Russia In The Cross Hairs. Washington’s Threats have moved Into the Realm of Insanity

Washington’s attack on Russia has moved beyond the boundary of the absurd into the realm of insanity.

The New Chief of the US Broadcasting Board of Governors, Andrew Lack, has declared the Russian news service, RT, which broadcasts in multiple languages, to be a terrorist organization equivalent to Boko Haram and the Islamic State, and Standard and Poor’s just downgraded Russia’s credit rating to junk status.

Evidence Grows Showing Wall Street as a Negative Economic Force

Clifton has a theory on why America’s crisis in creating new businesses is a well-kept secret. He writes:

“My hunch is that no one talks about the birth and death rates of American business because Wall Street and the White House, no matter which party occupies the latter, are two gigantic institutions of persuasion. The White House needs to keep you in the game because their political party needs your vote. Wall Street needs the stock market to boom, even if that boom is fueled by illusion.”

Unknown 'device' lands on White House grounds; no danger seen

The US Secret Service has recovered a "device" on the White House grounds, which according to reports was a small drone, but there was no immediate danger from the incident, the White House said.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters traveling with President Barack Obama in India on Monday that the Secret Service — the agency that protects Obama and his family, and secures the White House grounds — is investigating.

Earnest described the object as a "device" but said he did not know what it was.

Defiant Netanyahu to Obama: I will go anywhere to warn about nuclear Iran

Israel's Prime Minister on Sunday said openly and loudly that he will go anywhere in the world that he is invited to speak about the clear and present danger posed by Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons and the threat to Israel, the United States and European nations posed by radical Islam, according to the Middle Eastern news agencies. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a former officer with the Israeli special forces, while not mentioning names left the impression he was referring to his controversial upcoming visit to the United States.

Negative Interest: A ticking time bomb

Many Americans have been predicting this for well over a decade, but it appears the big axe is finally set to swing at America. Amidst a spate of global currency moves causing seismic shifts in global assets, military conflicts are fast enveloping the planet. An increasingly dysfunctional US government struggles over war with Iran, which incidentally just dumped the dollar, in a domestic environment that is steeped in racism, police brutality and irrational fear without end. Our water supply is being swiftly contaminated, all over the country, by fracking. And above all, corruption and lies are being exposed on the internet at breakneck speed, making it painfully obvious, to even the most political clueless, that something terribly wrong is about to happen.

The Death of Vincent Foster

This is the story that nobody dares touch. This is the story that ended my career in Hollywood back in 1994.

Despite having reported the discovery of Dr. Haut's signed report confirming the existence of a second wound to Vincent Foster's neck, radio host Rush Limbaugh to this very day refers to Vincent Foster's death as a suicide.

Even Matt Drudge, when presented with the FBI records proving that the FBI fraudulently manufactured Lisa Foster's recognition of the gun found at Fort Marcy Park, refused to get involved, opting instead for a story accusing Sidney Blumenthal of domestic violence (for which Drudge was then sued and made famous).

Webmaster's Commentary:

Everyone is focusing on Bill Clinton's wild parties with Jeff Epstein and speculating on how this might deter Hillary from running in 2016.

Quite the contrary, yet another sex scandal for Bill will actually HELP Hillary because she will win sympathy from the female voters by playing the wronged woman, and more importantly, focusing on Bill's sexcapades distracts from the real Hillary scandals that could end her career such as the cattle futures trades, Travel office firings, herself being fired from the Watergate committee, being photographed with a known cocaine smuggler in front of the White House Christmas Tree, and of course, the murder of Vince Foster!

Special Report: Notes on Another Clinton Scandal - Was Vince Foster Killed?

We encountered one of those while on a road trip through Arkansas – and stopping off in Hope. It is not only the famed birthplace of former president Bill Clinton, as well as former governor Mike Huckabee, it is also the hometown and burial ground of Vince Foster, a man who was childhood neighbors with Bill, partner at the Rose Law Firm with Hillary, and as deputy legal council for the White House, one of the closest keepers of the Clinton Administration’s most personal secrets.

Early into the first term, when the Clintons found themselves already embroiled in scandals including those surrounding the Travel Staff and Whitewater financial investigations, Vince Foster was found dead in Fort Darcy Park, officially ruled to be a suicide – but suggesting much more.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Vince Foster case was the reason I lost my career in Hollywood and was thrust into a career as a truth activist over twenty years ago.

David Stockman: Woodrow Wilson's War & Why The Entire 20th Century Was A Mistake

My humble thesis tonight is that the entire 20th Century was a giant mistake.

And that you can put the blame for this monumental error squarely on Thomas Woodrow Wilson——-a megalomaniacal madman who was the very worst President in American history……..well, except for the last two.

