Israeli leaders refuse to meet Carter because of ‘anti-Israel’ views

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have turned down a request from former US President Jimmy Carter to meet during his upcoming visit to the occupied Palestinian territories because of Carter’s 'anti-Israel' stance, a report says.

According to an unnamed Israeli official, both leaders refused to meet Carter following consultations between the Israeli foreign ministry and the national security council of the premier’s office, Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported on Monday.

The foreign ministry urged Rivlin and Netanyahu to refrain from meeting the 90-year-old due to his "anti-Israeli stance" over the last few years, according to the official.

The report said that Israel has allowed Carter to visit the besieged Gaza Strip during his visit.

Politician Tasked With Oil Industry Oversight Gets a Paycheck From Big Oil

The BP oil spill turned five years old on Monday, and as my colleague Tim McDonnell reported, we're still paying the price: There's as much as 26 million gallons of crude oil still on the floor of the Gulf of Mexico. But the story of the Deepwater Horizon wasn't just about environmental devastation—it was also a story about regulation.

More Hillary Cronyism Revealed – How Cisco Used Clinton Foundation Donations to Cover-up Human Rights Abuse in China

In her 2014 memoir “Hard Choices,” Clinton reiterated her support for human-rights advocates in China. She specifically criticized the Great Firewall, writing that after she made comments about the right to dissent in China in 2011, “censors went right to work erasing mentions of my message from the Internet.”

But the issue of Chinese repression — and Cisco’s role — was already known by then. In 2009, weeks after Clinton’s State Department had named Cisco a finalist for the secretary of state’s Awards for Corporate Excellence (ACE), a report from the Electronic Freedom Foundation noted “Cisco’s deep involvement” in building the Chinese government’s censorship system. The report pointed out that “Cisco engineers gave a presentation acknowledging the repressive uses for their technology.”

New Hillary Scandal – Should She Kiss Her White House Dreams Goodbye?

If Trey Gowdy manages to get to the bottom of the Benghazi scandal, we might see Hillary Clinton held responsible for the deaths of three in the terrorist attack on the U.S. embassy.

But, even if she manages to avoid being held accountable for their deaths, there’s a new scandal that’s being brought to the attention of the voting public that could have her found guilty with blood on her hands.

A 2008 donation to the Clinton foundation is now being called into question as the company who donated money was later granted a special privilege once Mrs. Clinton was nominated Secretary of State.

Frank Giustra is a wealthy Colombian oil tycoon and owner of Pacific Rubiales. Notably, he’s also a close friend of the Clintons and even serves on the board of the Clinton foundation. It’s estimated he’s donated in excess of $130 million to the Clintons various philanthropies.

He and the Clintons are inseparable.

The Most Outrageous Fraud Ever Perpetrated on the Canadian People

The good folks at COMER have for years – decades, actually – been trying to get people to pay attention to what is far and away the biggest, most outrageous fraud ever perpetrated on the Canadian people. I am speaking here of the fact that instead of the Canadian government borrowing money from its own bank, our bank – the Bank of Canada (BoC) – it has, since 1974 chosen instead to borrow from private international and domestic financial institutions providing them with enormous, absolutely risk free profits for almost four decades.

Monsanto Furious At World Health Organization For Claiming Weedkiller Causes Cancer

Following Monsanto lobbyist comments recently that he's "not stupid" enough to drink the weedkiller that he also proclaimed was safe enough that "you can drink a whole quart of it and it won’t hurt you;" Reuters reports that the maker of the world's most widely used herbicide, Roundup, wants an international health organization to retract a report linking the chief ingredient in the weedkiller to cancer. The company said on Tuesday that a report, issued on Friday by the WHO, was biased: "The WHO has something to explain." However, as one scientist noted, "there are a number of independent, published manuscripts that clearly indicate that glyphosate...can promote cancer and tumor growth."

Science is the most powerful rationalization in the modern world. Consensus reality would fail and disperse without it.

As I’ve covered before, the most conservative mainstream estimate of medically caused death in America is 225,000 people per year. Every credential behind that figure is immaculate.

IDF Censor Seeks Possible Phantom Leaker

Haaretz’s managing editor, Aluf Benn, published a series of articles (this is the main one) about an ill-fated Israel-Iran oil venture, the Eilat-Ashkelon Pipeline Company (EAPC), that began in 1968 and ended in 1979, just after the Iranian Revolution. The most criticial part of the project was a pipeline running from Eilat to the major Israeli port of Ashdod. The Shah agreed to ship his oil via the pipeline, thus avoiding the Suez Canal, and then transport it, via tankers jointly owned by the venture, to Europe. Israel received approximately $200-million in oil from Iran before the Shah’s regime collapsed and Iran withdrew from the venture.

JADE HELM 15: ARMY SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND PUSHES BACK AGAINST ALARMIST CLAIMS ABOUT UPCOMING EXERCISE

U.S. Army Special Operations Command is pushing back against alarmist claims that an upcoming U.S. military exercise is a preparation for imposing martial law or subduing right-leaning groups and individuals. Conspiracy theories about the exercise, known as JADE HELM 15, appeared online this week. Some commentators railing against the event referred to an online slide show allegedly created by USASOC, which outlined a special operations exercise slated to take place across multiple states, outside the confines of U.S. military bases. In the slide show, a map of the southwest region of the United States labels Texas and other territory as “hostile” or “insurgent pocket.” The document also refers to coordination with law enforcement agencies.

