Police union demands info on 9/11 toxic debris
New York City's police union is demanding more information about the effects of toxic debris from the 9/11 attacks.
The Patrolmen's Benevolent Association called on the city to release all data about officers who suffered cancer after responding at the World Trade Center at a news conference on Sunday.
The union also showed the uniform worn that day by Officer Alonzo Harris.
It was tested and found to have dangerous carcinogens on it.
These first responders deserve the absolute best, in terms of clear information as to what they were exposed to, and the best possible treatment available against the carcinogens they encountered, trying to bring the wounded to safety, and searching for bodies.
And please remember; Christie Todd Whitman and President Bush assured them it was "safe" to do the work they did, when the reality on the ground contradicted that in every way.

Typical union
uppity serfThe union should have been raising bloody hell when the workers were allowed to go into that obviously toxic sh*t heap on the first day without so much as dust masks. 75 blocks away at work, the toxic smell lingered in the air for months, I can't imagine being right on top of it. But it's nice that the PBA is getting tough over 10 years later. I guess it takes 10 years of paying your union dues to get them off their lazy asses. But try being late on your monthly union dues. Good lookin' out, fellas. They deserve the best, but like the troops, they are treated like fodder, mere disposable pawns in another schemed-up day of infamy.