His unforgiveable error was to put the United States into the Great War for utterly no good reason of national interest. The European war posed not an iota of threat to the safety and security of the citizens of Lincoln NE, or Worcester MA or Sacramento CA. In that respect, Wilson’s putative defense of “freedom of the seas” and the rights of neutrals was an empty shibboleth; his call to make the world safe for democracy, a preposterous pipe dream.

Actually, his thinly veiled reason for plunging the US into the cauldron of the Great War was to obtain a seat at the peace conference table——so that he could remake the world in response to god’s calling.

"We murdered some folks" in Guantanamo

Murder at Camp Delta is a new book by Joseph Hickman, a former guard at Guantanamo. It's neither fiction nor speculation. When President Obama says "We tortured some folks," Hickman provides at least three cases -- in addition to many others we know about from secret sites around the world -- in which the statement needs to be modified to "We murdered some folks." Of course, murder is supposed to be acceptable in war (and in whatever you call what Obama does with drones) while torture is supposed to be, or used to be, a scandal. But what about tortures to death? What about deadly human experimentation? Does that have a Nazi enough ring to disturb anyone?

Netanyahu claims speech to US Congress is ‘anti-Iran strategy,’ not presidential snub

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended on Sunday a planned speech to the U.S. Congress about Iran, saying he had a moral obligation to take every opportunity to speak out on an issue that poses a mortal threat to his country.

His visit to Washington in March has opened up a political rift in the United States and has drawn accusations in Israel that Netanyahu is undermining a strategic alliance to win an election due two weeks after the trip.

LaRouche Warns: Wall Street's Growing Desperation Is Fueling Global Thermonuclear Showdown

Wall Street is on the edge of another financial tsunami, and this is driving the world towards general war, with the latest provocations in Ukraine serving as the immediate trigger for confrontation with Russia.

As Citibank was the latest of the Wall Street too-big-to-fail banks to post serious fourth-quarter losses, and as the Wall Street banks were announcing 50,000 layoffs, half-way around the globe the Ukrainian government was launching new provocations against Russia, meeting with top NATO generals and announcing a draft to call up 100,000 new troops to launch a military offensive against its own citizens in eastern Ukraine.

eBay Lays Off Thousands After Obama Touts Company in State of the Union Address

THE POLITICO reports that President Obama, during his State of the Union address on Tuesday, gave shout outs to a number of American companies in an effort to highlight the strength of the U.S. economy. Nearly all of those companies, it turns out, are big political spenders and have contributed heavily to Democrats.

One of those companies was eBay, which Obama cited as an example of how “millions of Americans [are working] in jobs that didn’t even exist 10 or 20 years ago.” That now seems like an unfortunate choice, because less than 24 hours after Obama’s speech, eBay announced it was cutting 2,400 jobs, or about 7 percent of its workforce. Investors welcomed the layoffs, and the company’s stock jumped more than 4 percent on the news.

Obama won’t meet Netanyahu during ‘bizarre,’ ‘historic,’ ‘unprecedented’ visit

White House and State Department won’t meet with Netanyahu on his March visit to address both houses of Congress. Emergency Committee for Israel calls this a snub.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I agree with Obama on this one. Netanyahu and Boehner are trying to hijack the AMERICAN Congress to serve Israel's agenda. Obama knows that war with Iran means war with Russia and while a degree of conflict is desired to forestall the rise of the Ruble, all-out war will cost millions of lives and there is the real possibility the US will lose.

Israel, like the bankers, doesn't care who wins or loses so long as their personal wealth and power are elevated in the process. Obama, in his final two years in office and no longer dependent on Israeli support for future elections, seems to be looking at the situation from the point of view of the US, and that is a good thing!

We’ve Let The Clowns Come Way Too Far

In Tuesday’s State of the Union, Obama said The ‘Shadow Of Crisis Has Passed’, and the one and the only thing I thought was: ‘Good, so now we can tackle the crisis itself?!’. If speeches like the SOTU Tuesday night, and the reactions to it, make anything clear, it’s that the PR guys won the fight against critical thinking. Sure, there are people for whom that shadow has passed, but a president is supposed to be there for all Americans, not just for those who finance his campaigns and those of his successors.

The Hidden Threat To Free Speech in Obama’s State of the Union Address

President Obama proposed new laws to protect Americans and “especially our kids” from hackers during his State of the Union address. Swaddled in that almost tender-sounding language, though, was a plan that would strengthen the government’s ability to go after journalists like Barrett Brown.

In fact, the new cybersecurity legislation would further criminalize the kind of activity for which Brown is due to be sentenced in Dallas federal court on Jan. 22. Judge Sam A. Lindsay will decide whether to let Brown, 33, off with time served for the more than two years he’s already spent behind bars, or imprison him for a maximum of eight-and-a-half years. Brown struck a deal to plead guilty to, among other charges, a Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) felony.

