Margaret Sanger and Eugenics Publishing Company

My Mom just gave me an original 1920 edition of the book, Woman and the New Race, by Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood. Mom found it in a box of books owned by my deceased great-uncle.
It was in this book Sanger wrote, “The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it,” which has come to be one of the banes of pro-abort existence, forcing them to spend an inordinate amount of time trying to say now really, Sanger did not support eugenics.

At any rate, I was looking on ebay to see if the book was worth anything and discovered that while this first edition was published by Truth Publishing Company, the 1923 edition was published by Eugenics Publishing Company.

Photographer Wants To Open Your Eyes To The Brutal Realities Of The American Prison Complex

When discussing the contemporary state of the prison industrial complex in America, the numbers are frightening. The personal stories, however, are far more horrific. In the month of July alone, at least five black women were found dead in jail. There are numerous tales of grisly murders, suicides, rapes, beatings, and prisoners being denied medication and proper medical treatment, dying as a result. Each story is more chilling than the last.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The penal system in this country doesn't work at all, and it is by design.

More recidivism guarantees more money to keep a brutally dysfunctional system in place.

Please remember: in Sweden, they are closing many of their prisons because they don't have enough prisoners to house, and this is not by accident.

The Swedish penal system focuses completely on rehabilitation, so that when released from a Swedish prison, that former prisoner can take their place in society.

CENTCOM Document Reveals Coalition's Hidden Civilian Carnage in Syria and Iraq

The previously-secret 14-page file offers a rare insight into internal military workings of the U.S.-led coalition and makes clear they have long known of significant allegations of civilians killed in some 6,500 airstrikes – far more than the two deaths presently admitted to. (Image: via Airwars.org) A newly-declassified CENTCOM document – published by Airwars and international media partners for the first time on Thursday – reveals that by early May of this year, the anti-ISIL Coalition had already internally investigated dozens of events involving at least 325 possible civilian deaths from airstrikes in Iraq and Syria. Yet despite often significant published evidence of civilians killed in Coalition strikes, most allegations were dismissed as “Not credible” within 48 hours – with few signs of later follow-ups.

Western Supported Israeli State Terror

I guess the evidence-less rockets that damage nothing was getting old.

snip: Again pre-dawn on Thursday. Israeli warplanes terror bombed a Hamas al-Qassam Brigades Falasteen military site. Fabricated pretexts are used to justify IDF aggression - this time claiming gunshots from Gaza.

True or false doesn’t matter. Israel uses any incident to justify attacking Hamas - launching air and ground attacks, using heavy weapons, often killing and/or wounding civilians.

Gunshots in US communities occur often. Would Washington be justified in launching air or ground attacks in response? In Israel, it’s standard procedure - unaccountable bandit acts.

Whither The Economy?

snip: To sum up, the One Percent have enriched themselves at the expense of the economy’s potential and everyone else.

Where does the economy stand at the present time, a question on many of your minds? I am not a seer. Nevertheless, various things are obvious. In the US consumer demand is constrained by high debt and the absence of growth in real median family income. Evidence of the constrained US consumer shows up in lackluster real retail sales and in year-over-year declines in factory orders. On September 2, Zero Hedge reported that factory orders had fallen for 9 consecutive months.

Your "Duty" to Protect and Serve the Police

snip: Beck hasn’t yet urged Americans to act as human shields on behalf of the heavily armed, body armor-clad functionaries who are supposedly paid to protect them. Some police union officials haven’t shied away from suggesting that the public has a moral duty to protect the police, despite the fact that police have no reciprocal obligation to protect individuals threatened with criminal violence.

Residents of Huntsville, Alabama who declined to intervene to help a police officer subdue a suspect could face criminal prosecution undera state statute requiring them to assist an officer in trouble. Had the situation been reversed, however, police officers would face neither criminal nor civil prosecution for declining to aid a citizen under assault by a suspect.

The Israeli parliament has passed a law banning journalists working for the country's public broadcast authority from expressing their opinions on air.

The law, passed early Thursday in the middle of the night, drew criticism from journalists, who accused the government of trying to stifle dissent.

The Israel Press Council urged parliament to cancel the law, saying it violates free speech.

‘West creates refugees by destroying Islamic nations’ – Chechen leader

The head of Russia’s Chechen Republic claims the current asylum seeker crisis in European countries originated in the aggressive policies of the United States and the EU. He also called upon all Muslim nations to jointly fight the root of the problem.

“If today no one rises against the inhumane policies of the Western countries, tomorrow the disaster may come to any Muslim country. I call upon you to urgently discuss this problem, to develop a unified position and to save the lives of thousands of people.
Europe and the USA are not simply refusing to act, they instigate the tragedies of millions of people by destroying the economy of Islamic countries and starting wars in Muslim regions of the world, he added.

Federal law enforcement agencies of America: prepare to get your Stingray house in order. The DOJ has just issued itsofficial guidance for Stingray use and it's full of stipulations that won't make the FBI, DEA or any other participant in a federal investigation very happy.

