Rumsfeld Sept 10, 2001: The Pentagon cannot account for $2.3 TRILLION

Rumsfeld promised change but the next day – Sept. 11-- the world changed and in the rush to fund the war on terrorism, the war on waste seems to have been forgotten.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Funny how that worked out. September 10th, 2001, Donald Rumsfeld admits that the Pentagon has misplaced $2.3 trillion (with a 't') of YOUR tax dollars. That should have been the economic story of the year, a cause for congressional investiigation at least.

But lucky for Don, the very next day the media had somehting else to look at, and even luckier for Don, the airplane that hit the Pentagon circled around the building and slammed into the section of the very offices where auditors were trying to find just who would up with all that cash.

Lucky, lucky, Don.