Obama Ensures His Status as War President

Ending the US occupation of Iraq in 2011, President Obama tried to portray himself as a peacemaker. He’s still trying to sell that narrative, even as he quickly escalates in his new Iraq war.

The State of the Union address nominally continued that story, but between talking up further escalation of the ISIS war, and commanders suggesting they could extend the Afghan occupation even further, President Obama’s status as a war-time president from start to finish seems secured.

Here's What Concerns Experts About Obama's State of the Union Cybersecurity Goals

Central to the problems with the recommended updates to the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) are vague terms that could easily be interpreted to prosecute innocents, no matter how weak their links to actual criminal activity. Anyone who "intentionally exceeds authorized access to a protected computer, and thereby obtains information from such computer" could be charged. That sounds acceptable on first inspection, but the definition of "exceeds authorized access" includes using a computer with proper authorization "to obtain or alter information" the relevant party is not entitled to look at, "or for a purpose that the accesser knows is not authorized by the computer owner".

Webmaster's Commentary:

The State of the Union 2015: Magical Pain-Free Prosperity For Everyone!

President Barack Obama’s 2015 State of the Union address was an important reminder that few professions in these United States of America are as profoundly immune to basic learning curves then that of politicians, speechwriters, and bureaucrats. It was a speech that bragged about the booming economy at a time when the labor-force participation rate is the worst it’s been since Jimmy Carter was president. It called for "everyone to get their fair shot," three years after this same president called for "everyone to get their fair shot." And it championed a series of "free" programs and initiatives that will magically create pain-free prosperity for everyone, without any tradeoffs.

Yay!

Obama SOTU: We've "Turned the Page"; But What We Need is a Whole New Book

Indeed, to the extent that any one speech matters, last night's SOTU most definitely did not sound the bell of something new and different when it comes to Barack Obama or American politics more generally. Far from it. It represents yet one more reiteration of the same-old, same-old, of a 20th century vision of top-down governance and rank partisanship that already controls and commands far too many aspects of our social, cultural, and economic activities. Like so many American presidents before him, Obama just knows in his bones there's no problem that more money and regulation can't make go away. At least until the next SOTU.

Nick Turse, A Shadow War in 150 Countries

From the point of view of the U.S. military and the national security state, the period from September 12, 2001, to late last night could be summed up in a single word: more. What Washington funded with your tax dollars was a bacchanalia of expansion intended, as is endlessly reiterated, to keep America “safe.” But here’s the odd thing: as the structure of what’s always called “security” is built out ever further into our world and our lives, that world only seems to become less secure. Odder yet, that “more” is rarely a focus of media coverage, though its reality is glaringly obvious. The details may get coverage but the larger reality -- the thing being created in Washington -- seems of remarkably little interest.

ARMS TO AL-QAEDA: U.S. Generals Admit Washington Has Backed Islamic Militants in Syria

If you believe all of the pre-packaged government and corporate media propaganda, then you might think that ISIS is just another evil, grassroots Salafist militant movement, one with no connections at all to foreign intelligence agencies like the CIA, Britain’s MI6, Turkish (NATO) intelligence, Saudi intelligence, Israeli intelligence, or Pakistan’s ISI.

That headline sounds crazy, right? It must be untrue, right? Well, read on, because you might be absolutely shocked by what you learn. As you will read about below, the Obama administration has used al-Qaeda fighters and other radical Islamic groups in the past to topple governments. And without a doubt, Barack Obama is absolutely determined to oust Syrian president Bashar al-Assad. In fact, he came dangerously close to taking us to war with Syria earlier in his presidency before backing down in the face of overwhelming public pressure. Did a Russian Parliamentarian Just Commit Treason?

An interesting thing happened in Washington recently, and it had nothing to do with Beltway politics, Democrats vs. Republicans, or any of the other standard fare for the middle of the week in mid-January. Rather, a relatively small, little publicized event took place at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a prominent liberal-leaning think tank in Washington.

The event, “Russia’s Opposition in a Time of War and Crisis,” featured prominent Russian liberal opposition parliamentarian (member of the Russian Duma) Ilya Ponomarev, a noted critic of Russian President Putin, providing a detailed presentation regarding the current political climate in Russia, and the potential for the ousting or overthrow of the Russian government. Yes, you heard that right. A Russian elected official came to the United States to give a talk about how best to effect regime change in his own country.

Who Will Stand With Venezuela?

Who in the world stands with a country when it is under the looming threat of a major U.S. government intervention? When Guatemala (1954), the Dominican Republic (1965), Chile (1973), and Haiti (2004) were in trouble, there was no one. Cuba was different; over the years, at different times, the Soviet Union, Latin American countries, and nations voting in the UN General Assembly all weighed in with support and solidarity. And Cuba’s socialist revolution survives.

