters the theory that war is an inevitable part of human nature, says the antiwar movement is larger than the dominant media suggest and shares the view that wars are fought primarily for money and markets.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Congress - and the White House - are all purchased commodities in the struggle for market domination by corporations.

And those naive enough to believe that the American election process gives us the candidates - and ultimately - the right people for the jobs of Congressional representatives and president, are fooling themselves.

By the times candidates are vetted, and chosen (and financially supported) by the corporations which own them, it matters not what the voters think at all; voting in this country has devolved to a Kabuki-like exercise in which people have the illusion that they have had some say in the matter of American leadership, when they have none whatsoever.

And the degree of vote-rigging in this country?!? Absolutely amazing. If you have not seen it, please see Bev Harris' video, "Hacking democracy", which demonstrates, painfully clearly, how voting machines can be rigged in favor of a particular candidate.

Obama Dismisses NKorea Proposal on Halting Nuke Tests

A day after North Korea's foreign minister told The Associated Press that his country is ready to halt its nuclear tests if the United States suspends its annual military exercises with South Korea, President Barack Obama said Sunday that Washington isn't taking the proposal seriously and Pyongyang would "have to do better than that."

North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Su Yong, interviewed Saturday by the AP, also defended his country's right to maintain a nuclear deterrent and warned that Pyongyang won't be cowed by international sanctions. And for those waiting for the North's regime to collapse, he had this to say: Don't hold your breath.

"Stop the nuclear war exercises in the Korean Peninsula, then we should also cease our nuclear tests," he said in his first interview Saturday with a Western news organization.

Obama dismissed North Korea's latest overture at a news conference Sunday with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Hannover, Germany.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A short memo to President Obama: the longer you wait to engage with China in serious negotiations to replace the Armistice (which is simply a cessation of military activities)with a real peace treaty, the sooner Kim Jung Un, or his successor will possess - and be able to successfully aim - a nuclear weapon.

This should have been on your "to do" list from the very moment you took the oath of office; but obviously, you have chosen to just let the situation fester here, because you have been hoping for a potential war with China, in order to defeat the rise of the yuan.

But sir, I need to ask you: did you happen to get the memo that last week that China is issuing a gold-backed yuan, which is not convertible at all into US dollars?!?

Apparently, Mr. President, the Chinese government was way ahead of you on this.

OBAMA WENT FROM CONDEMNING SAUDIS FOR ABUSES TO ARMING THEM TO THE TEETH

In the 2002 speech against the Iraq War that helped propel him to the presidency, then-state Sen. Barack Obama denounced not just the looming invasion of Iraq, but also human rights abuses by our “so-called allies” in Saudi Arabia:
Let’s fight to make sure our so-called allies in the Middle East, the Saudis and the Egyptians, stop oppressing their own people, and suppressing dissent, and tolerating corruption and inequality, and mismanaging their economies so that their youth grow up without education, without prospects, without hope, the ready recruits of terrorist cells.
And he spoke out against the U.S.’s role as weapons supplier to the world:

Let’s fight to make sure … that the arms merchants in our own country stop feeding the countless wars that rage across the globe.

Webmaster's Commentary:

In the current bent of American geopolitics, money trumps any possibly of intelligent, and enlightened, foreign policy every time, and the country's president is the "house servant" to the military industrial complex.

Nothing demonstrates that more clearly than does the US government's relationship with Saudi Arabia, a country with a human rights record just to the right of that of Attila the Hun.

"Corporate money uber alles" is the clear winner here.

How many people are aware that a world war has begun? At present, it is a war of propaganda, of lies and distraction, but this can change instantaneously with the first mistaken order, the first missile.

In 2009, President Obama stood before an adoring crowd in the centre of Prague, in the heart of Europe. He pledged himself to make “the world free from nuclear weapons”. People cheered and some cried. A torrent of platitudes flowed from the media. Obama was subsequently awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Beijing May Keep Nuclear Missiles on Ready Alert

As China develops its next-generation intercontinental ballistic missile, the military may also implement a new plan to keep the country’s nuclear arsenal on hair-trigger alert, ready to launch at a moment’s notice.

North Korea Will Pursue Nuclear Missile Program, Envoy Says

North Korea will pursue its nuclear and ballistic missile program in defiance of the United States and its allies, a top Pyongyang envoy said on Friday, adding that a state of “semi-war” now existed on the divided Korean peninsula.

So Se Pyong, North Korea’s ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, denounced the huge joint U.S.-South Korean military exercises taking place which he said were aimed at “decapitation of the supreme leadership of the DPRK (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea)” and conquering Pyongyang.

North Korea conducted a fourth nuclear test in January and launched a long-range rocket in February. The South Korean military said on Friday that North Korea had fired a missile into the sea off its east coast.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unfortunately, through their stances and threats to North Korea, the US and South Korean governments have no one else to blame for the sharp uptick in North Korean government rhetoric on their nuclear development.

I mean, a military de-cap strike simulation against North Korea in the military drills South Korea and the US have been holding?!?

No one has to be Fellini to figure that one out, and it does appear, very clearly, that the US and South Korea are pushing toward war against North Korea before it does develop a thorough, nuclear weapon capacity.

Flashback: ISIS Seizes Nuclear Material—but That’s Not the Reason to Worry

What we appear to be talking about here is 40 kilograms of compounds of natural or depleted uranium – useless for a terrorist group trying to make a nuclear bomb. It’s of no significant use for a “dirty bomb” either, as uranium is only very weakly radioactive. Even if intentionally dispersed in a city, it would pose only a modest health hazard (far less than the risk to human life from virtually everything else the Islamic State has been doing). It’s not clear this even demonstrates an interest by the Islamic State in getting materials for a nuclear bomb – they may have just seized whatever happened to be lying around at the university, without thinking in any detail about what they were going to use it for.

"Dirty Bomb" Fears Rise As Belgian Nuclear Facilities Seen As Vulnerable To ISIS Attacks

Hours after brothers Khalid and Ibrahim El-Bakraoui and two other men (one of whom may or may not have been bombmaker Najim Laachraoui) detonated explosives-laden vests and luggage at the Brussels airport and metro murdering nearly two dozen people and wounding scores more, we were alarmed but not entirely surprised to see Belgium evacuate the Tihange nuclear power plant.

