Clinton emails contained spy satellite data on North Korean nukes

One of the most serious potential breaches of national security identified so far by the intelligence community inside Hillary Rodham Clinton’s private emails involves the relaying of classified information concerning the movement of North Korean nuclear assets, which was obtained from spy satellites.

Multiple intelligence sources who spoke to The Washington Times, solely on the condition of anonymity, said concerns about the movement of the North Korean information through Mrs. Clinton’s unsecured server are twofold.

First, spy satellite information is frequently classified at the top-secret level and handled within a special compartment called Talent-Keyhole. This means it is one of the most sensitive forms of intelligence gathered by the U.S.

YEMEN’S HIDDEN WAR: HOW THE SAUDI-LED COALITION IS KILLING CIVILIANS

In the Islamic concept of qadar, your divine destiny is inescapable. If you try to cheat death it will find you. For two women on a dusty road in mid-June on the southwest corner of the Arabian Peninsula, their repeated attempts to dodge fate ended in tragic failure.

Leaving the war zone of Yemen’s southern port city of Aden on June 10, the women headed north in a Toyota Cressida driven by a male relative. The pair were escaping the violence that had already turned entire streets in Aden to rubble, left hundreds dead and thousands of civilians under siege, struggling to find food, water and medical care.

Driving ahead of them was a family of four in a Hilux pick-up truck, slowing at the numerous checkpoints along the road and weaving around potholes in the asphalt. Between 4:30 and 5 p.m., seemingly from nowhere, the first missile struck. The Hilux flipped into a cartwheeling fireball, killing the two children and their parents inside.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would POLITELY like to remind both the Saudi and US governments that the indiscriminate murdering of civilians is a war crime.

New S-500 Anti-Missile Missile Will Seal Russia Airspace

Some sectors of U.S. Think Tankland – with their cozy CIA ties – are now hedging their bets about Cold War 2.0, out of fear that they have misjudged what really happens on the geopolitical chessboard.

A shooting war is not exactly a brilliant idea. Russia’s S-500 anti-missile missiles and anti-aircraft missiles can intercept any existing ICBM, cruise missile, or aircraft. S-500s travel at 15,480 miles an hour; reach an altitude of 115 miles; travel horizontally 2,174 miles; and can intercept up to ten incoming missiles. They simply cannot be stopped by any American anti-missile system.

Forbes Fail! Western media outlet publishes fake Russian troop casualty article, and its zombie readers actually believe it

Due to a lack of actual evidence (i.e. photos, videos, something, anything) to show that some 1,000 to 50,000 Russian troops have invaded Ukraine some 37 plus times and counting…Forbes has just said screw it, and is now printing anything they find on the web that says Russian military is operating in Ukraine.

Forum posts, tweets, blog comments, post-it notes…anything to try and garner support for the magazine’s MIC sponsors. More weapon sales means more money for the rich 1% Forbes guys.

Calling on their trusted Russophobe scaremonger contributor Paul R. Gregory to provide some “Russian aggression” goodies, the Kiev consultant and Hoover Institute sponsored “academic” came up with a suspicious, little known web site, owned by a shell company in Ukraine, printing a fake Russian military casualty story…no sources, no research, no fact checking, no google search…nada – nothing.

Mom, Is it War Yet?

For me 2015 began with a suicide. I was on my way to Berlin with an early train just after midnight on 1 January. About 8 am our connecting train from Hamburg stopped approximately 25 kilometres down the line because someone had apparently gotten up early that morning and travelled to a point in the middle of nowhere to jump in front of it. Since our train was approximately 45 minutes late, this person not only had to contemplate his way to the tracks but wait perhaps impatiently for the wheeled engine of his demise to do its work.

The Production of Evil (an op-ed from Russia)

If you can't unite your subjects by serving their common interests, you can do it using a common enemy. And if this common enemy doesn't exist—no problem, you can create one with your own hands. You can give it the opportunity to grow up, give it weapons, grant it immunity and release it into the world.

The most important thing in such a creation is that it must be horrible. It must be self-evidently horrible. So horrible that everyone—even the idiots—could understand that this—this thing covered in blood, holding a torn-off human leg in its hand—is the only alternative to having the United States of America in complete control of everything. That burning people alive, mass executions, beheadings, sanctioned rapes—this is the only alternative to gay marriage, feminism, total surveillance of everyone and extraterritorial American “justice.”