Now the U. S. government targets Venezuela, its socialist government and national sovereignty. This time, however, the intended victim is not alone.

Low hopes for a 'game-changing' State of the Union

The central challenge of President Obama’s 2015 State of the Union address is convincing Americans the next 12 months will showcase a real turnaround for a second term defined by self-inflicted wounds, public disillusionment and calls to action that never materialized.

In October 2014, the UN General Assembly voted to recommend ending the US embargo on Cuba. Of the 193 UN members, 188 voted in favour. The only country siding with the US to continue the embargo was Israel. (The remaining three countries abstained.)

This is not the first time the UN has taken up the question. In fact, it is the 23rd time, having taken it up annually since 1992. On every occasion since 1992, the UN voted for the embargo to end. Israel remains the sole supporter to the US position.

Screenwriter mysteriously killed in 1997 after finishing script that revealed the 'real reason' for US invasion of Panama had been working for the CIA... and both his hands were missing

When the skeletal remains of Hollywood screenwriter Gary Devore were found strapped into his Ford Explorer submerged beneath the California Aqueduct in 1998 it brought an end to one of America's most high profile missing person cases.

The fact that Devore was on his way to deliver a film script that promised to explain the 'real reason' why the US invaded Panama, has long given rise to a slew of conspiracies surrounding the nature of his 'accidental' death.

Charlie Hebdo: False flag operation

The Charlie Hebdo affair has many of the characteristics of a false flag operation. The attack on the cartoonists' office was a disciplined professional attack of the kind associated with highly trained special forces; yet the suspects who were later corralled and killed seemed bumbling and unprofessional. It is like two different sets of people.

Usually Muslim terrorists are prepared to die in the attack; yet the two professionals who hit Charlie Hebdo were determined to escape and succeeded, an amazing feat. Their identity was allegedly established by the claim that they conveniently left for the authorities their ID in the getaway car. Such a mistake is inconsistent with the professionalism of the attack and reminds me of the undamaged passport found miraculously among the ruins of the two WTC towers that served to establish the identity of the alleged 9/11 hijackers.

Webmaster's Commentary:

In other words, Obama just bailed on the promise of net neutrality he used to get support for the new incarnation of CISPA.

Why America Keeps Losing Its Wars

In the aftermath of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, the president asked Congress for a Declaration of War, got it, and began to steel the nation for the sacrifices necessary for victory. In the aftermath of September 11, 2001, the president cowed Congress into ceding its war-making powers (in the form of an authorization for the use of military force), sent the military into indecisive action in Afghanistan, declared war on a country uninvolved in the 9/11 attacks (Iraq), and sent the American people to shop.

Well into its second decade, the undeclared and undefined “Global War on Terror” has yet to gain any measure of security for America’s profligate expenditure of lives and treasure.

The framers of the U.S. Constitution, establishing our country as a republic, wanted no part of a system that codified the executive as the decider of war and peace.

“Boots On The Ground”? Obama To Seek Authorization For Military Force Against ISIS

Having unveiled his non-boots-on-the-ground strategy in September, President Obama’s “promise” was quickly proved fragile when General Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, indicated to the House of Representatives armed services committee that the strength of ISIS relative to the Iraqi army may be such that he would recommend abandoning Obama’s oft-repeated pledge against returning US ground troops to combat in Iraq. It seems another promise is about to be broken as Bloomberg reports Senator John Cornyn said President Obama told congressional leaders during meeting today at White House he would seek authorization for military force on Islamic State. Boehner’s office, in separate statement after meeting, said Republicans would work with him to build support.

House votes to cancel Obama amnesties

Brushing aside Democrats’ warnings of permanent political doom, House Republicans voted Thursday to cancel President Obama’s deportation amnesties, casting it as an effort to undo a runaway White House untethered either to the Constitution or even to its own words and promises.

In a debate freighted with political, symbolic and constitutional significance, House Speaker John A. Boehner read the 22 times Mr. Obama had denied he had the kinds of executive powers he ended up claiming last year when he announced his new amnesty, which applies to millions of illegal immigrants, granting them tentative legal status and work permits so they can compete legally for jobs.

Obama targets oil and gas industry, demands massive reduction in methane emissions

Taking direct aim at the oil-and-gas industry, President Obama on Wednesday put forth long-awaited regulations on methane emissions, setting an ambitious goal of reducing those emissions by 45 percent over the next decade.

The move comes just days before the State of the Union address and underscores that, in the final two years of presidency, Mr. Obama is looking to cement his legacy on climate-change and environmental issues.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It's a laudable goal but Obama's timing sucks. Right now the entire oil industry is being hammered by this ill-conceived oil price war against Russia. The very last thing they need is a whole new raft of "Obamaoil" regulations that will escalate costs, all in the name of controlling climate change, which changes no matter what we humans do. Methane in the atmosphere does not persist. In the presence of oxygen it decomposes to water and carbon dioxide, the first being what we need to live and the latter being what plants need to live. This underscores an observation I have been making all along; that the quality of thinking in this administration is rather poor. Policy decisions are being made for political (and in this case historical) reasons but are not thought all the way through to find potential negative consequences!