“A small video camera stashed in a row of bushes silently recorded the comings and goings of the family of a Brussels-area man with an important scientific pedigree last year, producing a detailed chronology of the family’s movements,” Foreign Policy wrote, late last month. “At one point, two men came under cover of darkness to retrieve the camera, before driving away with their headlamps off, a separate surveillance camera in the area revealed later.”

A world war has begun. Break the silence – John Pilger

Bikini is silent today, mutated and contaminated. Palm trees grow in a strange grid formation. Nothing moves. There are no birds. The headstones in the old cemetery are alive with radiation. My shoes registered "unsafe" on a Geiger counter.

Standing on the beach, I watched the emerald green of the Pacific fall away into a vast black hole. This was the crater left by the hydrogen bomb they called "Bravo". The explosion poisoned people and their environment for hundreds of miles, perhaps forever.

On my return journey, I stopped at Honolulu airport and noticed an American magazine called Women's Health. On the cover was a smiling woman in a bikini swimsuit, and the headline: "You, too, can have a bikini body." A few days earlier, in the Marshall Islands, I had interviewed women who had very different "bikini bodies;" each had suffered thyroid and other life-threatening cancers.

Washington, Kiss Your Silly Missile Defense Goodbye

Russia’s advanced RS-26 intercontinental ballistic missile has a range of 11,000 km. For illustration, Washington DC is 7843 kilometers from Moscow. The new RS-26 also is capable of a continuously changing trajectory, meaning that it can penetrate even the most advanced missile defense shields. According to a report in the Chinese media after their military leaders were shown a demonstration, even though it weighs just 80 tons, compared to the 120-ton RS-24 Yars predecessor, the Rubezh loads a frightening 1,2 megatons into its four 300 kiloton warheads. Moreover, its booster stage is under five minutes, which means that NATO radars in Europe will have no time to register the launch.

Why I Won’t be Voting for Hillary in November

Hillary Clinton on her best of days is still a serious menace to both the earth’s continuance as a habitable planet, and to peace. A committed neoliberal who has pursued, both as a senator and as a secretary of state, a policy of economic and military destabilization of sovereign governments, with no regard for the aftermath of such criminality (think Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Venezuela, Libya, Ukraine and Honduras, but especially Libya, Ukraine and Honduras, which were very much her doing in her last public position as secretary of state), Clinton has made it clear even on the campaign trail that she considers Russia to be an enemy. If elected, she has also made it clear she’ll continue a dangerous policy of brinksmanship, pushing for NATO membership of more nations bordering Russia, and moving offensive weapons and troops there too.

Ron Paul Warns of Dollar Collapse 100% In 28 May 2016 – China And Russia Are Preparing For A Bankrupt US Financial System

When the government spends more than it collects, the result is additional debt. From the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 until 2008, the U.S. accumulated slightly over $10 trillion in federal debt. In the past seven years, the debt has nearly doubled to more than $18 trillion. By the year 2019, it is projected to exceed $20.3 trillion. When interest rates rise, the impact will be felt by the federal government as well as everyday Americans. First, it will increase the government’s cost of borrowing, which will cause the debt to rise even faster. It’s entirely possible that even a modest rise in interest rates could cause the debt to spiral out of control.

US warhawks have focused their efforts on the further encirclement of Russia, US author Jonathan Marshall writes, adding that Washington is taking aim at Russia's "underbelly."

The Great Game for dominance over Central Asia that started almost two hundred years ago is far from being over, American author Jonathan Marshall notes; this time, Washington is maneuvering to beef up its military presence "on Russia's underbelly."

"Last month, the Pentagon announced plans for $50 million in new military aid to Central Asia — with a focus on Tajikistan — to 'counter the Taliban, ISIL [an acronym for Islamic State], and other regionally-based terrorist groups, and to promote stability in the region.' The aid will also help the US military get its feet in the door by enabling 'interoperability and collaboration' with local partner armed forces," Marshall writes in his article for Consortiumnews.com.

Russian Ties in Central Asia Threaten US Interests - CENTCOM Chief Nominee

Webmaster's Commentary:

50 million dollars of US military aid to... Tajikistan?!?

Are you flipping kidding me?!?!?

As reported on 17 February of this year at hrw.org:

The Tajik government is arresting, imprisoning, and torturing members of the country’s peaceful political opposition, Human Rights Watch and the Norwegian Helsinki Committee said today. The government is also targeting perceived critics abroad, seeking their detention and extradition back to Tajikistan, and has forcibly disappeared critics abroad only to have them reappear in Tajik custody. Tajikistan’s deteriorating human rights situation worsened dramatically in the last year with the forced closure of Tajikistan’s leading opposition party, the Islamic Renaissance Party of Tajikistan (IRPT) in September 2015. In March, an opposition figure, Umarali Kuvvatov, was shot dead in Istanbul in circumstances that point to involvement or acquiescence by the Tajik government. “Tajikistan is in the midst of the worst political and religious crackdown since the end of the country’s civil war, with hundreds of people landing behind bars for no other reason than their peaceful political work,” said Steve Swerdlow, Central Asia researcher at Human Rights Watch. “Tajikistan’s human rights crisis is expanding by the day, but the response of Washington, Brussels, and other international partners has fallen seriously short.” Recent research by Human Rights Watch and the Norwegian Helsinki Committee uncovered a wide-ranging campaign by Tajik authorities to detain, imprison, and silence peaceful opposition activists and perceived critics at home and abroad. Dushanbe has sought the detention and forcible return to Tajikistan of peaceful political activists in Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Turkey, and elsewhere. Since a wave of arrests that began on September 16, Tajik and other observers, including the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom, estimate that Tajik police and security services have arrested hundreds of members of the Islamic Renaissance Party on politically motivated charges. A major trial of 16 senior party leaders began on February 9, 2016.