The seven-page document opens by reminding readers that Stingrays are used for Very Important Work (fugitive apprehension, recovery of kidnapped children, narcotics investigations, etc.). And certainly this is true. But they're also used to hunt down people suspected of misdemeanor theft and used regularly in other non-critical law enforcement work.

After that, it gets to the new rules for Stingray use. Casual use and concerted cover-ups are no longer allowed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Just because the DOJ has come down with this ruling is no reason to believe that the various US intelligence and law enforcement agencies will actually comply; and just what, pray tell, is the penalty for non-compliance, other than having their cases potentially thrown out of court?!?

Will Uncle Sam Confiscate Gold Again?

There are growing concerns internationally that in the event of another Wall Street or global stock market crash and a new systemic crisis – a Eurozone debt crisis or another Lehman Brothers collapse – there could be enforced bank closures or extended bank holidays in the EU and U.S. as seen in Greece recently.

The New York Times

In this scenario, deposit boxes and vaults in U.S. banks and financial institutions could be sealed and gold confiscated again.

There is a legal precedent for this. April 5th, 1933 – at the height of the Great Depression – was the day when U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt instructed all American citizens to hand over all their gold coins and bars to the Federal Government.

Every coin, bar and certificate had to be handed in to Roosevelt’s government or else one would face a very large fine of $10,000 or 10 years in jail. That is whopping fine of $180,000 fine in today’s money.

When William Staatholder came over from the Netherlands to England to become William III, the first thing he did (well, one of the first things), was to charter a central bank in 1694. It's actually much more complicated than that, but that will have to do for now. That bank was, of course, the Bank of England which, like the American Federal Reserve, was a private company with a monopoly on the nation's credit. Unlike the Federal Reserve, the Old Lady of Theadneedle was nationalized in 1946.

So what's the purpose of this all-too-brief history lesson on central Banksters? Well, it's this intriguing article shared by Mr. G.B., who spotted it on the Old Lady of Threadneedle's website. Yes, the Bank of England has a website, and the mind boggles: what would Montagu Norman think of that? Well, most likely, Norman, who just loved the secrecy of central banking (along with his bosom buddy, Hjalmar Schacht), would be spinning in his grave. Anyway, here's the article:

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Bank of England had to be nationalized in 1946 because up until WW2 the British Pound had been the accepted global trade and banking currency. Roosevelt's price to bring the US into WW2 (using the Pearl Harbor deception) was that Churchill had to agree to surrender the Pound's position as the global currency and allow the US dollar to take its place. The Bank of England, as dependent on the Pound's global status as the FED is on the dollar's, was soon headed for collapse, as Private Central Banks are actually very lousy at regular banking. The Second Bank of the United States, following the revocation of its charter by President Andrew Jackson, tried to operate as a regular bank and collapsed in just 5 years.

Undercover FBI agents spy on Burning Man festival to prevent 'terrorism' and test out new 'intelligence collection' technology

The FBI has admitted to gathering secret intelligence about the annual Burning Man festival since 2010.

In response to a request under the 2012 Freedom of Information Act, the security service said its Special Events Management unit has kept files on festival-goers, known as 'burners' - to 'aid in the prevention of terrorist activites and intelligence collection'.

But the FBI's 16-page response to the question by Inkoo Kang is heavily redacted, with information about the technology being used to secretly gather the information being blanked out.

The revelation comes as the 29th Burning Man takes place in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada.

Government puts Nauru aid money on hold

The New Zealand government has put aid money for Nauru's justice sector on hold for what Foreign Minister Murray McCully said was Nauru's failure to address concerns over the rule of law.

Mr McCully said the $1.2 million annual funding for Nauru's justice department was due to roll over at the end of August but that had been put on hold.

The funding was put under review in July after international concerns about civil rights abuses in Nauru following a change of Government in 2013 including the expulsion of key members of the judiciary, suspension of Opposition MPs and arrests of those who took part in a protest.

Mr McCully said he was assured by Nauru's Justice Minister David Adeang last year that the government would work to restore confidence in the justice system but that had not happened.

'Antipsychotics used on people with no mental illness diagnosis'

Charities and campaign groups have long warned that elderly people – such as those with dementia – should not be treated with antipsychotic drugs unless they have a severe mental illness. This study showed that older people were also more likely to be prescribed an antipsychotic.

This study can't tell us why people with learning disabilities were prescribed antipsychotic drugs when they didn't have a severe mental illness. The authors suggest the drugs are being used to manage challenging behaviour.

Global Capitalism and the Culture of Mad Violence

Are we disposable? snip: Under neoliberalism, politics becomes an extension of war and those populations that do not contribute or buy into the notion that the only value that matters is exchange value are viewed as either useless or a threat to the ruling elites. One consequence is that within this new historical conjuncture, the practice of disposability expands to include more and more individuals and groups who have been considered redundant, consigned to zones of abandonment, surveillance, and mass incarceration. [...]
the politics of disposability highlights a form of global capitalism in which the financial elite live in an immune culture of self-regulation and personal enrichment, whether they are the corrupt hedge fund managers and bankers who caused the recent economic crisis, CIA operatives who tortured people and were not prosecuted, or the police in the US who have made a sport out of assaulting and killing Black men, and for the most part are acquitted of their crimes.