IRS keeps Albuquerque Tea Party in limbo 5 years after tax-exempt status application

Before there were the lost Lerner emails, the congressional hearings and the retaliatory budget cuts, there was the Albuquerque Tea Party, a group of politically minded folks in New Mexico who wanted to get together and share ideas for taking back their country. The IRS had other ideas about them.

Five years after the Albuquerque Tea Party applied for tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(4) of the tax code, they remain in limbo — their application apparently no closer to being approved or denied than it was the day they mailed it to the IRS on Dec. 29, 2009.

These are the biggest hypocrites celebrating free speech today in Paris

France’s prime minister said the people would “cry out their love of liberty.” And they did—marchers in Paris chanted “liberté” in response to the murder of the cartoonists, who were well-known for their provocative cartoons lampooning everyone, regardless of taste or decency.

But as Daniel Wickham points out (as amplified by the journalist Glenn Greenwald), many of the 40 leaders attending the rally in Paris don’t have the best record of defending the principle of free speech so viciously attacked earlier this week:

Video: Jerusalem resident assaulted by Israeli-backed US “Muslim leaders”

A Jerusalem resident was physically assaulted and battered as he attempted to speak to participants in an Israeli-backed US “Muslim leaders” delegation at the al-Aqsa mosque on Monday evening.

Some of the incident was captured on video by the victim of the assault, a frequent contributor to The Electronic Intifada who goes by the pseudonym Zalameh.

Members of the delegation are taking part in the Muslim Leadership Initiative (MLI), a faithwashing junket sponsored by the Shalom Hartman Institute.

As The Electronic Intifada reported earlier this month, the Jerusalem-based Shalom Hartman Institute receives millions of dollars from extreme anti-Muslim donors and is a major contractor to the Israeli military.

Ditching the Dollar

One of the symptoms of a declining empire is that it becomes less and less productive and therefore less relevant to other countries. Any empire, whilst in its prime, will have a strong currency. As its productive relevance declines, so will its currency. Invariably, its leaders attempt to keep the currency strong, in spite of the decline in national relevance. Rather than return to a more productive condition, the empire almost invariably resorts to force.

The US has been unusually forceful in this regard. In order to retain the dollar as the currency upon which oil is denominated and paid for, the US has attacked countries (Iraq, Libya) when their leaders have announced that they will, in future, accept other currencies or gold as payment for oil.

According to analysts, it appears that the footage was recorded over two takes, evidenced by a placement marker that appears by the front left wheel of the vehicle as the gunmen return from apparently gunning down a wounded Gendarme.

The killing of the french policeman is also being called into question, due to the ‘lack of blood spatter consistent with that of a close range shooting’.

As shown in the freeze frame below, smoke is shown to emit from the weapon, with no impact or trauma appearing to register on the body of the victim. The decision of many news outlets to blur out the victim is being debated as evidence of complicity in what many are now calling a hoax.

The false debate between freedom of expression and religious extremism

After the deadly attack, many cartoonists reduced the event to a confrontation between an armed, bearded jihadist and a pen. A simple representation, yet it is both powerful and misleading.

After the 9/11 terrorist attacks, George W. Bush and many like-minded politicians and media outlets confined the attacks to a fight between evil (the "Islamic terrorists") and good (the United States and its allies), or between the free world (led by the United States) and oppression (led by Al-Qaeda and the Taliban).

When Bush famously proclaimed "you are either with us or you're with the terrorists," he truly believed that he had received a divine message to liberate Muslim countries from oppression. He consequently built all of his political and war strategies around this sort of "prophecy."

Late-stage Obama suddenly wants to get along

Unfortunately, no modern president has been as bad as Obama at working with the political opposition. Obama's preferred method of negotiating with congressional Republicans so far has been blunt-force trauma. For the first two years of his presidency, he excluded GOP lawmakers from all important policy-making. His electoral mandate permitted this, but it was short-sighted in terms of making alliances for when his party inevitably lost its iron grip.

For the four years following the Republican takeover of the House in 2010, Obama tried to govern alone and failed to rally popular support against the “obstructionists” lined up against him. So it's a bit rich to hear that now, only after having taken major executive actions that imposed controversial policy changes without the Congress, he is suddenly making noises that he wants to cooperate.

Lawmakers seek Saudi 9/11 smoking gun

Some members of Congress are ramping up their call for the public release of 28 classified pages from the government’s 9/11 report. The top-secret pages reportedly reveal Saudi funding of the terrorist attack.