The alleged "President" of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, has a human rights record JUST to the right of that of Attila the Hun; and THIS is the guy the US government wants to deal with here?!?

Apparently, in DC-Speak, "stability" in Central Asia means suppressing political processes in places like Tajikistan.

However, I would very strongly caution the author Johnathan Marshall, that such actions can have a very distinct, and negative blow-back for the US; every Iranian who lived through the 1979 revolution, which kicked out the US-installed puppet Shah of Iran, understands how that can happen.

The late President Kennedy said it best: "When peaceful revolution is impossible, violent revolution is inevitable."

‘Flames and Ashes’: Pyongyang Orders More Nuclear Tests

Pyongyang claims to have miniaturized nuclear warhead capabilities, placing the world in North Korea’s crosshairs, but security analysts remain skeptical on how far the Kim regime has come.

Pyongyang claims to have miniaturized nuclear warhead capabilities, placing the world in North Korea’s crosshairs, but security analysts remain skeptical on how far the Kim regime has come.

Amid rising tensions on the Korean peninsula, North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un ordered a fresh spate of nuclear tests, the country’s state media said Friday. The tests come days after South Korean and US forces began large-scale joint exercises simulating a full invasion of the country, which Pyongyang swiftly denounced.

Since the US-South Korean drills began Monday, Pyongyang has escalated its rhetoric, issuing daily warnings of a nuclear strike that would turn Seoul and Washington into "flames and ashes."

Webmaster's Commentary:

For North Korea, the problem with their missiles historically has been being able to target, accurately.

Unless some rogue nation (perhaps Israel?!? After all, they were ready to sell nuclear technology to the apartheid South African, for heaven's sake!) gives them the technology to fix this, I seriously doubt that the North Korean military can actually hit any target in the US with any degree of accuracy.

And a word to Kim Jung-Un; the joint US/South Korean exercises, which include a mock invasion of North Korea, are engineered to get you rattled, and the US government is hoping that you will do something phenomenally stupid, as the "excuse" to start a war against North Korea.

So just please don't that, OK?!?!?

The REAL Ted Cruz EXPOSED – What You DON’T KNOW ABOUT TED!
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), thanks to the failure of fellow Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), is now the establishment’s top choice for President.
Despite Cruz’s conservative rhetoric and willingness to cause problems in the U.S. Senate… this switch was surprisingly easy. What happened?
As perhaps the most infamous Republican insider Roger Stone reports, Cruz is really a Bush… just with a different last name:

The Bush-Cruz connection is clear. Ted was George W.’s brain when he ran for president. A top policy adviser, Ted maneuvered for Solicitor General in Bush World but settled for a plum at the Federal Trade Commission. Ted’s a Bush man with deep ties to the political and financial establishment. Ted and wife Heidi brag about being the first “Bush marriage” – they met as Bush staffers. Cruz was an adviser on legal affairs while Heidi was an adviser on economic policy and eventually director for the Western Hemisphere on the National Security Council under Condoleezza Rice.>>>

Consider the Iraq War and its aftermath, surely one of the central geopolitical developments of the last few decades. In the mid-2000s, my old friend Bill Odom, the three-star general who ran the NSA for Ronald Reagan, accurately characterized the war as “the greatest strategic disaster in U.S. history.” Yet today that calamitous legacy and its five trillion dollar total cost is warmly embraced by many of the top Republican leaders and publicly criticized by almost none of them.

US-South Korean Militaries Rehearse Pre-emptive Nuclear Strikes on North Korea

Massive joint US-South Korean military exercises began yesterday under conditions of high tension on the Korean Peninsula following North Korea’s fourth nuclear test in January and rocket launch last month. In 2011, the State Department cleared an enormous arms deal: Led by Boeing, a consortium of American defense contractors would deliver $29 billion worth of advanced fighter jets to Saudi Arabia, despite concerns over the kingdom's troublesome human rights record. In the years before Hillary Clinton became secretary of state, Saudi Arabia had contributed $10 million to the Clinton Foundation, and just two months before the jet deal was finalized, Boeing donated $900,000 to the Clinton Foundation, according to an International Business Times investigation released Tuesday.

WW3: Fighters From Turkey Are Pouring Into Syria And Attacking Targets Despite The Ceasefire

The ceasefire in Syria is a joke. Turkish military units continue to mass along the border, and militants are pouring across the border to attack targets in northern Syria. The Prime Minister of Turkey is now openly admitting that his government is supporting the militants that are trying to overthrow the Syrian government, and the Turkish government has also made it abundantly clear that they have no plans to stop shelling the Kurds on the other side of the border. So despite the “ceasefire”, the truth is that the threat of World War 3 breaking out in the Middle East is greater than ever.

Last week, peace activists Brian Terrell and Kathy Kelly were arrested as they attempted to deliver a load of bread and a letter to drone operators working at Volk Field, an air base where drones are launched. On behalf of a group called Creative Nonviolence, Terrell and Kelly were hoping to deliver their peace offering to a few drone operators and hopefully have a conversation.

However, they were quickly arrested for trespassing on the airbase.

Sometimes, I absolutely despair of this country, and the trajectory of its future, over time.

U.S. Test Fires Nuclear ICBM, Warns "We Are Prepared To Use Nuclear Weapons"

What was more disturbing than the actual launch, however, was the rhetoric behind it: instead of passing it off as another routine test, and letting US "adversaries" make up their own mind about what is going on, Deputy Defense Secretary Robert Work, who witnessed the launch, said the U.S. tests, conducted at least 15 times since January 2011, send a message to strategic rivals like Russia, China and North Korea that Washington has an effective nuclear arsenal. "That’s exactly why we do this," Work told reporters before the launch.

Of course, the #1 unspoken rule when launching ICBMs is to never explicitly say why you are doing it. By breaking said rule, it marks a much greater escalation in international diplomacy than merely test firing the nuclear-capable ballistic missile.

That, however, was not an issue and Work piled on, with the following stunner

CAMERON BRAGS OF ‘BRILLIANT’ UK ARMS TRADE AS EU EMBARGOES SAUDI

European ministers have embarrassed David Cameron by voting to impose an arms embargo on Saudi Arabia on the same day the British prime minister praised the UK for selling “brilliant” arms to the country.