Putin warns Israel on possible lethal arms delivery to Kiev

OK City - Why Did Bill Clinton's National Security Council Fund ATF "Experiments" in Building Home Made ANFO Truck Bombs in 1994?

According to the federal government, an Ammonia Nitrate-Fuel Oil (ANFO) truck bomb allegedly destroyed the Alfred P. Murrah building in downtown Oklahoma City on the morning of Wednesday, April 19, 1995. Also, according to recently released government documents, an individual experienced in loading large amounts of ammonia nitrate fertilizer into a vehicle for use as a terrorist truck bomb was present at the OKC scene and actually witnessed the worst terrorist attack in U.S. history. Records indicate that this ANFO explosives expert and his associates had constructed and destroyed at least eight vehicles in "test bombing experiments" out at a secret range in the New Mexico desert in the twelve months prior to the OKC bombing. He and his fellow explosives experts even photographed and videotaped these truck bombs as they detonated.

Canadian Wheat Board to be sold to Saudi-owned Global Grain Group

The federal government is privatizing the Canadian Wheat Board with a sale to a Saudi-owned company.

G3 Global Grain Group will get 50.1 per cent of the company in exchange for an investment of $250 million. The other 49.9 per cent will be kept in trust for farmers who deliver grain to the board.

Any farmer who does deliver will get $5 per tonne in equity in the organization. In seven years, G3 Global Grain Group has the option to buy back the shares from farmers at market value.

Steadfast Obama supporters like the Times’ Thomas Friedman expressed grave reservations, and the elders of the Republican establishment, Henry Kissinger and George Shultz, authored an extraordinary joint statement published April 7 in the Wall Street Journal. 39 Senators and 447 Congressmen signed a letter to the Islamic Republic of Iran warning that a future administration might void the present deal.

Haim Saban, the billionaire media mogul who owns the Spanish-language U.S. TV channel Univision, is apparently convinced that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is a shoe-in to the White House.

Can the courts liberate the Bank of Canada?

The good folks at COMER have for years -- decades, actually -- been trying to get people to pay attention to what is far and away the biggest, most outrageous fraud ever perpetrated on the Canadian people. I am speaking here of the fact that instead of the Canadian government borrowing money from its own bank, our bank -- the Bank of Canada (BoC) -- it has, since 1974, chosen instead to borrow exclusively from private international and domestic financial institutions providing them with enormous, absolutely risk-free profits for almost four decades.

The result, according to economist Ellen Brown:

"By 2012, the government had paid C$1 trillion in interest -- twice its national debt. Interest on the debt is now the government's single largest budget expenditure -- larger than health care, senior entitlements or national defense."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Hillary appears at the very end of this trailer.

Noam Chomsky: Neoliberal assault led to significant decline in democracy

Afshin Rattansi goes underground with Noam Chomsky on the crisis engulfing the West. From drone strikes in Yemen to potential conflict with Russia over the Ukraine crisis, he looks at the ‘disaster’ of neoliberalism. With left-wing movements resisting the US hegemony from South America to Europe, could the dominance of the US on the global stage be coming to an end? And with the IMF arguably suppressing democracy in Greece after their election, we take a look at the sway they hold over the UK.

US Neo-Con Throws Tantrum About World Russia Forum

Writing in the Daily Beast on March 31, neoconservative rabble-rouser James Kirchick assailed all the contributors to the 35th World Russia Forum held in the U.S. Senate Hart Building on March 26 as “Putin’s boot-lickers” and a convention of “Dead Souls”. He accused Professor Stephen Cohen of New York University of “ranting”. He described the World Russia Forum 2015 as “a nest of Putin apologists and has-beens” and as “a gathering of Kremlin apologists, conspiracy theorists, and other assorted nut jobs”.

‘Monster Marijuana’ To Become Reality As Monsanto Patents GMO Pot
Last week Monsanto announced that it had patented the first genetically modified strain of marijuana. This news has far-reaching consequences for drugs policy, since cannabis is still an illegal substance. 'We'll unseat Netanyahu from opposition'

“From our place in the opposition, we will unseat the Likud government in the future, Netanyahu will ultimately lead the country to a dead end.
Netanyahu needed to decide with whom he is going to form a coalition, It’s clear to all that he prefers a rightist-religious government… He even said a number of times that Tzipi Livni and I represent an anti-Zionist faction.
In any event, no messages have been passed between us,” Herzog said. “I said after the election results came in that we were headed to the opposition. That’s not by default. That is our preference.”

Hail to the Chief

Republicans haven’t just rejected President Obama. They have adopted Benjamin Netanyahu as their leader.

Last month, at the unilateral invitation of Republicans, and against the will of a Democratic president, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed a joint session of Congress. He argued for a foreign policy that matched the views of congressional Republicans, not the views of the U.S. administration. Many people, including me, were taken aback by this overt alliance between the U.S. opposition party and the prime minister of another country. But a Bloomberg Politics poll released this week shows that the alliance is deeply rooted. Republicans haven’t just rejected Obama. They have adopted Netanyahu as their leader.
