Spot the difference: Israel’s Prussian heritage – and destiny?

Uri Avnery views the similarities between Prussia and Israel – indeed, the Prussian heritage of Israel – and wonders whether the Jews-only state is destined for a similar fate to Prussia's.

”Arthur Ruppin had an immense impact on the Zionist enterprise, more than any other single person... Before becoming a Zionist, he was an extreme Prussian-German nationalist. He was one of the fathers of the 'scientific' racist creed and believed in the superiority of the Aryan race. Up to the end he occupied himself with measuring skulls and noses in order to provide support for assorted racist ideas. His partners and friends created the 'science' that inspired Adolf Hitler and his disciples.”

Poland, US sign deployment accord

Poland and the United States on Friday signed an agreement on the status of US troops in the eastern European country ahead of the deployment of US Patriot missiles.

"This agreement allows the stationing of US soldiers and materiel in Poland," Polish Defence Minister Bogdan Klich told the press. "For Poland it means that its security will be strengthened."

US Defence Secretary Robert Gates has said the United States wants to deploy SM-3 missiles in Poland and the neighbouring Czech Republic in 2015.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Even though the "missile shield" deal has been scrapped, the presence of US troops in Poland is bound to make Russia singularly cranky.

Madrid Bombings - inside job?

During the trial, explosives experts explained that they had searched all the objects left in the train cars four times and confirmed that it was impossible that the found bomb had been among them [8]. Its origin is even more doubtful because the abandoned objects, among which the bomb was purportedly found, were moved 3 times throughout the day of March 11, not always under the best surveillance [9], and ended up at the Vallecas police station, contrary to what the judge had ordered. If one adds to this the conflicting testimony about when it was discovered [10], the fact that the bomb was not mentioned in the inventories of abandoned objects [11], and the fact that there are no photos of the bomb before the time that it was dismantled, the inconsistency of such evidence becomes clear.

Blowback and the United States, its abandonment of law and worse

Christopher King says that the United States has gone beyond lawlessness and inhumanity into pathologically vicious means of waging warfare. It has experienced blowback from its past actions and can expect more from its wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Pearl Harbour attack was blowback and current Japanese objections to US base arrangements might be the commencement of blowback from Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

European ISPs attack secret Acta copyright talks

Europe's ISP industry body has attacked a global copyright agreement, currently being negotiated in secret, that could lead to the disconnection of internet users who are accused of persistent copyright infringement.

The European ISP Association (EuroISPA) said in a statement on Monday that the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (Acta) threatened the openness of the internet and would not, in any case, be effective in fighting copyright infringement. The organisation also criticised the fact that citizens' representatives are not involved in the negotiations.

Lisbon Treaty: EU Takes Charge Of Britain

FAT cat Eurocrats celebrated a “shameful” new era of Brussels domination last night with a lavish ceremony and fireworks – all at the hard-pressed taxpayers’ expense.

New EU President Herman van Rompuy and Brussels chiefs toasted victory as the Lisbon Treaty, which moves vast swathes of power from Westminster, became law across the EU at midnight on Monday.

Mr van Rompuy and EU foreign affairs chief Baroness Cathy Ashton were among the EU bureaucrats who cheered the landmark occasion at a glittering ceremony and banquet in the Portuguese capital.

But in Britain, angry anti-EU critics declared that it signalled the end of our independence after the latest massive surrender of sovereignty to Brussels.

Van Rompuy wants the EU to run on CO2

Much of his wish list may have been drearily familiar ever since the Addenino report of 1985: more flying of the "ring of stars" flag, more singing of the "European anthem", EU number plates on cars, EU identity cards. But the one thing the EU has needed to make its powers complete, and which not even its Constitution could give, was the power to levy its own direct taxes. It is no accident that this is now at the top of Mr Van Rompouy's list – nor that the way in which he plans to raise those taxes is by levying new charges on every kind of activity that emits CO2.

Herman Van Rompuy: Europe's first president to push for 'Euro tax'

Within days of taking office in January, the former Belgian prime minister will put his weight behind controversial proposals already floated by the commission's head, José Manuel Barroso, for a new "Euro tax".

He will add credence to Mr Barroso's plans, to be formally tabled in the New Year, by arguing for a Euro-version of a "Tobin Tax" – a levy on financial transactions already floated by Gordon Brown as a solution to the international banking crisis. It would result in a stream of income direct to Brussels coffers, funding budgets that critics say are already rife with waste and overspending.