The western establishment is nurturing ISIS like an attack dog, feeding it, training it to like human blood, in order to then release it and offer people the freedom of choice: you can die in its teeth, or you can hide behind a gate, the keys to which are in the hands of global capitalism......

Breaking the Depleted Uranium Ceiling

It is not that there is an Iraq test. It is that Iraq is the touchstone for adherence to the neo-liberal consensus. All these professionally successful people share a number of attitudes, of which support for the Iraq War is a good indicator. There is a very strong correlation between support for the Iraq War and fierce Zionism. But there is also a strong correlation between support for the Iraq War and support for austerity economics. The strongest correlation of all lies in support for the Iraq War and for “business-friendly” tolerance of corporatism, TTIP, multinational tax avoidance, low taxation and marketization of public services including in education and health.

To return to where I started, the quite extraordinary thing is that there is a near-universal recognition in wider society that the Iraq War was both completely unjustified and a dreadful strategic blunder. Yet its support is a major pre-condition for membership of the governing elite.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

9.Come half-clean. This is also known as "confession and avoidance" or "taking the limited hangout route." This way, you create the impression of candor and honesty while you admit only to relatively harmless, less-than-criminal "mistakes." This stratagem often requires the embrace of a fall-back position quite different from the one originally taken. With effective damage control, the fall-back position need only be peddled by stooge skeptics to carefully limited markets.

5.Call the skeptics names like "conspiracy theorist," "nutcase," "ranter," "kook," "crackpot," and, of course, "rumor monger." Be sure, too, to use heavily loaded verbs and adjectives when characterizing their charges and defending the "more reasonable" government and its defenders. You must then carefully avoid fair and open debate with any of the people you have thus maligned. For insurance, set up your own "skeptics" to shoot down.

Chilcot report delays blamed on ‘vested interests’

Anger over continued delays in the publication of the report into the Iraq war has swung back against the government with allegations that “vested interests” have tried to suppress evidence.

The inquiry, chaired by former Whitehall mandarin Sir John Chilcot and established in 2009, has yet to name a date for the publication of its report, which is expected to heavily criticise a number of politicians, including former prime minister Tony Blair, and several intelligence and defence officials.

The delay has dismayed the families of armed forces personnel killed in the conflict and led to complaints that it is prolonging their anguish. It has also seen Chilcot come under criticism from MPs, with David Cameron and other ministers repeatedly expressing their frustration.

AMERICAN TEEN GETS 11 YEAR SENTENCE FOR PRO-ISIS TWEETS THAT TAUGHT PEOPLE HOW TO USE BITCOIN

But, the rest of the charges against him seem… like a teenager using Twitter and other social media to discuss stuff he’s interested in. Amin ran a Twitter account called @AmreekiWitness, which had about 4,000 followers. He tweeted pro-ISIS propaganda, but that still seems to be a form of protected speech, last I checked. And, his big “crime” appears to be linking to an article about why ISIS supporters should use Bitcoin.

As tragedies shock Europe, a bigger refugee crisis looms in the Middle East

While the world’s attention is fixed on the tens of thousands of Syrian refugees swarming into Europe, a potentially far more profound crisis is unfolding in the countries of the Middle East that have borne the brunt of the world’s failure to resolve the Syrian war.

Those reaching Europe represent a small percentage of the 4 million Syrians who have fled into Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey and Iraq, making Syria the biggest single source of refugees in the world and the worst humanitarian emergency in more than four decades.

As the fighting grinds into a fifth year, the realization is dawning on aid agencies, the countries hosting the refugees and the Syrians themselves that most won’t be going home anytime soon, presenting the international community with a long-term crisis that it is ill-equipped to address and that could prove deeply destabilizing, for the region and the wider world.

Open War In Yemen! Saudi Arabia and UAE Invade

Unbeknownst to most Americans, a new war was launched in early August and not merely the proxy force versus proxy force variety that we have become accustomed to seeing over the last few years. A direct military conflict and invasion of Yemen by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates – complete with air assaults, tanks, and ground troops – was launched in early August. Yet, if one were not following the events in Yemen closely, you would scarcely have known that the war had started.

Indeed, when Tony Cartalucci wrote that, “with almost a whimper,” the Western media reported the ground invasion of Yemen, he couldn’t have been more right.