Speaking at a BAE Systems factory in Preston, the prime minister said the UK had pushed the sale of Eurofighter Typhoons to countries in the Middle East, including Oman and Saudi Arabia.

His comments come as a report by Amnesty International reveals that EU and US arms trading provided Saudi Arabia with arms worth billions of dollars in 2015. The Saudis are engaged in a military offensive against Houthi rebels in Yemen. The latest figures from Action on Armed Violence (AOAV) suggest some 6,400 civilians have been killed or injured in the conflict.

Cameron’s speech in Preston came at the same time the European Parliament voted to impose an EU-wide ban on arms exports to Saudi Arabia, citing criticism from the UN of its bombing in Yemen.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Bravo to the EU, and shame on David Cameron, and the British government, for having allowed these arms sales to Saudi Arabia, a country with a human rights record JUST to the right of that of Attila the Hun.

And what has Saudi Arabia done with these weapons?!? Enabled by the US government in a proxy war against Yemen, to reinstate the US puppet Al-Hadi, the Saudi Arabian military has slaughtered thousands of innocents, and their targets have included schools, hospitals, ambulances, and private residences.

Mr. Cameron, in this slaughter committed by the Saudi military, the British government has been complicit in war crimes, and crimes against humanity.

But hey, to the weapons manufactures in the UK, it's "money uber alles", right?!?

So at the end of the day, no one in the military industrial complex ever loses sleep about the bloody and immoral crimes against innocent civilians those weapons, in the hands of people who have had their consciences collectively, surgically removed, might perpetrate.

I mean, civilian non-coms, including children, women, and the medically fragile elderly getting blown to smithereens, are just collateral damage, right?!? No big deal.

And THIS, from the country which gave the world the Magna Carta?!?

You, David Cameron, and the British government, should collectively be hanging your heads in shame right now.

But you have no shame, do you, sir?!?

And no matter the torrent of brutal images of the carnage this war has created you see, day after day, through private intel dispatches, you have no utterly no moral qualms whatsoever about any degree of personal, or governmental, responsibility you hold for having been complicit in causing it to happen.

Because it's all about the money, right?!?!?

Military action against North Korea possible: Top US cmdr.

The United States does not rule out a possible military action against North Korea, if Pyongyang continues to develop its nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs, says a top US military commander.

On January 6, North Korea said it had successfully detonated a hydrogen bomb, a move that outraged Washington and prompted Congress to hit back with more sanctions against the country.

The standoff between Washington and Pyongyang further escalated on February 7, after North Korea successfully launched a long-range missile allegedly carrying an earth observation satellite.

The missile was thought to have a range of over 10,000 kilometers, enough to reach the US mainland.

Speaking before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday, Admiral Harry Harris, commander of US Pacific Command, said North Korea’s nuclear test was a global threat and a US military action is possible if such moves continue.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The one thing the US government refuses to do is to get all parties, including North, and South Korea, China, and the US, seated at a negotiation table to devise a workable peace treaty with which to supplant the armistice, which is simply a cessation of hostile military activity.

The restraints against nuclear, and other, weapons developments must be spelled out very clearly in that treaty.

But unfortunately, the only way North Korea has been able to get the US government's attention has been through its weapons development.

Someone in the US government should have the courage and honesty to start to make this happen; otherwise, the tensions in the region may well escalate to a full-bore war with China, which is just as pledged to assist its client state, North Korea, as is the US government to its client state, South Korea.

Turkey's Ankara False Flag Blaming Syrian Kurds Clears Pathway to Turkish-Saudi Gulf State Invasion of Syria and WWIII

February 22, 2016

Turkey’s been blasting away all month long shelling heavy artillery mortars from its side along the Turkish border killing Syrian National Army soldiers, Syrian Kurd forces (YPG), at least, one Russian advisor and defenseless civilians in border villages inside Syria. Widespread reportage of the ongoing daily Turkish artillery barrage into Syria was publicly confirmed by the Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu since February 13th. Though a NATO member, longtime close US ally and next to Empire and Israel among the world’s leading partners-in-crime for state-sponsored terrorism, earlier this week Turkey was asked by Washington to cease its border aggression. Yet Turkish President Recep Erdogan has elected to defy his US master and continues his daily bombardment of northern Syrian villages and Syrian militarily controlled outposts abandoned recently by decimated escaping Islamic State terrorists.

Europe is following Obama – washing its hands of Palestine and why

The conclusion I draw from everything I have learned from nearly half a century of engagement in various capacities with the conflict in and over Palestine that became Israel is that there are two main reasons for the refusal of the major Western powers to confront Zionism in order to provide the Palestinians with an acceptable amount of justice..

One is the influence (declining a little but still awesome) that the Zionist lobby in all of its manifestations has in the corridors of power together with unlimited funds to buy politicians.

The other is fear that if pushed further than they were prepared to go, Israel’s leaders would press a nuclear button or two and more if needed.

This fear is no doubt reinforced in the minds of those Western leaders who are aware of what Prime Minister Golda Meir once said to me in an interview for the BBC’s Panorama programme. As readers of my book and one or two of my blog posts over the years know, she said that in a doomsday situation “Israel would be prepared to take the region and the whole world down with it.”

Experts: Invasion of Syria Could Lead to Nuclear War

The Threat of Nuclear War Is Now HIGHER Than During the Soviet Era

Turkey previously shot down a Russian jet.

Now, Turkey and Saudi Arabia are threatening to invade Syria.

How dangerous could this get, in a worst case scenario?

A source close to Russian President Vladimir Putin told me that the Russians have warned Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that Moscow is prepared to use tactical nuclear weapons if necessary to save their troops in the face of a Turkish-Saudi onslaught. Since Turkey is a member of NATO, any such conflict could quickly escalate into a full-scale nuclear confrontation.