Zionist-Soviet EU Dissidents Face Charges Of Sedition, Possible Execution

The new post-Lisbon Soviet European Union is a deliberate construct of International Zionism. The modern jaundice-skinned Israelis, whom we already know are in no way related to the ancient People of the Land, the Palestinians (the true descendants of the Children of Israel), intend to rule Europe from Jerusalem. They, like Menachem Begin, a terrorist who participated in the 1946 murder of 91 British soldiers and civilians, insist that the body of an Ashkenazi (non-Semitic) ‘Jew’ is in every respect physiologically superior to that of all other races of the human species and claim special ‘Master Race’ status for themselves.

Nowadays,Brussels is celebrating the signing and ratification of the Lisbon Treaty, which has been long awaited. This treaty simplifies and consolidates the older treaties and also reforms a number of administrative issues related to voting and other aspects. However, most importantly this Treaty introduces a key post which is that of the President of the European Council.

President Sarkozy and Chancellor Merkel met in Paris to discuss this issue and agreed to support Mr. Blair to run for the EU presidency. Although Sarkozy and Merkel withdrew diplomatically from their previous full support to the British candidate, Blair remains one of the strong candidates for the post given the intensive support he is getting from the U.K.

Balfour Declaration
Statement issued by the British government in 1917, which is often seen as the initiation of the process leading to the establishment of the State of Israel.
Issuing of the statement is believed to have been motivated just as much by British interests, as by the sympathy for the Zionist cause. At the eve of the World War I Britain needed the support from the World Jewry, which had been neutral, and which represented a large part of the population of Germany and Austria-Hungary. The declaration was drafted with the help of US President, Woodrow Wilson, who was a strong supporter of Zionism.

SECRET plans to seize more than £4billion a year from Britain and make its citizens pay taxes direct to Europe emerged last night.

They would also mean Brussels being given the power to dip straight into taxpayers’ pockets.

Europe’s own surveillance state

As eloquently expressed in this forum before, the defence of our civil liberties is now a war on two fronts. While the UK government pushes ahead with new ways to stockpile our personal data and watch us at every street corner, the European Union is quietly getting on with establishing its very own Europe-wide version of the surveillance state.

Despite the stalwart efforts of groups such as Statewatch, most people, including in the media, have not yet woken up to this. Perhaps it is the sheer scale of the erosion of citizens’ freedom in the UK that leaves the majority numb to anti-privacy developments that are already well underway in Brussels.

Amsterdam - The needles used to vaccinate people against swineflu are blunt, says familydoctor Jan Takken in the online version of Medical Contact.

Chaos In The Snow As Winter Bites Early

DAYS of heavy snow have brought chaos, death and an early start to the skiing season to parts of Europe.

Skiers are being told they can expect a sensational season after three feet of snow led many Alpine resorts to open two weeks early.

But the unseasonably early cold snap also cut power to thousands of homes and caused at least three deaths.

Yesterday tour operators predicted that this winter could see record bookings – despite the recession.

Pistes are already open in Austria, and there has also been heavy snow in France, Italy and Switzerland. Similar early falls last year saw the best conditions in Europe for more than 20 years.

Nurses got sick from the "swine flu" vaccine in Sweden

Yesterday 30 people had been reporting to the authorities in Sweden that they experienced such severe side effects that they felt the need to contact a hospital. Today the number is 110. The swedish newspaper Expressen is the only one in Sweden reporting on these cases and as usual this is most likely only the tip of a rather large iceberg.

Even so, Annika Linde, director of The Swedish Institute for Infectious Disease Control (SMI) manages to spin this into something positive by stating "The vaccine has more side effects than the normal flu vaccine. It is a sign that proves that it gives an effective protection."

In 1999 NATO bombed Serbia with depleted uranium bombs, which caused a cancer outbreak in the region....There is a tendency: drug business blossoms in the NATO-controlled territories....Now that Kosovo has been proclaimed a United Nations-governed entity with its sovereign territory, nothing can prevent NATO from developing drug business there....In Afghanistan we see an absolutely unbelievable (at first sight) situation. The local drug traders also receive strong support from the alliance. DNA test shows Hitler skull is that of a woman

ADOLF Hitler may not have died in a bunker after fresh research suggests the skull thought to be the tyrant's was from a woman.

US archaeologist Nick Bellantoni found fragments from the skull believed to be Hitler's were too thin to be from a male, and suspected it was the remains of a much younger woman, The Sun reports.

"The bone seemed very thin - male bone tends to be more robust. It corresponds to a woman between the ages of 20 and 40," Dr Bellantoni said.