Total War in Yemen Totally Ignored by Western Media

With almost a whimper, the Western media reported that the US-backed regimes of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and their auxiliary fighters drawn from Al Qaeda have begun carrying out what is the ground invasion of Yemen. Along with an ongoing naval blockade and months of bombing raids, the ground invasion adds a lethal new dimension to the conflict – for both sides.

Landing at the port city of Aden on Yemen’s southern tip, it is reported that an “armor brigade” consisting of between 1,000 – 3,000 troops primarily from the UAE are now moving north, their ultimate destination Sana’a, the capital of Yemen.

Columns of the UAE’s French-built Leclerc main battle tanks were seen moving out of the port city though their numbers are difficult to establish. Reports claiming that the UAE unit is brigade-sized might indicate as many as 100 tanks involved – a third of the UAE’s total armored force.

Fascism From West Point

The key weapon in this war, he says, is information. U.S. crimes are not the problem; the problem, he writes, is any information distributed about U.S. crimes -- which information is only damaging because the United States is the pinnacle of support for the rule of law. It wouldn't matter if you spread news about crimes by some more lawless nation. But when you share news about crimes by the United States it hurts the U.S. cause which is upholding the rule of law and leading the world to lawfulness. The United States is the all-time world champion of the rule of law, we're told, in a 95-page screed that never mentions the Kellogg-Briand Pact and only belatedly brings up the United Nations Charter in order to pretend that it permits all U.S. wars.

The worst country in the world for internal conflict was Uganda, according to the IEP. It has been heavily involved in fighting in the DR Congo, as well as in skirmishes with the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) of Joseph Kony in border regions.

Overall, Japan is ranked as the eighth-most peaceful country in the world, second only to New Zealand in the Asia-Pacific region.

Global War On Terror Has Killed 4 Million Muslims Or More

Published in March by Physicians for Social Responsibility, the study, conducted by a team that included some Nobel Prize winners, determined that at least 1.3 million people have died as a result of war since Sept.11, 2001, but the real figure might be as high as two million. The study was an attempt to “close the gaps” in existing research, including studies like the Iraq Body Count,” which puts the number of violent deaths in that country at about 219,000 since 2003, based on media reports of the time period.

Investigative journalist Nafeez Ahmed, writing in April for Middle East Eye, explained some of the ways the previous figures fell short, according to the physicians’ research:

THE ONE CHART THE MILITARY-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX IS HOPING MEAN REVERTS

While most of the world will be hoping the following chart never (ever) mean-reverts to its previous historically devastating highs, there is one group that is 'banking' on it... The Military-Industrial Complex...

Of course, as Ron Paul recently explained recently, the current enemy of choice is Russia:

"The people have to have the propaganda convert them into someone they hate, so they can hate...so you had to have a Saddam Hussein, an Ayatollah, or somebody else, and right now it’s Russia."
Paul goes on to note that while the Cold War may have fueled the need for American military spending, its end has left Washington without a clear enemy to demonize. The US government is now spreading disinformation about subjects like the Ukraine crisis in order to paint Russia as a villain.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Russians are not the enemy, and the narrative spun by the White House, Pentagon, and State Department have absolutely no relationship with reality here.

Love thy neighbour: The Texas town welcoming undocumented migrants

In 2014, the number of people crossing the southern border into the US suddenly shot upwards: more than 130,000 refugees from Central America arrived; almost half were under 18, and travelling alone. They were fleeing persistent and growing violence – and continuing poverty – in Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. Most of them forded the Rio Grande – wading if it was shallow, or paddling across in inflatable boats – and arrived in Texas. Rather than sneaking through the underbrush, these border-crossers turned themselves in to the border patrol at the first opportunity – hoping they would be welcomed as refugees. They came in such great numbers that they overwhelmed the existing border patrol facilities – small lockups, not intended to hold people for more than a few days. Soon, new arrivals were being housed in offices, aeroplane hangars and anywhere else the agency could find beds, or even empty patches of floor.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The problem NO ONE in US government wants to really address is, why are these people fleeing their country of origin, because they know they cannot go back?!?

I will give you an answer in just 3 words, as is it is for displaced Syrians, desperately fleeing their country and attempting to get to Europe for sanctuary and refugee status: US foreign policy.