Zero-Hours, Zero Powers

DAVID CAMERON’S shameless pretence of leading “the real party of working people” is exploded by the runaway rise of zero-hours employment.

Almost three-quarters of a million people are now languishing on these abusive contracts, not knowing from week to week how many hours they will get or what their income will be — a rise of a fifth in a single year.

And those are just the Office for National Statistics figures.

As Labour leadership frontrunner Jeremy Corbyn notes, these stats are just “the tip of the iceberg,” both because zero-hours contracts are not the only form of underemployment stalking the workforce and because the ONS survey may actually be understating the problem.

Psychiatrists drugging children for “social justice”

It’s the latest thing. Psychiatrists are now giving children in poor neighborhoods Adderall, a dangerous stimulant, by making false diagnoses of ADHD, or no diagnoses at all. Their aim? To “promote social justice,” to improve academic performance in school.

The rationale is, the drugged kids will now be able to compete with children from wealthier families who attend better schools.

Leading the way is Dr. Michael Anderson, a pediatrician in the Atlanta area. Incredibly, Anderson told the New York Times his diagnoses of ADHD are “made up,” “an excuse” to hand out the drugs.

“We’ve decided as a society that it’s too expensive to modify the kid’s environment. So we have to modify the kid,” Anderson said.

It would be hard to find a clearer mission statement from a psychiatrist: mind control.

Dominionism Takes Center Stage in America

Did you stop to wonder how the political arena in the US got so top heavy with fundamentalist Christians? Indeed, as the social fabric began to fray under the multiplicity of stressors associated with modernization, a parallel movement of “back to fundamentals” began to emerge in all three Abrahamic religions. It is not only Islam that has birthed its own variety of fundamentalism. Orthodox synagogues are seeing a swelling of congregations, and a new strain of Christianity, which is both fiercely political as well as militant in its promotion of theocracy has emerged as a potent force on the American scene.

Christian Reconstructionism (CR) has been called “the American Taliban.”

How The Trans-Agenda Seeks To Redefine Everyone

Did you think only women get pregnant? Or only women get abortions? Planned Parenthood and NARAL—ironically both pro-abortion organizations that self-identify as champions of women’s rights—may soon be trying to change your mind about that.
It’s About Control, Not Rights

The transgender movement has strong totalitarian overtones that Americans (especially certain senators) don’t fully understand. How else to describe a crusade with such far-reaching consequences for First Amendment rights? The legal destruction of gender distinctions will inevitably dissolve family autonomy, thereby uprooting freedom of association. Free expression becomes “hate speech” if one doesn’t fall into line with the directives of the transgender lobby or its pronoun protocol. Freedom of religion takes a direct hit any way you look at it.

The US Opens New Fronts of Confrontation

To understand the essence of the problem, it is necessary to look at recent history. The ongoing crisis which began in 2007 came to China much weaker than Russia, Europe, and the US. China’s economic growth slowed down, but that’s it. Even the collapse in 2009 did not cause a recession. The Chinese government quickly switched the economy towards the domestic market, stimulating it by accelerating the growth of the population’s incomes. Between 2007 and 2015, the minimum salary in the country increased by almost 2.5 times. Its annual growth was 11-15%. Throughout industry as a whole, wages increased almost three times. In fact, the global crisis, started by the US in 2007, didn’t affect China. On the contrary, it has become stronger in relation to its competitors. And it was necessary to do something about this...

The West Point Professor Who Contemplated a Coup

On Monday, West Point law professor William C. Bradford resigned after The Guardian reported that he had allegedly inflated his academic credentials. Bradford made headlines last week, when the editors of the National Security Law Journal denounced a controversial article by him in their own summer issue:

As the incoming Editorial Board, we want to address concerns regarding Mr. Bradford’s contention that some scholars in legal academia could be considered as constituting a fifth column in the war against terror; his interpretation is that those scholars could be targeted as unlawful combatants. The substance of Mr. Bradford’s article cannot fairly be considered apart from the egregious breach of professional decorum that it exhibits. We cannot “unpublish” it, of course, but we can and do acknowledge that the article was not presentable for publication when we published it, and that we therefore repudiate it with sincere apologies to our readers.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Good! What he was suggesting would have made an absolute mockery of the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

But don't think for a millisecond that this guy won't be scooped up in the waiting buzzard wings of the Neocons; I suspect we haven't heard the last from this guy, and not by a long shot.

Texas police bash ‘unethical’ news station for airing video of cops killing unarmed suspect

Texas police upset that a local news station aired footage of Bexar County Sheriff’s deputies fatally shooting a man with hands up want the public to express outrage — at the news station.

Gilbert Flores, 41, can be seen in the cell phone video aired by KSAT standing outside his San Antonio-area home during a domestic violence call. He raises his hands over his head then abruptly crumples to the ground after he is apparently shot by deputies.