DNA tests performed in a US laboratory confirmed the remains could not have belonged to the Nazi leader.

EU Plans Massive Surveillance Panopticon That Would Monitor “Abnormal Behavior”

The European Union is developing a 21st century panopticon, a beast surveillance system that critics describe as “Orwellian,” “sinister,” and “positively chilling,” that would collate data from numerous sources, including surveillance cameras and personal computers, in order to detect “abnormal behavior” across the entire continent.

In a broader sense, this is part of the move towards creating a pan-European federal police force, where information and powers are shared as part of a centralized system. It is also a giant step towards the creation of a European CIA tasked not with keeping tabs on foreign enemies, but spying on its own population.

Doubt and anger over carbon tax

THE ANNONCEMENT that taxe carbone will be set at €17 a tonne has been met with strong criticism on how much it will cost to enforce and whether it will work.

It will not apply to electricity.

Europe’s Complicity in Evil

Address to Mut zur Ethik Conference, "Sovereignty or Imperialism," Feldkirch, Austria, September 5, 2009

There is a widespread supposition that Obama, being black and a member of an oppressed race, will imbue US foreign policy with a higher morality than the world experienced from Bush and Clinton. This is a delusion.

Obama represents the same ideology of American "exceptionalism" as other recent presidents. This ideology designates the United States as The Virtuous Nation and supplies the basis for the belief that America has the right, indeed the responsibility, to impose its hegemony upon the world by bribery or by force. The claim of American exceptionalism produces a form of patriotism that blinds the US population to the immorality of America’s wars of aggression.

Don't Criticize Israel, You Anti-Semite

According to the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, the definition of anti-Semitism is, "hostility towards or discrimination against Jews as a religious, ethnic or racial group." This should strike everyone as odd, since Jews are hardly the only Semitic people roaming this earth. Most oddly enough, we Arabs are also a Semitic people who speak a Semitic language, unlike many Jews who do not.

Still, over the years, for whatever reason, the term "anti-Semitic" has been reserved exclusively for attacks on Jews, the range of which has become dangerously broad. While this is an age-old issue, so to speak, the recent Swedish-Israeli crisis has brought it back to the fore like never before.

Jewish, sadistic hate film promoted to the world while true story of Jewish revenge hidden

Introductory Commentary by David Duke – The main co-star of Inglourious Basterds, Eli Roth, is shown holding the baseball bat that he uses to bash out the brains of captured (and defenseless) German soldiers. Roth joyously calls this Weinstein Bros. production that glorifies torture, sadism, scalping and burning alive of Germans as “Jewish Porn” and “orgiastic.” Roth’s previous claim to fame were his movies Cabin Fever and Hostel, both of which promoted extreme sexual sadism and torture against both women and men, including the graphic cutting off of sexual organs.

Did Hitler Want War?

On Sept. 1, 1939, 70 years ago, the German Army crossed the Polish frontier. On Sept. 3, Britain declared war.

Six years later, 50 million Christians and Jews had perished. Britain was broken and bankrupt, Germany a smoldering ruin. Europe had served as the site of the most murderous combat known to man, and civilians had suffered worse horrors than the soldiers.

By May 1945, Red Army hordes occupied all the great capitals of Central Europe: Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Berlin. A hundred million Christians were under the heel of the most barbarous tyranny in history: the Bolshevik regime of the greatest terrorist of them all, Joseph Stalin.

What cause could justify such sacrifices?

Germany: Terror Plot Emerges as Secret Service Game

It was announced as a terror plot busted. German police had captured three young Muslim men in the small village Medebach-Oberschledor, some 450 km southwest of Berlin Sep. 4 in 2007. The police declared they had seized 730 kilograms of hydrogen peroxide, enough to make 550 kg of explosives....
But now, the case has ceased to be "the serious terrorist threat" it was called. It is now a mysterious puzzle of secret service games, prosecutors' alarmism spread by the media, and basic failures of justice.

Dostoyevsky on the Jewish Question

Fyodor Dostoyevsky left us a prophecy of the threat to Christian civilization by emancipated Jewry.

In his book, Diary Of A Writer, published in 1877, Dostoevsky penned a journal entry entitled "The Jewish Question." With alarming and frightening foresight, by which he penetrated into today’s events, Dostoevsky predicted a growing domination over social and political affairs by the Jews with their newly acquired rights:

“The Jews look forward to world domination. This requires them to maintain their own close-knit identity. If the Jews are given equal legal rights in Russia, but are allowed to keep their ‘State within a State,’ they would be more privileged than the Russians. The consequences of this situation are already clear in Europe.”