As reported at the North American Congress on Latin America (NACLA) at their website, nacla.org:

During his brief visit to Costa Rica in May 2013, President Obama appeared eager to downplay the U.S. regional security agenda, emphasizing instead trade relations, energy cooperation, and youth programs. “So much of the focus ends up being on security,” he complained during a joint press conference with his Costa Rican counterpart Laura Chinchilla. “But we also have to recognize that problems like narco-trafficking arise in part when a country is vulnerable because of poverty, because of institutions that are not working for the people, because young people don’t see a brighter future ahead.” Asked by a journalist about the potential use of U.S. warships to counter drug-trafficking, Obama was adamant: “I’m not interested in militarizing the struggle against drug trafficking.” Human rights organizations from Central America, Mexico, and the United States see the administration’s regional security policy very differently. In a letter sent to Obama and the region’s other presidents last year, over 145 civil society organizations called out U.S. policies that “promote militarization to address organized crime.” These policies, the letter states, have only resulted in a “dramatic surge in violent crime, often reportedly perpetrated by security forces themselves. Human rights abuses against our families and communities are, in many cases, directly attributable to failed and counterproductive security policies that have militarized our societies in the name of the ‘war on drugs.’” The surge in U.S. security assistance has coincided with a notable regional increase in the militarization of law enforcement activities. Starting in 2007, former President Felipe Calderón of Mexico began deploying tens of thousands of troops as part of his government’s crackdown on drugs and organized crime. In El Salvador troops were deployed in the streets in 2009 and their presence was increased in 2011. In 2011 and 2012 Salvadoran president Mauricio Funes appointed active and inactive military officers to top security posts, breaking with the tradition since the country’s 1992 peace accords of keeping these posts in civilian hands. In Guatemala, meanwhile, over 21,000 army troops have taken up policing missions, often far outnumbering the number of police personnel in the areas where they are deployed. According to the Center for International Policy (CIP) approximately 40% of Guatemala’s security-related posts have been filled by former military officers, since former army chief Otto Perez Molina’s 2012 ascension to the presidency. * U.S. security funding to Honduras was briefly suspended following the June 2009 military coup. But by the following year the United States had resumed funding at a higher rate than before the coup, even though the Center for Justice and International Law noted that “high-ranking Army officers or former members of the Army against whom complaints were brought for their participation in the coup d’état, are occupying executive positions in government offices.” In November 2011 the Honduran government began sending military patrols into the streets to fight common crime, and in August 2013 a new Military Police for Public Order was created, tasked with cracking down on gang activity. Military involvement in policing duties had been prohibited under the Honduran constitution, but in January 2014 the country’s legislature amended the constitution to permit a military police force. Though the U.S. government has remained silent regarding military involvement in law enforcement activities, the steady increase of U.S. assistance to national armed forces has, if anything, been an indicator of tacit U.S. support. But the U.S. role in militarization of national police forces has been direct as well. In 2011 and 2012, the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Foreign-deployed Advisory Support Team (FAST)—which had previously carried out military-style missions in Afghanistan—set up camp in Honduras to train a local counternarcotics police unit and help plan and execute drug interdiction operations in the Mosquitia, a remote region in eastern Honduras that has recently become a hub for the transit of drug shipments northward. Supported by U.S. helicopters mounted with high caliber machine guns, these operations were nearly indistinguishable from military missions, and locals routinely referred to the DEA and Honduran police agents as “soldados” (soldiers). According to The New York Times, five “commando style squads” of FAST teams have been deployed across Central America to train and support local counternarcotics units. In July 2013, the Honduran government created a new “elite” police unit called the Intelligence Troop and Special Security Group, or TIGRES (Spanish for “tigers”). The unit, which human rights groups contend is military in nature, has been deployed in tandem with the new military police force and has received training in military combat tactics from both U.S. and Colombian Special Forces units.

In short, these refugees are running away from brutal situations created directly by US foreign policy.

And the US government is about to reap the whirlwind regarding these policies. When a government sows chaos and oppression in foreign countries to achieve a good geopolitical outcome for the 1%, there will be consequences.

Just ask Angela Merkel, desperate as foreign refugees, fleeing from the US government's wars or US-enabled wars, are streaming into Germany in order to achieve refugee status, and the German people are getting furious about the refugee situation.

Just ask the Governors of any US/Mexico border states, and they will tell you that there is rage growing among its citizens as to illegal aliens streaming across their borders, for whom there are no financial assets with which to help them.

