The government could not provide any evidence that he had connections to international terrorists. He didn’t have his own weapons. He didn’t even have enough money to replace the dead battery in his beat-up, green 1994 Honda Accord. -- Osmakac was the target of an elaborately orchestrated FBI sting that involved a paid informant, as well as FBI agents and support staff working on the setup for more than three months.
Matthew Fogg, a former US Marshal and DEA officer, recently gave an interview to Brave New Films, where he disclosed that he was told, in no uncertain terms, to leave rich, white areas alone from any drug prosecutions. The Resident discusses.
These are the people in charge of public education and our criminal justice system, America.
People who will completely ruin a child, screw up his life, and overreact to the point that it makes soap operas look like CSPAN on a Tuesday and all because they can’t bother to tell the difference between a smoke-able illegal substance and a normal ass leaf.
I don’t even know what else to say. This is the dumbest story I have read all year, perhaps even more ignorant than that time the school suspended the kid for “making a terroristic threat” by declaring he was going to make another kid disappear with his magical one ring from The Hobbit movie.
I actually feel dumber for having read it, for it thus lodging into a crack somewhere in my grey brain matter and possibly staying there forever like the Three’s Company theme song.
Thanks a lot, Bedford County public schools for making me stupid, too.
March 16, 2015 - Agencies ranging from the NSA to the UK’s Intelligence and Security Committee are working to rebrand several security phrases, including swapping the controversial “mass surveillance” with the less-ominous term “bulk data collection.” RT’s Marina Portnaya takes a look at the changes and the hopes for rebranding in the security community.

"It's a tricky business accessing property that the bank doesn't truly own, and Beal says the industry known as "property preservation" has plenty of faults. "The pressures are pretty intense," said Beal. A KING 5 Investigation shows that those pressures may be one reason behind numerous complaints filed with attorneys, housing assistance groups, and the Washington Attorney General's Office. Typically, a homeowner complains that they have not abandoned the home, yet but have been locked out or found their personal property is missing."
So, is anything in the financial sector actually fixed? Former top Wall Street banker Nomi Prins contends, “We have many trillions of dollars and government policy trying to basically cover up the holes in the entire financial system that could create another Lehman or multiple Lehmans. So, we have a white wash or a hole in the wall that’s been plastered over many, many, many times. The hole is still there. The danger is still there. The co-dependency is still there. The leverage is still there. . . .It all look like there has been this cosmetic shift supporting these banking institutions rather than supporting, from the bottom up, the economies of these countries. That has the effect of creating deterioration in any of the assets that these banks are still financing. . . . “Buying securities does not help people get jobs. It does not help industries to continue to innovate. It does absolutely nothing for spreading a foundation of solid economics throughout the population.
Check out this old toy gun commercial from the 1950s or '60s and compare it to how children who play with toy guns (or even their own food or fingers fashioned like a gun) are treated today.
Do you think kids today are going to want to uphold their 2nd Amendment rights after they are terrorized and suspended or expelled by their schools for chewing a breakfast tart into an L-shape or being forced at age five to undergo a psych eval for bringing a Hello Kitty bubble gun to class? Even little kids playing with finger guns are considered a serious threat today.
From the mystery religions of ancient Egypt to the Zionist role in 9/11, “Ring Of Power” unrevises 4000 years of revisionist human history with never – before – seen revelations. “Ring Of Power” puzzles together the pieces of a giant puzzle into one BIG PICTURE documentary series. The Producer is an experienced, award winning documentary filmmaker who, as a child, learned that her father was a member of the secretive cult of Freemasonry. She recalls many arguments between her parents over her father’s secret meetings and the exclusion of women from the brotherhood. The Masonic ring that her father wore had been passed down from father to son over the generations. When she asked her father about the meaning of the letter “G” and the compass and square on his ring, she got no response. As an adult, she decided to investigate.
Ruby Ridge was the site of a deadly confrontation and siege in northern Idaho in 1992. It involved Randy Weaver, his family, Weaver’s friend Kevin Harris, and agents of the United States Marshals Service and Federal Bureau of Investigation. As a manhunt continues for the shooters of two Ferguson police officers at a protest early Thursday morning, new questions are being raised about how the incident will affect the already tense atmosphere between the community and its police department.
Consuming Kids throws desperately needed light on the practices of a relentless multi-billion dollar marketing machine that now sells kids and their parents everything from junk food and violent video games to bogus educational products and the family car. Drawing on the insights of health care professionals, children’s advocates, and industry insiders, the film focuses on the explosive growth of child marketing in the wake of deregulation, showing how youth marketers have used the latest advances in psychology, anthropology, and neuroscience to transform American children into one of the most powerful and profitable consumer demographics in the world. Consuming Kids pushes back against the wholesale commercialization of childhood, raising urgent questions about the ethics of children’s marketing and its impact on the health and well-being of kids.

