Team McCain and the Trooper

Key Alaska allies of John McCain are trying to derail a politically charged investigation into Gov. Sarah Palin's firing of her public safety commissioner in order to prevent a so-called "October surprise" that would produce embarrassing information about the vice presidential candidate on the eve of the election.

Webmaster's Commentary: 

It occurs to me that if the Alaska legislature really wanted to delink the investigation from the campaign they would have postponed the conclusions until after the election. If they are moving it up two weeks, it tells me the fix is in and they are going to clear Palin so she can play the poor wronged victim right into the US Naval Observatory.