“They just cold-blooded shot that [expletive],” the man holding the camera says.

Both the county D.A. and the sheriff’s office have opened investigations into the shooting. Both deputies, Greg Vasquez and Robert Sanchez, are on paid administrative leave, KSAT reports.

But the Bexar County Sheriff’s Department is angry about the news station’s decision to air the entire video, which also appears to show officers handcuffing Flores’ lifeless body.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Memo to the Commissioner of the Bexar Police Department; if you taught police restraint, and how to diffuse, or talk down a potentially dangerous situation, you wouldn't have this kind of footage to deal with in the first place.

But please, don't you dare condemn the messenger!

This happened; it was real; deal with it.

??North Dakota students may or may not learn about the first 100 years of America’s history.
Important topics like the Declaration of Independence, the Revolutionary War and the framing of the U.S. Constitution may simply be ignored by teachers under new history standards approved by the state’s board of education last Monday, the Argus Leader reports.

Current standards do not allow history teachers to delve into topics before the Civil War, so the new standards open up the door but don’t require teachers to cover early American history, as many would have preferred. The recently adopted history standards are set to take effect in 2016-17 school year and whittle the current standards from 117 pages to 44.

“Our current history standards do not even give an option as to whether it’s comprehensive or modern,” board president Don Kirkegaard told the news site. “It’s strictly modern.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is insane, and an insult to our history; it means that the reasons our country was founded just won't be taught, just in case these students might want to look at the situations in British government at that time, and compare it to the situations we see in US government today.

Heaven forbid that they should indulge in such a thing, and might be able to use critical thinking to come to a logical conclusion here!!

At least 300 high-ranking sheriffs and police from agencies large and small – from New York and Maine to Orange County and Oakland, California – have traveled to Israel for privately funded seminars in what is described as counterterrorism techniques.

Former U.S. Capitol Police Chief Terrance W. Gainer called Israel “the Harvard of antiterrorism” after taking part in a 2005 trip sponsored by the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA). Capt. Brad Virgoe of the Orange County Sheriff's Department in California called the 2013 session he took part in an “amazing experience,” recalling visits to checkpoints in Eilat at the Israeli-Egyptian border and in the West Bank near Bethlehem.

Don't forget what happened in Ferguson! The Ferguson police chief was trained in Israel!

CA Department of Public Health Takes “See No Evil, Hear No Evil" Approach to Nursing Home Abuse

In a disgraceful last minute effort to kill AB 348 (Brown) – a CANHR sponsored bill that would have set timelines for investigations of abuse and neglect cases reported by nursing homes – the California Department of Public Health continued a long tradition of siding with perpetrators of abuse against their victims by taking an official position opposing the bill. As a result, this critical bill died in the Senate Appropriations Committee.

The Department receives thousands of reports of suspected abuse and neglect from nursing homes each year and often puts the most serious cases of mistreatment on the bottom of its investigation file. Some investigations are delayed for years, leaving residents at risk and sending a terrible message to operators and the public that abuse and neglect are tolerated. AB 348 was introduced to fix this problem by requiring the Department to complete investigations within 60 days beginning in July 2018.

TIGTA: IRS Could Not Verify 40% Of $15 Billion Of Affordable Care Act Tax Credits Due To Lack Of Data From Health Insurance Exchanges

Because of incomplete and unreported data from the Exchanges, the IRS is unable to ensure that taxpayers claiming the PTC purchased insurance through an Exchange and properly reconciled APTCs received. However, the IRS has developed processes to identify erroneous PTC claims. Our review of these processes identified that 79 of the 80 reject code conditions and 16 of the 20 PTC error codes were working as intended. Computer programming errors resulted in the reject and PTC error codes not always identifying tax returns with the particular error condition. The IRS plans to make programming corrections.

Ethnic activist and “Constitutional crusader” Glenn Greenwald demands lawlessness on immigration

I write this piece with a heavy heart. As I have previously written, I have long held a great deal of respect for the lawyer, constitutional expert, and brilliant polemicist Glenn Greenwald. Seen from Europe, his articulate defense of civil liberties and a peaceful foreign policy presented a tantalizing alternative of another America to that of the swaggering, neoconservative-dominated administration of George W. Bush. But, as time goes on, the evidence mounts that Greenwald is marked by ethnic biases, conscious or not, which lead him to engage in vicious attacks against Anglo-American identities and, most seriously, to condone illegal immigration that is enormously threatening to the traditional peoples of the West.

The Production of Evil (an op-ed from Russia)

If you can't unite your subjects by serving their common interests, you can do it using a common enemy. And if this common enemy doesn't exist—no problem, you can create one with your own hands. You can give it the opportunity to grow up, give it weapons, grant it immunity and release it into the world.

The most important thing in such a creation is that it must be horrible. It must be self-evidently horrible. So horrible that everyone—even the idiots—could understand that this—this thing covered in blood, holding a torn-off human leg in its hand—is the only alternative to having the United States of America in complete control of everything. That burning people alive, mass executions, beheadings, sanctioned rapes—this is the only alternative to gay marriage, feminism, total surveillance of everyone and extraterritorial American “justice.”