Perhaps it is deliberate, or maybe it is a slip-up on the part of their editorial staff, but this report from Voice of America comes very close to revealing the true driving force behind the conflict in East Ukraine. According to report, the shelling of civilian neighbourhoods and the high number of civilian casualties, far from discouraging the take up of arms, are encouraging more men to join the rebellion.
. . . . when asked about similarities others have pointed out between Pharell’s hit song ‘Happy’ and ‘Ain’t That Peculiar’, a Marvin Gaye classic, the family just isn’t thinking about going down that legal road again. At least, not right now.
What other songs has he lifted from other artists?
I have -- since hearing it -- had a somewhat irrational dislike for this song. Both this song and his stupid hat annoy me; the popularity of the song and hat further annoy me.
Analyst Warren Pollock says, “Absolutely, we are headed for war because there is no truth. Without truth, war is the greatest expression of failure that there can be. . . . I think we could see an inflection point this fall. You can see it in the politicking between Republicans and Democrats. You can see it in the rhetoric against ISIS. You can see it in relation to the changes in the laws in relation to the handling of derivatives. You can see it in the prices of food in your grocery store.”
After Venezuela accused the United States of plotting another coup, State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki rejected the claim as "ludicrous." She said, "As a matter of long-standing policy, the United States does not support political transitions by non-constitutional means." The response from reporters may surprise you.

The Arizona state House is on the verge of passing a measure that would establish an interstate compact that would effectively block any state or local transfer regulations on guns in excess of federal law.
In 2005, Congress enacted the Energy Policy Act, complete with what's known as the Halliburton Loophole. The loophole excuses fracking companies from federal regulations like disclosing what chemicals they inject into the planet and obtaining certain permits. The Senate just now voted down a bill that would have repealed that loophole, because of COURSE they did.
Ukraine's inflation hit 34 percent in February. It's been mounting rapidly since the unrest erupted over a year ago. The conflict drained the country, and there's little money left in the reserves. From 20-billion dollars in January last year, it's now shrunk to less than 6 billion.
One thing that could have prevented this entire incident, however, would have been the magic question. “Am I being detained, am I free to go?” Our veteran does not ask this until he has engaged in a conversation with the officer and by this time it appeared to be too late.
The Neocon march to World War III with Russia is explored with retired Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, Paul Craig Roberts. How George W. Bush and Dick Cheney managed to embolden the far right towards reckless endangerment of global peace, and how Russia has become the focus of the static is discussed. The possibility of global economic collapse, plus the Reagan administration figure talks about how the political landscape has changed for the worse in this uncensored political discussion on Buzzsaw, hosted by Sean Stone.
A thorough, documented, criminal indictment of George Herbert Walker Bush, establishing beyond a reasonable doubt his guilt as a supervisor in the conspiracy to assassinate John F. Kennedy. You must see it to believe that former president George Herbert Walker Bush was connected to the assassination of JFK. Once you see this documentary though there should be no doubt in your mind that it’s true. The evidence is overwhelming and as the author of this documentary, John Hankey says, “If we could present this evidence to a jury in Texas, he would pay with his life”.
Here is the crux of the problem. If Dr. Duke simply states that Jews were the main proponents of the Iraq war, his opponents will say “there goes that crazy anti-Semite again.” But if he shows a short video clip of the most prominent Jewish journalist of a generation, Carl Bernstein, declaring in no uncertain terms that Jewish neocons were behind the war, then Dr. Duke is accused of copyright violations!
Former French foreign minister, Roland Dumas, confirmed what many suspect is a Zionist-controlled regime in Paris. Dumas told a French television channel that France’s prime minister Manuel Valls is “under Jewish influence.”
March 07, 2015 - There is fresh fall-out in Ferguson, Missouri following the scathing report identifying patterns of discrimination in the city's police department. Two veteran police commanders have resigned and a city court clerk was fired, following what officials are calling a series of racist e-mails. Vinita Nair reports.
In the face of criticism against several police departments, New York City cops are revamping their controversial stop-and-frisk program. However, civil rights proponents and New Yorkers in general do not believe that the NYPD are making any real effort with these changes.
In 1985, the New York Times reported that ‘[f]ederal climate experts have suggested that within a century the greenhouse effect could turn New York City into something with the climate of Daytona Beach, Fla.”
Free trips around the country taken by a former police chief and paid for by a city vendor. A relationship between Fort Worth’s former police chief and the company it bought body cameras from, Taser International, is now under scrutiny.
But why send in a roach? Is not the 'Internet of Things' likely going to be treasure trove enough? One would think the seemingly endless metadata, streaming with our implied consent (did you read that Terms of Service carefully?) from every little electronic device now taken for granted in our day-to-day lives, would be able to provide more than enough details to make it trivial for supercomputers to reconstruct our every move in real time -- like the DEA is already doing for all cars on US roads...