Col. Sam Gardiner notes, in an interview with Amy Goodman on Democracy Now, Russia has deployed tactical nuclear weapons to South Ossetia. However, this move does indicate Russia is potentially upping the game from a conventional weapons war to a tactical nuclear More..weapons war. The Plot To Destroy The US Dollar

PLOTTING THE DESTRUCTION OF THE US DOLLAR and the weakening of its role as the reserve-currency in the global market, was the underlying agenda of the Bilderberg Group, which convened its most ominous meeting to date in Greece on May 14-17, 2009.

According to an alleged Kremlin report, (and it’s believable), the shadowy Bilderberg Group - made up of financial, political and corporate elite - emerged from their conclave after coming to an agreement that in order to continue their drive towards a New World Order dominated by the Western powers, the US dollar had to be destroyed.

Hillary Out to Strong-Arm Swiss

First we attacked Afghanistan. Then we attacked Iraq. Now the U.S. has it sights set on Switzerland.

Peaceful, neutral Switzerland? That's right. What's the crime? It's not sponsoring terrorism or harboring weapons of mass destruction. No, in the eyes of the U.S. government, Switzerland has done far worse: it's kept money out of the hands of the Internal Revenue Service, money to which the IRS may not even be entitled under any law anywhere.

The U.S. and Switzerland are headed for a diplomatic showdown as the IRS demands that Swiss bank UBS turn over the names of 52,000 U.S. clients in the mere hope of exposing them as tax evaders, prosecuting them and taking their cash.

Fewer Africans risk perilous journeys amid crisis, crackdown on immigrants

The boats used to arrive on Spain's Canary Islands almost daily, rickety vessels crammed with Africans hoping for a better life in Europe, and willing to risk a perilous journey at sea to get here.

Hundreds more are believed to have died each year, swallowed up anonymously by the choppy waters off Africa's coast. But experts say the numbers have dwindled dramatically this year, in large part because the global economic crisis is putting a damper on migrants' dreams of a better life.

Ahead of Germany’s upcoming general elections, officials warn against premature announcements of alleged poll results by Twitter subscribers.

Egeler and other German officials suggested that in the event of such an incident, many would feel free to contest the official results.

The overwhelming Jewish presence behind the scenes as interrogators, jailers and torturers is covered elsewhere in Irving's excellent, but far from complete, study. That is the key point in evaluating Nuremberg. All the evidence, real and faked at the great trial, was evidence in pursuit of a pre-determined verdict.

German MPs reject Steinmeier’s sanction against Iran

Lawmakers of all parties in German Parliament, except the co-ruling Social Democrats (SPD), slammed Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier for planning to step up sanctions over Iran’s nuclear program, the daily Der Tagesspiegel said Wednesday.

Legislators of the co-governing Christian Democratic Union (CDU) as well as the opposition Free Democratic Party (FDP) and Greens warned that Steinmeier’s new sanction threats would undermine any diplomatic progress in resolving the impasse over Tehran’s nuclear program.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Tehran's "Nuclear Program" is a power station, an activity allowed under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Nobody has found any evidence that Iran is covertly building nuclear weapons underneath their reactor the way Israel is known to be doing underneath Dimona.

Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier is pro-Zionist, a hard core supporter of Israel, and is indeed openly of the opinion that Germany's role on the Holocaust means that present day Germans (who had not even been born when WW2 happened) must do what Israel says.

But here is the problem. Israel was saying that Iraq was also secretly building nuclear weapons underneath the power station at Osirik, as Israel does underneath Dimona. Israel bombed Osirik. Following the 2003 invasion international inspectors looked at the riuns and confirmed that there had never been any secret weapons laboratory at Osirik, as Israel has underneath Dimona.

So, why should present day Germans, most of whom were not alive during WW2 and therefore do not bear any responsibility for what happened under the Nazis, obey the will of a foreign power who is so often totally wrong as it flings death and destruction onto its neighbors?

The news from Europe, if you listen to our infatuated media, is that the Euros love President Obama: according to the American reportage, his recent trip there was a cavalcade of photo-ops, cheering crowds, and hugs from the queen of England. Even the French were in awe of him! However, if you look beneath the surface, not that far beneath the gloss and the glam there runs a current of irritation, and, dare I say it, resentment.

Nato 60th summit in Strasbourg marred by street battles and arson

Buildings were set on fire and running battles were fought between protesters and riot police in the streets of Strasbourg, where Barack Obama and world leaders have gathered for a Nato summit.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The protesters are smart enough to know that NATO exists to make war with Russia, and if the US invades Iran, war with Russia is inevitable.