On Wednesday, Reps. Walter B. Jones, R-N.C., and Stephen Lynch, D-Mass., will join former Democratic Sen. Bob Graham of Florida for a Capitol Hill press conference on House Resolution 428, demanding that President Obama declassify the 28 pages of the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 2001.

The 28 pages were initially classified by President George W. Bush and have remained under seal.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Saudi Arabia does not have a history of dirty tricks, nor a demonstrated ability to carry out such deceptions. More to the point, Saudi Arabia has no motive to attack the United States.
The Saudi princes have grown very rich indeed through the Petrodollar arrangement. Saudi Arabia buys many American products and weapons ($61 billion in 2011), and unlike Israel, the American taxpayer does not
have to give them the money first with which to buy those weapons. Whereas Israel constantly takes money out of the US, the Saudis pour it in! Private Saudi investment in the US economy is over $400 billion. Saudi Arabia is a major creditor to the US Government. Exact figures are hard to find but Saudi Arabia has loaned the US Government hundreds of billions of dollars.

Saudi Arabia is not going to risk an attack on the US because all that wealth would vanish. The Saudi wealth inside the US would be frozen or seized, and the outstanding loans to the US would never be repaid.
The "useful idiots" trying to save Israel by blaming 9-11 on Saudi Arabia have yet to come up with a motive for the Saudis to do something like 9-11 that risks losing all that cash.

Remember that Saudi Arabia was being framed for 9-11 right from the start. One of the accused hijackers, a Saudi Pilot named Saeed Al-Ghamdi, was
still alive after 9-11
and sued the US Government for defaming him.

And finally, here is some common sense that totally undermines the attempt to frame Saudi Arabia for 9-11. If Saudi Arabia really wanted to hurt the United States, they don't need to fly airplanes into skyscrapers to do it. All they have to do is ask for their money back, all at once. The resulting damage to the US financial system would make 9-11 look like a minor inconvenience in comparison.

And it would be perfectly legal for Saudi Arabia to ask for their money back.

Latest Foster Cover-Up Book Not Completely Worthless

Purported journalist Marinka Peschmann is not exactly an experienced researcher on the 51dOgw0PmzLsubject and it shows in her thin little 2012 volume, Following Orders: The Death of Vince Foster, Clinton White House Lawyer. One would think that this 5×8 inch paperback with only 132 pages of actual text would at least be spare with any unnecessary verbiage, but in fact the opposite is the case. ‘US pursuing political agenda, not justice, sanctioning N.Korea over Sony hack’

There is no hard evidence for the United States’ claims that the North Korea was behind the hack on Sony. In fact, the evidence seems to point in a very different direction. Reports in US and global media say experts taking part in the investigation essentially rule out North Korea’s participation. They say the evidence simply isn’t there to point that finger.

Moreover, those very same experts point out that due to the complexity of the cyberattack it is not quite possible to determine who was behind it in mere 48 or 72 hours as was the case with the US government. Rather than seeing the evidence and drawing conclusions from that, it seems that Washington is pursuing a political agenda and using this issue to further that agenda.

Millions of Obamacare subsidy recipients may need to pay back-taxes.

The problem for Democrats is not exactly this: “As many as 3.4 million people who received Obamacare subsidies may owe refunds to the federal government, according to an estimate by a tax preparation firm… H&R Block is estimating that as many as half of the 6.8 million people who received insurance premium subsidies under the Affordable Care Act benefited from subsidies that were too large, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.” Although it’s definitely going to be a problem: ‘several million people suddenly discovering that they now owe back taxes to the government over Obamacare’ is not exactly a good scenario, especially if you belong to the political party that set that scenario up in the first place.

Now Legal, Declassified Documents Reveal How CIA “Develop” Covert Propaganda “Themes to Push ‘Hot Buttons’ of Americans”

We are continually lied to and deceived by the mass media and our government institutions. Professionally-crafted propaganda techniques to frame the story and, in many cases, to advance totally fabricated events, have been used to goad on the population and gain support for the State, even at the expense of what is best for the people.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US government does not have a legal right to lie to its people.

And if you want a recent example of this, just take a look at Obama's declared intention to punish North Korea with sanctions about the Sony data breach, which North Korea did not do.

But North Korea was making overtures to South Korea about meeting, at a very high level, to replace the armistice, well over 60 years old this year, with a real peace treaty; and of course, Obama couldn't stand to see that happen, because it would ruin his chances of starting his war against North Korea as a back door to a war with China, because both China's currency and military are on the ascendent.

PRINCE ANDREW & JEFFREY EPSTEIN: Can the Palace really make the denial stick?

Prince Andrew’s flat and emphatic denial of any complicity in abuse of a minor in 2001 suggests just how seriously Buckingham Palace is taking the resurfacing allegations about his sex life.

