THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!

"Imperialism today is taking place in the context of...the 'universalization' of capitalism. It is not now primarily a matter of territorial conquest or direct military or colonial control. It is not now a matter of capitalist powers invading non-capitalist powers in order to bleed them dry directly and by brute force. Now it is more a matter of ensuring that the forces of the capitalist market prevail in every corner of the world (even if this means marginalizing and impoverishing parts of it), and of manipulating those market forces to the advantage of the most powerful capitalist economies and the United States in particular." ... "Military force is still central to the imperialist project, in some ways more than ever."-- Political scientist Ellen Meiksins-Wood, Z magazine Nov 1999, p26

HAPPY 'KICK OUT THE GOVERNMENT' DAY!!!

World Bank Secret Report confirms Biofuel Cause of World Food Crisis

A secret study by the World Bank, which reportedly has not been made public on pressure from the Bush Administration, concludes that bio-fuel cultivation in especially the USA and EU are directly responsible for the current explosion in grain and food prices worldwide. The US Government at the recent Rome UN Food Summit claimed that "only 3% of food prices" were due to bio-fuels. The World Bank secret report says that at least 75% of the recent price rises are due to land being removed from agriculture—mainly maize in North America and rapeseed and corn in the EU—in order to grow crops to be burned for vehicle fuel. The World Bank study confirms what we wrote more than a year ago about the madness of bio-fuels. It fits the agenda described in the 1970’s by Henry Kissinger, namely, ‘If you control the food you control the people.’

Efficiency in controlling human populations

Anonymous

Starvation is an inefficient means of controlling human populations. In a pinch poor people have the tendency to grow their own food, scrape small amounts of food out of discarded cans in dumpsters, cook up family pets, or simply eat grass (as during the Irish Potato Famine). There are simply too many easy alternatives to eating real food for starvation to adequately control human populations.

If the world's population is going to be effectively controlled, it seems war is still the best remedy. And nuclear war seems ready for the challenge.

Pestilence is another such means, but this is a hit-or-miss proposition. Though we might note significant scientific progress is being made in bio-weaponry intended to target specific populations with good kill rates.

Still, noting the extent of the problem supporting bio-fuels seems a population control approach with an efficacy factor that should not be entirely discounted as ineffective.

Increased pollution from an increased availability of fuel of all kinds is bound to pay population control dividends sooner or later. And experts have been lately advising the only way to go is to get cremated when the blissful end does come, this for its usefulness in adding to the depth of the oxygen depletion of the lower atmosphere in urban settings.

And if you must have a dog, get three big ones that crap terds the size of cord wood.

I like that 3% figure!

justice

That's exactly the percentage of oil reserves WE have if we drill offshore here AND IN ANWR.
Drilling in BOTH areas(which would take ten years to bring from the drill-site to the gas pump anyway),WOULD MEET ONLY 3% of Americas NEEDS at our present COMSUMPTION rate(ravenous).
So Offshore OR ANWR,we would STILL NEED Foreign OIL,and they KNOW IT TOO!
We are sticking domestic bandaids on amputated Global limbs!
The majority of Americas oil was USED UP BIG TIME in WW2.
We could only MEET 3% of our present rate needs!
Scary!