Wrong on Iraq? Not Everyone

***
In September 2002, Scott Ritter stepped in the path of the White House’s PR blitz, challenging the administration and quickly becoming one of very few prominent critics of the looming war. In a Chicago Tribune op-ed (9/10/02), Ritter exposed a deception on the part of Vice President Dick Cheney that should have sent reporters scurrying to catch up. Cheney claimed in an August 2002 speech (8/26/02) that the Iraqi regime had been “very busy enhancing its capabilities in the field of chemical and biological agents,” and continued “to pursue the nuclear program they began so many years ago.” To back this up, Cheney added, “We’ve gotten this from the firsthand testimony of defectors, including Saddam’s own son-in-law”—a reference to Lt. Ritter pointed out that Cheney was omitting an inconvenient part of Kamel’s story:
Throughout his interview with UNSCOM, a UN special commission, Hussein Kamal reiterated his main point—that nothing was left. “All chemical weapons were destroyed,” he said. “I ordered destruction of all chemical weapons. All weapons—biological, chemical, missile, nuclear—were destroyed.

The F-35’s Terrifying Bug List

The Pentagon’s top testing official has weighed and measured the F-35 and found it wanting. Technology
The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter programs the most expensive military program in the world, is even more broken than previously thought. The jet can’t tell old parts from new ones, randomly prevents user logins into the logistics information system, and trying to eject out of it will likely result in serious neck injury and maybe death. A Pentagon office is warning that the plane is being rushed into service.

The Pentagon’s office of testing and evaluation on Monday released a report detailing major problems, or “deficiencies” with the aircraft. The report follows the release of a December memo by Michael Gilmore, the Department of Defense’s director for Operational Test and Evaluation, or OT&E. The report goes on to question the logic of pushing other governments to purchase large blocks of the aircraft until the issues are fixed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Our military is absolutely doomed, if they have to go into battle (particularly against the Russians or Chinese) with crud like this, (pardon my French).

I hate and loathe war, because in my world, there is always a way to resolve geopolitical differences other than a military conflict scenario; but if war is going to happen, I want our men and women in uniform to have the absolutely best equipment possible.

In every contract for every piece of aircraft and weaponry the US military buys, including items manufactured by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics (which manufactures this POC), there should be a clause which stipulates that not having whatever they are selling completely operational, delivered on time and within budget as a crime punishable by the fullest extent of the law, and that the chief executives who do not do that and are found guilty by a jury of their peers, serve hard jail time.

This, I think, would "cure the problem", and I frankly think every man and women in uniform for the United States deserves this.

Unfortunately, you have the "when pigs fly" factor here, because politicians get rewarded handsomely for supporting various elements n the military/industrial complex by awarding contracts to them.

Cheney Calls Trump a 'Liberal Democrat' After Bush 9/11 Claims

Former Vice President Dick Cheney wants Donald Trump to get his facts straight. Cheney, who served under President George W. Bush from 2001-2009, sounded off on Trump for claiming that Bush failed to keep Americans safe in the wake of the September 11 terror attacks at Saturday’s GOP debate in South Carolina. Trump then held two press conferences on the campaign trail this weekend in case the press didn’t hear him the first time.

(*When Jeb called the family into his campaign , I didn't realize he meant the WHOLE family .
Cheney's screwing with us . '
claiming that Bush failed to keep Americans safe in the wake of the September 11 terror attacks' I don't recall that coming from Trump . I just remeber him saying 9/11 happened on Bush' watch . And if memory is serving me well , I seem to recall George W Bush & Richard Dick Cheney sitting in the highest executive chairs in the nation , on that day .)

Turkey Is About to Find Out That 'No' Means 'No'

Despite a whirlwind of statements from several Arab nations, NATO and the UN, Russia has only said two things:

1) If ground troops from any nation enter Syria without Damascus' permission, it will be a declaration of war." AND;

2) The Americans - the American President and our Arab partners - have to ask themselves if they want permanent war."

Other than those two public statements, Russia has been very quiet. The fact that the Russians have said nothing is a very revealing thing: There is no more left to say.

The time for talking is over.

Actions will determine the future.

Trump’s crafty move on Iraq: His war comments allow conservatives to move past the Bush years while saving face

Trump's Iraq comments were initially surprising, but they give conservatives a way to put Bush years behind them
***
Trump accused the former president of lying about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and called the war “a big, fat mistake.” Trump also sneered at Jeb Bush that the “World Trade Center came down during your brother’s reign.” These comments range from demonstrably true (the 9/11 comment) to arguable (there’s no proof that Bush knowingly lied, but his administration did heavily massage the evidence to get their preexisting desire to start a war in Iraq). Perhaps unaccustomed to hearing reality-based rhetoric during their debates, the Republican audience booed Trump loudly for this.

Pardon me while I sit back and enjoy the panic of the Republican – and media – elites as the GOP frontrunner takes up that old left-wing antiwar slogan: “Bush lied – people died!” That’s the essence of what Donald Trump said at Saturday’s South Carolina GOP presidential debate when moderator John Dickerson – who smirked his way through the entire debate – asked Trump if he still thought George W. US SHRUGS OFF YET ANOTHER REPORT OF CLUSTER BOMBS LAUNCHED BY SAUDIS IN YEMEN

Following a new report from Human Rights Watch on the use of banned cluster bombs by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen, the United States State Department has once again given a statement so the government may appear as if it is concerned. But there have been consistent cluster bomb reports since the U.S.-backed intervention was launched in March 2015, and each time business as usual has resumed with no regard for the civilians killed by these explosives.

On December 29, 2015, State Department deputy spokesperson Mark Toner said, “I don’t have anything here that conclusively points to or conclusively speaks to the use of cluster munitions. We have expressed these concerns, though, about their use in the past.”

A reporter pressed Kirby on September 9, 2015, on how cluster bombs were different than barrel bombs, because the U.S. government condemned the Syrian government for using barrel bombs that killed civilians.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Cluster bombs, when they fall, and do not detonate, look very much like toys of some kind.

For curious children and toddlers, these cluster bombs do a tremendous job of tearing them apart, limb from limb, when they do detonate.