I first posted on this affair just over two years ago. The circumstantial and affidavit evidence now available in a new Court case accusing Jeffrey Epstein of pimping minors for the sexual gratification of himself and others is nothing more than consistent with the charges that sent him to jail four years ago. What remains a mystery wrapped up in socialite privilege is how Epstein managed to spend just 13 months in the poky, when trafficking charges such as those usually carry 10-20 year sentence guidance in US Courts.

NATO aims new advanced nuclear strike force at Russia China

Under the public radar , NATO is modernising its tactical nuclear arsenal. Moscow's latest tests of intercontinental missiles and its parading of nuclear capable strategic bombers have rightly prompted international concern. In December 2014, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov implied that Russia might be moving nuclear weapons to Crimea. From violations of airspace to near mid- air collisions, the number of incidents between Russia and NATO has soared dramatically, increasing the danger of an unintended escalation. Yet, it is rarely mentioned that NATO, too, is back in the game of nuclear deterrence.

Firecracker sales high for New Year's celebrations

Webmaster's Commentary:

Personal fireworks are illegal in Hawaii, except for firecrackers for which you must buy a license from the local government (which costs more than the firecrackers). But while Hawaiians' ardor for the Fourth of July has cooled in recent years, this New Year's was the greatest display of illegal fireworks since 2000!

The smugglers brought in a huge amount of the banned fireworks, and the show got underway right after sunset, peaked at 11:30 and continued unabated until 1:00 AM, then started to taper off. But even as I type these words at 4:35 AM I can still hear in the distance the occasional sound of another exploding firework.

The message is clear; we have had enough of government telling us we cannot do this and we cannot do that, and last night's raucous display was a benign rejection of nanny government, with President Obama here to witness it! With some of the smuggled fireworks powerful enough to rattle the windows, I expect the Secret Service was very nervous last night, and probably did not get much sleep! :)

Obama Imposed 75,000 Pages of New Regulations in 2014

Just in the last few weeks, the Obama administration has proposed or imposed over 1,200 new regulations on the American people that will add even more to the already crushing $2 trillion per year cost burden of the federal regulatory machine. According to data compiled from the federal government’s Regulations.gov website by the Daily Caller, most of the new regulatory schemes involve energy and the environment — 139 during a mere two-week period in December, to be precise. In all, the Obama administration foisted more than 75,000 pages of regulations on the United States in 2014, costing over $200 billion, on the low end, if new proposed rules are taken into account.

Maduro blames plunging oil prices on U.S. 'war' vs Russia, Venezuela

Venezuela's petroleum export price has plunged by half during the second half of 2014 to $48, President Nicolas Maduro said on Monday in denouncing a U.S.-led "war" against Russia and his nation in the global oil market

The South American OPEC nation's crude trades at a discount to the U.S. and Brent benchmarks because of its higher content of heavy oil.

Average monthly prices for oil, a product that accounts for 96 percent of Venezuela's hard currency revenue, have dropped steadily since July, when it was at $96.14 per barrel.

Venezuela enjoyed average prices of $103.42 per barrel in 2012 and $98.08 in 2013.

Giving the latest figure for Monday, Maduro repeated his socialist government's accusations that the plunge in oil was a U.S.-planned conspiracy primarily intended to harm Russia.

Key Figures In CIA-Crack Cocaine Scandal Begin To Come Forward

More than 18 years have passed since Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Gary Webb stunned the world with his “Dark Alliance” newspaper series investigating the connections between the CIA, a crack cocaine explosion in the predominantly African-American neighborhoods of South Los Angeles, and the Nicaraguan Contra fighters -- scandalous implications that outraged LA’s black community, severely damaged the intelligence agency's reputation and launched a number of federal investigations.

It did not end well for Webb, however. Major media, led by The New York Times, Washington Post and Los Angeles Times, worked to discredit his story. Under intense pressure, Webb's top editor abandoned him. Webb was drummed out of journalism. One LA Times reporter recently apologized for his leading role in the assault on Webb, but it came too late. Webb died in 2004 from an apparent suicide. Obituaries referred to his investigation as "discredited."

It Wasn't North Korea Or Russia: Sony Hack "Perpetrator" Said To Be Laid-Off, Disgruntled Employee

First it was, with "absolute certainly", North Korea. Then, out of the blue, an even more ridiculous theory emerged about the origin of the Sony hackers: Russia. Now, we finally get the truth, and as it turns out it was neither of the abovementioned sovereign actors who had nothing better to do than to hack movie scripts and racist emails: it was Sony's own disgruntled worker who was the source of the hack. According to Politico, FBI agents investigating the Sony Pictures hack were briefed Monday by a security firm that says its research points to laid-off Sony staff, not North Korea, as the perpetrator.