The western establishment is nurturing ISIS like an attack dog, feeding it, training it to like human blood, in order to then release it and offer people the freedom of choice: you can die in its teeth, or you can hide behind a gate, the keys to which are in the hands of global capitalism......

What a bunch of bird brains! Council threatens pensioner with £2,500 littering fine after taking secret photos of her feeding birds in local park

Over-zealous council bosses threatened a pensioner with a £2,500 fine for littering - after they took secret pictures of her feeding BIRDS in her local park.

Janet Tomlinson, 72, has fed the sparrows and blue-tits in her park for 31 years but she has now been banned from doing so after officials claimed it encouraged rats.

Webmaster's Commentary:

They say the same thing here in Hawaii.

Side note. Many years ago the Hawaii guvummunt decided to do something about the Polynesian Rats who arrived here in the voyaging canoes. So they imported the Mongoose figuring the species would fight and reduce each others' population. Except that Mongooses are active in the day while rats are nocturnal, so the two species rarely meet. As a result, Hawaii has TWO pest populations instead of one.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

9.Come half-clean. This is also known as "confession and avoidance" or "taking the limited hangout route." This way, you create the impression of candor and honesty while you admit only to relatively harmless, less-than-criminal "mistakes." This stratagem often requires the embrace of a fall-back position quite different from the one originally taken. With effective damage control, the fall-back position need only be peddled by stooge skeptics to carefully limited markets.

5.Call the skeptics names like "conspiracy theorist," "nutcase," "ranter," "kook," "crackpot," and, of course, "rumor monger." Be sure, too, to use heavily loaded verbs and adjectives when characterizing their charges and defending the "more reasonable" government and its defenders. You must then carefully avoid fair and open debate with any of the people you have thus maligned. For insurance, set up your own "skeptics" to shoot down.

For Progressives, First Amendment Comes in Second

Progressive America is troubled. Some of its leading lights fret that if something is not done soon, government will actually need a good reason to censor other people's speech.

Such is the ominous upshot of a seemingly minor Supreme Court case that could have "far-reaching consequences," as The New York Times put it recently.

The case (Reed v. Town of Gilbert) concerned a sign ordinance in Gilbert, Ariz., that imposed tighter restrictions on church signs than on political ones. The entire Supreme Court said that was ridiculous, and struck the measure down. Government cannot blithely discriminate against certain speech or speakers based on content.

Spying programs turning US into a fascist state: Analyst

The inadequate judicial oversight of the US spying programs is leading the country toward a “type of fascist state,” says a former American intelligence linguist from Orlando.

The federal court monitoring the spying operations issued the final order on Friday permitting the National Security Agency (NSA) to collect millions of Americans’ phone records.

The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) ruled that the bulk data collection program does not violate Americans' privacy rights.

The secretive court contended that the program concerns the metadata of US citizens, which entails the numbers people dial in a phone call, the length of the call and when it takes place. Metadata does not include the actual contents of a phone conversation.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence announced on Friday that the collected data “will not be used or accessed for any other purpose” other than an ongoing legal battle over the program.

That part definitely seems like it stepped over the legal line. But, the rest of the charges against him seem… like a teenager using Twitter and other social media to discuss stuff he’s interested in. Amin ran a Twitter account called @AmreekiWitness, which had about 4,000 followers. He tweeted pro-ISIS propaganda, but that still seems to be a form of protected speech, last I checked. And, his big “crime” appears to be linking to an article about why ISIS supporters should use Bitcoin.

West Point professor calls on US military to target legal critics of war on terror

An assistant professor in the law department of the US military academy at West Point has argued that legal scholars critical of the war on terrorism represent a “treasonous” fifth column that should be attacked as enemy combatants.

In a lengthy academic paper, the professor, William C Bradford, proposes to threaten “Islamic holy sites” as part of a war against undifferentiated Islamic radicalism. That war ought to be prosecuted vigorously, he wrote, “even if it means great destruction, innumerable enemy casualties, and civilian collateral damage”.

Other “lawful targets” for the US military in its war on terrorism, Bradford argues, include “law school facilities, scholars’ home offices and media outlets where they give interviews” – all civilian areas, but places where a “causal connection between the content disseminated and Islamist crimes incited” exist.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As a Christian pacifist, who NEVER advocates violence, but thinks that humankind is smart enough to resolve geopolitical issues through good faith negotiations and not war, does that approach make me your enemy, sir?!?

Because, if your answer would be an unequivocal "Absolutely", I fear we have lost all reason in this country, and we are slouching toward a world war of unimaginable pain, genocide, and destruction.

Sir, it appears that your understanding of history, and human nature, is flawed in the extreme, and if West Point believes that you thoroughly embodies its values with what you are saying, this country, and its future, are in deep trouble.

First, let's remember what the late President Kennedy said so eloquently: "when peaceful revolution is impossible, violent revolution is inevitable."