They know that unless they choose to fight against the war mongers now, they will soon have no choice but to fight for them from now on.

They have chosen to fight now.

Austrian Bank Scion Is Accused of Fraud

Prosecutors accused Mr. Meinl of artificially bolstering shares of the real estate company Meinl European Land on the Vienna stock exchange, even as its investments in real estate across Eastern and Central Europe cratered.

Mr. Meinl was able to raise bail of 100 million euros ($135 million), and was released Friday morning. Although formal charges have not yet been brought, prosecutors feared Mr. Meinl might flee because he holds dual Austrian and British citizenship and because he owns a Falcon jet that he flies himself.

Sarkozy, Merkel Frozen in the Cold War

This is a sad time for France and the rest of Europe. French President Nicolas Sarkozy has decided – without asking the French Parliament and against the majority of the French people – that France must be reintegrated as a military power into NATO’s command. This is not only a coup d’etat, it is also the most reactionary choice you could imagine. In trying to pull it off, Sarkozy is swimming against deep and forceful historical currents in Europe. In doing so, he may be bringing some comfort to the transatlantic elites, but it will be short-lived, because the peoples of Europe will resist the arbitrary will of their governments.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The people of Europe recognize that this ramp up of NATO is the preparation for WW3, which will be used to redraw the maps, while thinning out the "useless eaters."

The New York Times Sarah Lyall TROLLHATTAN, Sweden — Saab Automobile may be just another crisis-ridden car company in an industry full of them. But just as the fortunes of Flint, Mich., are permanently entangled with General Motors, so it is impossible to find anyone in this city in southwest Sweden who is not somehow connected to Saab.

Struggling for its own survival, G.M. has said it will completely pull out of Saab by the end of 2009, a course that Ms. Olofsson, the enterprise minister, described as tantamount to declaring “that they wash their hands of Saab and drop it into the laps of the Swedish taxpayers.”

Cities have had days without heat or water because they cannot pay their bills, and Kiev’s subway service is being threatened. Emmely's ascent to nationwide stardom has been dramatic. Even before Tuesday's court date, major papers across Germany carried long features telling her story. The mass-circulation tabloid Bild even put the veteran cashier, who has been working cash registers for 31 years, on its cover. The tone was clear: At a time when fat cats of the financial world have escaped relatively unscathed despite bringing the global economy to its knees, a common grocery store clerk loses her job for a few coins. Emmely quickly came to be seen as a martyr of class conflict.

The West's economy really is at the edge of a leveraged disaster. The politicians know only one answer: deficit spending. The central bankers have only on significant tool: monetary inflation. The speed of events is increasing.

Eastern Europe is about to blow. If it does, it could take much of the EU with it. It's an emergency situation but there are no easy solutions. Finance ministers and central bankers are running in circles trying to put out one fire after another. Its only a matter of time before they are overtaken by events. If one country is allowed to default, the dominoes could begin to tumble through the whole region. This could trigger dramatic changes in the political landscape. The rise of fascism is no longer out of the question.

Europe’s winter of discontent

A hurried resolution to the Ukraine-Russia gas war was reached during a visit to Moscow by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko to meet with her Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin this week. Ukraine finally agreed to pay higher European prices for Russian gas in 2010, after a 20 percent discount in 2009.

This accord came in the wake of sharp criticism of Ukraine by European leaders and Putin’s first official visit to Germany as prime minister, where he presented a more ambitious long-term solution to the unending troubles with Ukraine that have left European countries without winter fuel more than once. His proposal involves leading European energy companies forming a consortium with Russia’s Gazprom to ensure that Russian supplies reach their destination.

Russian gas begins to flow into wary Europe

Siberian gas started flowing into the EU yesterday, ending the bitter dispute between Russia and Ukraine that shredded both countries' reputations as fuel suppliers and left Europe desperately seeking to shift its energy policies away from dependence on Russian monopolies.

A new 10-year deal on gas pricing and transit between the Russian and Ukrainian state gas firms, Gazprom and Naftogaz, saw Russia pumping the gas through Ukraine's pipelines to Slovakia in the EU while Kiev allowed the fuel to flow without interruption.

The resumption of supplies appeared to end the worst, so far, of a series of disputes of distinctly political hue between Russia and its former Soviet underling, Ukraine.

A moment before, the Italian was trying to make coach drivers parking in front of his house turn their engines off. - ‘Israelis handcuffed me, threw me on the ground, my face landed in dog excrement, and then they were kicking me’.
