THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!

Truth needs no law to support it. Truth is self-evident to all. Truth withstands re-examination. Truth survives questions. Throughout history, from Galileo to Zundel, only lies and liars have resorted to the courts to enforce adherence to dogma." -- Michael Rivero

Wanna Know Where The Bailout Is Headed? Mexico's Been There, Done That

Fury at the billionaire bail-out of the criminal class that has driven Wall Street into a disaster of 9/11 dimensions festers down at the bottom of the economic food chain on Main Street USA. It is a familiar syndrome south of the border. Bailing out the super rich on the backs of the rest of us has had Mexicans seething since the great FOBAPROA scam of the mid-1990s.

Don Robertson.. I think you are the best writer on this forum.

poorrichard

I don't know what your political direction is but, it seems to be in the direction of positive social change.. I like that idea.. You are a very good writer.. Keep up the good works.

Sometimes you get negative about other writers that are famous.. You don't need to be famous at this point in history, all you need to do is to write the truth.. The truth tellers will eventually win the day.

Why don't you write something in the blog section of your own stuff that can be brought up the Mainpage?.. I think you are a major talent... I would go ahead... It's up to you.

Don't worry

You are supporting the people that run your country.

If you had cared enough to look at what they were doing, rather than watching Survivor reruns, none of this could have happened.

So when it comes to blaming someone, have a good hard look in the mirror at the damned fool in front of you. That's your biggest enemy.

Complacency will be the end of the US of A. So you might as well enjoy what little is left of it.

America's real estate infrastructure is crumbing

Anonymous

America's real estate infrastructure is crumbing as we write here, friends.

Winter is coming and the vacant housing that now litters the American landscape is crumbling. Pipes are forging leaks and leaks on top of leaks in housing that went through last winter winterized.

Mold and mildew is setting into virtually everything that is even slightly porous in these vacant homes. Electrical wiring connections are oxydizing. Motors in pumps, furnaces, airconditioners and ventilation fans are being destroyed.

There is a movement afoot to blame the crisis on the poor.

I like it, the lazy bastards!

The arguments are pretty good on that count, resounding a rally-able theme for the disgruntled, while proving again that logic and reasoning aren't worth the spit in the mouth that the foot most often gets shoved into.

The only thing the next administration will be able to do is to cut. And cut they will.

So, social services are going to get the axe. So, blaming the whole mess on the poor lazy bastard that has been living Section 8, welfare and food stamps is going to gain some serious traction. They are an easy and most often quite ample target for common rage.

It should garner some votes in the 2010 midterm election to show some politician's foot rebounding off some fat lazy bastard's ass.

States are finding it increasingly difficult to borrow money.

I'd lend them the paltry bit I have saved up, but I'd want some very serious interest on that, say ten times inflation, compounded daily, if not hourly as may become necessary.

So the states haven't got enough money for much more than rationed state procured whores and hookers, a little blow-money, and less of all that all the time.

Times is rough.

The federal government seems intent upon borrowing as much as it can, printing up what it can't borrow, and handing all that over to the richest people in the country with interest paid to them too on what they can carry away in their motorized wheel barrels.

The big question being delved into in Washington right now is, how many wheel barrel loads will it take to cart off 700 billion dollars?

So, budget cuts are hollaring for popular support. You got it!

Maine's governor just advised all department heads to gird for a 10% across the board budget cut.

I've cut ten percent every week for the last ten weeks and my account has never been in the red.

By all means stay off Maine's roads where the state constabulary can tap you for a little revenue of their own. The speed limit is what they say it is in Maine.

Everything is for sale, everywhere. It's hysterical.

Who the heck does anyone think is going to buy all that stuff?

My wife and I took the driving vacation of a lifetime a couple of years back. It was the only way to go, and likely out of the reach of most everyone's pocket book these days.

One thing we noticed about America, and that is that there are sure a hell of a lot of signs out there that say CRAWLERS.

A good coffee table book could be made of pictures of signs that say CRAWLERS, in America.

I expect to see one of those CRAWLERS signs hung on the door to the Oval Office as soon as the next president is inaugurated.

Bamboo pole Catfish fishing in the Potomac is going to make a strong comeback in the years to come.