What, Mr. Bradford, causes a person to become radicalized?!? Does a person become radicalized because they have meaningful work and are making a decent living; know that their wife will get great prenatal care at the local clinic; have decent schools for their kids to attend, and actually have a voice in their government's process, and some control over their own destiny?!?

Or is it that governmental corruption, poverty and despair have taken over their lives; that their kids are constantly getting sick from having to drink filthy water; that they have no say in whatever their government does, and they can be horrifically persecuted for speaking out against an oppressive regime?!? Radicalization becomes attractive when it appears to be the only possible path to survival.

I am not advocating violence here, sir: I am advocating logic.

And unfortunately, logic and US foreign policy do not seem to have had a great, ongoing relationship in many years.

The US government has supported innumerable tinpot dictators around the world, then wonder why these governments are ultimately bashed to smithereens, ultimately, by a very angry citizenry.

Look at what ultimately happened to Batista in Cuba, or the US-supported Shah of Iran.

And also unfortunately, the US is still doing the same thing in the present time. The US government is supporting the Al-Khalifa monarchy in Bahrain, home to the US Navy's 5th Fleet, which not only incarcerated and tortured peaceful protesters , but also their first responders as well.

Now to the situation in Yemen, where Houthi rebels gave the boot to the Al-Hadi government. Sir, do you remember how many names were on the ballot during the last election?!? Well, if you do not, I will tell you; only one - that of Al Hadi. How in the name of all that is honest can you tell me, with a straight face, that the Yemenite people had a real choice of candidates in their last election?!?

And now of course, enabled by the US military, the UAE and Saudi Arabia have declared a full-on war against Yemen. Civilians and non-combatants - including children, the medically fragile elderly, and women, are getting routinely slaughtered, all in the name of bringing back the Al-Hadi government, which the people of Yemen despise.

And this, sir, cuts to another issue; when the American government supports tyrants around the world, the world understands that our alleged "love for democracy" is simply a farce, when it gets in the way of doing business. There is no other kind way to say it.

But there is a way of changing this, and that is with how foreign aid is meted out. Much of this winds up as graft and corruption, just settling into the pockets of those world leaders the US government wants to maintain in power.

Aid, in food and medicine, needs to get to the people who desperately need it, and the US government needs to have steps in place that it doesn't go to government cronies to be sold on the black market.

There needs to be public/private partnerships to build roads, bridges, schools, and hospitals, to put people to work in meaningful jobs with decent wages. US taxpayer dollars would be far better spent on such projects, rather than on more wars to suppress local foreign populations.

I really want to see the United States universally respected as "the good guy" in geopolitical issues, and making changes of this nature will do a lot toward achieving that goal.

But ultimately, Mr. Bradford, the largest "weapon" the US government can deploy, to prevent radicalization, is to cease, immediately, to appropriate resources in other countries to which we have absolutely no moral right.

Think home grown cold fusion, alternative fuels which can drive a tank, or fuel a plane; THAT kind of research is ultimately what will save this country from more endless, fruitless wars, ultimately for private profit.

White Students at Washington State Expected to “Defer” to Non-White Students If They Expect to Do Well in Class

This is the racist garbage they’re teaching your kids at university today – That rage against white people is appropriate and white kids need to defer to non-white students if they want to do well in class.

Multiple professors at Washington State University have explicitly told students their grades will suffer if they use terms such as “illegal alien,” “male,” and “female,” or if they fail to “defer” to non-white students.

According to the syllabus for Selena Lester Breikss’ “Women & Popular Culture” class, students risk a failing grade if they use any common descriptors that Breikss considers “oppressive and hateful language.”…

What is Your Computer Hiding From You?

A good question arose in the comments to our Thursday story about U.S. border agents searching and seizing laptop computers. Can't people simply store their data on the cloud to keep it safely from government hands?

Let's think this through. Say you have a few megabytes of data that you wish to keep private. Nothing illegal, just private. You want to access your data after you cross outside U.S. borders. What are your options?

One choice is to store the data in a computer or on a thumb drive and carry it with you. As we saw yesterday, you run the risk of having government agents seize the physical device from you.

Another option is to upload the data to the cloud, safely encrypted from prying eyes, and then download it once you reach your foreign destination. This seems like a better alternative. Is it?

Fascism From West Point

The key weapon in this war, he says, is information. U.S. crimes are not the problem; the problem, he writes, is any information distributed about U.S. crimes -- which information is only damaging because the United States is the pinnacle of support for the rule of law. It wouldn't matter if you spread news about crimes by some more lawless nation. But when you share news about crimes by the United States it hurts the U.S. cause which is upholding the rule of law and leading the world to lawfulness. The United States is the all-time world champion of the rule of law, we're told, in a 95-page screed that never mentions the Kellogg-Briand Pact and only belatedly brings up the United Nations Charter in order to pretend that it permits all U.S. wars.