And of course, selling these weapons to a government with a human rights record just to the right of Attila the Hun, means you know precisely how they are going to be used, which is precisely what the US government has done here.

And when it comes to money for the US weapons manufacturers, like Textron, the US government has utterly no shame whatsoever;
and of course, the cluster bomb manufacturers, I am quite sure, contribute heavily, both overtly and covertly, to both sides of the aisle, to make sure that the production, and sale, of these weapons continues, unabated.

It Makes Perfect Sense that Donald Trump Is a 9/11 Truther

NATIONAL REVIEW: In South Carolina on Saturday night, Donald Trump turned into an Alex Jones Show caller. “They lied!” said Trump, talking about the George W. Bush administration. “They said there were weapons of mass destruction, there were none [false]. And they knew there were none.” Moments later, as Jeb Bush defended his brother’s administration, Trump shouted: “The World Trade Center came down during your brother’s reign!” And, again: “The World Trade Center came down during the reign of George Bush. He kept us safe? That is not safe.”

“A Special Place in Hell”… For Hillary Clinton and Madeleine Albright?

As UN Ambassador and the Secretary of State in the Bill Clinton regime, Albright was a fanatical advocate of the genocidal sanctions blockade that killed more than a million women, children and men in Iraq, and of the 1999 U.S./NATO bombing war against Yugoslavia.

On May 12, 1996, nearly six years into the U.S./UN sanctions, Albright was interviewed on CBS “60 Minutes” by Lesley Stahl, who had just returned from Iraq, about the impact on the Iraqi population:

Lesley Stahl: “We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that’s more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?”

U.S. Ambassador to the UN Madeleine Albright: “I think this is a very hard choice, but the price–we think the price is worth it.”

A GOLDEN AGE FOR PENTAGON WASTE

As we have often noted one of the giant logs stuck in the eye of many conservatives, people who typically argue for smaller government, is that they often defend military spending with little reservation. Defense, we are told is enumerated in the Constitution and as such is a legitimate expenditure. And yes, defense, is enumerated in the Constitution. Massive unchecked spending, undeclared wars, and bases around the world are not however enumerated in the Constitution.

(From US News)

Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, has called for a full audit of the unit responsible for the most egregious Afghan cases. And on Jan. 20th, the Senate Armed Services Readiness Subcommittee held hearings on the subject. The Pentagon’s witness, Principal Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Brian McKeon, was decidedly on the defensive as senators from both parties peppered him with questions about his department’s poor record keeping and lack of accountability.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This waste and corruption is going to bite the US military in a very sensitive spot, if allowed to continue to go unchecked.

With Russian and Chinese weapons makers, when items are field deployed, they are delivered on time, reasonably within budget, and work as advertised, if not better.

With American weapons makers, there is a nearly incestuous relationship between Congress (whose members are supported, covertly and overtly, by the large weapons makers) and those companies which get the defense contracts.

The outcome of all this is that when US weaponry is delivered, it is very late, has generally had huge cost over-runs, and doesn't perform anywhere near what is specified, once it is field deployed.

IF the US gets into a major war with Russia, and/or or China, the brokenness of our weapons systems is not going to help matters one bit.

Lugar Bio Laboratory in Tbilisi Latest: It’s Getting Worse by the Day

Today people are getting sick with Swine Flu and Zika all over the world, with Ebola hanging back while we await the next outbreak. Diseases occur naturally, but since World War II governments have spent billions weaponising different viruses to be used alongside the usual crop of diseases, the old bacterial standbys like anthrax or smallpox and train loads of poison gas.

A bio-chemical warfare “medical research” facility, like the one in Tbilisi, is almost exactly the same as a fully-fledged bio-chemical warfare production facility. All that would be required is to use one portion of a research facility for this purpose, maybe a few secret labs and underground or outbuilding production facilities which are easy to hide. How you tell one from the other is by examining the plans, the security protocols and the budget. You then look at the management of the facility, its history and examine what diseases it “researches.”

SPIES IN THE SKY

AMERICAN AND BRITISH INTELLIGENCE secretly tapped into live video feeds from Israeli drones and fighter jets, monitoring military operations in Gaza, watching for a potential strike against Iran, and keeping tabs on the drone technology Israel exports around the world.

Under a classified program code-named “Anarchist,” the U.K.’s Government Communications Headquarters, or GCHQ, working with the National Security Agency, systematically targeted Israeli drones from a mountaintop on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. GCHQ files provided by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden include a series of “Anarchist snapshots” — thumbnail images from videos recorded by drone cameras. The files also show location data mapping the flight paths of the aircraft. In essence, U.S. and British agencies stole a bird’s-eye view from the drones.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The troubling questions are, where, precisely, is the Israeli government looking at using these armed drones, and to whom are they selling this technology?!?

They have a history - and track record - of selling to anyone who has the money to buy; North Korea, perhaps?!?

Staff at Paris Airport Angry after Finding Fake Bombs ordered by US Embassy

A security exercise gone wrong saw tempers flare in a Paris airport, after fake explosive devices were discovered by FedEx workers in a ripped package, sources told AFP.

Employees of the American courier service at Charles de Gaulle airport were shocked to find a pressure cooker filled with nuts and bolts inside a package in transit from the US to Tunisia.

On further inspection they discovered a container of other similar devices, along with what appeared to be detonators, said Frederic Petit, who represents the company’s employees for the CGT union.

The staff alerted authorities of “imminent danger,” and officials arrived to test the device using sniffer dogs and X-ray machines.

A security source at the airport said the devices were actually decoys bound for the US embassy in Tunisia that were being used for a training exercise.

Israel supplies South Sudan government with wiretapping equipment

Israel sold wiretapping equipment to South Sudan even after the civil war broke out, and this equipment was used to identify and arrest opponents of the government, a UN report has charged.

It concluded that both sides in the country’s civil war are managing to buy arms and other military equipment despite the sanctions.