Life in America is no bed of roses. Nor are there any signs that things will get better anytime soon. However, in this week’s vodcast, constitutional attorney John W. Whitehead—author of the award-winning book A Government of Wolves: The Emerging American Police State—explains why, even with all that is wrong with the nation, it’s not time to give up on America.
It was in Oxford as a student Clinton came to hear about the One World Government for the first time, and what was required to be a member of this New World Order. In an interview in 1994 Clinton said that he’d known about the “Shadow-government” already in his youth, and had been very enthusiastic to get an entrance into the “Inner Circle” and from there have the opportunity to participate in decisions regarding the future of the world.
A Canadian team has created a searchable database of all the publicly released classified documents leaked by former U.S. National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden in hopes it'll help citizens better understand the complex files trickling out around the world.
Not only is the police state here, but it is upgrading all the time.
While people are busy fighting an uphill battle with apparently rampant cases of abuse, excessive force and a misguided and failed War on Drugs, many are too far behind the times to keep up with these technologies – now being tested or used in police departments across the country.
While the use of technology in policing is nothing new, it might surprise you have far things have gone – with much of police surveillance now fully automated and integrated into wireless networks, and monitored by Homeland Security-funded fusion centers.
Reason.tv rounded up these examples of creepy, robot, privacy destroying police tactics (and it’s only just beginning):
The Commission on Presidential Debates is a private corporation headed by the former chairmen of the Republican and Democratic parties. The CPD is a duopoly which allows the major party candidates to draft secret agreements about debate arrangements including moderators, debate format and even participants. The result is a travesty riddled with sterile, non-contentious arguments which consistently exclude alternative voices that Americans want to hear.
With so much government and medical promotion of vaccination for prevention of disease, the video is clearly devoted to presenting the other side of the issue that parents and others are not being told. The result is a damning account of the ineffectiveness of vaccines and their often harmful effects.
On February 27 the West Virginia senate passed a bill to eliminate the need for obtaining a permit to to carry a concealed handgun, citing the 2nd Amendment as reason enough to exercise an “inherent right.”
A slew of law enforcement issues over the previous two months has created a call for more reform and changes within America’s police departments, with President Barack Obama meeting with a task force to address these mounting concerns.

We had reported on the show that a group of political activists and journalists testified in a New York Court about why they're suing the Obama administration over the National Defense Authorization Act or NDAA. Chris Hedges, author and Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter is also one of the plaintiffs; he joins the show to discuss.
The Obama Justice Department has roughly 24 hours to explain to a federal appeals court whether the administration believes judges have the power to overturn federal laws — in the latest escalation between the two branches of government over the federal health care overhaul.
A three-judge panel for the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday ordered the Justice Department to explain by Thursday at noon whether the administration believes judges have that authority. The challenge came after President Obama cautioned the Supreme Court against overturning the health care law and warned that such an act would be “unprecedented.”