But please, let's put the blame where it belongs; on a US foreign policy which coddles dictators (known in DC as "OT", or "our thugs") who suppress their own people brutally, and who are, no doubt, making money hand over fist in the drug trade.

Unfortunately, sanity and US foreign policy have not had a good on-going relationship for many, many years now.

Benghazi attack could have been prevented if US hadn't 'switched sides in the War on Terror' and allowed $500 MILLION of weapons to reach al-Qaeda militants, reveals damning report

The Citizens Commission on Benghazi, a self-selected group of former top military officers, CIA insiders and think-tankers, declared Tuesday in Washington that a seven-month review of the deadly 2012 terrorist attack has determined that it could have been prevented – if the U.S. hadn't been helping to arm al-Qaeda militias throughout Libya a year earlier.

'The United States switched sides in the war on terror with what we did in Libya, knowingly facilitating the provision of weapons to known al-Qaeda militias and figures,' Clare Lopez, a member of the commission and a former CIA officer, told MailOnline.

She blamed the Obama administration for tacitly approving the diversion of half of a $1 billion Qatari arms shipment to al-Qaeda-linked militants.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So the US was arming Al Qaeda (at taxpayer expense) while telling us Al Qaeda was the enemy in the War on Terror!

The Missed Lesson on Terrorism

The foiled attack last week by a heavily armed gunman on a Paris-bound express train has generated a surge of discussion and hand-wringing in Europe about how better to protect against such attacks. There is nothing new about European trains as a terrorist target; an attack against commuter trains in Madrid 11 years ago that killed 191 people was a far more significant event. And the policy challenges involved are hardly specific either to Europe or to trains.

Background behind NATO expansion: new members, new customers

Though armament makers have lobbied for war in times past, Lockheed Martin's lobbying for the attack on Iraq is on an unprecedented scale. Since 1993, the manufacturer of WMD has been working on the enlargement of NATO, whose new members are new customers.

Lockheed Martin's financial and ideological influence in the Republican Party and its close ties with the "hawks" in Washington make it one of the main instigators of the attack on Iraq.

DOC: U.S. Army Mastering the Human Domain: Identity Operations for Strategic Landpower

Since the fall of the Berlin Wall, the strategic environment and the corresponding threats to our national security have dramatically changed. No longer are national priorities dominated by superpowers and nation states, but increasingly by loose networks of terrorists, transnational criminals, and other non-state actors within the “human domain.” As we have shifted into the new generation of warfare, the operational environment has evolved into a global operational environment favoring anonymous individuals who easily transform from citizen to enemy and back with limited logistical support or control.

Syria Shoots Down Israeli Warplane F-16 Bomber, Using Russian S-300 Air Defense System

Yesterday, Friday, August 21, 2015 in the early hours, Damascus time, an Israeli US made F-16 fighter-bomber, flew into Syrian airspace brazenly and fired at Brigade 68 and, then, turned and flew back toward Brigade 90 in Qunaytra in order to insure a safe landing in occupied Palestine if the aircraft was struck. It was struck. An SA-9 from the Iftiraas Air Defense Base and an SA-2 near the Khalkhaala AB were fired. But, the technical wizardry was most on display when an S-300 (SA-10 “Grumble) super-air-defense missile was fired from the Republican Guard base near the Mazza AB at the foot of Qaasiyoon Mountain west of Damascus. This was done so that the F-16’s electronic countermeasures would first fix on the SA-2 and SA-9 while the S-300 plowed forward to exterminate the vermin inside the Israeli aircraft. The S-300 vaporized the Israeli bomber.

Russia, Egypt support forming anti-ISIS coalition with Syria - Putin

Russia and Egypt support the creation of a broad anti-terrorist coalition, which would include Syria, to fight Islamic State militants, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a joint media conference with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel el-Sisi.

“We underline the fundamental importance of the formation of a broad anti-terrorist front involving key international players and regional countries, including Syria,” Putin said on Wednesday.

He also announced plans to increase grain deliveries to Egypt. Plans for Russia to participate in the developing of Egypt’s grain infrastructure were also discussed by the heads of state.

Grain deliveries from Russia to Egypt amounted to 4 million tons in 2014, which is 40% of Egypt’s total demand, Putin noted. In 2014, there was an 86% increase in bilateral trade compared to 2013, reaching $5.5 billion.

