THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!

" One in 10 chance perhaps, but save Chile! ... not concerned with risks involved ... $10,000,000 available, more if necessary ... make the economy scream."-- CIA Director Richard Helms, discussing plan to destabilize government of Chile under democractically-elected President Salvador Allende

"Torturing Democracy" premieres on affiliates as PBS ducks the torture issue.

This spring, PBS’s distinguished Frontline series aired a mildly critical account of the lead-up to the Iraq War entitled “Bush’s War.” As the airing of the program was announced, the Bush Administration proposed to slash public funding for PBS by roughly half for 2009, by 56% for 2010 and eliminating funding entirely for 2011. Did PBS get the message? Perhaps.

PBS?

justice

I used to enjoy some of the programs on PBS,while it REMAINED PBS.
But,when they gave in to the corporations and started showing commercials for investment Co's, Oil/Gas Co's,Motor Vehicle Co's etc,I decided to discontinue my sub and stopped watching ON PRINCIPLE!
Too bad PBS,you gave in TOO QUICK to the fat cats and left us ordinary Americans behind somewhat.
Not exactly "PUBLIC" Broadcasting anymore.

And PBS,if you are intimidated by a PRESIDENT who threatens to pull your funds, for showing the truth then you know you are on the wrong side by listening to him,and will lose your viewers who really care for this Nation,Free Speech and uncensored media

That's okay, the money I used to send to PBS now goes to FreeSpeech TV!
Constitution OVER Corporation, hands down!
