THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!

" One in 10 chance perhaps, but save Chile! ... not concerned with risks involved ... $10,000,000 available, more if necessary ... make the economy scream."-- CIA Director Richard Helms, discussing plan to destabilize government of Chile under democractically-elected President Salvador Allende

Wasilla Police Billed Sexual Assault Victims for Their Own Rape Kits

Of all of the things I’ve learned about Sarah Palin in the last week and a half, this has got to be the most disturbing. While Sarah Palin was serving as the Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, the city charged victims of sexual assault between $300 and $1200 for their own rape kits. A rape kit is a sexual assault forensic evidence kit, used to collect DNA that can be used in criminal proceedings to assist in the conviction of those who commit sex crimes. The kit is performed as soon as possible after a sexual assault or attack has been committed. It is usually humiliating and uncomfortable for the victim–imagine enduring that and then paying $1200 just so that the criminal who assaulted you might be caught.

Okay i just have to ask what

Okay i just have to ask what the difference is between a $300.00 kit and a $1200.00 kit?

Maybe the Gov't can give Americans a Fannie kit or a Freddie Kit to know that they have been screwed of course not to mention the $800 billion Congress increased our debt before going on vacation!

She finally got to me.

Of all the corruption, theft, and treachery, this finally takes the cake. For the victim of a crime to have to pay for the collection of the evidence to convict the criminal who committed the crime against them is about as low as law enforcement can go. It also shows just where in the feeding chain crimes against women and girls are.

The article didn't mention a fee for processing the collection of bullets from a shooting scene. And this is the best the Republicans can come up with.

Let's apply this to another situation on a grander scale

The US, prior to March of 2003 was going to use profits from the sale of Iraqi oil to repair the damage they did in terrorizing Iraq. That to me sounds quite similar to the rapes in Wasilla ... make the victims pay.

But now the US killing more Iraqis and destroying even more of Iraq's infrastructure.

So, imagine a rape victim going to the police station to report the rape and the police there take turns raping her over and over again. Now, imagine the media coming in and they rape her too.

Hey, that's what the US is doing to Iraq!

Perverted logic for a perverted government of a perverted country.

$

kcimos

$billions to fight the war on drugs.
but no money to fight real crime.

to bad there wasn't a system of government where the taxpayers had a say in how their hard earned tax dollars were spent.

hmmmm.