RON PAUL : Blame the Federal Reserve, Not China, for Stock Market Crash

Many blamed the crash on China’s recent currency devaluation. It is true that the crash was caused by a flawed monetary policy. However, the fault lies not with China’s central bank but with the US Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve’s inflationary policies distort the economy, creating bubbles, which in turn create a booming stock market and the illusion of widespread prosperity. Inevitably, the bubble bursts, the market crashes, and the economy sinks into a recession.

Are you ready for the next big crash?

Of course, when the politicians, the talking head “experts” and the MSM tell you to not panic, it’s time to take notice … and likely time to panic, if you are like most people. Something bad is on the horizon.

Professors threaten bad grades for saying ‘illegal alien,’ ‘male,’ ‘female’

Multiple professors at Washington State University have explicitly told students their grades will suffer if they use terms such as “illegal alien,” “male,” and “female,” or if they fail to “defer” to non-white students. -- According to the syllabus for Selena Lester Breikss’ “Women & Popular Culture” class, students risk a failing grade if they use any common descriptors that Breikss considers “oppressive and hateful language.”

‘Hillary for Prison’ signs keep getting stolen in the Hamptons

This Hamptonite wants Hillary Rodham Clinton behind bars — and had to put his signs saying so behind an electric fence. -- Andy Sabin’s first “Hillary for Prison 2016” signs lasted little more than a day before they were stolen from in front of his Amagansett home last week. So Sabin took steps to make sure the placards were secure.

Central banks can’t save the markets from a crash. They shouldn’t even try

Like children clinging to their parents, stock market traders turned to their central banks last week as they sought protection from the frightening economic figures coming out of China. Surely, they asked, the central banks would ward off the approaching bogeymen, as they had so many times since the 2008 crash.

Former spy paid to infiltrate Greenpeace and unions

The former spy who sued police after his decade of deception was exposed is believed to have been awarded a settlement by his former employers.

Rob Gilchrist sued the police for $550,000 in 2013 alleging he had been hung out to dry by the police after infiltrating activists groups and trade unions.

Gilchrist's double life was finally revealed in December 2008, when his then-girlfriend Rochelle Rees, a Labour Party and animal rights activist found, incriminating emails to police while carrying out work on his computer. She installed spyware on his computer and mobile phone to confirm her suspicions.

It is understood Gilchrist and the police have reached an agreement, though neither party was willing to comment on the resolution of a claim that reached the High Court.

"I'm not in a position to make any comment other than to say I no longer have any outstanding issues surrounding my time working for NZ Police," Gilchrist said, via email.

TSA screener accused of molesting college student in LaGuardia Airport bathroom

A TSA screener is accused of sexually assaulting a woman at LaGuardia Airport in New York City after telling her she needed to be searched in the bathroom.

The suspect did not post $3,000 bail and was moved to jail late Friday night.

Defense attorneys argued two witnesses said they saw another man, but prosecutors say the victim picked Maxie Oquendo out in a lineup.

The TSA screener is accused of using his job to lure a passenger into a bathroom at LaGuardia Airport under the guise that he needed to search her for weapons.

Appeals court reverses ruling that found NSA program illegal

A federal appeals court on Friday ruled in favor of the Obama administration in a dispute over the National Security Agency's bulk collection of telephone data on hundreds of millions of Americans.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit reversed a lower court ruling that said the program likely violates the Constitution's ban on unreasonable searches.

The ruling means the government can continue collecting the data for the next few months, although the program is set to expire at the end of November under legislation that Congress passed earlier this summer to replace it. The appeals court sent the case back for a judge to determine whether the government must divulge more details about the program that would enable the case to go forward.

IF YOU LIKE YOUR 401(k), YOU CAN KEEP YOUR 401(k): Obama Labor Dept. Sets Stage for Nationalizing Retirement Accounts

In 2013, in a little-heralded case, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit rejected the Obama Labor Department's attempt to punish voluntary retirement plan service providers. The DOL, under the direction of the controversial, radical leftist Tom Perez, had tried to force providers of 401(k), 403(b), IRA, and related services to adopt a massive new set of regulations known as "fiduciary" responsibilities.

The Seventh Circuit slammed the door shut on Labor and the Supreme Court thereafter declined to hear the appeal, which meant that the Obama administration had lost in the highest court in the land.

Of course for the "most transparent administration ever", that step simply meant that the court's opinion was to be rejected and that Obama would use his infamous pen to rule by executive fiat. After all, the ends justify the means, correct?

U.S. Police Routinely Travel to Israel to Learn Methods of Brutality and Repression

Political commentator John Miranda recently stated that police brutality is directly linked to the training some officers receive in Israel.

“As for the increase in police brutality within the United States, I think this definitely can be pointed towards the Israeli training that the Department of Homeland Security is giving all of American police officers.

Some police officers are actually being flown to Israel for the training, not all of them but some, and then those that are flown to Israel, they come back home and they train the head officers in the training that they’ve gotten in Israel.

All these incidents, it is not just happening to African Americans. Police are literally being brutal with all Americans.”

Cameron Ennobles Director of British Israel Lobby

There is currently a petition on the House of Commons website that demands the arrest of Netanyahu should he try to visit the UK in September. This petition is now expected to reach 100,000 signatures within the next few days.