Rearming for the apocalypse

Obama’s proposed “modernization” increases our vulnerability, not our security. The first and most obvious reason is that it will certainly lead other countries to seek equivalent arsenals of their own. It is especially upsetting to Russia, which already feels under increasing American threat as a result of our military maneuvers on its borders and the fact that many of our missiles are positioned in Germany, Turkey, and other countries near its territory. The Russian defense minister recently announced that in response to Obama’s plan, Russia will “bring five new strategic nuclear missile regiments into service.” China would surely match that escalation. If it does so, India will follow. Then Pakistan will jump into the race. It is a recipe for disaster.

After examining 14 million records, including data on campaign contributions, lobbying expenditures, federal budget allocations and spending, we found that, on average, for every dollar spent on influencing politics, the nation’s most politically active corporations received $760 from the government. The $4.4 trillion total represents two-thirds of the $6.5 trillion that individual taxpayers paid into the federal treasury.

MONSANTO SUPPLIED CHEMICAL WEAPONS TO ISRAEL; GUILTY OF WAR CRIMES

Monsanto’s history in the food and pesticide business has become well documented. The Big Agricultural giant has found themselves in many a headline from the production of synthetic marijuana patents to Indian farmers committing mass suicide, to the run of the mill lawsuit over cross pollination of crops. In short, Monsanto is on every turn in the agricultural world; yet in another terrifying turn they’ve now been linked to the use of White Phosphorus on Palestinians in Gaza 2008 and 2009.

Israel vs Iran: Israel Loses, *Big* Time

First, there has never been any real evidence of an Iranian military nuclear program, but even more important is the fact that Iran never had any need for nuclear weapons. A lot of anti-Iranian propaganda is directly predicated on the notion that having nuclear weapons is highly desirable, yields some big advantage, and that all nations would want to acquire them. This is utter nonsense. In reality, possessing a few nuclear devices would only turn these devices into high priority targets for destruction by the USA and/or Israel. And even if, by some miracle, the Iranians managed to hide these devices while deploying them on missiles or aircraft, using any one such device would guarantee a massive retaliation from the Empire. What is the point of having a few nukes when Israel has hundreds?

Israel and the South African Nuclear Bomb Documents

Secret South African documents reveal that Israel offered to sell nuclear warheads to the apartheid regime, providing the first official documentary evidence of the state's possession of nuclear weapons. The "top secret" minutes of meetings between senior officials from the two countries in 1975 show that South Africa's defence minister, PW Botha, asked for the warheads and Shimon Peres, then Israel's defence minister and now its president, responded by offering them "in three sizes". The two men also signed a broad-ranging agreement governing military ties between the two countries that included a clause declaring that "the very existence of this agreement" was to remain secret.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Now that a deal has been reached with Iran over its non-existent nuclear weapons, and the sanctions lifted, it is time to remember that only one nation in the Middle East actually has nuclear weapons, and that is Israel, which has so many nuclear warheads that, as these documents show, they tried to sell one to the former government of South Africa.

Left unanswered; who ELSE did Israel sell nuclear weapons to!

IAEA Director General’s Statement on Iran

Today, I released a report confirming that Iran has completed the necessary preparatory steps to start the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. The report was submitted to the IAEA Board of Governors and to the United Nations Security Council.

It was issued after Agency inspectors on the ground verified that Iran has carried out all measures required under the JCPOA to enable Implementation Day to occur.

This paves the way for the IAEA to begin verifying and monitoring Iran’s nuclear-related commitments under the agreement, as requested by the U.N. Security Council and authorised by the IAEA Board.

Closing the 'Collapse Gap': The USSR Was Better Prepared for Collapse than the US

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. I am not an expert or a scholar or an activist. I am more of an eye-witness. I watched the Soviet Union collapse, and I have tried to put my observations into a concise message. I will leave it up to you to decide just how urgent a message it is.

My talk tonight is about the lack of collapse-preparedness here in the United States. I will compare it with the situation in the Soviet Union, prior to its collapse. The rhetorical device I am going to use is the "Collapse Gap" – to go along with the Nuclear Gap, and the Space Gap, and various other superpower gaps that were fashionable during the Cold War.

Broken Promises On Display At Native American Treaties Exhibit

For centuries, treaties have defined the relationship between many Native American nations and the U.S. More than 370 ratified treaties have helped the U.S. expand its territory and led to many broken promises made to American Indians.

A rare exhibit of such treaties at the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C., looks back at this history. It currently features one of the first compacts between the U.S. and Native American nations – the Treaty of Canandaigua.

Broken Treaties 101

The United States has a long history in which it abused its relative power over other populations. Its relations with Native Americans were no different in this regard. The United States frequently signed and committed itself to treaties with Native Americans that they repeatedly broke, a practice that has been present in American policy since its inception.

Native Americans without Treaties

One of the largest groups of Native Americans without a treaty of recognition with the US are the Native Hawaiians—the native people that inhabited the State of Hawaii. Though it is undisputed that the Native Hawaiians are a native people—people that are indigenous to the land they now live on that were there before any contact with the US or European explorers—the Hawaiians are not what lawyers call a recognized tribe.

The Biggest Threat

The headlines are filled with the latest alleged threat posed by ISIS – a band of savages thousands of miles away that, at most, has the capacity to inspire the crazies in our midst to acts of relatively smalltime violence.

Relative, that is, to the real threat of violence, which emanates from our own “defense” policies as formulated in Washington, D.C. – the very real and growing threat of nuclear war.

In short, the world is rapidly becoming a much more dangerous place. And it’s not because of ISIS, or the “terrorist threat” – it’s due to our policy of global intervention, which requires a “forward stance” that includes rattling the nuclear saber.

Why do we have over 7,000 nukes in our arsenal – enough to destroy the world several times over? Why are the contracts for “modernization” speeding through the procedural hoops faster than anyone can keep track of them?

Webmaster's Commentary:

Ultimately, the cold, clear eye of historical perspective will judge President Obama as one of the most Machiavellian, sociopathic warmongers of the 21st century.

I am willing to bet the the Nobel Committee which awarded him the Nobel Peace Prize is collectively wringing their hands about how lousy a decision they made in awarding him what had previously been a rather significant global accolade.