"Researchers from the cyber intelligence company Norse have said their own investigation into the data on the Sony attack doesn’t point to North Korea at all and instead indicates some combination of a disgruntled employee and hackers for piracy groups is at fault."

President Obama Defends Iran Nuclear Deal to Israeli Policy Forum

President Obama said today “We don’t know yet” whether the agreement reached with Iran last month will succeed in keeping the country from producing nuclear weapons, but he asserted that there are “unprecedented” fail-safe mechanisms to keep the agreement from failing, as others have in the past.

The president defended the deal today at a Mideast policy conference, where he was asked what made the sweeping, if tentative pact — which Israel opposed — “different” from the failed nuclear agreements pursued by Presidents Reagan with Pakistan and Clinton with North Korea.

“Well, we don’t know yet. We don’t know yet.” Obama said at the Brookings Institute’s Saban Forum. “I think it’s important for everybody to understand: This is hard, because the technology of the nuclear cycle you can get off the Internet. The knowledge of creating a nuclear weapon is already out there.”

Molten metal under Trade Center rubble could NOT have come from jet fuel

The U.S. government, the 9/11 Commission, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, FEMA and the mainstream media all do the same thing. When they can’t explain something that contradicts the official version of events on 9/11, they simply pretend the questions don’t exist.

Among the most crucial examples of this are the large pools of molten metal found under the rubble of the two twin towers of the World Trade Center and Building 7. The molten metal burned under the rubble for weeks, with the final fires not being extinguished until December of 2001, three months after the disaster.

The official story can’t explain this; it doesn’t even try. That’s because the molten metal points to a controlled demolition – explosive charges combined with a material that causes a chemical reaction creating extreme heat to cut through steel beams.

The secret GMO war: double agents, betrayal, greed?Dec26

Well, let me put it to you this way. What would happen to Whole Foods’ program of voluntary GMO labeling if there were mandatory labeling across America, or in any state where Whole Foods does business?

Can you guess?

I’ll break it down. Whole Foods has pledged to put “non-GMO” labels on their products by 2018. They’ll do everything they can to sell as many non-GMO products as possible. The products that don’t carry the non-GMO seal will obviously be GMO, and customers can avoid them if they want to.

On the other hand, if suddenly, out of the blue, mandatory labeling became law, the whole voluntary non-GMO label enterprise would be obsolete. Why voluntarily put that label on products when mandatory labeling handles the whole issue?

“We put non-GMO labels on our food. Aren’t we wonderful?”

“Not really. The mandatory labels tell me everything that’s GMO. All the other products are non-GMO. Thanks, but no thanks.”

Why America would be foolish to wage a cyber-war against North Korea

North Korea's creaky internet crashed for nine hours on Monday, and is now mostly back up. This outage is probably no coincidence. Many observers assume that the Obama administration is behind it, retaliating to what the government called North Korean "cyber vandalism" aimed at Sony Pictures. That attack, as everyone knows, led Sony to cancel the release of a comedy, The Interview, about the assassination of North Korea's young leader, Kim Jong Un.

If President Obama did launch an undeclared cyberwar against North Korea, it may well be the equivalent of Bill Clinton launching cruise missiles at Osama bin Laden's empty training camps back in the 1990s. Clinton's salvo was never a real strategy to deal with a growing threat, and resulted only in intensified attacks. Obama may be making a similar mistake now.

President Obama’s “gift” to Americans this holiday season is to renege on his 2009 pledge “to seek the peace and security of a world without nuclear weapons.”

He is upgrading the lethality level of an atomic arsenal already so deadly it can destroy all life on Earth. Then he’ll send Mr. and Mrs. America the bill, estimated by one Federal study at $1-trillion, to pay for the deadly upgrades he wants, rather than the peaceful improvements Americans need.

North Korea Says Obama And The CIA Are Behind The Sony Cyber Attacks

The North Korean National Defense Commission, led by Kim Jong-un, says the Obama administration is behind the production of Sony Pictures’ “The Interview,” a film featuring the assassination of the North Korean president.

It is unlikely Obama was directly involved in the production of the movie, which Sony pulled after theaters were allegedly targeted.

A more likely collaborator is the CIA, known for working closely with Hollywood on propaganda projects.

“Black Hawk Dawn, Zero Dark Thirty and Argo, those are only a few major recent productions showing how today’s movie industry promotes US foreign policy,” writes Julie Lévesque. “But the motion picture has been used for propaganda since the beginning of the 20th century and Hollywood’s cooperation with the Department of Defense, the CIA and other government agencies is no modern trend.”

Torture Report Epilogue: No Punishment for CIA Staff Who Spied on Senate

Well, if we’re not going to punish CIA officials for torturing people and misleading leaders about it, we’re certainly not going to punish CIA officials for snooping on Senate staff and misleading leaders about it, right?