However, notwithstanding the strength of feeling in the UK against Israeli brutality, Cameron has stunned British voters by proposing to ennoble the director of the British Israel lobby that condones the illegal settlements and the brutal killings by the IDF.

This perverse decision would mean, if ratified, that effectively, an agent of the Israeli government in Tel Aviv would be sitting in the House of Lords, in London – in the second chamber of the British Parliament.

That is a position that would be deemed anti-democratic at best and unacceptable to those who require our legislators to hold an unequivocal allegiance exclusively to the democratic institutions of the United Kingdom.

IN PHOTOS ~~ #RiseUpOctober

There was a meeting in a church in Harlem organized by people who are opposing police murders and the whole system of mass incarceration (a/k/a the New Jim Crow) which has Black men and women spending decades in prison for non-violent drug offenses (brought about by the Rockefeller drug laws and mandatory sentencing). And with the prisons privately run and them making contracts with many industries where prison labor is a source of slave labor, they find ways of keeping people in prison. A very sick outrageous situation. Of course a disproportionate people in the prisons are black because the police are concentrated in their communities and because they don’t have $ for big name lawyers.

Propaganda Wars: EU Creates Team of Officials to Combat 'Destabilizing' Russian Media

The European Commission has prepared to develop a "rapid response" team to combat what it calls "Russian propaganda," Radio Polska reported on Friday. Up to 10 Russian-speaking officials from EU countries will form the group, which would monitor the Russian media and give policy recommendations based on the media they monitor. While the group does not currently have a budget, it intends to counter what Politico.eu called "the destabilizing influence of Russian-language news reports."

Growing Marijuana Strains that Treat PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)

By Daniel Dharma

In our ongoing series on using marijuana to treat PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), we’ve explained what PTSD is, its symptoms, and that marijuana is being used to treat PTSD.

One of the biggest questions I keep getting asked is “which marijuana strains best treat PTSD?”

You’ll want to read all the other articles in this series to help answer that question, so I’ll put links to those articles at the end of this article.

In those past articles, I talked about generic kinds of marijuana that help with PTSD, and why they help.

In this article I give you info about growing specific marijuana strains that help with PTSD…

SWAT Team Raids Home, Kills Man Over $2 Worth of Pot – Informant Exposes Police Cover-Up

The fact that a young man with his whole life to live was killed by police, over a $2 dollars worth of a plant, is a direct statement on the absurdity of the “War on Drugs.” The practice of trusting the word of individuals who have a vested interest in alleviating their own criminal charges is a practice that is contrary to the highest ideals of justice

Data retention and the end of Australians' digital privacy

The digital privacy of Australians ends from Tuesday, October 13.

On that day this country's entire communications industry will be turned into a surveillance and monitoring arm of at least 21 agencies of executive government.

The electronically logged data of mobile, landline voice (including missed and failed) calls and text messages, all emails, download volumes and location information will be mandatorily retained by Australian telcos and ISPs.

Intelligence and law enforcement agencies will have immediate, warrantless and accumulating access to all telephone and internet metadata required by law, with a $2 million penalty for telcos and ISPs that don't comply.

Felony Marijuana Charges Dismissed Against 94 Year Old War Veteran In Charlotte North Carolina

The charges had been dismissed! From the Law Office of Christopher Connelly:

Attorney Chris Connelly was honored to represent Douglas Ponischil in this marijuana felony case and secure a dismissal. Mr. Ponischil is a 94 yo WWII combat veteran who survived a U Boat attack that left him in the dangerous waters of the Caribbean for several days until rescue.

He had never had any adverse contact with the law until March of 2015 when police raided his house and arrested him, accusing him of felony possession of marijuana. This arrest ocurred several weeks after marijuana had been mailed to his home on someone else’s behalf. Instead of investigating whether this 94 year old vet was perhaps being taken advantage of by others, law enforcement arrested him and put him in jail.

As Liz Vargas was walking her daughter into school on November 5, officer Kevin Fitzpatrick heroically swooped in to protect the citizens of Tampa from Vargas’ tinted license plate cover.

Not having done anything wrong, and upset that she was being harassed in front of her children, Vargas voiced her discontent.

“Then because I was in my pj’s he called me bummy, and he accused me of illegal drugs, that’s why I got argumentative,” Vargas said of the incident.

Within 34 seconds of his encounter with Vargas, Fitzpatrick grabbed her wrist and had slammed the innocent woman to the ground, face first.

After being brutally assaulted in front of her child by police, Vargas retained attorney Brett Szematowicz.

“At best that could be explained away that he thought there was an officer safety issue with her pointing up at the sky, but he never said he ordered her back in the car, he never said he felt threatened by her actions at any point,” Szematowicz said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

People of Florida, please vote with your feet; move out of the state, and let your tax dollars be spent somewhere else where, at least, this kind of "in your face" police brutality is a little less frequent.

If this is how Tampa police interpret "to protect and serve", now is one hell of a good time to "get out of Dodge".