Israel has today received the fifth submarine of German production, which has the most modern properties and can remain under water for up to a week.

At an official ceremony in the port city of Haifa, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the underwater fleet to Israel "to deter and frighten the enemies who seek to destroy us, as saying.

"They should know that Israel can hit strongly anyone who tries to harm us," he added.

The newest submarine was named Rahav by biblical sea monster, AFP reported.

No Danger of Nuclear War? The Pentagon’s Plan to Blow up the Planet

Publicly available military documents confirm that nuclear war is still on the drawing board of the Pentagon.

Compared to the 1950s, however, today’s nuclear weapons are far more advanced. The delivery system is more precise. In addition to China and Russia, Iran, Syria and North Korea are targets for a first strike pre-emptive nuclear attack.

Let us be under no illusions, the Pentagon’s plan to blow up the planet using advanced nuclear weapons is still on the books.

America’s aristocracy is determined to take over Russia. Ever since the end of the Soviet Union and of its communism, the Cold War has become replaced by an increasingly hot war in which the US and its allies are expanding NATO right up to Russia’s borders, and imposing against Russia what the US refused to accept being imposed upon itself during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis: nuclear checkmate!

Saudi nuclear weapons 'on order' from Pakistan

Saudi Arabia has invested in Pakistani nuclear weapons projects, and believes it could obtain atomic bombs at will, a variety of sources have told BBC Newsnight.
While the kingdom's quest has often been set in the context of countering Iran's atomic programme, it is now possible that the Saudis might be able to deploy such devices more quickly than the Islamic republic.

NORTH KOREA SAYS IT TESTED H-BOMB, THOUGH ADVANCE DOUBTED

Soon after the ground shook around its nuclear testing facility, North Korea trumpeted its first hydrogen bomb test - a powerful, self-proclaimed "H-bomb of justice" that would mark a major and unanticipated advance for its still-limited nuclear arsenal.

Pyongyang's announcement Wednesday was met with widespread skepticism, but whatever the North detonated in its fourth nuclear test, another round of tough international sanctions looms for the defiant, impoverished country.

LAST YEAR, PRESIDENT OBAMA WAS THE NUMBER ONE WEAPONS DEALER IN THE WORLD

Foreign arms sales by the United States jumped by almost $10 billion in 2014, about 35 percent, even as the global weapons market remained flat and competition among suppliers increased, a new congressional study has found. American weapons receipts rose to $36.2 billion in 2014 from $26.7 billion the year before, bolstered by multibillion-dollar agreements with Qatar, Saudi Arabia and South Korea. Those deals and others ensured that the United States remained the single largest provider of arms around the world last year, controlling just over 50 percent of the market.

Is North Korea LYING about successful hydrogen bomb test? Experts pour scorn on Kim Jong-un's claims, saying the explosion was nowhere near powerful enough

Nuclear experts have cast serious doubts on North Korea's claims that it had detonated a hydrogen bomb, saying the resulting seismic activity suggested a far smaller device.

The hermit nation crowed on state TV that it had carried out a 'perfect' H-bomb test this morning, an explosion that triggered a 5.1-magnitude earthquake.

But scientists and intelligence agencies were quick to dismiss the report, saying the size of the blast was too small to have come from such a weapon and was likely disguised to appear like one.

As opposed to the atomic bomb, like the one dropped on Hiroshima in 1945, a hydrogen device can be up to 1,000 times more powerful.

However, South Korea's spy agency said the blast from North Korea's device produced an explosive yield of just six kilotons, even smaller than Hiroshima's.

Clinton Foundation Donors Got Weapons Deals From Hillary Clinton’s State Department

Even by the standards of arms deals between the United States and Saudi Arabia, this one was enormous. A consortium of American defense contractors led by Boeing would deliver $29 billion worth of advanced fighter jets to the United States’ oil-rich ally in the Middle East.

Israeli officials were agitated, reportedly complaining to the Obama administration that this substantial enhancement to Saudi air power risked disrupting the region’s fragile balance of power. The deal appeared to collide with the State Department’s documented concerns about the repressive policies of the Saudi royal family.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This "favors for money" thinking will only grow, during a Clinton Presidency.

And some of the US government's geopolitical "friends" will most likely an odd set of bedfellows, but ones who have paid the price to get deals favoring these countries, be approved.

Declassified: 1950s US Instructional Film on How to Carry Out Terrorism with Biological and Chemical Weapons Agents

A US government informational film from the 1950s, made for the armed forces, was just declassified. It provides instructions on how the US could carry out offensive terrorism using biological and chemical agents, which the US then did in numerous, major cases, including on its own population and soldiers, for terror, genocidal, and experimentation purposes, as well as other reasons covered by the film.

The film says the US "offensive biological and chemical warfare program" is designed to "reduce the enemy's production of food" and "incapacitate the enemy's armed forces and that portion of his human population that directly supports them." (This is directly taken from tactics honed during US genocides against Native peoples.) Thus, during WW2, for example, these rules would allow for bio/chem weapons to be used against much of the population of the US, since it was largely working to support the troops and war effort.

US Made ‘Cold War’ Plans Wipe Out Much of Planet’s Population

Given the US’s long history of wiping out huge numbers of people in the service of physical and hegemonic expansion, it may be unsurprising that the nation planned ‘a wholesale slaughter of much of the planet’s population’ during the Cold War, as newly declassified documents reveal.

Jason Ditz summarizes that the US goal was to first ‘prevent Soviet retaliation as much as possible’ then ‘eliminate the ability of the Soviets to fight,’ and finally expand ‘to places whose lone value was that a lot of people lived there.

…all-told there were some 1,200 cities to be targeted with nuclear strikes specifically to try to kill as many people as possible. Cities like Moscow and Leningrad, which also had military or government targets, were to be hit dozens of times.’

The basics of a staged bioterror event

There are future scenarios which, with enough exposure before they happen, can be stopped—or at least analyzed correctly when they occur.

A staged bioterror event is one of those.

The primary fact is: no matter what kind of germ you’re talking about or where it came from, releasing it intentionally does not guarantee predictable results. Far from it.