FLASHBACK - Dehumanization of a country and its people -Target: Iran

Dehumanization is a process by which a person, or a group of people, or a country as a whole is subjected to constant (but subtle and overt) statements of asserted demonization, for instance being called 'evil' or being compared to a historic figure (like Hitler) which most people despise.

Dehumanization may be directed by an organization (such as a state) or may be the composite of individual sentiments and actions, as with some types of de facto racism. State-organized dehumanization has been directed against perceived racial or ethnic groups, nationalities (or "foreigners" in general), religious groups, genders (against women and men), minorities of various sexual orientations (e.g. homosexuals), disabled people as a class, economic ( for instance, the homeless), and social classes, and many other groups.

Again and again I see references made regarding Iran that resembles that of Hitler's Germany and Stalin's Soviet Union.

Mystery Surrounding the Malaysian Airlines MH17 Crash: US Attempts to Frame Russia

The US and its allies wanted Russia branded with a scarlet letter. They manoeuvred Putin into a no-win situation: appear submissive or appear a mass murderer. Heads I win, tails you lose. They introduced into the UN Security Council a draft resolution on the formation of a special tribunal for the crashed Malaysian liner, containing a reference to Chapter VII, the deadliest of all, dealing with “threat to the peace, breach of the peace, or act of aggression” and authorising use of force. If such a resolution would pass, it would mean Russia gave up its sovereignty. Even in the unlikely case of fair trial, the impact of such a submission would be huge. And the trial would be by a hostile court for whom Truth Is No Defence.

NATO Military Buildup on Russia’s Doorstep: Who Is Doing the Saber-Rattling in Eastern Europe?

Over the past year and a half, NATO armed forces have almost doubled the number of military exercises they have staged near the Russian border: between 2012 and 2013 they conducted an average of 95 such training events per year, but there have already been 150 so far in 2015, and flights by reconnaissance aircraft along the Russian frontier have increased tenfold.

But in an attempt to unfairly place the blame on Russia for such exercises, the London-based European Leadership Network issued a report on Aug. 12 that uses a flawed methodology to compare one type of exercise held in Russia in 2015 with another kind of military drill organized by NATO this year. Criticism was only leveled at the large number of troops involved in the Russian exercise, because the alliance’s drill was smaller on that scale. The report’s purpose was obvious: to shift the entirety of the West’s own culpability for war preparations in Europe onto the Russians.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A short memo to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg; every time you accuse Russia of being the "aggressor", but can offer absolutely no tangible proof of these allegedly "aggressive actions", you lose any degree of credibility you might have ever once had.

I would strongly counsel restraint regarding any possible military conflict against Russia.

And if you think Afghanistan has been a debacle for NATO (and there is no other nice way to put it, sir), a war with Russia may well be a classic, horrific epic fail for NATO.

I would strongly and politely suggest that you may want to assist in getting Europe's own house in order, and work with those European nations overrun with desperate and displaced refugees, fleeing from wars of the US's and the West's making, to offer some humanity and dignity to those people who cannot ever go home again.

Perhaps, in this manner, NATO may redeem its reputation.

FLASHBACK - THE LIE OF THE (LAST) CENTURY

It is inescapable historical reality that leaders of nations will lie to their people to trick them into wars they otherwise would have refused. It is not "conspiracy theory" to suggest that leaders of nations lie to trick their people into wars. It is undeniable fact.

Did the government of the United States lie to the American people, more to the point, did President Bush and his Neocon associates lie to Congress, to initiate a war of conquest in Iraq?

This question has been given currency by a memo leaked from inside the British Government which clearly indicates a decision to go to war followed by the "fixing" of information around that policy. This is, as they say, a smoking gun.

But the fact is that long before this memo surfaced, it had become obvious that the US Government, aided by that of Great Britain, was lying to create the public support for a war in Iraq.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is time to repost this article, in part because the Chilcot Inquiry is making it clear that Tony "The Phony" Blair and George Bush need to be tried as war criminals, and also because many of the same lies used to trick us into war on Iraq are being repeated to trick us into war on Iran.

FLASHBACK 2005 - 'The Chosen': Getting In

A few years ago, I wrote a book about the rise of a new educated class, the people with 60's values and 90's money who go to Starbucks, shop at Whole Foods and drive Volvos. A woman came up to me after one of my book talks and said, "You realize what you're talking about is the Jews taking over America."

