New-registrations check for fraud could crash entire voter database, Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner says

Ohio's voter database was poorly constructed and cannot handle a massive check for fraud among the state's 700,000 newly registered voters, Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner said Thursday.

Brunner concluded that the checks could crash the entire state database, which contains about 8.3 million registered voters. That would be too risky a proposition with a major election a few days away.

Webmaster's Commentary: 

Whoever in the Ohio state government hired the company which wrote the software, and the company which wrote the software, should both be tried and convicted for a criminal betrayal of the Ohio voters.

There should be one national system of voting, which can be verified by a paper trail, period, end of discussion.

Of course, it's harder to rig an election when you have a paper trail.
