Tony Blair's Sister-in-Law Stuck in Gaza

According to Booth’s posting, “among the internationals currently stranded in Gaza” are Irish activist and former Hawaiian legislator Kenneth O’Keefe and Dr. William Dienst, an American physician.

Booth ended her release with the assertion that “Diplomatic channels are trying to negotiate the exit of the human rights workers who wish, like Palestinians, to exercise their human rights under Article 13 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: (1) Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state and (2) Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.”

The problem is that Gaza, which is under the control of the Hamas terrorist organization, is not a country.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Dr. Bill Dienst was a guest on our show before he and the Free Gaza boats left to go to Cypress, and from there to Gaza.

He is a humanitarian and rural American physician who volunteered his time to help the Gazan people, period end of discussion.

I would like to encourage Americans to immediately write, call, or fax the office of James B. Cunningham, the US Ambassador to Israel, and for Britons to immediately write, call or fax the British Ambassador to Israel, Tom Phillips, demanding the release of these Israeli-detained individuals immediately. Be pleasant and concise in your message. But let them know that this issue will not go away by ignoring it.