My eyes bugged out, but then I realized that she was Jewish and she knew I was, too, and between us we could acknowledge there's a lot of truth in that statement. For the Jews were the vanguard of a social movement that over the course of the 20th century transformed the American university system and the nature of the American elite.

Israel Punishing Syria for Russian S300 Sale

Israel’s broad air assault on Syria has nothing to do with retaliation, no more than the massive assault on Gaza had anything to do with Hamas rocket assaults on Israeli villages, assaults confirmed only by Israeli sources.

There is a real purpose to the timing of this Israeli attack and that is the promise of Russia to deliver a fully upgraded S300 system to Iran, one that totally nullifies Israel’s air advantage and even Israel’s ability to hit Iran with nuclear armed ICBMs.

The recent attack on Syria is, in actuality, an attempt on Israel’s part to discredit President Putin and Foreign Minister Lavrov. What few if any in the west understand is how thoroughly Putin has humiliated Netanyahu, a man whose mental stability has long been in question.

Netanyahu sees his bombing attacks on Syria and his open support for ISIS and her sister organizations as daring Russia to move against the US-Israel alliance.

The Neoconservative Empire Returns

Everyone knows the basics of the dispute over the nuclear deal with Iran. In no time at all, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu leaped directly into the American political arena to take potshots at that agreement in a way that, had any other world leader acted similarly, would have been denounced across the political spectrum. And he did so backed not only by his own party and government but by established opinion makers in Israel, all of whom are deeply convinced that the deal is neither reasonable nor in Israel’s best interests.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A war against Iran will most likely invite a war with Russia, coming to Iran's aid militarily.

The US military does not have the money, the troop strength, or the manufacturing to insure a positive outcome in a war against Russia, and that is what makes a war against Iran so scarily dangerous.

There are times when the interests of Israel and the US do align; the issue of the treaty with Iran is not one of those times.

And of course, the Israeli government wants the US to fight this war for them; that means it will be Americans in our military who will fight, die, and get maimed for life in a war to protect Israel's best interests.

Is this the highest and best use of US the US military?!? Absolutely not.

Did the Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki Really End the War?

“War is peace” at least according to a Sid Miller, a Texas official for Department of Agriculture and former state representative posted a facebook comment suggesting that the atomic bombs dropped in two Japanese cities during World War II killing and permanently injuring tens of thousands of people should be used again, this time against the Muslim world according to RT news. The facebook post read “Japan Has Been at Peace with the U.S. Since August 9, 1945, It’s Time we Made Peace with the Muslim World” with a picture of a mushroom cloud from an atomic explosion. RT News reported that “A Texas official will not apologize for a shared post on his Facebook page that insinuates an atomic bomb should be dropped on “the Muslim world.” Although the Department of Agriculture“claimed he did not personally share the post” it has undoubtedly caused a backlash against Miller.

Closing Guantanamo is not something that we should leave for the next president, but Obama is running out of time, said Defense Secretary Ashton Carter. The Pentagon’s process of moving the camp to inside US borders is proving to be difficult.

The War Criminal Who Won The Nobel Peace Prize: Barack Obama

Pentagon wants to ramp up drone flights by 2019

Ever since the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan started to wind down, the American public has gained a revulsion towards sending troops to combat zones overseas. Granted, public support for a ground invasion against Isis or Syria has teetered back and forth in recent years, but gone are the days when a US president could easily drum up support for a “Gulf War” style invasion. This means that when the Pentagon wants to go to war, all they can do is throw more drones at the problem.

WHEN $8.5 TRILLION IS CHUMP CHANGE

here’s my real concern. The $8.5 trillion is just the bit that the Pentagon can’t account for. That’s far from all the money it was given. U.S. military spending, spread across several departments with the biggest chunk of it to the Department of so-called Defense, is upwards of $1 trillion every year. Over 17 years at the current rate, which rose sharply after 2001, that’s upwards of $17 trillion.

Imagine that the Pentagon accounted for every dime of that missing $8.5 trillion, named every profiteer, documented the life history of every man, woman, and child killed, and passed the strictest audit by an independent team of 1,000 accountants reporting to 35 Nobel Laureates — if that happened, I ask you, exactly what difference would it make?
